Chapter 26

Agni: (He smirks a bit as he hangs near the balcony just enjoying the time alone).  Well now-now I have a guest who doesn’t want to speak a word.  Well, that is fine enjoying the silence is just as good.

Adara: (Looks over with a smirk as well just hidden).  Well silence nights like this are good for collecting your thoughts.  Who knows maybe think of a new theory or two?

Agni: Well of course there are always things to think of in all different aspects but that what makes things interesting.

Adara: (Leans back on the tree and looks up).  Yes, there are many ways a theory or play in a game may turn out. It helps to analyze every aspect… It makes games more interesting, especially the one being played now.  Its looks very intriguing.  (Looks over at Agni biting her thumb a little under her mask as she thinks).

Agni: Well of course there are always things to think of in all different aspects but that what makes things interesting.

Adara: (Leans back on the tree and looks up).  Yes, there are many ways a theory or play in a game may turn out.  It helps to analyze every aspect… It makes games more interesting, especially the one being played now.  Its looks very intriguing.  (Looks over at Agni biting her thumb a little under her mask as she thinks).

Agni: I’m not sure what you’re talking about though I’m just waiting for your next turn my dear and playing these games defiantly do keep me on my toes (he smiles)

Adara: (Smiles as well lighting a fire in her hand).  Maybe I am not sure of what you talk of either. But the games are quite fun, they at least give a challenge.  For now, I just wait for your play instead and see what happens and keep my half a full mystery.  (Tosses a small bit of the fire to Agni still holding some as she plays with it in her hand).

Agni: (He catches the fire and makes it change colors as he is holding it).  Well, any good strategist never reveals their full hand right off the bat so you may be waiting, but I shall test your patience. But for now, I shall call this evening done now don’t you think the same.  (He smiles as he leaves the fire on the balcony as it burns with a green color).

Adara: (Is taken by surprise by the green flame making her stop and look at her own red flame almost being lost in her own thoughts of it and the tree she sits on with a sigh).  I suppose it’s a good strategy but it’s certainly a complex game. But maybe you right on me lacking patients… Maybe on quite a few things wanting to be different… Maybe even be able to open up… Oh well maybe one day I will put my cards down… I’ve been holding onto one for a very long time.  (Closes her fist putting out her flame using a vine to slide down the tree with ease looking back at Agni once more her eyes having a hint of sadness with a faint glow of green before turning away and going on her way).

Both walk away leaving in the dark night being very silent but not realizing she had been watched a figure in the far corner of the courtyard quickly hiding once he sees the distant fire and seeing Adara and Agni even if very briefly.  Kyoda being the one hiding watches closely noticing a flame in Adara’s hand as well.

Kyoda: (He ponders his thoughts together though he had just met Adara though he had great suspicion of her being of fire element. Yet at the same time he can’t help but trust’s his big brothers’ opinion, so he is very unsure of what is happening.  His thoughts go more and more wild as he can’t logically think the two would meet if was not Adara is a spy… He worries but decides to see what else might happen in the meantime to help him come to a decision).

The night moves on into dawn as everyone is preparing for the court gathering later that day.  The group still traveling the ocean on a giant sea turtle still rests though are anxious for reuniting with Yami.  Most are still fast asleep currently but slowly they start to wake Tori being one of the first surprisingly.  He wakes up slowly from a dream of flight still being a little hazy from rest.  He feels like he’s sleeping up against something grey, large, wet, and wrinkled, similar to that of an elephant.  He realizes it is the manatee, Manny he is turn towards in his sleep.  The creature seems very calm and gentle as it is turned towards him a little with its larger upper lip giving the impression of cute pout with Silver roosting above his head.

Tori: (He laughs as he pets Manny).  Well thanks for letting me sleep on you last night Manny.  You were pretty comfortable so still thanks a lot.  (Manny simply moves his head down a little being very calm and docile.  As Tori is petting Manny, he realizes his wings are out as he is laying on his side realizing they are out by someone tugging on them when he moves away slightly.  It feels as if someone is holding onto them snuggling and holding them like a pillow.  He is wondering what is happening on his wing he can’t but smile as he turns his head and see’s Kairi being the culprit of the cuddling on his wings and arm in her pink sleeping bag).  Well, she must have moved over here while she was sleeping.  (He pets her head).  Oh well, might as well let her sleep.

Kairi: (Smiles in her sleep snuggling and holding the black wings close to her like she would one of her stuffed animals the stuffed rabbit she brought being used as a pillow.  She rubs her cheek a little on the wings from how soft they are as she rests peacefully).  … So soft….

Tori: (He blushes but can’t help but chuckle at the comment as he pats her head still).  Well thank you very much Kairi, you’re a sweetheart.

Kairi: (snuggles into the wings more with a sigh from being pet on the head).

Jennifer: (Overhearing Tori and Kairi she can’t help but blush still being protective but knowing Kairi is happy.  She suddenly turns to see Chazz sleeping beside her making her blush deepen.  Looking at Chazz’s sleeping face more she calms down and smile reaching out to place a hand on his cheek softly).

Chazz: (He sleeps soundly as Hiki also does but she is close to him fully as if they are snuggling).

Jennifer: (Looks over seeing Hiki as well keeping her smile seeing the both of them. She then looks on her hand on Chazz’s cheek seeing the ring she has and the matching one Chazz wear frowning apologetically back towards Hiki.  She knows Hiki has deep feelings as well but doesn’t want her heart broken if it comes to that.  She sighs shaking those thoughts away knowing things will work out some way. She looks back at Chazz her smile returning watching him sleep as her feelings get the best of her.  She crawls over closer to snuggle up to Chazz on his other side feeling at ease at the warmth and comfort she feels from him).

Hiki: (She smiles but can’t help but feel sad as she can guess what Jennifer is feeling right now.  However, for right now she is just happy to be able to stay next to Chazz even if they aren’t together as a couple, she would still be happy because he will still the mean the world to her.  One of the first people to truly accept her she can never replace those feelings she got from him).

Shizen: (Wakes about the same time around dawn sighing contently finding she is resting her head on Rowen’s chest with his arm around her holding onto her shoulder.  She looks up with a growing smile at Rowen seeing his face as he rests).  Well now… There is something I wouldn’t mind waking up to daily.  A very handsome view if I might add.

Rowen: (He moves around a little as he is waking up as well).  Well, I wouldn’t mind such a beautiful lady laying down on me.

Shizen: (Grins but Rowen can tell there is a faint blush).  Not a bad way to wake up at all.  (Moves up so she can place a kiss on his lips).

Rowen: (He happily kisses her back).  Nope not a problem at all but should we really be getting up right now.

Shizen: Yes, as well as waking up the others. It will be a long day once we reach land.  (Is about to get up but sees the walrus, Waliver as he cuddles up as well with a flipper around Rowen with a snort and snoring sound).  Hmm looks like someone else had a nice night’s sleep as well.  (Laughs a little).

Rowen: (He laughs a bit as he pets Waliver).  Yeah, it certainly seems like it at least he enjoyed it

Shizen: Yes, though I would say I am not a fan of sharing… Well, I believe animals are a different case anyways at least.  (As Rowen feels something move around on the blankets climbing up to his chest. They can see a tail wagging and Echo’s head pop out of the blankets waddling happily as she climbs up to stand on Rowen’s chest).  Ahh especially this little one here.

Rowen: (He laughs as he can’t forget about Echo).  Well, I can’t forget about you now can I when it comes to petting now can I.

Shizen: Well, she is your animal companion now and very attached to you indeed.  (Laughs as well petting Echo’s head as she climbs up to lick Rowen’s face her tail wagging even more).

Rowen: I know I know but wouldn’t replace her for anything.  (He wipes his face after the licking attack from Echo).

Shizen: I understand fully. I can see she wants the day to start too so let’s get started.  (Sits up with a smile as she stretches her arms).

Rowen: yes, let’s get everyone up than I believe.  (He does the same to stretch out).

Shizen: (Nods but pauses seeing quite a few others have cuddled up to one another).  It looks like we were not the only ones to cuddle up then.

Rowen: (He looks around and can’t help but smile a little).  Well, this group does have many connections that are a bit closer than others might think.

Shizen: (Grins and nods in agreement).  Certainly, our little young love birds here.

Mizuko: (Is sitting in the same area she sat the night before with a kind smile).  I agree, it is quite sweet to see.

Shizen: (Smile’s towards Mizuko).  Morning Mizu, not surprised that you’re up so early, nor am I of Kura either.  (Looks to the other side of the platform seeing Kura look out forward into the water).

Rowen: (He sighs).  At least some people know how to get up early.  (As Orion is still out cold).

Shizen: (Looks over seeing Orion sleep near Kairi with Spike sprawled out on top of him as he snuggles up.  They can also hear deep snores but are not sure if they are coming from Orion or the large shaggy dog seeming amused by the two).  Well, I will admit ones Orion’s sleeps he’s out cold.  I don’t think he could have picked a canine companion to suit him better either.

Mizuko: (Seems amused as well but covers it a little more).  They do seem quite similar, just like with his tortoise friend Rocky.  (Looks forward seeing Rocky sleep on Sally’s head just as soundly).

Rowen: Well, I guess he isn’t over his daughter just yet but I’m happy he has closer at least.  And yes, always seeing young love is great because have most of their lives to figure everything out.

Shizen: Young love is very innocent, there’s some very sweet about it as well. As for Orion… Loss of a daughter is something you truly never could be over with or recover from. I know if something ever happened to mine, I would have moments like yesterday just as much as Orion is… Just the thought is very painful to think about.  (Looks down for a moment then back at Orion sleeping still with a few snores).  I think he sees Kairi as second chance to have that type of bond again.

Mizuko: (Nods in agreement with a sympathetic look).  Having that form of bond once again would help heal some of the pain in his heart little by little.

Rowen: Oh, I am aware of that type of pain….  (He holds his chest where immediately understanding what Mizuko means).

Shizen: (Notices Rowen hold his chest and puts a hand over his hand with a tender smile). I know you do… At least Mizuko makes a good point on moving forward.

Rowen: True… In order to properly become better is by going forward.  (He smiles as he holds Shizen’s hand)

Mizuko: (Smiles at both Shizen and Rowen seeing the deep feelings they already have).  

Chazz: (This sweet moment goes on until some of the others start to wake fully as well one of them being Chazz finding both Jennifer and Hiki cuddled up to him.  He looks around him understanding why Hiki is like that since they did that a lot when Chazz was a child but is confused about Jennifer, he Just looks flustered).

Jennifer: (As Chazz shuffles around in his flusteredness she snuggles closer sighing contently as she rests with a smile on her face).

Chazz: (He stops blushing and scrambling around as he just sighs as he accepts his fate).  Well at least they are both comfortable.

Jennifer: (Snuggles more onto Chazz’s chest holding him close as he can notice the restful heartfelt smile).

Chazz: (he smiles he wants to pet the two girls however he can’t move his arms right now, so he lays there letting them both sleep for a bit more as Hiki gets closer to Chazz as well).

Kairi: (Not everyone is ready to wake up wanting the moments of rest to last though Kairi is one that starts to stir from sleep.  It is clear she is about to wake up being closer to Tori with a hand gripped onto his shirt as she lies on his soft wings comfortably snuggling up to them and Tori as well).

Tori: (He smiles as he rubs her head).  Now, now it’s time to wake up soon Kairi.  The early Kairi gets the first hug.

Kairi: (She moves around a little rubbing her cheek on Tori’s wing feathers cutely and with her hand rubs her eye a little being blurred by slowly waking up).

Tori: (He smiles​ as he pets her again).  Waking up Finally miss sleepy head Kairi?

Kairi: … Tori?  (Starts to sit up on her knees on the feathers like a bed now rubbing both eyes cute and sleepily).

Tori: Yes, miss Kairi how may I help you this beautiful morning madam?  (He smirks enjoying on how cute Kairi is)

Kairi: (She lets down her hands from rubbing her eyes to look at Tori.  She starts to blush putting his words together her mind wakes up. She looks down as well realizing she is sleeping on his wing as well and how close she ended up snuggling up to him).  Good morning, Tori.  (Her blush grows looking down still cutely and with her hands in her lap).

Tori: morning again Kairi, I guess you slept comfortable from how hard you were hanging onto me.

Kairi: I was… It was really comfortable though.  (Begins to giggle but then as she looks down, she sees the black feathers reach to pet a few of them from how soft they are).  Did I sleep on your wing too?

Tori: Well, it certainly felt like you were but I’m happy you were getting so comfortable.  (As he continues sitting close to Kairi).

Kairi: (Continues to blush and smile cutely towards Tori).  Well, you’re really nice to snuggle with, I can’t help it it’s just so comfortable and so I just fall asleep easier.  I hope you don’t mind it. 

Tori: (Well he blushes as he holds his face to hide it from Kairi for a moment).  Well, I’m glad than… And I’ll never mind.

Kairi: (She giggles gaining her bright smile as well).  I’m glad plus your wings were really soft so thank you.  I wish I could sleep like that every day.  (Continues to smile leaning forward to give Tori a hug).

Tori: Well, if we do, we got to keep it a secret don’t want to make your sister mad now do we.

Kairi: (Looks over at Jennifer seeing her still resting on Chazz with Hiki and giggles).  As long as she sleeps on Chazz then that makes us even, but I don’t want you to get in trouble so alright.  (Smiles up at Tori and giggles with a blush again).

Tori: (He smirks).  Yep, it’ll be our little secret now Kairi better keep it.

Kairi: (Nods but gets a heavy blush as Tori can tell she thinks of something.  She all the sudden leans over giving Tori a quick kiss on the cheek pulling away just as quickly with a cute smile and a deep blush).  I promise Tori….

Tori: (He holds his cheek as he is still shocked but nods his head as he blushes heavily as well).  Alright than… We should help get everyone up.

Kairi: (Nods with a big smile and a giggle as she carefully gets up to put her blanket and stuffed animal rabbit in her bag).

Kura: (Can be heard from above on the platform ledge with a small laugh having watched them as Silver jumps up to perch on Tori’s hair picking at his hair affectionately).

Tori: (He pets Silver to help calm her down).  Now, now you’re so lively in the morning as always Silver but don’t hurt my hair too much alright?

Kairi: (As Tori takes care of Silver, she skips over to put her bag away noticing Orion lie next to them.  She sees he is snoring with Spike snuggled up onto of him as he holds the dog in his arms and snores.  She smiles seeing the large shaggy dog snore with him going over and kneeling to wake Orion up.  She first pets Spikes head who snorts to being woken up but then gives Kairi a small lick before resting up to Orion again.  She giggles at the dog kisses petting Spike again before waking Orion up.  She doesn’t want to wake him up to suddenly, so she gently pokes his cheek).  Orion?

Orion: (He wakes up slowly from the touch as he groans and moves around a little).  Just a little more….

Kairi: (Pouts and pokes his cheek again).  But it’s time to wake up.

Orion: (He groans one more time).  But Kairi I want to sleep.

Shizen: (Walks over seeing the situation Kairi is dealing with).  Nice of you to try Kairi but that’s not the way to wake Orion.  Sometimes you need to give him a little push.  (Smirks glancing over to Mizuko).

Mizuko: (Instantly know that look and clasps her hands close to her in a protective way).  Shizen you know I can’t do that, it’s to rude.

Shizen: (Pouts but then starts thinking of other solutions looking out into the water, her smirk returning).  Hmm.

Kairi: (Tilts her head being very confused).

Orion: (He immediately hears Shizen’s voice and sits up at great speed).  I’m up, I’m up no need for that.

Shizen: (Looks forward still Orion seeing a shadow form and loom over him as she steps away pulling Kairi with her with Spike quickly moving as well over to Rowen the shadow being the shape of a whale’s tail).  Too late already asked…  Have fun there.  (Waves to Orion with a grin seeming more amused than sympathetic like Mizuko shows).

Orion: (He smirks towards Shizen as he raises his hand about to make a gesture not right for Kairi to see right as the water coming from the splash of the tail hits him).

Shizen: (Burst out in laughter as the splash hits being quite large from the Orca doing a little wave towards it).  Great job there Orkid.

Jennifer: (Being above on the platform she, Chazz and Hiki get hit a bit but not nearly as much as Orion feeling the cold water hit her instantly making her jump to sit up in shock and Owlet do a small screech with a frantic flap of wing as well as from Silver).  Ahh!

Hiki: (She does the same as she is looking around her).  Ahh that was too cold!

Chazz: (He sits up finally being set free from the two laying on him).  Yeah… Why did he splash his tail?

Jennifer: (Looks at the orca and beluga as she wipes herself off).  It sounds like Shizen asked Orkid and Bally to play a little joke.  (She then looks at Orion seeing he’s completely drenched).  Oh my….

Shizen: (Continues to laugh greatly with an even bigger grin).  Have a nice shower Orion?

Mizuko: (Shakes her head and sighs still with a sympathetic look).  Was that really necessary?

Orion: (He spits out water as goes toward Shizen).  Yes of course I did maybe you want to take part in it as well.  (As he starts sharing the drenching water with her).

Shizen: (Laughs as she tries to block with her hands).  No, I’m good!  (Laughs more as his hair gets wet from Orion squeezing out the water from his sleeves onto her head).

Kairi: (Looks at Orion as well and can’t help but giggle).  Whoa you’re completely soaked Orion!

Orion: (He laughs as well).  Well, I know I am but I got to share the water with my dear sister.

Shizen: (Crosses her hands with a pout).  Oh, you act like I did something wrong. (Just then she is splashed as well this time from the Beluga).

Orion: (He starts laughing a lot).  Haha that’s what you get!

Shizen: (Pouts towards the beluga as it’s her turn to spit out some water).  I feel very betrayed Bally.

Kairi: (Giggles shaking her head her hair wet from being close to the splash with Rowen and Mizuko).

Mizuko: (Sighs but can’t help but smile as she absorbs the water into herself that splashes towards her not phasing her at all).

Rowen: (He sighs as moves Kairi to the side, so she doesn’t become part of the water park).  At least a lively morning.

Kairi: (Continues to giggle and nods).  But it’s a fun one too!

Mizuko: (Everyone starts to see a flow of water come off their bodies and clothes with a feeling of quickly drying off.  They see she is making a few graceful flowing movements as the water flows to turn into a sphere shape in her hand).  It will never be a calm morning with the two of you.  I should be used to this.

Kairi: (Looks amazed as the water flows off her and the other putting a hand in one of the streams of water her sister doing the same feeling the cool water pass in-between her fingers).  Woah….

Orion: (he sits back down) yes, yes but yeah you should be used to this Mizu since it’s just how we are.

Hiki: (She is doing the same thing as the two sisters but is more amazed by how precise and yet powerful the water feels).

Shizen: It’s all in good fun though.  (Punches Orion in the arm and laughs).

Kairi: (Still is amazed by the water seeing it all go into a sphere shape).  That was really amazing though, the water looked so graceful and clear.  It flowed so easily to you.

Jennifer: I haven’t seen many things done with water so it’s extraordinary to see the element flow so easily.  It looks so beautiful too.

Mizuko: (Is taken a little off guard by the comments but smiles humbly).  It’s nothing to big done just now, just a simple way for everyone to dry off easily.

Orion: Now, now Mizu, don’t get all flustered now because of our guest’s here or am I seeing a small blush, right?  (He taps her shoulder).

Mizuko: (Looks at Orion in surprise being taken off guard again making a blush show).  It’s nothing like that, it’s just I do not consider myself as powerful as you and Shizen claim and brag about is all.

Shizen: (Goes on the other side of Mizuko with a grin).  We have good reason to brag Mizu. Your to humble about your strength in you element too.

Mizuko: (Continues to smile but looks down as she blushes).  I like to focus on the beauty in clarity and reflection of my element as well as its healing.  I don’t really prefer competition and sparring fights.  I wouldn’t want anyone to be harmed by my waters.

Orion: I know you are focusing on that stuff but… understand on beautiful and strong water can be… Not just us too.  (He suddenly started thinking of the incident with the fires).

Shizen: I’ve seen you use your water and just like us you use it as a extension of your body and soul.  There’s a beauty to it people are in awe of every time.  Even Shiro repeated to you to have more confidence in your abilities.

Mizuko: (Smiles at both Orion and Shizen on both sides of her but looks down for a moment).  I was not saying water is not strong, but I’ve always understood for the need of that confidence though.  I just prefer the more peaceful way of dealing with things and focusing more on the beauty of the element from how it flows and then respond to it.  (She lifts her hand a little the sphere of water changing shape into the form of a koi fish made of water moving gracefully with a stream of water behind it going in-between Chazz and Hiki then back into the ocean Ski and Scoot following into the water).

Hiki: (She brings up her fingers as well and takes a small amount of water from the sphere).  Well, I would love it if you could show me on controlling water.  (She makes small lines flow around her hand).

Kairi: (Jumps more excitedly too wanting to see more of water).  Ooh I want to learn more about it too, it’s really beautiful seeing water like this.

Mizuko: (Laughs a little and nods).  I don’t mind at all teaching that ways and abilities of water.  I’m not sure if I can teach a light and dark spirit those abilities however, perhaps the movements to incorporate into your own element.

Shizen: (Raises her eyebrows in interest).  Well, Hiki can be a special case since she can use a limited amount of other elements so it could work.

Mizuko: (her eyebrows rise in interest as well towards Hiki seeing a few small streams of water flow between her fingers becoming curious).  Oh?

Hiki: (She shakes her head yes as she keeps the water now going down her arm).  Yes, I can control some elements like fire, water, earth and light and dark of course, but a set limitation on the first three.  I can only use up to a second level spell on its own, but I can combine them to make great spells or effects.  Originally, I learned on how to do this through reading a book and taking a long time practicing with Shiro whenever​ she could.  One day when my mom was at a council meeting, she took me along, but I managed to sneak off and find the library.  I really liked that library a lot thinking about it now.  Well after reading through the book it gave a brief description on how to concentrate; however, Shiro caught me but couldn’t help but laugh as she saw on how focused I was.  So here we are now.

Kura: (Smiles at Hiki).  I remember seeing similar books, but they were mostly borrowed from my aunt Chikara, and we would read together when I was little.

Mizuko: (Has a surprised look but still smiles).  I didn’t realize you had access to such rare books but being close to a council members library helps.  Especially the neutral city one Nagi and Shiro developed.  It is the largest library in this world next to that being the one in the fire spirits city.

Kura: (Smiles as she remembers the many books she had read then).  I miss that library.

Jennifer: (She and Kairi look in interest as they listen). It does sound quite interesting.

Hiki: It was a great place to read and study on things and I miss it as well. I want to visit their again.

Shizen: I unfortunately don’t think we will have time to do more then pass by the front and look but perhaps next trip.

Kairi: That’s alright it’s just there’s so much to learn about each element and there’s so many things you can do with each one’s magic, it’s amazing!

Mizuko: thank you for thinking so and as well if you want to ask about each element and the teaching and symbolism behind each one, we are happy to answer what we can.

Jennifer: It sounds like there would be a lot for each one to go over.  Just one element probably could fill a grand library each.

Hiki: (She smiles).  Oh yeah there was tons and tons of books everywhere.  (Stretches out her hands to show off).

Chazz: Well, that is very impressive that you were able to read most of it.

Tori: Though it was probably against the rules though.

Mizuko: Yes, there are sections that are band for most to see but the rest are public and mostly contain historic records and techniques as well as many stories of course.

Shizen: I’m glad Nagi and Shiro had given those books to build your knowledge. In a way they were preparing your minds to handle being of balance and of course going into your own interest.  I can imagine Tori was given a few books of seals from Nagi from how handy you are with them as well.

Tori: (He shakes his head).  Nope he just told me to do it while showing me the basics firsthand originally, no books needed, just had a good teacher.

Shizen: Ahh I remember then Shiro was the one who read books much more often.  Nagi was more get up and prove how awesome you can be type of lesson in his words then taking a nap as a reward.  Some of that rubbed off on his sons especially Kishi.

Kairi: (Giggles looking at Tori).  but it’s a really good way of looking at things though.

Jennifer: (Still has a look of curiosity still).  What about the other elements as well what kind of teaching ways do the other elements as well?

Shizen: (Grins at Jennifer).  Well for nature at least you should know my teaching style.

Jennifer: (Thinks for a second a smile forming).  Like pushing someone off a cliff in hoping they can fly?

Shizen: (Grins even more).  I’m not surprised you were told of that, but it is training by instinct thank you very much.

Tori: (He sighs as looks down).  Well regardless… I do miss Nagi… He taught me how to fight and use seals… He felt like a real parent to me and, he didn’t throw me off a cliff.

Shizen: (Smiles at Tori understandingly with a nod).  I know Tori, I miss them too. I’m also hoping you will be able to reconnect with their children as well. Maybe even give them a hand in reconnecting with each other.

Mizuko: (Nods in agreement as well looking a Hiki and Tori).  It helps heal to recall the good times with each other and not distance from one another.  It’s easier to move forward in their good memory’s and carry on being their legacy.

Tori: True… but as long as I stay true to myself as does Hiki and live our lives how we want it.  I will do just that carry on their legacy and their stories on my back because I need to pull out all the stops in order to keep up.

Hiki: (She smiles as she rests her head on Tori’s head).  Well, you’re not the only on doing that silly… We are both working on it… As we just keep going more and more just pushing through even through the dark and lonely nights or the shallow light of the sun… We will carry on wills and legacies and now help their kids along the way.

Shizen: (Smiles at both Hiki and Tori).  Just by being true to yourselves carries out their legacies and if you can help there come together and do the same once again then maybe once again have those moments like dinners that end in food fights.

Kura: (Is looking down but nods with a small smile).  It was messy with those dinners, but they were fun. I usually learned how to read with Chikara in a barrier while that was going on but I remember it mostly being either Kishi or Kuro starting those fights since they act a lot like Nagi.  Kuro always looked up to Kishi wanting to be strong and goofy like him, he got along so well with his uncle.  I hope Yami is looking up to Kishi now as well, he is a really good role model.

Chazz: (He smiles).  I’m sure he is, even though it may be under a bad environment, and with everything else going on.  I’m sure he is relying on his uncle to help keep him together until you get their Kura.  He must miss that family connection since didn’t have much of a chance to experience it in the first place. So, I’m sure they are catching up and Kishi is keeping him safe.

Kura: (Smiles more nodding at Chazz).  I know and Kishi did have a strong family bond to Kuro… I’m sure he misses him just as much as Yami and I do so I’m hoping he can build that same type of bond with Yami and take him under his wing.  Maybe I reconnect with uncle Kyoda and Chikara too since I was more under their wing when small.

Kairi: (Goes to sit next to Kura and give her a hug to cheer her up more).

Hiki: (She does the same as holds Kura).  Well, I’m sure that you will since they are still family and maybe they’re just to hard headed to realize that themselves.

Kura: (Can’t help but laugh a little looking at Hiki already feeling better just with that).  Well, it really is a hardheaded family just half of them caught the gene that makes them a goofball too.

Kairi: (Giggles a little looking up at Kura).  I think Yami has that gene too… So then does every boy dark spirit in your family act silly too?

Kura: (Smiles at Kairi too patting her head).  Yes, and Tori as well, not by blood but maybe that is part of darkness balance that it was just past down with that. Who knows being a goofball might have to be required?  (Smirks slightly at Tori).

Tori: Well… I’m pretty sure it was because I hung out with everyone most of the time so maybe I just got infected and hey doesn’t mean you aren’t one as well Kura.

Kura: (Pouts crossing her arms).  Maybe it is infectious to the boys, but I would like to think I got the girls side of my family where I simply read my book and shake my head at the boys, even if I am not a light spirit.

Tori: Well, I’m sure because you were near your brothers a lot you got some of their habits at least I know Chikara did.

Kura: (Still crosses her arms stubbornly next to Hiki).  Well then one things for sure then at least is that our team of girls always will win in the household.

Jennifer: (Can’t help but laugh listening to the conversation).  Your family sounds fun at least.  I hope we can meet all together in better circumstances once things start to settle down again.

Tori: Well, I’m sure they’re going to want to meet everyone as well even under these circumstances but maybe afterwards finally sit down and talk.

Orion: (He smirks as he still pets Spike).  Well family is always curious so it wouldn’t be surprising if your uncles and aunts sat us down even with this going on.  (He laughs).

Kura: It would be nice to have that happen afterwards.

Jennifer: I look forward to it then maybe take Yami along to look at the city once the trial is done.

Kairi: I really hope so that way he can experience new things too!

Mizuko: (Smiles seeing everyone so anxious to get to their destination already).  I am glad you are anxious but also try to be patient as well.  Sometimes these things take time, but I feel this hearing will only be a few days at most.

Orion: Knowing on how our meetings go over justice rulings it takes at least three to four days depending on the current information, so we still have time.

Kairi: will we be able to walk around the city with Yami while the trials are going on?  I don’t want him to be locked up the whole time.  (Pouts looking upset if Yami has to stay away the whole time).

Shizen: (Looks to Orion and Mizuko).  I am sure we can bring it forth to the council.  Of course, there would have to be a guard escort and some other conditions needed. We just would need to make sure a majority agrees.

Mizuko: (Smiles reassuringly at the group).  As long as the first day goes well, I believe it will.

Chazz: That’s all we can do right now Is hope till we get there so let’s enjoy the moment and keep motivation high.

Jennifer: (Nods in agreement).  Yes, besides we are not even on land yet.

Mizuko: Yes and lets us council members worry about the important talk.  (She smiles then at Hiki).  For now, to make time flow by easier maybe a few lessons in water element.  You seem most efficient with the element after all Hiki.  I’m quite impressed with how easily you moved my element if you would like to learn more.

Hiki: (She smiles as she goes closer to Mizuko).  Yes, please teach me!  I want to know as much as I can of other elements.

Mizuko: (Smiles kindly at Hiki making room for her to sit).  I am glad you are eager then and I will do what I can. Even if not water element, light and water have always been close in elements.

Kairi: (Moves closer wanting to listen in with Jennifer and Kura as well).

Rowen: (He laughs seeing the sight).  Always wanting to learn more.  Mis. Mizuko if you will be kind enough to include those three in as well since it seems they are interested.

Kairi: (Nods eagerly with a big smile).  I may not be able to control water, but it would be nice to learn what you can do with it.  It’s so pretty too.

Mizuko: (Smiles still with a nod).  Of course, I am happy to teach all I can.  I cannot teach you things like making the element flow into yourselves to become one with, but I can help you follow the current and flow and respond to it.  (Lifts her hands smoothly a stream of water flowing gently in her hands).

Orion: Well, be glad everyone, she is a very good teacher as a teacher of water.

Hiki: (She smiles) Awesome!  We can all learn together!

Mizuko: I will do my best and as for those who cannot use water at all maybe find a way to incorporate it into your element.  For some it is easier to grasps concepts of one element then another so I wouldn’t worry too much.  It just means there is another element besides your own you understand.

Jennifer: (Smiles looking at Shizen remembering something she mentioned in the earth city).  I think Shizen mentioned something like that before.

Shizen: (Grins back).  Yes, it is related to secondary or dormant energy.  It’s only a theory but energy someone cannot access completely in their current life only have an interest or draw toward.  I’m not the one who studied it and developed some of the theory’s though but I’m very close to the one who does.

Kairi: (Continues to have a big smile looking towards Tori now).  I bet Tori’s is wind then… oh but there’s light too.  (Her mind starts to go over it, making herself confused).

Orion: Well, no need to worry about it for now Kairi just focus on the lesson from Mizuko and who knows yours might be water so be excited for that alright now?  (He smiles as he pats Kairi’s head for a little bit).

Mizuko: (Nods and continues looking at Hiki pushing a stream of water closer to her).  Thank you then.  I am curious to how far you can work with water.  Is it moving streams of it with your hands only or have you gone into even freezing it?  (As her hand movements slows, the gentle flow with the water freezing under her hands the ones by her able to feel the cold of it).

Hiki: (She thinks to herself for a moment).  Hmm I can do this.  (She moves her hands around as water from the sea goes up to her hands and completely covers it and seems like a sea in a storm as it seems waves are going violently).  Well, I can make it cover my arm than make a type of flowing water yet feels like a raging tempest.

Mizuko: (Has a look of thought looking at the harsh flow).  I see… when first teaching water abilities you first learn to calm your flow and have patience.  It takes years to gain that patients like with anything so we usually start by meditation and getting in the water to let it carry and flow through and past you.  If you start to harsh then it will overwhelm you easily, try to relax and move your hands slowly as well your movements are too quick it takes a little more grace in your movements.  (Shows her own hand movements making her own water unfreeze her movements flowing gentle and gracefully with the stream).

Hiki: (She primary tried to focus on following Mizuko’s movements as she feels the water kind of calming down).

Mizuko: (Smiles reassuringly).  A very nice start, if you have experience in healing as well think of it as that train of thought.  (Puts her hands over Hiki’s to help guide the flow better a blue glow forming in the water as she does so).

Kairi: (Looks in wonder at the blue glow of the water finding it beautiful).

Hiki: (As Mizuko is helping to guide her hand she can see the waves calm and become little droplets slowly).  Wow.

Mizuko: (Smiles gently as she helps calm the water).  It just takes patients.  If you work with fire as well think of it as a opposite where fire has quick sudden movement and water is slow and flowing. Water is an element that can take any form and reflects back what it sees in you.  (She continues to guide Hiki’s hands she able to see her reflection in the water being nearly completely still).

Kura: (Watches with amazement holding her hands out but water coming to her very loosely dripping quite a lot until it all falls through her hands wishing she had looked through those books more when smaller).

Hiki: (The water begins to form into little spheres that surrounded her arms she is still amazed as it seems the lesson is mostly over).  Still amazing.

Mizuko: (Nods politely moving her hands away).  It just takes time and patience.  A good way to understand is going into the water yourself and following the currents feeling the water move around you.  It’s a simple but effective first lesson.

Kairi: (Is just as amazed then looking down at her hands attempting to do the same thing.  Nothing happens besides darkness forming around her hands giving her a disappointed expression.  She quickly wipes the emotion away try again becoming more determined to make just a little happen).

Tori: (He sighs as he pokes Kairi’s head).  No need to get emotional over it Kairi just take it at your own pace it isn’t a competition so take it at ease.

Mizuko: Just try to put the flow into your own element, you are new to this concept so don’t rush yourself.

Shizen: Plus, water may not be an element you have inside yourself so don’t be too upset.

Kairi: (Still looks at her own hands covered in darkness curiously).  Another element or a flow in darkness…?

Tori: I would say focus on darkness for now to help control your energy control.

Kairi: (Smiles brightly at Tori).  I will do my best!

Shizen: (Grins towards Kairi with a laugh).  Don’t worry Kairi you concentration and focus are quite good unlike someone else, especially when handling barriers.

Jennifer: (Frowns crossing her arms towards Shizen knowing what the someone else meant for focus).

Chazz: (He laughs a little bit being amused for the comment).  Now, now don’t need to get angry Jennifer.

Rowen: (He does as well as he looks at the map he had gotten from the city of Earth).

Jennifer: (Still pouts ducking down a little).  I’m getting better….

Shizen: (laughs as well).  Yes, you are child but it still could use some work but I will get to that after I am done with Kairi here.

Kairi: (Is concentrating on her hands still her determination still showing with a small darkness barrier formed in her hands).

Hiki: (She is doing the same with the water element making sure it flows and keeps different shapes).

Chazz: (He lays back and relaxes as he twirls around a ball of balance energy in his like he is fidgeting so it’s a way to keep himself busy and help keep his mind stable from the pressure of the current situation).

Kairi: (Continues to focus on her barrier as it strengthens in her hands.  She doesn’t pay attention to the flow much more instead the barrier surface hardening with a few small stones and pebbles on the ground near her trembling slightly not that she notices).

Orion: (He notices the pebbles first and smirks as he throws a pebble into the ocean as he says quietly).  Your always around aren’t you Sarah….

Mizuko: (Looks at what Kairi is working on pausing with a look of thought at the hardened dark barrier the style looking more in a stone form looking at Orion and back to Kairi a few times).  Hmm… Kairi I may not be the best teacher for you outside of your element.

Kairi: (Looks up at Mizuko with confusion). You’re not?

Mizuko: (Shakes her head).  Your style is very defensive with your barriers but also more similar to earth element.  Maybe it would be a better idea to be under Orion’s wing instead of mine.

Kairi: (Her confusion mixes with surprise now looking from Mizuko to Orion).  Earth element instead?

Orion: (He is hesitant at the suggestion at first but then smiles).  Yeah, it’s earth element that is reacting to your barrier.  Here I’ll show you.  (He picks up a pebble as he shows Kairi is shaking and moving slightly towards Kairi as she has small barrier up).

Kairi: (Looks amazed at the pebble letting down her barrier moving to sit next to Orion).  Whoa really earth element?  I did really like learning about all the different kinds of stones and metals though.  They all looked so unique and pretty!  (Her bright smile grows looking up at Orion).

Orion: (He smiles hugely as he laughs).  Well with me you’re going to be learning a lot more I hope you ready for that Kairi.

Kairi: (Gives a determined and eager look with a nod putting her bag on her lap to look through the shiny stones she collected in the earth city).  I’ll do my best! And maybe expand my rock collection too they really are amazing how many different kinds there are!  There really pretty in the crafts I saw too!

Jennifer: (Can’t help but laugh as well).  You can put that collection next to your collection of stuffed animals as well.

Chazz: Well, the mountain of stuffed animals shall continue on in its legacy for Kairi to bear for rest of her life.

Jennifer: I can barely see her bed at this point.

Kairi: (Giggles).  Their fun to jump into, it’s the best!  But I also want to craft things with stones even more, like when I painted on the rocks when little.  It would be nice to know all the different kinds too.

Shizen: (Grins looking at Kairi and Orion with a laugh as well).  Well, I’m sure Orion will tell you about all different types and how to use them. He is the grand master of all things earth after all.

Orion: (He gets a little embarrassed).  Well don’t have to say it like that really….

Rowen: Oh, for once you don’t want to bolster about yourself for once how impressive of you.

Orion: (He can see the smug off Rowen’s face).  Shush it you.

Shizen: (Bursts out in laughter).  Not like you at all. Usually, you brag on something like how you can crush coal into diamond in your fist.  Mizu you may be rubbing off on him.

Mizuko: (Smiles but gains a faint blush).  It’s nice to stay humble at times.

Kairi: (Looks up at Orion with a sparkle in her eyes).  You can really do that?

Orion: (He sighs).  And you just had to say it like that didn’t you Shizen.  (He says quietly).  Well in a way it is true I apply pressure to help condense the rock and bring out the gem in it.

Kairi: (Still has an amazed look up at Orion).  I wonder what other kinds of pretty stones can be found that way.  You can even sense what kind of stone it is, that’s amazing!

Jennifer: (Can’t help but laugh a little at hearing Kairi’s eagerness towards earth element).  I suppose we are lucky to have some the strongest spirits to learn from them.

Shizen: (Grins patting Jennifer’s back).  Not very often you get to learn from the grandmasters of three different elements.  Speaking of it looks like it your turn to have your lesson with me then being under my wing child.

Jennifer: (Her expression instantly changes ducking down a little with a nervous laugh).

Orion: (He laughs at the expression from Jennifer).  Now-now no need to frown like that.  You can tell me your troubles later lass. I promise to help complain as well.  (He smirks towards Shizen).

Shizen: (Pretends to act offended with a pout). You two say that like I am a bad teacher.

Jennifer: (ducks down more). … Tori had gotten to experience how your lessons go when you went cliff diving.  For once I would like to be given a little warning to how the lesson will go or at least time to prepare.

Shizen: (Puts her hands on her hips still with a pout).  That’s no way to build up your instincts.

Mizuko: (Has a look of sympathy for Jennifer knowing how Shizen can be at times).

Tori: (He shakes at the thought of training under Shizen again).  I rather train on my own as well, I rather not relive that again.

Rowen: Well to be frank Shizen you are very aggressive when it comes to training so it’s understandable of their reactions.

Shizen: (Sighs but smiles keeping her confident posture).  You are right my methods may not be for everyone, but I have always seen people’s survival instincts kick in when pushed so I use that in my teaching.  Nature is the element of instinct after all.

Jennifer: (Looks up at Shizen but begins to smile at what she has).  You have a point it’s just a bit intimidating at first.

Shizen: (Grins at Jennifer patting her head).  It may be but your instincts are very good even for a nature element so I know each time the lesson will come through little by little.

Jennifer: (Her smiles grows towards Shizen with a nod).  Thank you Shizen I guess I can handle the lessons a little better then.

Shizen: I’m glad they aren’t too hard to handle then.  Since you agree to some practice now how about that training in focus and control then.

Jennifer: (Her smile becomes a little more sheepish but nods).  I was afraid it would be that… But alright.

Chazz: (He goes by Jennifer).  Maybe I could help out as well since I need to practice what I can if possible.

Hiki: (She has been contrasting this whole time but once she hears that she loses focus on the smoothness of the water spheres, and they become waves before regaining their composure for a second).

Shizen: Well, I had in mind training with barriers or animal shifting barriers on others since it takes the most focus and control as a exorcise.

Jennifer: (Sighs).  I was hoping it wasn’t that, it gives to much of a headache.

Kairi: (Looses focus of looking at stones with Orion looking over to Jennifer and Shizen).  Ooh the animal shift thing?

Chazz: Oh, I wouldn’t be much help unless it was with barriers, but I’ll do my best to help out.

Shizen: I would be nice to have a volunteer, we don’t want the child to continue passing out every attempt.

Jennifer: (Pauses as she remembers the last time).  … That explains the dizzy feeling last time.

Shizen: It will be fine child it gets easier to learn control the more you practice.  Just never try it on another first-generation spirit of another element. Even that leaves me out of it for a few days.

Kairi: (She still has a sparkle in her eyes with a giggle).  Chazz turned into a tiger though, it was the best!

Shizen: (Nods then looking to Rowen with a smirk).  And Rowen makes a very handsome wolf if I might add.

Chazz: (He and Rowen both sigh).  Don’t transform us just because you want to have a good show here Shizen.

Shizen: It is a very difficult ability in my defense and once child is able to control it she will find her other abilities more easily.  Even now after a few attempts her other abilities seem to have improved much more quickly.

Jennifer: (Sighs as well shaking her head).  Really?….  Still is rude to do to someone without asking….

Orion: I don’t think that’s ever stopped her before though.  (He shrugs as he knows firsthand on how Shizen used to do that to him constantly).

Shizen: (can’t help but laugh and agree).  True though trying that on you or Mizu never ends well unfortunately.  Always feels like the worse hangover honestly.

Kairi: (Tilts her head in confusion). Why can’t you use that on Orion and Mizuko?

Shizen: Because like every first-generation spirit they are purely that one element.  It’s much harder to cast and leaves me out of it for day.  With others it plays off the energy they have better though I can’t control things like the specific species fur and eye color the person takes form of that is based on the persons energy and physical traits.

Jennifer: (Goes over in her mind what Shizen is saying carefully).  So, it’s something I can fully control the outcome of its up to the other persons appearance and energy?

Shizen: (nods) yes you can control the type of species to an extent though like a large dog, it’s just up to the others energy what type of dog they become.

Kairi: (Looks amazed listening in).  That’s why Chazz had black and white stripes when he was a tiger.  He turned into a giant balance kitty!

Chazz: (he gets slightly embarrassed) well… Well, I hope I looked ok at least….

Kairi: (Giggles with a big smile).  You were a giant cuddly kitty it was so cute!  It makes me wonder what kind of animals’ other people would be too!

Jennifer: (Can’t help but laugh a little). I wish I saw it I just remember thinking of cats and blacking out….

Shizen: (Smiles with a hand on Jennifer’s shoulder). Always the option to try again.

Kairi: (Looks at her sister hopefully wanting to volunteer now).  Can I go next, I want to know what kind of bunny I would be!

Jennifer: (Smiles at Kairi).  Well either way… I can give it a try but I’m not as good at it, yet it seems random where it goes still.

Shizen: It all depends on how much focus you put in though your mind does tend to wonder. 

Jennifer: (Sighs knowing Shizen right).  I know… I’ll try again though.

Rowen: Well, being focused was never one of your strong suits madam.  However, I think working with Shizen has helped a lot so I’m happy to see how your progressive to keep becoming better.

Shizen:  I see you focus most when practicing your archery skills so try applying that feeling.  I have seen your focus increase greatly especially when times its needed and that’s the moments it matters most. 

Jennifer: (Smiles at Shizen and Rowen feeling better about her progress).  Thank you I feel better hearing that.

Hiki: (Mizuko is giving her a break she smiles at Jennifer as she makes a smile out of the water bubble).  You’re doing great Jenny!  I won’t fall behind though!

Jennifer: (Smiles at Hiki with her encouragement).  Thank you Hiki but I honestly thought I was the one behind in this, you’re amazing Hiki.

Kura: (Looks at Hiki and can’t help but nod in agreement about her with a smile but barely noticeable blush).

Hiki: (She shakes her head).  Maybe in a way but you beat me at another one.

Jennifer: (Tilts her head in confusion not sure of what Hiki means).

Shizen: (Places a hand on Jennifer’s shoulder).  Why don’t you try your own techniques now?  I am sure you will have plenty of volunteers to work with your new ability on and gain concentration and focus.

Jennifer: (Looks up at Shizen with a nod and a more determined look). Right!

Tori: (He sighs).  And she’s just as obvious as this guy.  (He says​quietly as he points to Chazz as Kura hears him).

Kura: (Sighs as well and nods in agreement).  Yes but a few others can be a little clueless as well….  (Looks from Jennifer to Hiki but Tori notices a small yet slightly sad smile towards Hiki that’s quickly wiped away looking at her).

Tori: (He sighs).  Well, that was just a cruel turn of fate, but she probably has a feeling on how you feel but isn’t saying anything because she doesn’t want to make things awkward.  Hiki is very sharp when it comes to feelings.

Kura: (Looks down with a smile).  Perhaps but I believe I like how things are now.  I just want her to have a person she smiles most with like how you respond to Kairi.  (Smiles more towards Tori with a small laugh).

Tori: (He is taken off guard slightly but then regain composure).  Yes, yes, your majesty who sees all.

Kura: (Smirks at Tori’s reaction).  You notice a lot when in the background watching and it’s not like Kairi keeps her feelings hidden at all.  (Nudges Tori with a laugh looking back to the others seeing Jennifer already trying to concentrate in a meditative state as Orion shows Kairi a few different stones).

Tori: Yes, yes, I know the feeling well and yeah, your right… If she’s upset you see it… If she’s happy you see it… If she’s in love… It’s as clear as the sun… Yet, I’m glad everyone is trying their hardest… We all need too.

Kura: (Nods in agreement).  I understand… and I hope it’s enough.  (Continues to watch seeing Kairi learning from Orion and Jennifer struggle to perform her ability).

Jennifer: (Is making progress but going into a meditative state concentrating on her energy).

Mizuko: (Watches Jennifer with interest but notices something about her techniques).  Hmm… Shizen if I am put in a comment, did she say where she was directing the ability?

Shizen: (Has her hand to her chin in thought looking at Jennifer feeling a large amount of energy gather inside her listening to what Mizuko said).  … Hmm….  (Others notice her then scoot away from Jennifer a little).

Orion: (He takes a break from Kairi).  What do you mean Mizu?  Didn’t she have an idea already?

Mizuko: I was just concerned since she never gave a clear answer where she was directing her energy.

Shizen: (Moves away a little more with a small laugh).  She never was good at honing energy and then directing it in focus exercises… It makes it a little unpredictable where it goes… hmm.

Kura: (Senses a hint of nervousness in Shizen’s voice scooting back a little as well).

Chazz: Well should we try and help her pick a direction or should we just let it be for now?

Tori: I don’t think telling her will change anything since it mostly relies on her own abilities.

Kairi: Will sis be o-.  (As they are discussing this, they here Jennifer make a sound similar to a sneeze feeling force out of her with a green glow but also a wind from the force of energy knocking a few of them over with complete surprise).

Rowen: Well, that is quite unexpected… Never thought she has that much energy stored up… We should resolve this situation as soon as possible.

Shizen: (Catches Jennifer quickly seeing she’s gone dizzy helping support her and check her condition).  She’s improved the gather of energy better at least and not completely passed out this time.

Jennifer: (Is completely out of it though not unconscious a little blood coming from her nose).  World… Spinning….

Kura: (Sits up checking her body for anything odd). I think it didn’t hit me is everyone else alright?  (Looks around not noticing anything out of place yet double checking herself again).

Orion: Yeah, it doesn’t feel like anything is really that different unlike the other ways it has.  (Doesn’t notice the actual changes just yet).

Mizuko: She would be very I’ll if she were to try with either of us so perhaps someone else or a possible miss.

Kura: (Starts looking around at the others first at Tori noticing small wings remembering his power then at Chazz and Hiki).  What about you two, do you feel anything different?

Hiki: (She looks at Chazz and smiles a lot not saying anything but shaking her head no).

Chazz: Hmm it doesn’t feel like anything.  (Has his eyes closed).

Shizen: (Pauses to look at everyone putting her hand to her chin again finding a few things off looking at Rowen last with a smirk).  Hmm….

Mizuko: (Puts a hand over her mouth looking at some of the group with a small gasp particularly at Chazz and Rowen).  Oh my….

Rowen: (He looks confused as he looks around as does Chazz).  What is it?  (As he moves his head its visible the two have animal ears one from a wolf on Rowen than a panda on Chazz)

Kura: (Looks at the two with animal ears).  Interesting….

Shizen: (Her smirk grows towards Rowen).  Well quite interesting ears both of you have there.

Rowen: (He tilts his head still but then begins to feel up his ears wondering what is going on).  Oh… I see what the commotion is about….

Shizen: (Slides over to sit beside Rowen putting a arm around him).  You just cannot stay away from wolves can you.  (Grins giving one of the ears a kiss scratching behind the other a little as well).

Chazz: (He sees Rowen become uncomfortable from the situation as he rubs his own ears).  Why did I get panda ears though…?

Kura: (Looks at the ears in thought).  Perhaps because the panda has black and white fur for balance?

Hiki: (She can’t bring herself ​to speak Because of the pure adorableness and just holds Chazz as she says repeatedly).  So cute… So cute!

Kura: (Watches Hiki rush to the other side to hug Chazz having to take another look behind her seeing on her behind a big fluffy pure white fox tail with a black tip tilting her head unintentionally staring in surprise).  Huh….

Orion: Well, I guess they weren’t the only two affected but she’ll find out on her own in a bit once she’s done obsessing over Chazz.  (He says with a smirk).

Kura: (Can’t help but laugh looking away quickly with a faint blush).  Certainly interesting….  (Tries to avoid looking directly at Hiki again distracting herself seeing something weird with Tori’s hair cautiously. She plucks a white feather from his hair holding it out Tori feeling like a few hairs were pulled not noticing it before).  Quite a handful of us affected then….

Tori: (He sighs).  Well probably because Chazz got affected that it would affect Hiki and I as well.

Hiki: (After being done with petting Chazz she finally realizes that she a fox tail behind her popping up through her skirt).  Wow this tail is so fluffy!  Though… This is a very embarrassing spot for it… But still so cute!

Kura: (Laughs seeing Hiki has finally notice).  It suits you quite well Hiki.

Kairi: (Is heard on the other side of Orion but seems to have disappeared from sight).  Wow everyone got animal parts then, so lucky!

Orion: (He looks around for Kairi hearing a slightly higher voice come out of her prompting him to believe something is wrong… He can’t find her anywhere the more he looks).

Kura: (Starts to look around with the others her concern starting to form).

They start to look around none of them seeing her though Shizen getting some ideas.  Orion is the first to notice a very cute small rabbit to his side near his hand on the bench and the stones he was showing Kairi. It is a Holland lop rabbit with droopy ears and black with a little brown fluffy fur with a twitching nose.

Orion: (He is shocked at first and loses what words he should say).  K… Kairi?

Kairi: (The rabbit turns her head up to Orion with a cute nose twitch her voice coming from the lop-eared rabbit). Yes?

Shizen: (Leans over to try and get a good look her eyebrows raising instantly).

Mizuko: (Still has a hand over her mouth trying to get a look as well).

Kura: (Has the same reaction sitting next to Tori being completely speechless).

Orion: umm.  (He doesn’t know to fully respond as he is just looking at Kairi right now being a bunny yet also being surprised the effect had a small delay on activating).  Kairi… Do you know what you are right now?

Kairi: (Tilts her head with confusion).  What do you mean and why does everything look bigger, did something happen?

Mizuko: (Starts to gather water into her hands freezing it in a flat and reflective way waiting for the right time to float it over).

Orion: Well, take a look here….  (Brings up the ice mirror to Kairi to show her what he means).

Kairi: (Tilts her head confused and cutely until she looks into the mirror stopping instantly looking into it).  daw a cute little bunny can I hold it!

Kura: (Laughs a little seeing Kairi run into the mirror having trouble putting words together to explain).

Kairi: (continues trying to reach out her mind finally starting to connect the dots looking into the mirror instantly freezing even the little nose twitch stopping seeming in complete shock).

Tori: (He sighs).  Well here let me prove that it’s you Kairi….  (He pets her head as the view of the petting is reflected).

Kairi: (Still is frozen still for a moment as Tori pets her.  She finally is processing what is happening more and all she is able to do is make a high pitch girly squeal as if a dream had come true part sounding like a squeak.  She right after without a word flops to her side seeming to have passed out from excitement).

Tori: umm I think it was too much for her so we should focus on changing her back before she wakes up.

Kura: (Pokes Kairi a little).  It’s like she just witnessed her greatest dreams become true….

Shizen: (Nods in agreement).  I am quite impressed with such a large range of the energy from the child though.  Even for me an energy use this strong leaves me with a headache.  (Looks down at Jennifer with her head in her lap still seeming very dizzy and out of it with a little blood from her nose. She pets her head and sighs).  Yes, certainly overdid it again….

Chazz: It isn’t the first time she has overdone things as you probably know even before knowing her power, she was always just stubborn.

Hiki: Well, I remember one time she would just play around under trees as the leaves fell. She would just play and play until she just knocks out in the pile of leaves. (She laughs) but that’s just one example.

Shizen: (She can’t help but smile looking down at her and petting her hair).  Yes, she may become distracted at times, but she is also stubborn.  Her focus still could use some work outside of intense situations but as for her ability to gather and learn her energy so quickly I couldn’t be prouder….

Rowen: As you should be Shizen… You have helped her grow into what she is today… So, you should be proud.

Shizen: (Grins and nods in agreement).  The same could be said for you to her… She may overdue things at times, but the result is quite remarkable….

Mizuko: (Smiles at the group and nods).  Perhaps now is a good time to rest after such a well-executed practice I am sure the energy will wear off soon as well.  (Swirls some water into her hand as the animals go over to them more Silver pecking curiously at the white feathers in Tori’s hair with Kairi snuggling up to him and Owlet doing the same to Hiki’s fox tail).

Rowen: Well, I only did what I had to give the girls a father’s view when theirs wouldn’t.  (He grits his teeth).

Shizen: (Smiles at Rowen placing a hand on his shoulder).  I know your feelings on that, and I see how you care for the child just like Orion sees Kairi.  I think you being there has helped inspire and fill that role for both of you.  (Kisses Rowen’s cheek as Jennifer is resting with her head on Shizen’s lap).

Rowen: Maybe… But regardless I am glad to see the two of them grow alongside Chazz….  (He is smiling).  Well, it looks I had kids before I realized it.

Shizen: (Smiles at Rowen more).  It may not be by blood, but the bond is still there.  That is something that is formed regardless, it’s something you can’t help feeling the more you see them grow.

Mizuko: (Smiles at the group saying more to herself).  There will always be bonds that exceeds lifetimes to reunite and help heal the wounds in our hearts.

Orion: (He smiles as he watches bunny Kairi).  Yeah… Some bonds don’t really change even with different people something always feel like the same.

Shizen: (Nods in agreement her smile calmer and kinder to the words petting Jennifer’s head and tightening her hand on Rowen’s hand).

Mizuko: (Makes the water near her form into a harp seeming to shine like Silver and ice in wave like flowing style).  Perhaps take a little break then. We will have much to do later on.

Kura: (Looks at the harp tilting her head a little).  You play the harp then.

Mizuko: (nods).  Yes, it seems to have a calming effect on people.  Where others have weapons to help amplify their element, I simply have an instrument.

Kura: (Looks at everyone else).  It makes sense then to have that calming effect before we see land… Thank you then.

Mizuko: (Bows slightly as she sits).  It’s not a problem at all, I enjoy playing in a calm time like this.

Hiki: (She looks towards Mizu).  Can I play as well?  Can I play the violin?  (She makes a light remake of the violin she used to play with Chazz to help keep herself and Chazz calm).

Mizuko: (Her smile becomes more surprised but nods again).  Of course, I’m glad to see another musician.  Though music is very encouraged in both water and light.  I believe light is more classical style.

Kura: (Looks at Hiki with a very surprised expression).  I didn’t know you played a violin.

Hiki: I do… Just not as often nowadays since the last time I did play was before everything happened with Jennifer… I started to learn from Shiro when I younger since she encouraged, I do something to help keep my mind… off everything between me and my mom… I would go to my little hideout in the backyard of our house… and just play… I’m pretty sure she knew I was playing as well… but I think she was proud of me in her own way since she would comment… “I have heard such grand music nearby I really want to meet the musician.”  Things like that gave me motivation.  So when I became contracted to Chazz.  (She smiles at him as he blushes as it’s the first time in a while since she has said his name).  I would play to help relax after a long day.  I’m happy I got to learn… For many other reasons.

Kura: (Pauses listening to Hiki).  It’s something very important to you then… I would like to hear you play then.  Maybe hear a little more later.

Mizuko: If you would like I can do a melody for you to play along with.  It’s been quite a while since I had heard a light spirits violin.  (Her hands already glide across the strings of her hand-held harp skillfully with a gentle sound coming out of it.  The ocean waves seeming to calm and follow the melody feeling the energy from every note).

Hiki: (She shakes her to Kura as she starts to play as little light sprites start to flow on top of the waves and the around group as though they are small fairies dancing alongside the melody).

Kura: (Leans back a little being fascinated by the sound and look of the water).

Mizuko: (Has a impressed look to Hiki’s playing sighing and closing her eyes letting her hands continue to glide over the harp strings easily).

Shizen: (Has a calm smile still listening to the melody).  Very fascinating and impressive indeed….

 

They continue to play the waves calm as everyone recovers from the energy Kairi even waking up to her normal self to listen to the beautiful melody.  Hiki plays until her fingers tire the lights on the calm water fading so she can rest her head on Chazz’s shoulder.  Mizuko continues to play on well into the morning being completely absorbed into the song that plays to the waters waves.  everyone listens even the animals Silver flying into the wind a few times with some practice coming from Owlet trying to learn from Silver.  Kairi watches the animals as she listens getting the urge to do something creative in the process taking out her sketch pad Kura got her as a gift looking out onto the water as she draws.

Jennifer: (Sits next to Kairi her headache having faded more from her use of energy wanting to know what her sister is up to).  You seem to be enjoying yourself, what are you up to.

Kairi: (Smiles up at Jennifer).  I wanted to use my sketch bad more often and I thought I could draw what I saw on our adventures.  Like a picture journal.

Jennifer: (Gets a surprised expression).  this is the first I heard of this.

Kairi: (Her smile grows).  Well ever since Kura got me this sketch pad, I got the idea to put all the adventures we had and will have in here.

Jennifer: (Her smile comes back seeing how excited Kairi is at the idea).  Well promise to show me you’re drawing when done alright?  You always did have liked creative things like that.

Kairi: (Nods determinedly and enthusiastically).  I promise and I have gotten a lot better to I just need to practice more.

Jennifer: (Can’t help but laugh and pat Kairi’s head).  I’m sure it looks great Kairi and I look forward to it.

Kairi: (Giggles as her sister lets her go back to work on her sketches.  She focuses on them with a smile remembering all that’s happened so far.  Every so often she looks at the ocean as well noticing something in the distance jumping out of the water seeming to be giant even though so far away).

Mizuko: (Notices that Kairi has taken notice having noticed by feeling the waters current change.  She moves over a little to Kairi while still playing pointing at the far away long creature with blue fins).  I see you spotted a water dragon.

Kairi: (Tilts her head up at Mizuko then back at the dragon jumping and swimming through the water).  Really a water dragon…?  It looks so giant even from so far away….

Mizuko: (Smiles kindly down at Kairi).  Yes, it is, they help direct the current in the ocean since they are the largest creature in this ocean.  Your quite lucky to see one jump up, it’s a symbol of change and wisdom as well as a sense of peace as well.

Kairi: (Seems even more amazed seeing the water dragon go back under the water from its jump).  Really?

Mizuko: (Simply nods and goes back to playing her harp calmly).

Kairi: (Looks at the ocean once more being in wonder as well as being even more motivation to be creative going back to sketching in her note pad.  Owlet seems to have practiced his wings more as well Hiki suddenly seeing him stay in the air from the long side of the platform to the other on her shoulder as Silver glides up above with ease).

Tori: (He smiles from seeing Mizuko and Kairi talking he looks around at the ocean but then sees something off in the ocean).  Whoa… I think we are hitting land soon, aren’t we?  Silver get a view real quick if you can Alright?  (Tori gets a caw from above in response seeing the far-off land mass).

Kairi: (Quickly gets up to go beside Tori wanting to get a better look excitedly).  Really you see land!

Jennifer: (Looks over being curious as wellbeing thankful to see land finally).

Kura: (Looks up at Silver hearing the caw going over as well looking at the ocean and Tori).  You know you could just fly up and check since you’re the one with wings here.

Tori: Well, I would but I don’t feel like trying to land again so I’ll leave it to the expert.  (Says as he pouts a little).

Kura: (Narrows her eyes at Tori pulling on his ear slightly).  Your just being lazy wanting to nap instead and if you were really having trouble landing which I haven’t seen you would be practicing like another certain bird here.  (As Owlet is flying from one end of the platform to the other looking like a big leap but still very improved though very clumsy on the landing having to flap frantically on Hiki’s shoulder to regain his balance hitting Hiki with his wings a few time Hiki having to catch him a few of the previous times).

Tori: Well… It isn’t like you can prove that or anything Kura… Rude… Can do it if I want to just not right now.  (He blushes but sits down).

Hiki: (She smiles from the discussion).  Now, now no need to get all fired up over it Tori calm down and Kura it seemed a little mean.

Kura: (Lets go of Tori’s ear hearing Hiki with a sigh and pout crossing her arms).  Fine… I apologize then.

Kairi: (Uses her hand to shield her eyes from the sun to try getting a better look at the land).  Wow I see it!  I really see land there!

Shizen: (Sits up having relaxed against Rowen stretching her arms out).  About time we’ve seen land then.

Rowen: (He does the same as Shizen keeps resting on him).  Well, that’s true but I was enjoying the little trip we were having and this little time together.

Jennifer: It’s really has been quite amazing to this point experiencing some of earth and water’s culture as well.  Thank you very much.

Mizuko: (Bows politely in her seat).  I was very happy plus you are guests passing through my territory so it was the least I could do.

Shizen: (Grins at Orion still seeming to relax leaning back with arms crossed and Spike’s head on his lap).  I’m sure someone here misses dry land just a bit. It will be nice to have feet on land again.

Orion: (He smirks as he lays back).  Nah, I’ve actually gotten the hang​ of being in a boat like this.  Might do this again sometime if you wouldn’t mind Mizu.

Mizuko: (Smiles politely and nods).  Not at all I welcome my little brother and sister any time though this is not exactly a boat.  (Looks over to the head of Sally, the sea turtle they are on with Rocky on top of her head still).

Orion: oh, oh my apologies about that but yes would have a ride like this again.  (He laughs as he looks towards land).

Jennifer: (Laughs hearing the conversation but also a questioning look to some things looking between them).  I still can’t get past Mizuko being the older sister pardon me saying. Orion seems like an older brother how he seems around Shizen and Mizuko.  Mizuko looks so young as well.

Mizuko: (Can’t help but gain a small blush at the statement).  I suppose staying hydrated helps that though I thank you.  Plus, it’s not very much at all that I am oldest by to Orion.  Technically Shizen is quite a bit younger than us.

Shizen: (Bursts into laughter patting Jennifer’s back).  No need to sugar coat it Mizuko always has looked young for her age and Orion is a big hairy giant of strength so of course he gets in the habit of being protective.  Meanwhile my age just shows through my grey hair not that I have minded even with being quite younger.  The grey hair suits me quite well in fact.  (Flips her long grey hair with a grin some of it draping over Rowen’s shoulder still leaning against him).

Rowen: (He laughs as holds Shizen’s hand).  Now, now don’t let your ego get better of you… But to be honest it is quite beautiful hair if I might add.

Shizen: hmm I will consider though it is hard to when such compliments are given out.  (Kisses Rowen’s cheek as a thank you).

Mizuko: (Can’t help but laugh a little though covers her mouth being a bit more proper and conservative about Shizen’s comments).

Orion: Well, it’s been a while since we heard you laugh like that… Hmm it’s very nice to hear it again and don’t need to be conservative.

Mizuko: (Is taken off guard getting a light blush she tries to hide).  Oh umm… It’s just how I am really; you should know that.  I was just taken a little off guard just now is all….

Shizen: (Bursts into laughter hearing Mizuko).  It is how it always has been, Mizuko expressing too little and a quiet shyness then I expressing a little too much with how blunt I can be.

Mizuko: (Still blushes and nods with a small smile).  I suppose you are right… But it is just how we are.  Being a council member though I cannot really afford to stay shy though.

Shizen: (Smiles more genuinely).  Well, there are times to become more serious, so you have a point but it’s still in your character just like that kind compassion you have.

Mizuko: (Sighs and nods staring at her hands folding them on her lap continuing to blush).  I suppose you are right.

Orion: Well to be fair, I’m more of the laid-back ones when it comes to the council member stuff though it’s nice since I need to voice my own opinion anyway.  (He lays back).

Shizen: (Grins nudging Orion).  It’s what made you such great friends with Nagi.

Mizuko: (Smiles and nods).  And I such great friends with Shiro in those days.

Shizen: That is true you always did trade healing secrets back in that day while Orion and Nagi compared strength or napped along with a few of his sons… Right after the meeting.  (Laughs slightly at the memories).

Mizuko: … I remember Shiro’s lectures about doing that after meetings… Chikara seemed to follow her like a mini Shiro too, it was very cute.

Kura: (Can’t help but smile as she listens in enjoying the stories they have of her grandparents).

Orion: hey, hey Nagi knew on how to appreciate a good nap so being able to understand the fine art of napping was very rewarding on the days I spent with him.

Tori: (He does the same as Kura as he just listens and smiles).

Mizuko: I don’t think was appropriate to nap while at the gathering though. 

Shizen: (Laughs more).  It was quite funny seeing Shiro catch you guys and her sons napping, Nagi seemed to be able to calm her down quickly though.

Mizuko: (Has more of a frown looking at Shizen).  I believe some of those lectures were for you as well how you teased her husband.

Shizen: (Her laugh becomes more nervous with a small blush waving it away a little).  Oh, come on now I never went that far only teasing about a very old crush.  I wasn’t too serious in those things since he had a true mate already after all.  The naps were nice to join with you boys though.

Tori: Oh, was it teasing?  Because I remember you being seen by Shiro as you got close-.  (He is caught off by Orion).

Orion: Now, now son… No need to get into that area of discussion in front of everyone….  (He has a cold sweat with a nervous smile).  Alright let’s move on then.

Shizen: (Has a nervous smile and laugh as well, it being towards Rowen about hearing all this having some regrets about it).  Yes… please move on.

Mizuko: (Smiles at Shizen understanding why she is so nervous).  I think it was more acting out, out of need for companionship after being hurt really. They understood I think of that you just didn’t know where to look so you put your wants of a relationship towards theirs since it was such a great one.  Wanting that same feeling of having your true mate felt like even if it was the wrong way of going about figuring out what it was.

Shizen: (Is taken by surprise by Mizuko completely but sighs). You really can’t help but reflect the deeper emotions can you Mizu….

Mizuko: (Shakes her head seeming to not help her reflections sometimes getting a blush).  I’m sorry it just comes out sometimes….

Rowen: (He sighs as it’s obvious that Shizen got nervous from it as she looks towards him).  Now, I will say that’s it’s a bit unsettling in a way.  however, I know you aren’t like that now… So as long as you can still be by my side, I will look past everything because the moments I have right now… I wouldn’t change them for anything… Especially the ones I have with you.  (He smiles as Shizen sees the love and care in words and eyes).

Shizen: (Is taken a back from Rowen’s words being a bit speechless from them with a few daws heard from some of the girls near them.  It takes her a moment to collect herself and blush a bit heavily but still smile with the same feelings in return moving her hand over his slowly on the bench to hold it).  Thank you, Rowen… And thank you for being patient with me about saying some things in my past.  As long as you patient with me just a little more I promise to tell you all I can.  I acted out back then because of my lack of understanding of what having a true mate feels like but now… I think I am finally understanding what that is….

Mizuko: (Can’t help but nudge Orion slightly with a smile looking at Shizen and Rowen). You have very good choices in contracts Orion.  Nagi and Shiro were right as well about having a good feeling about giving him a permanent contract to you.

Orion: Yeah, at first I couldn’t get near him without getting annoyed but now….  (He smirks with a smile).  I’m glad I did… He helped people grow… While also growing on his own.

Mizuko: They probably saw that potential in him… And most of all both Rowen and Shizen seem to balance each other out… I’m glad to see our little sister so happy as well.  Maybe this is the “true mate” in her words she always searched for.

Orion: Possibly… But regardless I know he’ll make her happy because he has lost just as much as her in a different way… But I’m happy he can smile easily again.

Mizuko: (Nods with a small smile).  I’m happy as well….  (She sighs looking forward to the approaching land watching with everyone else as they go to get a better look).

Jennifer: (Gets a closer look at the coast starting to see a large city on the horizon).  It looks like there is a city on the coast. I take it that’s where we will be porting?

Kairi: It looks so giant!

Shizen: (Looks over to the city while sitting with Rowen still).  Yes, that is the Neutral city in-between the light and dark territories.  It was created for all spirits to come together no matter the element.

Jennifer: (Looks down the coast noticing far off in each side the sky is darker on one side slightly and the other slightly lighter though it is very hard to tell).  I see… I city for spirits to join together.

Chazz: (He takes great interest in the look of the city as well).  Wow… It is very great to see right now….

Mizuko: Nagi and Shiro wanted this city to be made to try and bring their light and dark element more as well as any other element type that did not bond well.  It was successful for some, but the city mostly split into different sections for each element.

Shizen: Its natural though for spirits of the same energy to band together though so I don’t blame them since spirits are used to living in certain habitats and don’t prefer others.  I guess it was wished that light and dark didn’t live on completely opposite sides and got along better over time.

Hiki: Yes, the city is quite vast though from the Outlook it has right now.  There are multiple underground sections of the city as well that were prepared from the earth element citizens.

Orion: (He laughs).  Yeah, Nagi wouldn’t get off my back about that because of the smaller size so had to accommodate everyone.

Kairi: It sounds amazing and since there’s a lot of light and dark spirit maybe we can give something to Yami like food.  I bet he’s hungry!

Kura: (Can’t help but laugh a little).  I am sure uncle Kishi is feeding him… Though regardless he eats like he’s a bottomless pit so you’re not wrong.

Tori: Knowing on how Kishi is, I’m sure that he is doing everything he can to make sure Yami is safe.

Shizen: We will discuss Yami being released under surveillance this afternoon tomorrow.  That way we will be able to guard him with Kishi much easier and Yami does not have to be locked away as the trials go on.

Kairi: We should at least give him a care package until then! And the aunt and uncle too as a thank you!

Jennifer: (Laughs patting Kairi’s head). I’m sure we will find something on the way.

Kairi: (Is a already starting to think of what to bring them).  What is light spirit food like?

Mizuko: (Laughs a little).  You are very interested in food I see, though it is one of the best ways to learn a culture.  (Starts to ponder how to describe it).  Light spirit cuisine is very similar to French in your world.  Very fancy and many upscale places as well as bakeries.  They tend to put a lot of detail into the look of their food, especially baked goods, and desserts.  (Looks to Hiki to add on if she had missed anything).

Hiki: Let me think for a moment… Hmm well it’s basically on how you said it really though light spirits do take care in cooking the food as there are multiple steps usually.  It always depends on the persons taste since there are many sections of the food group.  When I was younger, I would also go to a bakery near the library and get something there.  I knew the owner of the bakery so she would give me a cookie or a brownie and some other pastries that were delicious.

Kairi: (Smiles brightly at Hiki).  While were here we need to stop then! You can show us your favorite spots!

Jennifer: (Smiles and nods to Hiki).  I would be nice to learn more of you by going to places that you loved or had good memories when younger.

Hiki: Well, when we arrive than I will be the tour guide than Tori can do the other half.  (She smiles at Tori).

Tori: Yeah, I’ll be happy to sit alongside Kura as we make our way to the main capital in the city.

Kairi: (Tilts her heads to the side looking at Tori and Kura).  What is dark spirit food like too?

Kura: (Looks up in thought of the best way to sum it up).  It’s simple and less about look just a simple taste good type.  Like burgers, milkshakes, and hotdog type.  (Looks to Tori not sure how else she is supposed to describe it).

Tori: (he shrugs as he thinks).  Well as Kura put it’s all there is to it really.  Our food is centered around comfort food as it just the type of food that is variety enough that’s there always different versions of the same item.  Not every food item is the same.

Kairi: (Has a look of interest tilting her head to the side).  Oh really, wow I don’t think I ever had a burger.  It’s like a sandwich, right?

Kura: (Looks baffled at the statement having to pause in complete surprise).  You… Never had a burger?

Jennifer: (Nods with her sister).  We were always told by our father whenever he was around when little it was food for commoners, and we shouldn’t have it.

Kairi: (Nods in agreement remembering it as well).  I wanted to try things like that though.

Tori: (He has a stern look as he looks at Kura than Mizuko).  Do you mind if we port at the dark city first.  I must change this fact as this has become urgent.

Mizuko: (Nods slightly).  It will have to be a stop on the way and must eat on the way or when get there if anything.

Kura: I’m sure we will find one on the way.  I’m sure Yami missed that type of food for a while now.  Nagi always took us out to get those types a snacks when he could so he probably hasn’t had something like that fully since then…  Wonder how he will react to having those once again.  (Smiles and laughs a little at the thought already getting an idea).

Tori: yeah… I’ll make sure he gets some as a celebration and yeah… Nagi would always take us out to eat whenever Shiro was tired, so it was a nice change of pace sometimes to experience the different foods more often.

Jennifer: Its sounds like a great experience and with a city like this I’m sure there are different cultures to experience in every section.

Kairi: That means there are nature, earth, and water sections as well.

Shizen: (Nods in response).  Yes, water and earth are on one side of the light and dark sections with nature in-between the earth and water since combining them causes nature to grow.

Orion: As well as fire though they are much nicer than the real city but overall, the city is nice.

Shizen: I agree as well as them being beside wind which is more Greek… I would watch the fire food… It can be quite spicy with their Indian curry….  (Seems to shake her head more to the spicy part).

Jennifer: (Nods in understanding to Shizen).  I don’t blame you I don’t do well with spice either… A bit of a wimp to it as well.  (Laughs a little).

Shizen: (crosses her arms stubbornly).  Now I never said I was weak to spicy food as well child.

Mizuko: (Covers her mouth as she laughs knowing the opposite full well).

Orion: (he shakes his head as well as he knows on how weak she is to spice) well maybe we can put that to the test when we port than Shizen.

Shizen: (Gets a nervous laugh but still tries to keep her stubborn front).  Now I don’t think we will have time since it is so out of the way.

Jennifer: (Smirks since even she can tell that is an excuse).  Whatever you say Shizen but it’s a test I wouldn’t mind seeing.

Shizen: (Nervously laughs again trying to wave past the subject).  How about moving to other questions. Spicy food is not as interesting as it seems.

Kairi: (Starts to think looking from Orion, Mizuko to Shizen coming up with a question that pops up to her hand).  Oh, I have one more question.  I was thinking of the thing from before where earth and water makes nature, is that true.

Mizuko: (Looks from Kairi to Orion and Shizen not sure where this sudden question is coming from Shizen getting the same expression). Why yes that is true.

Shizen: Most wildlife and especially plants need those two things to survive and grow so you are right.

Rowen: Well, it’s True on that premise but where is this coming from out of nowhere​miss Kairi?  (He looks just as confused as Orion).

Kairi: (Tilts her head to the side questioningly).  So, does that mean That makes Shizen their daughter and Orion and Mizu her parents?

Shizen: (Raises her eyebrows in surprise to the question).  Well, it’s not quite like that… You see… It’s like… No… Hmm….  (As she stumbles giving an explanation, she sits up putting a hand to her chin in thought.  She can’t seem to make on,e finding herself stumped and baffled by such a question.  The question even makes her rethink many things being completely baffled and speechless in thought).

Mizuko: (Her surprise shows as well but she is more silent with a baffled expression as well not able to come up with a simple answer to this as well having never thought of it before at all).

Orion: No not really since it didn’t happen like that Kairi… Nature is the natural element that started up on its own… It created itself.  There is no parental element since it had started on its own.

Mizuko: (Smiles at Orion grateful that he had such a quick answer).  Earth and water just tend to be a helping hand which is why we think of Shizen as our little sister.

Shizen: (Looks to both Orion and Mizuko gratefully as she was about to question her existence).

Kairi: ohh I get it then.

Jennifer: (Looks to Kairi with a questioning expression). Sometimes your questions are very odd Kairi.

Kairi: (Giggles and nods).  Sorry the question just popped into my head.

Chazz: Well, it’s nice to have curiosity but that was really out of left field but I’m glad you got an answer Kairi.

Shizen: (Sighs and nods).  I think it’s best to save any other questions until we port and perhaps keep questions like that to a minimum.

Mizuko: (Nods in agreement).  I would suggest starting to clean up then, Sally usually ports on the grounds next to the docks.

Tori: Alright than let’s get to cleaning up than since don’t want to make our ride mad at us.

They all start to clean up before they port making sure their bags are packed once again.  They reach land as soon as they pack the sea turtle Sally docking right beside a side wooden dock of the large city. The city seems much larger than the nature and earth ones they had been to with different color flags for each section symbolizing what element the household or shop is.  They look around as they are getting off the turtle seeing the dock area mainly having blue flags pointed out into the ocean as they stretch out from the sea voyage.

Jennifer: (Stretches her legs as she hops down from the turtle shell with a sigh). It feels nice to have my feet on land again.

Hiki: (She does some stretching as well).  Well, it was still an enjoyable ride so I would have been ok if we rode for longer.

Jennifer: (Nods in agreement with a smile).  It has certainly been a trip of a lifetime… We’ve seen things I didn’t even know existed here.  (Looks up at Sally, the sea turtle bowing her head slowly moving lowering her body so people can get off her shell easier).

Tori: Yeah… Though we got to keep going… Thanks for the ride, Sally.  (He and the rest wave).

Kairi: (Is holding the otter, Olly like a cat with a small pout).  Can’t they come with us though?

Mizuko: (Hops down gracefully from the platform creating a flow of water down to the dock). Unfortunately, they cannot since they need to stay near the water. I’m sure they will stay nearby the docks for us as they go hunting for food.

Kairi: (Pouts for a moment letting go Olly).  Alright make sure to have plenty of fish then.  (As she is saying goodbye to the animals the sea lion and seal, Ski and Scoot wobble up to Hiki.  Ski being more vocal with his barks as he sniffs Hiki tickling her cheek with his whiskers with a kiss which spooks owlet flapping his wings to regain balance on her shoulder again).

Hiki: (She laughs as Ski gives the kiss).  Well thank you very much for that.  (Scoot is right behind but still sticking by his bigger sea lion friend with a quieter goodbye with a small flop and snort.

Tori: (Tori as well can see the manatee napping.  In-between the nap Manny looks up at Tori from the water with a snort giving a cute, derpy look from his upper lip and eyes.  He smirks seeing the Manny). well next time we can take another nap for sure who knows how long it’ll last.

Hiki: (She smiles down at scoot and pets his head).  No need to be shy I’ll be back to see you again.  (Scoot kisses Hiki’s hand waddling up further to where Ski is being very clumsy on land however).

Tori: (Manny however just goes back to his nap in the water as a response to Tori).

Rowen: (Hops off the shell as well with an arm holding onto Echo but all of the sudden feeling a heave weight and a walrus tusk over his shoulder once again.  Waliver also does a much lower tone of snort holding a flipper up as if the giant walrus is giving him a hug from behind.  Echo wags her tail reaching to try and sniff and chew the tusk in play.  He smiles as he pets Waliver’s head).  Now, now I appreciate you as well and so does Echo so I’m glad you two get along.  (Waliver lets out a low bark leaning on Rowen more).

Jennifer: (Laughs listening to Waliver).  I think he’s very attached to you now and wants to follow.  He really likes your mustache too.  (As Waliver makes another snort resting his head on Rowen’s shoulder).  But he also says his mustache whiskers are still better.

Kairi: (Giggles at the walrus that seems to be pouting now).  Silly walrus.

Rowen: (He laughs as he strokes his bread).  Well, I still say mine is pretty good, but I appreciate the competition.

Shizen: (After Waliver slides off Rowen’s back very ungracefully his belly up like for a belly rub Rowen feels an arm wrap around him and a kiss on his cheek but more towards his mustache).  Well, if I were to give my opinion, I am quite fond of this one here.

Rowen: (He laughs as he kisses Shizen back).  Well than I do my nest to maintain it for more kisses.

Shizen: (Smirks).  Well, it’s not like you do not have a habit of keeping up appearances.  (Kisses him again getting a giggle from Kairi and the other girls).  

Chazz: (As this happens Chazz gets a small splash from the water seeing the Orca and Beluga, Orkid and Bally splash with their tales as a wave from the water.  He laughs as he gets splashed more and more).  Hey now that isn’t very nice to do that… I’ll get you two back later.

Orion: (Everyone makes sure they have everything together Orion the last to step down from the shell with Spike walking right beside him.  He starts to realize he is missing someone when something very large nudges him in the side but very genteelly.  It turns out to be the sea turtle’s giant beak but has a calm peaceful look as always in her eyes).

Orion: (He smiles as he looks above the sea turtle still seeing Rocky there).  Now rocky it would be rude to overstay your welcome when the miss over here is quite busy.  (Sally then lowers her head in front of Orion as low as possible so that Rocky can slowly climb down.  He smiles as helps Rocky get down).  There, there I’m sure you had a great time as you always do.  (Rocky has a pleasant smile as he reaches the ground but faces Sally stretching his head to touch her giant beak with his head a bit affectionately).

Kairi: (giggles seeing the turtle and tortoise).  Rocky has a girlfriend!

Shizen: (Smirks as she looks over).  It’s not seen often an animal gets a crush from a species other than its own.  He does need to get a bit of a growth spurt to keep up with her though.

Orion: Well regardless it’s nice to have affection and it seems Sally isn’t against so we shall see what happens in the end… But we must get going soon.

Shizen: (Nods in agreement).  Ahh yes, we should be heading into the city.  It’s a very large city and the council gatherings take place at the center.

Kura: (Her hands are gripped tight as she looks onward).  And that’s where Yami is….

Rowen: (He nods his head yes).  Yes, he is… But we must hurry before they move him to a different location.

Shizen: (Nods in agreement her face more serious in thought).  I’m sure Kishi is keeping guard well until the council gathers.  Hopefully Kishi and Kyoda can sneak him away for a small talk before it starts.

Mizuko: It would have to be right before when Yami is being moved to the council’s court.

Kairi: (Has a hopeful look as she looks onward).  I hope that will happen….

Kura: (Shakes her head). I… I hope they go easy one Yami… He didn’t mean to do a lot of things… He couldn’t help it.

Mizuko: (Places a hand on Kura’s shoulder for comfort).  You have half the council already on his sides… He’s a child as well which is why I would voice for Yami in mercy even without my siblings asking. Yami has many on his side.

Kura: (Looks up and Mizuko feeling a little more at ease).  Thank you….

Shizen: (Grins at Kura to reassure her as well).  And if not, then there’s always breaking him out as a last resort.

Tori: Well, we will make sure it doesn’t come to that all we can now is hope he is ok and we can get him out quick enough.

Shizen: Leave it to us council members to make Yami’s case.

Jennifer: I guess we should start walking then.  The city seems so large so it looks like it will be a bit of a walk.

Kairi: (Nods but turns to the sea creatures giving them a big wave). Bye Sally, Ski, Scoot, Waliver, Manny, Olly, Orkid and Bally we can introduce you to Yami later.  (As she does the wave the animals with flippers on land lift it though not high as they wave it back to the group).

Hiki: (She does the same as Kairi as she waves a lot with water element making a smile above them).  Bye!

Mizuko: (Covers a laugh as she does a small wave backwards as they walk).  Don’t worry they will stay and hunt near the dock so you will see them soon.

Hiki: Well, I hope so but still not going to see them for a while so might as make fun with it.

Jennifer: (Looks up at the watery smiley having a bit drop on her head).  Well, it certainly fits the theme of our trip and it’s something very fitting to you as a farewell.  They seem to all appreciate it as well as our company.

Hiki: Well than if they are happy than I’m glad… I want to make them happy for giving us a chance to meet.

Mizuko: It is good for them to meet new people that are kind.  Especially ones like Scoot.  It lets them slowly be able to trust some people once again.  If you would like there is volunteering to help harmed sea creatures one day.  We would be happy to have you visit.

Hiki: well I’ll be glad to come by and help..but only after everything… I want to have everyone there.

Mizuko: (bows her head politely). Of course, and thank you.

Jennifer: (Smiles at the idea).  My healing in nature would be put to good use more if so.

Shizen: (Grins patting Jennifer’s head).  I usually travel to other territories like earth and water in that area when I can so it would be nice to have a helping hand under my wing child.

Jennifer: (Laughs a little). I would be happy to.

Kairi: I want to help to but first I want to ask if Yami would want to and get him presents here from dark shop things ooh and light.  There was food here on the way, right?  (Is already looking at the shops passing a few feeling a little lost from how vast the city is, looking to Tori, Hiki and Kura for help).

Hiki: (She is looking around the center of the capital where everyone can see the diving features of the two cities).  Well… I want to show you guys to the library I spent most of my childhood since it’s on the way.

Kairi: (Looks up at Hiki with a big smile).  Ooh you mentioned that lets head in that area then!

Kura: (Smiles at Hiki as well).  I would be nice to see and learn more about you if it’s on the way.  I look forward to it.

Hiki: Yes!  I’ll show the way it should be only a few blocks away from us so let’s get going!  (She seems excited as she leads the group with Chazz and Tori beside her).

Jennifer: (She and the others walk behind Hiki and cant’s help but have their eyes wonder to the shops and apartments she able to point out what element each one was by the colors finding it fascinating).

Kairi: (Has a sparkle in her eyes seeing all the surrounding shops but also sticking by her sister knowing the distractions would make her wonder off).

Hiki: (The group is following her through the city she notices the capital building in the center where the library is).  Oh, there it is right there!  (She points towards a tower like building that is wide yet has a big clock at the opposite side of it).

Jennifer: (Looks up at the very large building made of white stone in a sleek design in a bit of awe).  That… Is a really big library.

Kairi: (Looks up as well in amusement).  I don’t think I’ve ever seen buildings like this whoa!

Hiki: Well, it’s more than library it’s also where the knights of the city go to meetings which is why I was there so often cause went with my mom.

Kura: (Looks up at the building as well).  It’s certainly a grand building to meet.  I remember going when very small but not too much. It must have been quite something to wonder and read any book you wanted at any time.

Hiki: Well, I could only go into certain sections that allowed me to some had barriers for the super-secret stuff maybe for council only.  But yeah, being the head knight’s daughter did come in handy.  (She smirks as she remembers getting pass barriers).

Shizen: (Nods looking at the surroundings).  You are the daughter of the head light spirit knight, so it makes sense you are getting your hands on powerful books that teach some of your magic.  (Looks around more and sighs with a smile).  This area is closer to the city center but still mostly in the light area.  Shiro wanted to make this a park and library area for learning.  She also talked about you at times after meetings so that probably gave you more access to higher level books as well.

Hiki: (She stops looking at the building than look down).  Yeah… She found me a really rough time… When my mom was kicking me out because she didn’t want people coming over to look down on her and me for having this hair…. (She plays with the black side of her hair).  Then I met her… And everything began to change slowly.

Kura: (Looks in complete surprise clinching her fist slightly).  Your… Mother kicked you out?

Jennifer: (Has a similar expression as well).  Just because of that you were cast out… Because you are balance?

Hiki: (She shakes her head no).  It wasn’t because of that… She was scared what people would do in all honesty she didn’t know how to handle it… So, her fear got the better of her… She would let me come back but than that fear would keep coming back.  And I think at the she didn’t know what it was so I can’t blame her for not knowing.

Jennifer: That’s still not right at all you must have been so young too… Not right at all.

Shizen: Back then light and dark had an even harder time understanding each other and were even more at odds so some parts are understandable, but it doesn’t make it right.  Even with Nagi and Shiro as their leader’s balance was a scary concept to them so some act on fear.  (Looks from both Hiki and Tori).

Hiki: Yes, you are right… But regardless I can’t stay mad at her… To be honest… I still loved her as much as I do now…. (She stops playing with her dark hair and starts with her white hair as Tori looks down).

Kairi: (Looks up at Hiki with a hopeful expression).  Maybe one day you can connect with your mom if you feel that way… I’m sure from that small time seeing her she looked like she regrets those things so maybe one day you can reconnect.

Chazz: (Having heard the stories from Hiki before he still can’t stand it all as he feels hurt in his heart).  If I may add… Hiki’s mother had come by us a few times in a spirit like projection so they could talk… So, the attempt was there though.

Jennifer: Maybe that’s a first step to try and understand more… It may take some time but maybe being in person with your friend’s support is a possible next step one day.

Orion: I think… Because of what happened before I think she is nervous so right now she is playing it safe which is good but overall, I’m happy she’s trying at least.

Hiki: (She shakes her head yes with a smile).  I think so as well.

Mizuko: You’re a good person to be able to give a someone chances after feeling hurt.  It’s a trait Shiro and I agreed on many times.  She also tried to give Yuzuki advice about you when younger.  I’m sorry that advise was cast aside at the time but she helped where she could.  She really wanted to take you under her wing more like Nagi did with Tori.  (Smiles compassionately at Hiki).

Hiki: No, no it’s fine really… No need to get so apologetic it’s in the past..and it’s all getting fixed one day at a time.

Tori: (He smiles as well from the thought of Nagi finding him and teaching him everything he knows).  Yeah, it was a nice time with everyone.

Kairi: (Looks up at both Hiki and Tori in wonder).  I wish I could have met them. Nagi and Shiro sound really great from how much you talk about them.

Kura: (Smiles having her own memories).  They were really amazing grandparents…  You couldn’t help but look up to them.

Orion: It’s true… They had set everything for us for follow… To become better… They had a lot of pressure on their backs, but they kept going strong.

Shizen: They really were strong… Before they disappeared, they somehow kept all of us in order… Now it feels like that order is missing that kept us together….

Mizuko: (Looks down but also at Shizen).  That is true but we have their memories to keep us strong and hope. Especially their apprentices of balance. Not saying the responsibilities will be on your shoulders now but to at least live out your lives with the lessons they gave you to make the world a better place with balance.  (Smiles at Hiki and Tori but also Chazz).

Tori: (He smiles).  Yeah, I’ll make sure to do just that cause I don’t want what happened with Izumi ever again.

Hiki: (She nods her head in agreement as she lets her hair down after playing with it).

Shizen: (Smiles at the two).  And that’s what we will be preventing… We want to keep this world and the people in it safe.

Kairi: (Looks up at Hiki becoming more curious looking at the surrounds of the library and park as well). Hiki… Can you tell us more about Shiro?  We heard a lot of Tori’s side and how he met them but is it ok if we hear more of your side?

Hiki: (She is taken back for a moment).  Um… Let’s head into the library first where it all began… It will help set up the scenery….

Rowen: Well, I do want to learn more as well about her seeing on how she raised you in an indirect manner which is impressive.

Chazz: It is… But let’s save the story for the library… You will all want to hear it.

Jennifer: I look forward to hearing it then. I do want to learn more about them as well so thank you.

Kura: (Looks up at the library they start to head towards with a small nod having her own memories but more of the books brought home to her).

Hiki: (As she is leading the group through the capital building passing the meeting room for the knights being led into an open pathway into the library).  Well, here we are.

Hiki is looking at all the shelves of books and hallways some areas having changed a bit but still she can remember perfectly from her childhood as she walks through.  Looking at everything her mind starts to go back to the particular moment talking with Shiro and the talk she overheard to her mother when she was a child.  When she was a child, she remembers wondering through the halls while her mother Yuzuki was to work in meetings.

It is at that time a meeting is ending as Hiki skips through the halls to look for her mother.  She hums a little but starts to hear her mother and another woman’s voice from stopping to go to the room peaking and overhearing before she goes inside.  She sees her mother sitting and talking with a woman she recognizes from other meetings but rarely talked to briefly before she was taken away by her mother to go home.  She listens in at first not wanting to get in trouble if she interrupted.

Shiro: (Sighs and smiles at Yuzuki).  I wanted to congratulate you personally Yuzuki.  Becoming head of the light guardians is a big accomplishment.

Yuzuki: (She seems nervous talking to the council woman).  Oh, um thank you very much lady Shiro… I will do my best to live up to everyone’s standards.

Shiro: No need to be so nervous I know you will do a fine job.  You will also be working Shizuna closely as well.  Your position will be mostly our defenses while hers offensive for the light territory.

Yuzuki: Ah yes… I will need to schedule a time to talk with her than since we need to agree upon a plan of action for certain things.  I look forward to it.

Shiro: Are you sure you are not taking on too much.  Being a mother and having such a demanding job is a hard thing to balance.  I should know having 4 myself… Well 5 now I suppose.  (Laughs a little to herself as thinks of Tori).

Yuzuki: (She pauses for a moment).  Oh no everything will be alright no need to worry about me.

Shiro: If you are sure but be careful taking on so much on your own.  (Leans back in her chair with a sigh).  I’ve actually run into your daughter in the halls a few times recently, Hikari was it?  Very sweet little girl though.

Yuzuki: (Again she is silent).  Oh yes, she is but I must get to talking to Shizuna before she leaves.  I’m sorry lady Shiro but I must be taking my leave now.  (She leaves Shiro in a hurry)

Shiro: (Grabs Yuzuki hand before she hurriedly leaves her eyes a little more serious but sincere).  Please wait Yuzuki… I wanted to have this chance to talk with you about her so please stay.

Yuzuki: (She sighs).  Alright we can talk a little more about this.

Shiro: (Settles back down allowing Yuzuki to do so as well).  I have notice you wanting to change the subject when it comes to your daughter.  She’s a very beautiful girl in face she has your blue eyes, you should be very proud to have her too she’s very smart.

Yuzuki: (She seems to look uncomfortable as she discusses this).  I know she is but… I have become very wary of her… I hear the rumors people have that’s she is corrupted because of her hair… So, it’s become very interesting.

Shiro: (Raises her eyebrow at Yuzuki sitting up again).  Corrupt… That’s the rumor then and if I could say in my opinion, she is not even near that plus she’s so young.  Her hair I find is quite beautiful, in fact I find it intriguing since no other light spirit has it.  It’s like a dark spirit having white hair.  (Laughs a little in-between seriousness).

Yuzuki: I know it’s beautiful… I know it is but sometimes I can’t be around her at all… I want to be, but I can’t bring myself to be.

Shiro: (Frowns hearing Yuzuki).  It will cause harm to push away Yuzuki… And if it is worries of corruption like the rumors say I wouldn’t listen.  No one is born corrupt anyways…  The only thing I will say… Is our first running into her my husband almost mistook her for a dark spirit…  It has only happened once with a dark spirit. I mistook him for light….  It interests me that maybe….  (In the middle of her statements her mind had seemed to go into deep thought putting a hand on her chin).

Yuzuki: That may be true but it’s still a hard fact to overcome but I must be going lady Shiro… I will try to take your advice as best I can.

Shiro: (Sighs but nods).  … Don’t push her away out of fear….  If I am right Yuzuki your daughter is a very special little girl… Just consider letting me train her one day….  That is all I ask.

Yuzuki: (She doesn’t answer as she nods and walks out of the office with Shiro).

Shiro: (Leaves as well but glances at a wall in the hall getting a small smile but goes the opposite way with a sigh).

Hiki: (As she was listening in on the conversation she begins to look down as she goes into the library and begins to wonder aimlessly more and more.  She heads into the water section of the library she begins to cry as she reads doing her best to stop her tears, but she can’t rid of the pain that’s in her heart).

Shiro: (At the end of another short meeting she is walking past in the library hallway but hears sniffling and faint crying stopping her in her tracks to turn in the direction she hears it.  She follows it to the water section in a shaded area because of two close together book shelves. She looks down to see Hiki sitting on the ground in the corner with a book.  Even with Hiki’s hair in the way she can still see tears fall onto the page making her frown as she goes towards the bookshelves).  Now what’s wrong over here then….

Hiki: (She is crying she looks up at Shiro but then smiles at Shiro regardless of the tears).  Hello… Lady Shiro… And nothing is wrong.

Shiro: (Frowns again at the response going closer to kneel in front of Hiki).  Now if that were true I wouldn’t see these tears would I?  (Takes a hand and gently uses it to wipe Hiki’s tears on her cheeks).

Hiki: (She is startled at first but then collapse into Shiro lap as she cries a bit more as though she needs a motherly figure right now).

Shiro: (Is surprised at first but then uses her motherly instincts to hold Hiki and pet her hair).  It is alright Hikari… Just let it all out, it will be ok.

Hiki: (After sometime​Hiki lets out of all the bad feelings in her heart as she wipes away her tears a d regains her composure).  I’m sorry lady Shiro… But thank you very much.

Shiro: (Smiles kindly still petting Hiki’s hair calmingly but moving to sit beside her).  It’s alright, I do not mind at all.  Sometimes moments like that are needed.

Hiki: (she is looking down as she speaks) yes you may be right….

Shiro: (Holds onto Hiki comfortingly letting her lean against her and pet her hair).  Now do you mind talking about what’s upsetting you, Hikari?  Seeing so many tears on such a bright face doesn’t suit at all.

Hiki: (as Shiro pets her hair she begins to hold tightly on the black strands of her hair).  … Was it wrong to be born this way… I was always treated differently in ways I don’t like… my mom is scared yet she loves me… I’m so unsure if everything right now.

Shiro: (Looks down at Hiki reaching down to help loosen her grip on the black side of her hair.  She holds the strand of black hair herself with a gentle smile).  There’s nothing wrong with you Hiki.  To be honest I think your hair is quite beautiful. It’s just who you are is all.

Hiki: beautiful… I believe that it is… It’s just hard to get over it all….  (She holds tightly into Shiro).

Shiro: (Sighs but smiles and nods).  I believe it is as well even so… But if you want to tell me what it is making it hard to get past then tell me.  Maybe I can help reassure you in a way.

Hiki: (She looks up at Shiro losing composure again).  Am I corrupted… Am I actually evil…? Who am I really…?

Shiro: (Hugs Hiki again and hold her there).  Oh, you are far from corrupt and don’t ever think you are.  What makes you say such a thing?  Is it related to darkness?

Hiki: I guess… It’s all I hear from everyone else… That’s their darkness in a light spirit is a bad thing… I’m not sure.

Shiro: (Pauses in a little thought at first).  I see… If I can ask a favor Hikari are you able to create a ball of light yet?

Hiki: (She nods her head yes as she holds up her hand creating a small ball of light energy).

Shiro: (Look closely at the ball of light in Hiki’s hand with interest.  A smile slowly forms as she can see a tiny bit of darkness in the center but barely noticeable at first glance. She points to the center of the light as well excitement her assumption was proven right though she keeps it to herself for now).  Right there… It’s hard to see but that right there is dark energy inside of light.

Hiki: (she is afraid hearing it for the first time as the energy becomes unstable) so I really am corrupted….

Shiro: (Continues to smile calmly but shakes her head no).  No Hikari it just mean you very special… here let me show you.  We have something quite in common.  (She puts her hand out so Hiki can see a bit larger ball of light in her hand.  Even more noticeable is the center with dark energy much clearer in her light).

Hiki: (She looks closely and seems confused).  Wait why do you have that too lady Shiro.  (Seems to have perked up a bit)

Shiro: Well Hikari I am something called a light balance spirit. It is very rare; in fact, I was the only one with this special light energy.

Hiki: (She tilts her head for a second).  Light balance?  I have only read about a mixture of energies… But not balance… What is it?

Shiro: First of all, having a little form of darkness isn’t bad at all.  It just means you are special like me.  Light balance is one half of the balance really that we hold.  Darkness isn’t something you should fear either its simply the opposite of light.

Hiki: (She is silent as she holds onto Shiro more).  So, I’m… Not corrupted… I’m special… I’m a balance spirit….

Shiro: (Shakes her head yes).  Yes, you are and if you want a little more reassurance of darkness, I will have you know that I live in a house with a dark spirit husband one light spirit daughter and 4 dark spirit sons and a grandson.  (Laughs a little lifting the mood a bit more).

Hiki: (Her face immediately brightens up as she laughs as well).  That’s sounds like a wild house lady Shiro!

Shiro: (Continues to laugh and nods again).  And if you want to know another secret.  They may look scary, but they are far from it, they are actually a couple of goofballs if anything.

Hiki: (She continues to laugh as she smiles more).  That’s something! Just the type of thing to have tough looking people be a bunch of goofballs.

Shiro: (Laughs as well patting Hiki’s head).  Especially my husband but one day you will find a goofball of your own too.  Probably be surrounded by them as well.

Hiki: (She blushes as she looks up with a smile).  … I… I would hope so… I want to fall in love!

Shiro: (Looks even more amused).  You do then?  Well, I’m sure you will find someone just as goofy as my husband.  There’s one other thing you should know about balance though.

Hiki: What is it lady Shiro?  (She tilts her head in confusion).

Shiro: Well, let’s start with a question.  Have you ever wondered why you saw some things for dark spirits and took interest in them?

Hiki: (She thinks to herself for a moment).  Hmm I guess I have now that I think about it more.

Shiro: Well, when you are a light balance spirit it’s quite normal more likely to be interested and surrounded by dark spirits.  It’s that little bit of darkness you shouldn’t fear or be ashamed of.  We are half the balance after all.

Hiki: (She still thinks to herself about everything).  Well, I guess it makes sense since should be accepting regardless but I’m happy I have that connection….

Shiro: Yes, balance is a very important thing this world needs.  We fulfill one half of the balance while a dark spirit holds the other.  For me that would be my husband and if he were to make a ball of darkness then there would be a small bit of light at the center as well.

Hiki: Other half?  So, if your husband is your other half and is a dark spirit… Is it fated for me to love another dark spirit?  (Has a huge sense of confusion).

Shiro: (Can’t help but burst in laughter at the thought).  No Hiki you are not fated to having to be with your other half of the balance.  Mine I just happened to fall in love that way.  You will have a close bond with him regardless of how its expressed.  I will introduce you two one day though.

Hiki: (She blushes from Shiro laughing like that).  Alright… I look forward to it than.

Shiro: You don’t to worry about that now… But you do seem to like the idea of love then.  I bet you read a lot about those things then?  (Her laughing calms down but she still sounds amused).

Hiki: (She blushes more getting embarrassed).  Maybe… I read it sometimes through the library….

Shiro: (Pats Hiki’s head with a smile again).  Well, you’re still a very young girl so no need to rush, it’s nice to dream of though… You will find that one to make you happy that way one day.

Hiki: (She looks up to Shiro with a smile as she shakes her head).  I know… But I will be patient… Since love is very special.

Shiro: I will give one advice to that though and that is to make sure he’s taken of guard in a pause just seeing you but also supports and helps that smile of yours grow with some silly goofball ways as well.

Hiki: (She nods her head).  Oh, I know… I’m not that easy to impress… But I want to make sure that both are happy… Since what matters most from what I have read is happiness.

Shiro: (Chuckles a little and nods in agreement).  Yes, that is the truest statement of all.  Also make sure he’s the one chasing you even if he’s too stubborn to admit it.  (Her laugh is more to herself this time as a few memories come to mind).

Hiki: (She laughs).  Oh, I know I won’t make anything easy, but I’ll make sure to help them if he loses his way.

Shiro: You’re a smart girl… Hikari… Would you mind one day becoming my apprentice… It may be hard now but one day I will teach you all I can about that balance inside you if possible.

Hiki: (He is silent as she begins to hold Shiro and smile).  I would be happy to be!

Shiro: I’m glad then… And don’t worry about others too much.  Balance is a hard thing to understand so some resort to fear… And your mother just needs time to understand for herself.  (Pets Hiki’s hair with a comforting smile).

Hiki: I know… But I will still love her no matter what… Because she is still my mom….

Shiro: (Her smile becomes softer from Hiki’s words).  Well then… You are a very kindhearted spirit Hikari… If I would suggest from what I know of your mother She does love music, especially classical.

Hiki: I Know… I have been practicing to impress her with the music on the violin….

Shiro: (Raises her eyebrows in surprise).  We have a lot in common then Hikari, and you’re a very smart girl too.  (Looks over to the booms she was reading with a small laugh).  And I would say keep visits like this quiet for now until I can train you more openly with permissions.  For now, I was planning to give you some of my access to higher level books barriered off… Seems you already got to them hmm?  (Raises her eyebrow at Hiki again looking a bit amused).

Hiki: Oh um… I’m sorry I didn’t have patience to wait for permission so I kind of bypassed the seals in order to get to everything else… I’m sorry miss Shiro.

Shiro: (Laughs a little).  Oh, a little girl like you passing such barriers.  Very smart indeed.  Now don’t worry I’m more impressed than anything.  It seems you have interest in different element magic, so I encourage learning your interests.  I have a few lessons and books I may suggest to you as well.

Hiki: (Her eyes immediately brighten up upon hearing Shiro say that).  Really!  Do you mean it!  Can I read more?

Shiro: (Can’t help but laugh more at Hiki’s eagerness).  Why of course but you will need a card from me.  It’s normally for older children who are students, but I think an exception can be made.  Just promise to ask first from now on if there’s a section you want to go in.

Hiki: (She shakes her head again).  Alright!  But I can’t wait to tell her when I can!

Shiro: (Pats Hiki’s head helping her stand up more).  Let me talk to her first then.  Now come one then I like a smile much more for you, it suits you quite well.  Now come on then I’ll get you a treat from a bakery and ice-cream place nearby that’s quite good if you would like.

Hiki: (She smiles as she stands up holding Shiro’s hand tightly).  Alright… Come on come on before they run of those great blueberry pasties I love!

Shiro: (Shakes her head as she pulled along by Hiki).  Well, there’s no time to waste then.

In a flash of light Shiro and Hiki leave and Hiki shakes out of her pause in remembrance finding herself staring at the same area in bookshelves she was crying under as a child.  Not much has changed in all that time from what she can see of the area, only the books rearranged and a little dustier as she feels a light sting on her back as she thinks of the memory.

Hiki: Shiro….  (She rubs her hand across the bookshelf).  She… Had helped realized my own potential.

Jennifer: (Smiles at Hiki standing beside her for support).  She sounds like even more of a amazing person the more I hear of her.

Kura: … She was a really good grandmother, so I understand…  I guess you thought of her as a role model just as much.

Hiki: Yes… I basically saw her as a second mom to me really… It was real nice change of pace for growing up….

Tori: Yeah… Shiro was always like that… It’s how she filled the role for me easily once I was introduced into the family… She helped break down my nerves.

Kairi: (Looks up at Hiki with a smile).  Maybe that bakery you mentioned is still open.  we can go and you can pick up food you liked with Shiro on the way.

Shizen: (Smiles at Hiki and Tori as well putting a hand on both their shoulders).  They both talked about you a lot.  They were very proud of you and talked a lot about moments like that.

Tori: I know they did… And that’s what kept giving me motivation to keep going because I didn’t want to disappoint them even after everything​ had happened… I couldn’t do that….  (He looks down in sadness for a moment but regains his composer as he steels his resolve to keep going).

Shizen: We keep moving forward for those who were here.  That’s all anyone can do… To live with those memories and become better from those… No matter how much it hurts sometimes.

Hiki: Yes… But for now, let’s not dwell too much on the past we have something to do for the future!

Jennifer: Yes, but I don’t mind stopping to grab things from your bakery on the way as well.  It will be a memory you can share with us now.

Chazz: I have heard so many stories about this said bakery.  You have told me stories all night once just so I could know everything I could know about them.  (He smiles as he remembers the memory getting excited to finally see the bakery Hiki had talked about before).

Rowen: Well, I do believe I could go for some sweets.  It’s always nice to have some because I could go for a muffin at any time in the day.

Hiki: (She pouts for a second).  Well, the more we are chit chatting the more time were wasting not eating some sweets.  Let’s get going than!

Shizen: (Raises her eyebrows amused at Rowen putting an arm around him as Echo wag her tail excitedly moving around quite a lot in his hold).  I never figured you to be a man with a sweet tooth.

Rowen: Well, I wouldn’t say that I have a sweet tooth, but I do appreciate the many sweets bakery’s make.

Jennifer: (Smiles understandingly).  It’s really any food made fresh that can be appreciated though.  I think out of everyone we all know who has the biggest sweet tooth.  (Motions to Kairi).

Kairi: (Having missed most of what was said she looks over while skipping happily next to Tori).  What was that?

Tori: (He smirks as he smiles).  Oh nothing, nothing.  We were just mentioning how much you love sweets.

Kairi: (Her eyes gain a sparkle).  I hope there’s plenty of cake and ice cream to eat!

Shizen: (Laughs a little).  I had my own dish a particularly liked having when out with Shiro as well, but we will need to wait until closer or eat as we walk for any quick food stops.

Jennifer: (Looks at Shizen curiously). What did you have?

Shizen: well, I was quite fond of Ratatouille.

Kairi: We can get that too and bring all sorts of food to have with Yami then.

Kura: He will appreciate burgers and hotdogs more than anything but then again, he is not picky.

Chazz: Well, I’m sure we will find some places to get him some food along the way for sure.  But yes let’s be off for now.

The whole group walks on the street stopping quickly at a few stores but never staying more than a few moments.  They first stop at the bakery buying baked good for later as well as Tori and Kura stopping more towards the dark spirit area for food as well.  They all walk for some time to reach the city center noticing they reach an area with spirits of all kinds living much closer to one another.

Mizuko: (Takes notice as she looks around seeing the giant central of the city much closer ahead).  It seems we are getting closer.  The center is just at the end of this street.

Orion: Yes!  We are only a few blocks away generally from the building we need to be at.  (He looks around the city as well).

Rowen: Ah I see well it seems that we just flew through the city and wish we could explore more but that can wait till everything is over.

Shizen: We will need to stay in the central area for today. We made it in good time though.

Jennifer: (Looks around as well with her sister). I like this area though; it looks like different people of every element live together here.

Mizuko: (Nods in agreement).  The center is where all seem to get along and work together a bit more, or that was the hope anyways.  In the coming decades and centuries there has been talk of expanding a market and stores of different elements, but it is up to the people how they layout and contribute their talents.

Orion: There has been a mix-up of opinions as time has gone on and we have had people agree to it for the majority but still have that small amount against it.

Shizen: It may be easier when festival times grow closer then to move in the markets and shops though.  People are more convinced to things then.

Kairi: (Tilts her in interest).  A festival?

Mizuko: Why yes, there is a grand festival in this city everyone swarms to. It is gathering with events for all, and peace is required throughout the territories as they have booths showing what their element means to them the culture. It is quite an extraordinary celebration with numberless events compositions to represent your element best.

Kairi: (Her eyes sparkle from how exciting a festival).  That sounds amazing! We should go to that!

Shizen: (Sighs and shakes her head though still with a small smile).  It sadly is only every century or so and it has been less frequent with the last wars events.  I’m afraid you may miss it.

Rowen: Well, I’m sure after everything is settled some kind of festival will happen so I’m sure everything will work out.

Mizuko: There are festivals of each element individually more often.  They take place in the cities of the element theme and occur a little more often.

Jennifer: Then maybe we could go to some of those.

Orion: I don’t see why we couldn’t in all truth but let’s keep going cause need to get to the meeting.

Shizen: We will need to stay in the city center until bells ring. It is a warning sign for a gathering to start.

Kairi: (Looks ahead skipping a little faster to see the city center curiously).  Let’s get going then! I’m sure there will something cool in the center.

Jennifer: (Goes a little faster to stay with Kairi).  Kairi don’t run off-.  (She trips a little out of the street seeing the busy city center the large buildings built in a circle with an elemental symbol engraved throughout.  The largest building in the circle and built out a bit more stands out the most with a statue directly in front and in the very center of the courtyard. She looks in awe of the building and courtyard being at a loss of words with her sister).  … Whoa….

Chazz: (he is close behind her as he is looking around the city as wellbeing captivated by the site) wow….

Tori: (he walks up closely behind) welcome to the balance center of the entire spirit world. haven’t been here for a while.  Hiki and I had to come here once separately to get rightful acknowledgement of the balance powers

Shizen: (Sighs looking up at the large council building).  Looks like we made it here….  All meetings concerning the council take place here in that large building.

Jennifer: (Sill is paused with a look of awe).  It’s… Amazing

Orion: Oh, if you think the outside is amazing wait till you see the inside of it.  Trust me when I say they tried to make sure everything looked good.

Mizuko: When the council was formed, we decided to have this be the grandest spot in the spirit world… I wasn’t as fond of showing off, but it gave Orion a chance to work on something large scale in stone.

Shizen: (Smirks with a chuckle). You and the other men of the council went crazy with standout ideas way back then.

Orion: Well, Nagi was very supportive as he helped decorate it.  It wasn’t all just me everyone else just helped contribute to the structure.

Shizen: In his words it had to represent how awesome we were.

Kura: (Looks at the building as well with a nod).  That defiantly sounds like my grandfather….

Tori: Yeah… It does sound like Nagi to be like that but that’s what made him great to be around….  (He smiles as he looks at the capitol building).

Jennifer: (Still is in awe but then notices Kairi was starting to move forward her eyes fixed in wonder to what she moves towards. She chases after not wanting to be separated).  Kairi wait for us.

Kura: (Follows right behind with the same idea).

Chazz: (He notices that Hiki is close behind Kairi).

Hiki: (As she is moving with Kairi and sightseeing as they are walking together).

Kairi: (As everyone quickly tries to catch up, she makes her way to what had caught her eye looking up at the statue in the middle of a man and woman standing together in a stately manner.  In one hand the beautiful woman with her hair down holds a staff with a light glow at the top.  The man has a sword with darkness on its hilt and their other hand is held onto each other with a light and dark around them mixing together).  That’s Nagi and Shiro then….

Hiki: (She smiles as she looks up at the statue she hasn’t seen in forever).  Yep that’s them… Shiro was against having the statue be of themselves but everyone insisted that they do that.

Shizen: Nagi was more excited about the idea honestly.  He even convinced Shiro to have her hair down on the statue.  She mostly had her hair up for when she worked which I agree since I put my hair in a braid sometimes… But… Nagi always got this look to her when her hair was down.  (Smiles up at the statue of the couple).

Jennifer: (Looks up at the statue and Shiro as Shizen talks).  … She really is beautiful….

Tori: She really was… But it was always nicer to see Shiro with her hair down it looked more natural that way… It was nice….

Kairi: Nagi looks really cool too. He looks like a giant knight ready suited for battle.

Kura: (Nods in response).  He was a grand master darkness knight and Shiro was a grandmaster in light… They really were amazing.

Orion: Aye they were… It’s the bond they had that brought everyone together like his… Now only we must preserve the peace and keep going.

Mizuko: It’s easy to look back and reflect on them though.

Jennifer: (As they are talking something catches her attention feeling a presence a little around the statue wondering around to look for it Shizen taking notice as well).

Rowen: Well….  (He notices the look on Jennifer).  What is it miss Jennifer?

Shizen: (Smirks knowing what she is looking for following as well with a green shine in her eye Rowen can see leaving the others confused).  He hasn’t left then….

Orion: (He smirks having a good idea who it is).  Well, we are about to have a grand guest arrive.

Jennifer: (She is the first to go around the statue seeing a large grand Clydesdale stallion.  The horse is strong looking with a black fur coat and white mane looking at the handsome creature in awe as it stands by the statue shaking his mane a bit).  Hello there….

Hiki: (She is close behind Jennifer).  Oh, hey there Chief… It’s been a long while….

Tori: (He hears Hiki and immediately looks up and heads towards the two girls).  Chief it’s been a long-time buddy!

Kairi: (Looks up at Hiki and Tori confused).  Chief?

Shizen: (Laughs going over as well).  He is a very close friend and Nagi’s horse.  I shouldn’t be surprised he is still here.

Orion: He used to follow wherever Nagi would be.  He would wait outside till the meeting was over though I’m trying to understand why he is still by the statue.  (He looks confused)

Jennifer: (She and Shizen look at the horse at it snorts and stomps his foot a bit proudly.  They seem to be listening to Chief Shizen letting out a sigh as well).

Chazz: Well, it seems like we will find out overall in the end since those two are listening to him.  So, let’s just wait and see what happens.

Shizen: (Sighs again shaking her head).  I thought that would still be the case.

Kairi: (Looks even more confused beside Kura).  What is?

Jennifer: (Pets Chiefs head with a synthetic frown).  He’s… Waiting for his master to come back….

Rowen: He hasn’t left… He has been patient wanting him to come back….  (He looks down as does everyone else).

Shizen: (Nods looking at Chief who makes another snort putting a calming hand on him).  Yes… I remember when right after we found him here.  Kishi tried getting him to go with him but he’s just as stubborn as his master….  It’s even has been quite a few centuries since then he won’t budge… It really shows how loyal animals can be.

Tori: (He pets Chief having​ a face of sadness).  I know, I want him to come back too… But we both know he isn’t….  (Chief only shakes his head and mane in defiance with a small neigh stomping a hoof).

Shizen: (Sighs shaking her head).  Stubborn and as in denial as ever… It is nice to have hope though….

Orion: It’s fine to have hope like that… But I guess we can’t really tell him otherwise anymore… He wouldn’t agree to it though he knows the truth already.

Shizen: (Shakes her head).  I remember Kishi and I first trying to move him away…  He nearly trampled Kishi.  It looks like he visits still though.  (Looks behind seeing a small bail of hey, food and water).

Kura: (Looks as well going to pet Chief as well with sympathy).  That does sound like my uncle to do that….

Tori: It really does sound like him… But at least it seems like the townsfolk are helping.

Jennifer: (looks at Chief still seeming to listen).  He does really seem like a proud noble steed though.

Shizen: He has been since he was a young foul.  Only Nagi he would let ride him because of the respect he earned and anyone else would be bucked off immediately.  Even before he was a proud stallion who wouldn’t let anyone ride him and it took Nagi many attempts and determination to earn Chief’s respect.

Tori: (He remembers back to the times seeing Nagi try and try riding again on Chief).  Yeah, he kept going on about stories that he had shared with Chief.

Shizen: (Grins looking up at Chief).  I’m sure he had many stories.  He wanted a noble steed to ride into battle with him and he got the most powerful and independent rebellious spirited stallion of the herd.  Just like him to choose a grand stallion Clydesdale like Chief.  (Rustles Chiefs main who bobs his head clopping a hoof proudly).

Mizuko: (Looks over and nods with a small smile).  I remember hearing Nagi and Shiro going to the nature territory.  It was more of a trip for Nagi then.
Shizen: (Remembers far too well her grin growing).  The nature territory has a large horse stable and sanctuary and I remember well.  If I can quote him, he wanted a proud steed to ride into battle and look awesome on.

Jennifer: So, they got him from the nature territory….

Orion: Yes, he did he kept going on and about those stories that Shizen told him about it and the rest of the story was told then.

Shizen: Shiro continued complaining Nagi would stop one the way so often asking if that was his horse regardless of what type of animal it was.  Quiet amusing to say the least.

Kairi: (Giggles while petting Chief’s long mane).  I wish we had time to learn more about that.

Mizuko: (Looks on top of the large building with the gate closed for now).  We have until the bells ring and the gate opens at most so as long as we are quick about it.

Chazz: Well what kinds of adventures did the two share?  (He looks towards Tori and Kura mostly for the answer).

Tori: (He thinks to himself for a second).  Well after Nagi had brought back Chief he would ride him basically everyday he tried teaching everyone in the family to ride if they were old enough.  Usually, we had some decent results but Nagi was the only one who could ride him the Best.  Though Shiro did put up a good fight in getting chief to let her ride him. It was one of those misadventures that Nagi cherished a lot it seemed like.

Kura: I remember Kishi attempting to ride Chief without Nagi nearby and immediately getting bucked off into a tree and hitting his gut… It was quite funny.  (Laughs more to herself).

Shizen: Nagi had to go through even more to earn his respect.  quite a trial he was put through indeed.

Jennifer: How difficult was it for Nagi?  (Looks to Chief seeming to be listening to him as well).

Shizen: (Laughs at a sound from Chief no others seem to understand).  Well let’s see then….  (She starts to think back to the point Nagi and Shiro came to visit and look for a steed for himself knowing it was quite amusing at the time even the idea of this visit).

 

She sits and goes into her memories next to Chief starting with the nature territories forest waiting for her honored guests.  She leans on a wooden fence post a little out of the way of the city seeming to be more country farmland.  She is in casual green and brown but low-cut work shirt and pants and her grey hair in a long braid away from her face.  She is more casual about her stance, and she sighs sensing some movement up the path her eyes glowing green to check if it is her guests with a grin.  Her senses travel throughout the wilderness until she finds what she is looking for seeing and hearing two very familiar friends.

Shiro: (Sighs as she pushes a vine out of her face).  Nagi come on now we don’t have time to-.  (Looks behind her seeing Nagi had stopped again staring at a wild black bear).  … What are you doing now?

Nagi: (He is a very causal outfit as well since it’s not council business).  Well, I just saw him along the way… Then I immediately wanted to walk with him and bond.  (He grins as he hears Shiro sighs).

Shiro: (Shakes her head but he can see a slight amused smile she can’t help as her hair tied in a ponytail blows in a breeze a bit).  Nagi this is the 10th time last time was a buffalo and that’s a wild bear.  I know your excited to have noble steed but maybe something a little less wild.

Nagi: But, but… It’s a good bear.  (As he pets the bear seeing that it isn’t against it).

Shiro: Come on now I’m sure the bear is nice, but we also promised to meet Shizen for a horse.  Maybe wait until then to make the decision and let the wild animals stay wild no matter how friendly they seem.

Nagi: (sighs as the bears leaves and waves goodbye to it).  And here I thought I finally found it.  But my wife is right let’s look at some horses.

Shiro: (Kisses Nagi on the lips to reassure him).  I know your excited, but some animals need to stay where they are.  Like Shizen said you will know your companion when you see it so be patient and try not to adopt all the horses you find.

Nagi: (He smiles from the kiss).  Alright, alright let’s get to looking then.

Shiro: Thank you honey now let’s first have a chance to look-.  (Looks around as she says this noticing a large spider on a tree near the path going a little pale when seeing it’s as big as her head).  Let’s… stay on the path….

Nagi: (He laughs a bit).  Alright honey let’s stay on the path then.

Shiro: (Sighs sticking close to Nagi for the rest of the walk reaching a break in the path where they finally see fencing and farmland.  It is very peaceful until they notice someone leaning on one of the fence post a little ways away waving over).

Shizen: (Grins waving over as she yells to them).  Took you long enough, take a few too many stops!

Nagi: (He waves towards Shizen).  Well, we found a bear along the way and I grew attached for a few moments.

Shizen: Ahh yes, I had a sense of you two in the forest.

Shiro: (Raises an eyebrow with her hands are hips).  I hope this isn’t just a excuse to see and tease my husband now.

Shizen: (Shakes her head no with a grin and amused laugh).  Come on now, I take animals seriously after all. This is just a visit to do business with good friends.

Nagi: (He shakes his head yes though he remembers the time Shizen has teased him before).  Though you have done something like this before where it led to that and to be honest, I rather go home with my wife today.

Shizen: (Laughs more).  Come on now when it involves animals, I can be a little more serious this time.

Shiro: (Sighs but carries on).  Perhaps show us the horse then.  Nagi has been excited about this trip for weeks now.

Shizen: (Her laughter calms down but still has a large grin).  Well, it’s a bit more difficult than just taking in any horse.

Nagi: oh, is it really​?  I never knew it would take effort.  (He looks around in excitement too have some sort of challenge with this. He doesn’t want it to be too easy for him for his valiant stead).

Shizen: And that is why I put aside the teasing… I take animals seriously after all.  I know already how good you are so I know you will not do harm to the animal and treat it well.  Also, as a strict policy the animal has to have a bond form to become a loyal companion.  Earn its respect since you are not the only one deciding, the animal must agree as well.

Shiro: (Is a bit surprise hearing the bit of seriousness in Shizen’s voice but should have expected so when dealing with animals as they start walking to the ranch and stable area).  I see then.

Nagi: (He has already started walking around near the horses just looking​ at each one).  Hmm I wonder.

Shiro: (Looks around as well curiously seeing a small stocky pony about half her height with a thick cream color coat and white main seeming very sweet as it goes up to sniff her.  She smiles and bends down putting her hand out to pet her).  Well, hello there, aren’t you sweet.

Shizen: (Grins seeing Shiro take a little interest as well).  She’s our Shetland pony.  They stay about that size and with her sweet nature she is good with teaching little one’s riding.

Shiro: (Smiles more as she pets the pony).  I see she is a very good girl then.  I wish I had brought my kids here when they were a bit younger for you.

Nagi: (He sees his wife get love struck by the small horse and can’t help but smile as he looks around more).  Now, now where is the horse I want….

As he looks around more wondering through the field of horses some sniffing him others going about their own business, he hears a loud neighing.  He turns seeing a very large horse with a black coat and white mane and long fur poofing out over his hoofs.  He also can see the horse is very muscular compared to other horse breeds as it bucks forward at another horse displaying it is dominate.  The other horse gallops away quickly from it as the large horse shakes his mane proudly as it trots around the ranch.

Nagi: (He smiles as he sees the horse).  Found it!  (He walks towards the horse with determined to make it his).

Shizen: (Looks over hearing Nagi call out from the herd seeing the horse he moves towards dropping everything to rush over).  Crap not that one.  Nagi watch yourself!

Shiro: (Looks over as well not knowing what is going on).  Hmm?   

Nagi: (Before Shizen can rush over he is close enough to the large horse for it to notice him putting its ears back in a defensive way as it stomps its hoof swishing his tail a bit.  He smirks as he stops wanting to play this game of intimidation).  Oh, that’s how we are going to play.  (The horse swiftly trots up and jumps its two front large hoofs up at Nagi neighing loudly again.  He stays in place and dodges the horse).  Got to do better than that buddy.  The horse then kicks Nagi down with his back legs trotting a few steps away shaking its mane with a huff).

Shizen: (Is the first to rush over trying to calm the situation offering a hand to help Nagi up).  Nagi be careful with that one.  He’s the lead horse here and very proud, bucks off anyone who goes near.  I can’t even get bridle on him.

Nagi: (He smirks as he looks more determined than ever).  Oh, the strongest one huh?  I’ll challenge that since I know he wants a challenge.  (He gets up and his dark energy starts to surround him).

Shiro: (Sighs shaking her head).  It is just like you to choose the strongest and proudest of them all.

Shizen: (Sighs as well).  He’s a Clydesdale stallion so it won’t be easy.  It’s a very strong and powerful breed and he has a lot of stamina as well.  People even call him Chief from how proud he is, and no one’s been able to stay on him more than a few seconds.  From what I listen too he only will respect you if outlasts him.  Won’t be easy he’s one of the most stubborn creatures I’ve seen.

Shiro: (Has a small smirk looking between Nagi and Chief).  They have a lot in common then.

Nagi: (He smirks).  Oh, just out last him that’s too boring… But so shall it be.  (As the dark energy redirects into his arms).

Shizen: (Smirks watching Nagi start to walk towards chief again).  Boring huh?

Shiro: (Shakes her head with a small smile at her husband).  I didn’t think I would be using healing this trip.  Very well I see why you asked us to dress casual then.  (Looks at all the dirt and some muddy parts).

Shizen: (Her smirk grows as she nods).  I would sit tight; this could take a while.

Nagi: (Hours have gone by and Nagi and chief are still at a standstill as Nagi continues to not give up on riding Chief but more and more he is getting there).  You’re a tough one for sure which makes me want to ride you even more than ever.  (Chief huffs out a bit a bit after hours they had been at this shaking his mane out a bit and stomping his hoof as he gets ready to buck Nagi off him once again stubbornly.  He smiles more and more).  Well feeling confident now aren’t you Chief.  Well to bad this will be the last time you will knock me off.  (He puts more energy into his arms as he gets ready for it.  Chief stands his ground starting at a gallop towards Nagi, heavy hoofs hitting the ground powerfully.  He proceeds to get on top of Chief and manages to get a good grip as they begin their last fight.  Chief bucks strongly multiple times less often as the other times but he can tell how strong the horse is with each swift move to try and buck Nagi off him).

Shizen and Shiro: (Match by the fence still impressed that this match has lasted so long).

Nagi: (He is able to stay on top of Chief).  Not just yet!  (Chief in a last jump he bucks up with his front hoofs with the last of his stamina after a long match neighing loudly.  He falls backwards onto his back Nagi landing on his back as well into some mud in and Chief laying close by with a huff.  He is breathing hard in and out).  Well, it seems like I lasted just as long you… Chief.  (Chief sits up in the hay laying down still but looking at Nagi next to him.  There seems to be a change as he sniffs Nagi curiously still huffing and snorting a bit.  His ears are now pointed up and a different calmer look is in his eyes not needing to hear him translated to see they earned each other’s respect now.  He smiles as he pets Chief’s neck).  Well, you did pretty good too.  Didn’t think it would take me too much effort, but you put up a great challenge.

Shizen: (She and Shiro make their way to Nagi and Chief).  Took you two longer than I expected.

Shiro: (Laughs a little).  I didn’t expect you to be challenged so much by a horse now.  I am glad you didn’t bring good clothing as well.  (a hand glows of light as she kneels to Nagi’s level to and heal him a bit from falling so many times as well as wiping some of the dirt off him).

Nagi: (He grins as he kisses his wife really quick).  Well, it was a wonderful challenge regardless.

Shiro: (Kisses back and then looks at Chief).  What happens now with your new friend?

Shizen: (Kneels down to stroke Chief’s mane).  That would be up to this one here, but I can tell the respect is already earned.

Nagi: Well, if he wanted to stay here, I wouldn’t be upset since he deserves that choice from how much trouble he put me through.  (There is a small pause as Chief looks at Nagi huffing a bit but his eyes seeming to show thought.   There’s a moment pause between then before Chief starts to move to stand sturdily.  He doesn’t move anywhere though as if waiting swishing his tail and shaking his mane out a bit).

Shizen: (Grins but says nothing as she stands and goes over to a nearby shed to grab something).

Nagi: (He looks at Chief in a state of confusion for a second not understanding what he is just standing there for).  umm?

Shiro: (Has a bit of confusion as well towards Chief helping Nagi up from the hay).

Shizen: (Comes back quickly holding something in her hands. She grins knowing it will be clearer as she holds out a simple dark leather saddle and bridle to Nagi). Nagi… I think you will be needing these.

Nagi: (It takes a moment for him to process everything but then perks up in a smile as he puts it all together taking the saddle to chief).  Well than Chief.  With this saddle I would name you mine.  However, this time, I’ll name you my partner in battle.  (Chief bobs his head with a stomp of his hoof proudly.

Shiro: (Has an amused look at her husband).  Now you made that sound so familiar to me. If only I could pinpoint from where.

Nagi: (He blushes from his wife’s statement).  Well… I tend to reuse the good ones… But I’m glad Chief accepts me as do I.

Shizen: Well, he’s the type of horse I would believe he will only listen to one now though I can expect he will be just as proud as you act.

Shiro: (Smiles and calmly pets Chief’s head to gain some trust as well).  I am sure I can handle another proud noble attitude in the house, a very handsome steed as well.  As long as you are not too harsh to our kids.  (Chief sniffs Shiro a bit and bobs his head a bit to the praise responding very well to the compliments).

Shizen: (Smirks seeing Shiro already gaining from trust for Chief).  Not bad at all.  Only a moment or two and you gain a bit of trust as well.

Shiro: Well, I have gotten quite good over the many years of dealing with that type of attitude.  (Laughs and looks at her husband).

Nagi: Well, that may be true… You still love it very much Misses Shiro….  (He smiles).

Shiro: (Smiles back).  yes, I do, it may be quite hectic at times, but it is also what makes it exciting.

Shizen (Pouts a little as she saddles up Chief for Nagi).  Oh, you two may make me jealous with such talk.

Shiro: (Stops looks at Shizen with a sigh).  One day you will find your own Shizen and you maybe then you may stop teasing my husband.

Shizen: (Sighs looking down a little but pushes the feeling of the past away).  One can only hope.

Shiro: (Gives a sympathetic look hugging Shizen for a second).  Now come one then I am sure you will just focus on the good out of things.

Shizen: (Can’t help but laugh perking up a bit).  Well, there is a big one I wouldn’t trade for the world.

Shiro: (Laughs as well and nods).  We have that very much in common now at least.

Nagi: Well, I believe everything will work out for you Shizen but let’s not trend on this topic.  Let’s get to riding!  (Chief snorts a bit as he stands sturdily ready to get moving).

Shiro: I think your noble steed agrees.  (Smiles as she lifts a hand for Nagi to help her up).

Shizen: (Grins as she adjusts the bridle on Chief making sure everything is secure).  I am sure you will learn how to work with one another throughout the travel back, but I will get going now.  I have a little girl to go back to after all.

Shiro: (Laughs and smiles looking over to Nagi).  And I am sure Nagi looks forward to showing our four this surprise, so we will be leaving as well.

Nagi: (He climbs up first like normal than helps pull up his beautiful wife).  Well, I’m sure they will more than excited maybe Chikara will come and play as well but Shizen give my regards to Adara.  I will see you tomorrow for the council meeting.

Shizen: (Grins more backing up with a wave).  I will see you there but now I suggest holding on tight.  (She looks at Chief with a small nod he already starting off at a trot with big heavy hoofs hitting the ground with a loud powerful clop).

Nagi: (He is taken off guard at first but then regains his composer quickly).  Whoa there don’t try to throw me off when my wife is here alright.

Shiro: (Laughs holding on as well to Nagi from behind).  Perhaps he just wants to impress me.

Nagi: Maybe he does… But we will have to continue this competition than another time Chief.

Shiro: (Laughs as Chief neighs his retort waving back at Shizen one more time before kissing Nagi on the cheek).

Shizen: (Waves back for as long as she can see them saying more to herself).  You picked a great companion Chief.  I couldn’t think of a better one honestly.

The memory fades into present day with Shizen staring at Chief near the statue with a sad smile to him. She pets his head a bit sympathetically with a sigh.

Shizen: You really were a great companion for him….  I could be honest too saying I miss them as well and have a small sliver of hope….  I know you miss him and knew you would be a loyal steed.  (Everyone can see Chief is less energetic in his motions bowing his head a bit).

Chazz: (He sees the sadness in chief’s eye as though he lost a brother in a way).  You must of have been very close to have such sadness linger in your eyes… Though I can’t blame you overall.

Jennifer: (Sees the same thing as well as hearing it).  To wait here for him so long… It must be so hard.

Kura: (Frowns looking at Chief then down a bit).  I… I think we all miss them… I know it has been hard too….

Orion: Well… We all do but we can’t keep dreading on it for they gave another chance let us not waste it.

Mizuko: (Nods in agreement with a sympathetic expression).  It is a great bond and loyalty that is formed, that I can tell greatly.

Shizen: (Sighs as she thinks getting an idea seeing the food and water filled regularly on the statue knowing who makes those stops.  She calmly places her forehead onto Chief’s to give him something to put thought into).  I agree with that loyalty as well even those hopes….  I know I cannot convince you not to wait like this… But perhaps while waiting give someone else a chance to ride you and have that loyalty too….   I see Kishi cares a lot about you….  He is a lot like his father too so maybe pass down that chance to him and look after him in the meantime….  I am sure that would make Nagi happier than anything….  Just give it some thought is all I ask.

Tori: Yeah… Big brother Kishi… He was the only person to get the closest, so it makes sense… I would think Nagi would want that too.

Kura: I agree… Uncle Kishi always tried looking after us and being strong since he was the oldest…  A lot like Kuro did with Yami and I…. To be strong and try to keep everyone together especially after everything happen….  It was hard on all of us but it’s nice to think maybe one day that goal of all of us together again could happen again….  I hope we can all do that again….  Even you Chief.

Shizen: (Looks at both Tori and Kura then sighs again moving her head away from Chief and patting his head).  Just give it some thought….

Rowen: (As the group is pondering the moment with Chief, they begin to hear bells coming from the main building).  Well, it looks like it’s time… We must be off soon….  (He doesn’t want to say it but the group must go on).

Shizen: (Nods with a serious expression and sigh).  We gave him many things to think over so l think we should leave him to that anyways.

Jennifer: (Pets Chief’s head one more time with a small smile).  We can come back outside afterwards and tell Kishi for you.

Kairi: (Has a cheerful smile to try and bring up everyone’s mood).  It will be alright Chief we can also see Yami now too!  Finally!

Kura: (Nods looking at the building with a small smile and hint of worry in her eyes).

Hiki: (She pets him alongside Tori).  We will make sure everyone can be together again… We have too.

Chazz: (He smiles as this moment has helped the grow gain resolve to keep going past the sad memories).  Well let’s be off than.

Orion: (He grins but looks towards the building).  Alright… Let’s go.

Tori: (Everyone nods and starts to walk towards the building saying Farwell to Chief.  Tori is the last behind the group feeling a nudge at his back Silver perking up from his shoulder again.  Chief nudges his snout on Tori’s back feeling an odd sting from it but still looks back to see Chief sniffing and nipping his shirt a bit there).  Ow, ow too hard buddy but what’s up?  (He says as he pets Chief).

Chief simply just nudges and sniffs Tori’s back a bit oddly snorting a bit lifting his head and ears perked up in interest.  Tori laughs petting Chiefs head once more before having to leave promising to come back out.
