Chapter 11

Chazz: (Wakes up and gets ready to get Jennifer and Kairi but as he gets up, he sees a figure outside his window walking.  He cannot tell who it is but once he notices the figure he starts to head outside.  He does not telling Hiki or Tori just saying that he is getting some fresh air).

Yami: (Continues to walk outside processing the events of yesterday in his own way having given up on sleeping a long time ago since he has trouble staying asleep.  He just wanders with his hands in his pockets deep in thought).

Chazz: (Shows up standing in front of Yami with his arms folded).  Yami what are you doing so early in the morning?

Yami: (Stops walking looking surprised but then relaxes seeing it is someone he knows).  Huh oh hey umm just getting some fresh air, I guess.

Chazz: (Gives a questioning look).  Are you really?  I heard what happened yesterday.

Yami: … About what… Oh what happened at training.  (Looks down a little).

Chazz: well that of course, Hiki and Tori’s safety is important to me just as Madam Jennifer’s and Kairi’s safety is as well.  I was talking about the person you ran into yesterday.

Yami: Oh yeah, I guess that to… What about it?

Chazz: Well, it seems to be bothering you heavily.

Yami: Nah I’m fine, whoever it was I’ll pay them back for it.

Chazz: I see that is good… Now I have a question for you.

Yami: Yeah what?

Chazz: Why do you absorb dark energy?

Yami: (Looks surprised but answers though is not happy with the subject clearly.  He tries to just shrug about it though).  Umm I don’t know just an ability I guess… My dad had it, so I have it.

Chazz: I see maybe it would have something to do with those eyes.

Yami: (Changes his eyes to black and red).  Oh yeah… These are my dad’s eyes… I hide them a lot though so no one would know who I really am I guess… What about them?

Chazz: (A black and white seal appears in his hands with a scary and angry look on his face).  Oh, nothing just let me seal them away for a little bit since they are the reason Hiki was hurt… But you can still make your case.

Yami: What, no!  I need it or else I just become weak.  Look I’m sorry I hurt her, but I didn’t mean to I-I-!  (Backs up from Chazz looking a little scared).

Chazz: You must finish your thoughts Yami… Also remember that I told you before that if you cause bad things to happen, I would be there but go on I will listen to what you have to say.  (Steps closer to Yami as he talks).

Yami: (Backs up more).  I-I don’t mean for bad things to happen… It’s just everywhere I go, either someone dies or loses everything… I guess I’m a bad luck charm, I mean look at what I did to your spirits, I mean I hurt Hiki and almost killed Tori… Maybe I’m just bad luck in general.  (Looks down).

Chazz: Do you wish to be given punishment then?

Yami: (Glares at Chazz as he raises his voice).  Fine whatever, beat me up for all I care but please don’t seal me away!

Chazz: I didn’t say that.  I am just going to seal your eyes away.

Yami: There my actual eyes, I use my energy to hide it… And why just my eye, do they scare you… They scare a lot of people….  (Looks downwards seeming to have a lot of hurt behind that statement).

Chazz: They could attract unneeded attention.

Yami: Then I’ll just hide then when around new people.  I mean I hid them from you guys this long right and sealing my eyes means to seal my energy and I need that.

Chazz: Well first of all if you say so then I will believe it, but you must be handled in some way.

Yami: Fine, any ideas, I can tell you’re still mad so if were fighting you can just throw me into a tree like Tori did.

Chazz: (Appear behind Yami with a sword having notices a person watching in the shadows and seeing if they would react).

Yami: (Inches away from the sword feeling uncomfortable and a little scared his hands slowly going to unsheathe his knife but stops once he touches the knife not unsheathing it yet as he looks for what to say but has trouble as he stutters a little since he’s a little scared though he tries to act tough and hide it clearly).  So, umm.

Chazz: (His sword turns into a reaper scythe with a seal on it pointed at Yami).  I apologize for my actions.

Yami: W-what are you doing?

Chazz: The scythe is going to cut your energy off for the day.

Yami: No, I need it… I-I don’t want to disappear.  (Tries to struggle to get away but the scythe makes it difficult seeming to have a will to live about the subject).

Chazz: (His scythe goes closer to Yami almost touching him).

Yami: Fine… I thought maybe I was starting to get accepted here… Who am I fooling?  (Looks down with a small laugh to himself thinking “who am I kidding how would this time be any different”).

Chazz: Huh…?  (Looks surprised to what just happened seeing the energy stream and no sign of it returning on its own to retain Yami’s living being).

????: (The one watching jumps into the shadows more and very quickly).

Chazz: … Yami I am mad at you, but I would not do something to kill you.  It would upset everyone, and I cannot have that but at the same time it is your life to hold, and I should not try to take that away.

Yami: … You want to know something… When Tori and I started out fight… I was completely ready for my life to end… I planned to throw my knife as we charged and run into his blade so he could have his revenge… I’m tired for hiding.  I’m tired of running and that was why… now I’m not so sure….  (Looks down as he thinks since that is what has been on his mind as he was walking).

Chazz: Well, any coward can throw away their life but at the same time the strong can break past their breaking point.

Yami: … I’m no coward… Just tired of being turned away and hated… I heard you spent your childhood on the streets right… Well I did the same… And probably will be doing the same when you guys are gone… Guess I just got tired of being alone but also being turned away but even more making connections with people who just fade away….  (Looks down).  … Look I’ll try not to absorb energy around people especially dark spirits but it’s hard for me to control so no promises.

Chazz: (Knocks Yami’s head).  And that’s all I ever wanted to hear was that you would try, and I know the feeling of trying to connect with people but being too scared to do it.  Once you have them you treasure them.

Yami: (Grabs his head but then laughs a little).  I guess.  (Realizes something).  You scared me for nothing then, you just wanted to know if I would try to hold back!  (Gives a grumpy look).  Could have just told me.

Chazz: Then what fun would that be?

Yami: … Not cool dude.  (Looks grumpier as he crosses his arms).

Chazz: (Laughs).  Well, I had to get the words out of you somehow now, didn’t I?

Yami: Well, whatever, I’m going the head back.  Yes, I have a lot on my mind, but I’ll deal with it.  Next time I’m going to fight back if you pull that again.

Chazz: (Smiles).  Well, I look forward to it and I will not hold back.

Yami: Fine see you later then.  (Starts to walk back to Kairi’s room but still looking like he has a bit on his mind but a little less now).

Chazz: (Goes and sits by a nearby tree and retrieves his scythe he had thrown).

????: (The one watching jumps away from the place she was watching near where Chazz had thrown the scythe and runs quickly away, almost as quickly as Hiki but night quite).

Chazz: Well, looks like I have another guest to entertain.

????: (The one who was watching continues to run going into a shadow form as she heads to her destination quickly as possible but makes a few detours to make sure she is not followed and then hopping into Kairi’s room before Yami is near enough to see her).

Chazz: Hmm very interesting….  (As he says that Hiki call him back to his room to help her get dressed and he discouragingly agrees to Hiki’s request.  He gets back to the room help Hiki get ready and Tori up as he heads out to let Jennifer and Kairi know it is time for breakfast).

Jennifer: (Sleeps soundly, her arm a lot better than before, able to stiffly move it in her cast as Shizen still looks out the window to pass the time).

Chazz: (Arrives at Jennifer’s door with Hiki and Tori with breakfast I hand knocking on the door).

Shizen: Come in, she is fast asleep though.

Chazz: Really now, it’s time to eat.

Hiki: (Says happily).  Want me to wake her up master?

Tori: (Looks half asleep with his white hair messy from a pillow still).

Shizen: (Laughs).  I suppose but be careful of her arm, though she can move it today which is good.

Hiki: I will.  (Goes by Jennifer sitting on the edge of the bed and begins to tickle her).

Jennifer: (Starts to move around being very ticklish and waking up).  Wah what!  (Starts to laugh a lot).

Hiki: Time to get up or else I will tickle you more.

Jennifer: (Laughs more as I try to get away).  N-no stop!

Hiki: Tickle, tickle maybe I will tickle someplace else.

Jennifer: No please!  (Laughs uncontrollably as she tries to get away reaching out to Shizen).  Help me!

Shizen: I would but a nap sounds good right about now.

Hiki: Will master help you hmm?

Chazz: (Starts to blush and look away).

Jennifer: What no and Shizen you traitor!  (Says in-between laughs).

Shizen: (Sighs).  Hiki.  (Places her hand on Hiki’s foot).  Please stop for a moment to let the child catch her breath then you may continue.

Jennifer: What no stop for good!  (Continues to laugh).

Hiki: Fine.  (Stops tickling Jennifer).

Jennifer: (As she catches her breath).  Can’t you just wake me up normally.

Hiki: No.

Jennifer: Well, I guess I need to get you back for that!  (Suddenly tackles Hiki and tickles her).

Hiki: (Starts to laugh heavily).

Jennifer: (Continues to tickle Hiki’s side).  Sorry but this is payback.

Hiki: (Starts to tickle Jennifer again).

Jennifer: (Starts to laugh uncontrollably as she continues to tickle Hiki).

Hiki: (Tickles Jennifer more and more and she laughs).

Jennifer: Stop, I can’t stop laughing!  (Says in-between laughs but continues to tickle Hiki).

Hiki: (Stops as Chazz pulls her away).

Jennifer: (Falls back onto her bed being out of breath from the tickle fight).

Chazz: Now that, that event is over let me get your food ready.

Jennifer: (Once able to catch her breath she stands getting out of bed).  Very well, I will get changed while you do that.  Are we training today like usual?  My arm is better though a little stiff.  (Takes her arm out of the sling to prove she is alright as she stretches it out a little but wincing a little if she moves it the wrong way).

Chazz: Only a little bit of training for you today.

Jennifer: Deal, well I will be right out then oh and good morning to you too Tori though you seem like you would rather sleep.  (Closes the closet door and starts to change into a shirt and pants and her usual training gear).

Tori: Yeah, sorry I’m still kind of sleepy.

Jennifer: It is alright I think getting tickled helps wake someone up.  You could ask Hiki to tickle you.  (Laughs a little bit).

Hiki: (Catches her breath as she readies her hands).

Tori: No, no I’m alright now… I don’t want to be attacked so early.

Jennifer: Are you sure?  It worked for me.

Tori: I am sure, just looking at that kind of woke me up.

Jennifer: I see.  (Comes out wearing a simple light green shirt with brown pants and her bow and quiver on her good shoulder as she puts on her wrist guards, a bandage still on her arm but the sling taken off).

Chazz: Yes, but first can you eat?

Jennifer: We should get Kairi, and everyone can have breakfast together.  I can go with you to go get her.

Chazz: As you wish madam.

Hiki: I want to see if I can tickle Kairi too.  (She says with a scheming face).

Tori: But let’s go see how Yami and Kura are doing too.

Jennifer: Alright and Kairi is ticklish on her sides and stomach mostly.

Shizen: I will go with as well.  (Looks at Chazz talking quietly as everyone starts to walk).  Try not to scare Yami again, you may be attacked.

Chazz: I am aware, but I wanted to see his reaction and get his apology.

Shizen: I see.  (As everyone is walking to Kairi’s room, they start to hear yelling as if two were fighting).

Jennifer: Is that… Yami?

Chazz: I think so.

Tori: (Starts to look concerned as they get closer hearing Kura and Yami).

Yami: Stop looking after me saying if I’m alight or acting like you know me at all!  Sure, your name is like my sisters but that gives you no right to try and take her place!

Kura: … I’m not trying to I-.

Yami: Don’t give me that!  You treat me like a little kid that doesn’t know any better!  I don’t need someone trying to protect me and looking at me like that!

Kura: … Yami.

Yami: Just… I’ll go before I take everyone’s energy more… Just stop treating me like I can’t take care of myself… I have done it and made it this far.

Kairi: Yami wait….

Jennifer: (Looks shocked from hearing Yami everyone else having the same reaction and they decide to head in seeing Yami is gone probably through the open window and Kairi sitting on her bed looking very upset as Jennifer rushes to her side and Kura sitting looking shocked a little hurt emotionally).

Hiki: (Goes over by Kura).  Kura what happened.

Chazz: (Stand by the doorway).

Kura: (Looks like she is struggling to keep her composure and hiding something with that as well).  … Oh… He will be fine, but I must have said something that made him upset… I was only looking out for him….

Kairi: I hope Yami will be alright… He was very upset….  (Is teary eyed as Jennifer comforts her).

Tori: We could tell by the tone of his voice.  (Goes by the window).  I’ll go after him to see what’s up.

Hiki: (Gives Kura a hug).

Kura: (Looks at Chazz with a little bit of a glare seeing something protective about her).  You did not need to be so hard on him.  He cannot control himself, so it is not his fault.

Hiki and Tori: (Looks back at Chazz looking confused by what Kura said).

Chazz: (Avoids Hiki and Tori’s gaze).  True as it may be, and I am aware of that.

Kura: Then stop making him apologies for something he cannot help.  (Walks over to Chazz with a serious and a little bit of a scary look).

Hiki: (Begins to look concerned).

Chazz: Then what should I do then… I cannot understand what he felt before but he must realize there are connections that must be protected and he cannot accept that now.

Kura: So to protect your spirits and connections with them you make Yami feel not accepted and alone like he has been for most of his life!  (Grabs Chazz’s shoulder pushing him against the wall a little bit with a scary look.  Something about her changes in personality seeming to not hide behind a type of mask anymore).  Does that sound right to you?

Chazz: No it does not because don’t you think I already accepted him by telling him or were you to busy watching from the trees Miss Kura?  (Grab Kura’s arm and pulls it off of himself).  Do not even begin to judge my actions without knowing my intent or me Miss Kura and who said I did not like him.  Yes I have my concerns about him but that is no reason to do that to a spirit let alone a human.

Hiki: (Tries to break in-between Chazz and Kura by trying to get in the middle of them as Tori sits on the windowsill).

Kura: (Narrows her eyes at Chazz).  I may not know you well, but I will protect Yami no matter what so do not give him a hard time… He’s been through enough.

Chazz: Don’t you think I know that but sometimes in order for someone to gain a resolve, they must be faced with struggles or, so I was told by my teacher time and time again and with fear and loneliness at my doorstep.

Kura: (Becomes angry as she yells at Chazz a quick flash of red going into her eyes).  He’s not alone, I’m still here for him!  (Her eyes widen to what she just said as she back up a few steps).

Chazz: (Opens his eyes in shock everyone else doing the same).  If that is true at least you had someone with you.  All I was just thrown away like yesterday’s garbage worried if I would make it to the next day with barely anyone to rely on besides myself.  So do not say I do not know the feeling of being alone.  You did not experience it like I had.

Kura: (Tries to go back to normal servant’s attitude but it fails as tear come into the eyes she now hides).  I may not… But Yami has… I’m sorry… I need to go.  (Instantly zooms past Chazz and through the door).

Kairi: (Looks shocked along with Jennifer but is still teary eyed as she is held by Jennifer).

Hiki: (With tears in her eyes).  M-master….

Chazz: (Has tears as well as he looks away from everyone).  Hiki go after her if you would not mind.

Hiki: (Shakes her head yes as she goes after Kura).

Jennifer: Tori since you already were going to go to Yami I guess you can go.   I will handle things here.

Shizen: … Well, I will help here as well.

Tori: (Already has left through the window as Jennifer had told him to).

Chazz: (Still stand by the doorway).

Jennifer: … Chazz are you alright?

Kairi: Why is everyone so upset… Why can’t everyone smile again together….  (Looks down sadly).

Chazz: … Miss Kairi in order to smile sometimes tears must be shed.

Kairi: And sometimes being held and comforted helps the smile come back….

Jennifer: (Walks up to Chazz and hugs him not letting go).  I am sorry… Sorry you felt alone when so young and for so long….

Chazz: You have no need to say sorry madam it is not like it is your fault.

Jennifer: I know but there are people who care about you now….  You do not have to be alone ever again… I hope Yami realizes the same thing….

Kairi: But why was Kura so upset?  I do not understand it.

Chazz: I think we will see why after she calms down.

Jennifer: I have never seen her like that.  She usually is quiet and to herself.

Kairi: Me either….

Shizen: I have seen her like that once but only for a few seconds.

Jennifer: Really when?

Shizen: When Tori and Yami had fought she had this protective look to her.

Chazz: I see.

Shizen: We will see what happens after they calm down.  I know that Hiki and Tori will help them.

Chazz: Yes….

Kairi: I am sorry Kura hurt your feelings.

Jennifer: Everything will be alright once everyone calms down, I know it will.

Chazz: She did not hurt my feelings at all.

Jennifer: Well, it seemed like it.  I mean she was upset at something but maybe she took those feelings out on you like she has been hiding her feelings unfilled they were too much for her.

Shizen: Question is why hold back her emotions.

Chazz: I can guess she is closely related to Yami and just wanted to watch over him maybe.

Jennifer: Maybe but wouldn’t Yami know her then.

Shizen: So much to be answered, I guess we will find out soon enough.  (Looks out of the window giving the impression she may know what all of this could be about possibly, but it is not certain yet).

Kairi: I hope so too.

 

Meanwhile on the roof of the mansion.

Yami: (Is sitting on the roof as he looks up at the sky as he tries to calm down.  Is deep in thought taking a little bit of darkness from the things around him but doesn’t notice).

Tori: (Goes over and sits beside Yami).

Yami: (Continues to look up at the sky knowing Tori is there but still is deep in thought so doesn’t say anything).

Tori: So, things were interesting after you left.

Yami: … Yeah, I can imagine… What are you doing here are you going to scold me too or tell me I’m just a kid or something like that?

Tori: No, I don’t need to scold you.

Yami: yeah… then why are you here?

Tori: to see why you ran off.

Yami: Just because… Not like I was thinking about stuff or anything….

Tori: Uh huh sure you don’t.

Yami: Oh, come on after everything that happened yesterday it’s hard not to think….  (Has not looked at Tori yet still looking at the sky).

Tori: Fair enough, it’s been on my mind as well.

Yami: … Why did you stop… When we were fighting… You were ready to strike me down… But then inches away from me… You stopped your blade… Why?

Tori: Because I almost forgot you are part of this whole group of crazy people.

Yami: I was ready to die… Tired of fighting just to live when I had already lost everything… I planned to throw my knife down as soon as you charged at me… Does that make me a coward?

Tori: I’m not sure, it shouldn’t because you wanted to get me into it but you couldn’t bring yourself to do that.

Yami: Yeah, I guess… Just wanted to let go of who I was, to stop the fight… To stop running from who I am and face it… And who I’m the son of….

Tori: Then stop and just be yourself.  If anything happens the people here will be there for you, especially Kairi.

Yami: I can tell… Truth is I never looked up to my dad.  I tried to behave and control but never could… He really was obsessed with power I guess like everyone kept saying… And nothing else… I don’t want to be like him….

Tori: Yami… You aren’t like him.

Yami: My ability is from him… When people came over to visit that were dark spirits, I was even worse at controlling my power… I think I killed a few that way as a toddler whenever I had a tantrum.

Tori: Well, answer me this, what matters more that defines you, is it your past or now?

Yami: … Isn’t it both…? That’s how people see me anyways… By what I’ve done, who I’m related to… I didn’t mean to kill those people… I just… Absorbed their life away… I almost did that to you….  (Looks down and away).

Tori: Well, what do you think matters most to everyone here?

Yami: What?  (Looks at Tori it being clear that he has been crying).

Tori: Do you think your past matters to everyone here or just you as a person now?

Yami: … I guess you have a point… I remember when you said that those people who left you still have your memories of them… Yeah it was mostly bad especially when they left but my brother and sister had some good times too… I looked up to them and not my dad… They were different than him….  (Looks into the distance as he goes through his memories of his older brother and sister and smiles a little bit).

Tori: (His eyes widen as he gets his own memories to reflect on but only whispers the name and thought out to himself first).  … Kuro… Then try to cherish those memories most of all because you never know when you might meet them again.

Yami: Nah their gone… It’s nice to think about the good times I had with them… Sure they were a little weird and if someone picked on me or beat me up… Not that I was weak or anything, my sister would scare the crap out of them….  (Laughs to himself).  She was kind but a little scary if you did something wrong.

Tori: (Laughs).  I guess you can say the same for me and Hiki, we are like siblings though we shouldn’t be, there will always be some to be there for me… And that can make all the difference.

Yami: I guess so… If I didn’t have them, I would be a lot different of a person now oh and as for my brother he was kind to though we fought a lot… Not seriously just for fun… He always won though but both ended up always smiling and laughing and then I would ask for a rematch… Maybe if I just think of those time, I’ll feel better and move on from my past… It’s hard though….

Tori: (Smiles at Yami).  Well, if you ever want to fight I got you covered on that.

Yami: Alright you’re on and I’ll try not to absorb your energy like last time… Yeah, I’m done killing people with it… I refuse to but if I have to throw you in one of those barrier things again I will but that means I win the fight, right?

Tori: Well, who said I would be down for the count, and you haven’t been absorbing energy since I started talking to you.

Yami: Yeah… I guess it calmed me down and I’ll be waiting for that rematch.

Tori: So, if you’re calm you don’t take energy?

Yami: Yeah, then I can control it but I still can… That’s why I went out last night… To absorb darkness but not affect anyone here.

Tori: (Thinks to himself).  What if when you start taking unneeded energy you start to think of your memories with your brother and sister.

Yami: Seems like a plan… But I still will go out at night to absorb darkness… I still need to its just that I try to do that away from everyone.

Tori: Alright if you are ok with it then stop being so moody and down.

Yami: Ok deal and it’s not that I’m ok with it, it’s just that it keeps my energy up…. Don’t tell anyone that.

Tori: Hmm maybe I will maybe I won’t.

Yami: (Punches Tori in the shoulder with a small laugh).  Hey not cool, not like I’m telling your weakness to everyone am I?

Tori: (Laughs).  Yes, yes whatever you say.

Yami: (Laughs as well and then looks up at the sky again and smiles).  Yeah I think I’m done running and fighting… But that doesn’t mean I’m done living.

Tori: Good now let’s head back before Kairi cries a river.

Yami: Yeah I guess I owe her an apology for having my break down like that, I probably upset her.

Tori: Just a bit but expect huge hugs when we get back.

Yami: Yeah probably.  (Sighs and stands up stretching his arms and then offers his hand to help Tori up but also a fist bump).  Come on and I’ll be holding you to that rematch.

Tori: (Stands on his own but connects his fist with Yami’s).  Better bring you’re A game then.

Yami: Bring it!  (Laughs and starts to walk back with Tori).

 

Meanwhile Kura sits under a tree on the other side of the mansion as she holds her legs close to her with her head down).

Hiki: (Walk closer to Kura).

Kura: (Doesn’t speak not paying attention to her surroundings so much).

Hiki: Kura… Are you alright?

Kura: (Looks at Hiki being surprised then goes back to her normal servant’s attitude but it is clear that she has been crying).  Yes Miss Hiki, I am fine.

Hiki: can you stop acting like that.

Kura: Like what?

Hiki: This way of speaking or attitude you have now that hides your real feelings.

Kura: I am not hiding who I really am… I only had a moment of unneeded emotion, I will apologies to your master once I return.

Hiki: Then what did you mean when you said Yami had you?

Kura: … I am teamed with him since I am Kairi’s spirit so I will look after him.  (it is clear she is not saying something or hiding something behind a lie).

Hiki: Are you sure Kura that there aren’t any other feelings there?

Kura: (Looks down as she lies).  There is not.

Hiki: Kura… Why are you doing this to yourself?

Kura: (Continues to look down not giving an answer).

Hiki: It’s just… Just… Silly.

Kura: I… Can’t tell anyone… So please stop asking who I really am… I don’t want everyone to know the truth yet… What if it hurts Yami more?

Hiki: Why can’t you tell anyone?  Did someone make you or are you scared of the results?

Kura: … I went into hiding because someone saved me when I was close to death… And told me to hide who I am no matter what… I must tell no one… I don’t want Yami to have to go through that emotion again.

Hiki: Is it Yami’s sister?  (After she thinks to herself for a moment she comes up with that conclusion).

Kura: No, she is dead… I know so… I knew her and Yami well….

Hiki: Well then who was she before she died or did, she fake her death in order to protect Yami?

Kura: (Her eyes widen for a second but goes back to normal).  She did not fake her death; she would never leave Yami alone… she sacrificed herself to protect him just like our older brother had.

Hiki: Well, that doesn’t answer my question.

Kura: Well, I’m not sure but she had black hair with red highlights umm red eyes umm I didn’t know her as well as her family did… I was only a friend.

Hiki: (Doesn’t believe most of what Kura says clearly being half-truths and lies).  Well, she does sound pretty.

Kura: I guess so, a few times I saw Yami being picked on and she would kick whoever picked on him so far you couldn’t see them anymore.  (Smiles a little bit to herself).

Hiki: I think Yami treasures all of those memories.

Kura: … I hope so… He’s been alone for so long his sister and especially his brother fought off many hunting them but one day there were just too many… I couldn’t do anything.  (Looks down sadly).

Hiki: (Questions the “I” Kura used in her head).  So, you couldn’t do anything at all?

Kura: No nothing… Can you keep this between us…? Please don’t tell everyone.

Hiki: Why of course Kura.

Kura: Is that a promise… I am trusting you to not tell anyone no matter what….  (Looks at Hiki seriously).

Hiki: (Shakes her head yes and holds Kura’s hands).

Kura: (Looks down at her and Hiki’s hands looking unsure of whether to say the truth or not).  You’re the first person to take an interest in my book writing and took the time to get to know me outside of family… So, I guess I can trust you….

Hiki: (Pets Kura’s head).  I know, I’m sorry that I couldn’t be there for you earlier but what matters to me is that you are not tearing yourself apart.

Kura: (Looks down and away).  It is alright, you have not known me long… And you still do not… Most of what I told you since I met you… Is a lie.

Hiki: A lie now, from when I met you here, I could tell you were not being honest.

Kura: Everything I lied about… Besides the liking to read and write….

Hiki: (Sits next to Kura).  Well, I guess it is story time then.

Kura: (Looks down then her servants attitude changes to something very opposite of it as she sits back her posture becoming less caring of being proper).  The truth is I never cared of that doing as I’m told and being a servant crap.

Hiki: Wow that’s a big difference than normal!

Kura: … I told you that everything except liking to read was a lie, didn’t I?  (Takes out a comb and looks at it hesitant on something but shrugs off the uncertainty).

Hiki: (Laughs a little).  True, true you did.

Kura: Well, here is who I really am, if you could wait a moment, I will show you.  (Takes her black with blue highlights hair down from its ponytail and starts to comb through it).

Hiki: (Waits for Kura looking at her with curiosity).

Kura: (As Kura combs through her hair, the blue highlights changing color turning red instead of its normal blue).

Hiki: Ohh cute hair Kura.

Kura: Thanks.  (Once she’s done, she puts the comb away looking at Hiki with a smile but then remembers something).  Oh, one more moment.  (Looks down putting her hands over her eyes).

Hiki: (Has an excited expression as she looks at Kura).

Kura: (Looks up then hesitantly removes her hand from her eyes and pauses for a few seconds before she opens them, her eyes now red instead of blue).

Hiki: Kura… you look so cute.

Kura: (Laughs).  Somehow, I expected a different reaction but thanks.

Hiki: Why expect that and what were you expecting?

Kura: I don’t know, you would guess who I was?

Hiki: All I know is that Kura is Kura, do I need to guess?

Kura: (Laughs more).  Well let’s start again.  Hi, I’m Kura, nice to meet you.  I grew up with an older and younger brother but now just have a younger brother who’s very clueless and has a little bit of a temper.  I love reading and was not very popular with spirits my age before all of this happened but didn’t mind much.  Most found me scary if they got on my bad side.

Hiki: (Laughs and hold out her hand to shake Kura’s hand happily).  Well hello Kura, my name is Hiki and I also do enjoy reading and right now I care about my master heavily and also my partner who is like a brother to me, Tori and I’m the daughter of one of the light spirit guardians.  I hope we can get along well.

Kura: I hope so too but you promise not to say anything right?

Hiki: Of course!  It’s a girl’s secret and we never tell our secrets ever now do we?

Kura: Good… Yeah but obviously I am Yami’s sister he thinks is dead… He’s a little nonobservant I mean I didn’t change my name just my hair and eyes, but he’s always been that way.

Hiki: (Laughs).  Yes, I think boys are harder to make notice or see these types of things.

Kura: … I didn’t mean to leave him… I was badly injured and captured when I was protecting him… And with my last amount of strength, I sent him away so he would end the same way… It was my only choice….  (Looks down as she remembers).

Hiki: (Pets Kura’s head with a small smile).  You did what you thought was best so you could keep your brother safe.  You have nothing to be sad about because he is here with you now.

Kura: I know… But I left him to fend for himself and he was very young… I suppose it couldn’t be helped… I mean once captured it was not all fun and games for me either.

Hiki: (Hugs Kura).  But what matters now is that you can see him and see that he is fine.  True he may be hard to handle but your love for him is very strong so don’t think back to the past just focus on the here and now.

Kura: I know, I may tell him one day but let me tell him on my own when I am ready.

Hiki: Alright but don’t expect to stop crying when you tell him.

Kura: (Nods her head).  Oh, I guess you would like to know why his ability is so hard to handle….  It’s not his fault at all.

Hiki: Well, I’m all ears, tell me what’s happening.

Kura: It actually used to be a lot worse… Even as a baby he started crying and visiting dark spirits there he would either drain their energy until they could no longer stay and ran out of energy… Or they would die.

Hiki: … That doesn’t exactly make me feel better.

Kura: I understand but it’s not his fault… I was giving my energy to him the first time he fought Tori so it would seem that it affected me, but it doesn’t as much as others… I’ve been secretly protecting him through all his battles I guess….

Hiki: I see then did you get really mad when I was teasing him.  (Holds out her arms like she is measuring something long or large with her arms to show the level of how mad she could have been).

Kura: … No not as much but when he gets hurt that’s when I feel like breaking someone’s arm… What are you doing?

Hiki: Measuring your anger with my arms.

Kura: Ok then… Anyways his power cannot be sealed away, well it can but I won’t let it be… That’s why I snapped at your master.

Hiki: I don’t get it, master trying to seal him… It doesn’t make sense since Tori and I’s powers were not being used.  We should be able to tell when, but we didn’t feel anything besides a slight aura release.

Kura: I guess he was just scaring Yami then, but I saw a black and white seal but then he threw his weapon at me since I was watching in the shadows.

Hiki: I am sorry about that, but master wouldn’t have tried talking to him if he did actually try.

Kura: Well as you can imagine I am very protective of Yami, so I snapped and broke down.  I will say sorry when I get back.

Hiki: I think master will as well since he is usually a very nice guy.

Kura: Alright and as for why Yami cannot have his ability sealed away well… He needs it.

Hiki: Then just explain it to master because we are all in the dark and I don’t think anyone was planning too.

Kura: Alright but yes it gives Yami strength and power but take away that ability… He cannot regain his own energy… At all.

Hiki: (Sits facing Kura as she listens to her).

Kura: I know because our grandpa tried to seal it away and it worked but then after a couple of hours, he started to become weaker, so it had to be lifted since he was almost out of energy… He doesn’t want to but has to… If not….  (Is unable to finish that statement).

Hiki: It’s fine, we won’t let that happen plus master is better at breaking seals then making them.

Kura: I learned to break seals a bit but never was good at making them until I read more books.  I can make very small ones, but I was always interested in that.

Hiki: Maybe Tori could teach you.

Kura: Sounds good but yes is there anything you would like to know… Like with why my dad having gone power crazy and almost destroyed everything… I’m sorry he caused Tori that much pain.

Hiki: No but I shouldn’t be the person to ask.

Kura: Well, if he finds out I will explain all that I know to him.

Hiki: And I’m sure he will appreciate it.

Kura: But yes, thank you for listening.  I’m not very proper or passive.  I love reading about romance but have no interest in finding a guy of my own at this point… So, thank you for getting to know who I am.

Hiki: (Smiles).  Of course, I will always be here when you need to talk.

Kura: Thank you, you are a great friend… And is it just me or do Tori and Kairi seem adorable together… It’s not just me who thinks this right?

Hiki: No not just you.

Kura: Good because I have seen Kairi to cuddle with Tori whenever she can.  I even have a few books written about them of possible moments they would have and other people as well… Sorry if that seems creepy.

Hiki: Well, I hope you will let me read them.

Kura: If you want to, I think there are a few of you and your master you could barrow as well but also of Jennifer and him since I can’t decide which pair is better.  It’s hard to choose.  Here I can show you where I keep all of these if you want to see them.

Hiki: (Becomes excited and starts to jump around a little bit where she is sitting).

Kura: (Laughs).  Are you alright?

Hiki: Yes, I’m fine, just happy I can read more.

Kura: Of course, and maybe you are excited to read about you and your master hmm.  (Laughs more).

Hiki: (Laughs as well).  Just a bit.

Kura: I have enough to fill every category of short story at least once.  Here I always have a few with me.  (Takes out a couple of small books).

Hiki: (Smiles taking the offered books).  Very nice.

Kura: Here are the ones you would seem excited for.  (Hands Hiki a few books but then looks hesitant on one taking it back).  … Maybe not that one.

Hiki: Oh, umm well thank you anyways.  (Takes the books looking at them).

Kura: I hope you like them but if you don’t like them let me know and also let me know what you like to read for future reading.

Hiki: I will but I think we should head back now before we are here all day talking about books though I have not much of a problem with that.

Kura: I agree oh also my eyes.  They do the same trick as Yami only I am just much better at hiding it.  (She blinks, her eyes turning black and red but then after a few seconds blinks again her eyes going back to red with white and then stands).

Hiki: Cool.  (Stands up as well).

Kura: (Smiles then sighs as she puts her hand on her eyes for a moment then drops her head.  She opens her eyes that are now blue again).  Glad you think so.

Hiki: (Amiles and begins to walk with Kura).

Kura: (As she changes her hair highlights black to blue).  So, I have heard that you are a fast runner.

Hiki: Why, do you want to race?

Kura: I have always liked how light spirits abilities worked and have tried making those abilities work for darkness which is where Kairi has learned her speed.  (Smirks).  Who knows maybe I can match that speed?

Hiki: Well then be my guest Kura.

Kura: Only one way to find out.  (Starts to walk faster passing Hiki as they walk).

Hiki: (Speeds up as well).

Kura: (Smirks looking a little competitive as she begins to run at a normal speed with no powers used yet).  I must warn you that I can be competitive and do not like losing.

Hiki: Who said I was not either.  (Speeds up more to pass Kura).

Kura: Then let’s begin.  (Instantly picks up speed zooming past Hiki with a streak of shadow as she runs).

Hiki: (Runs as fast as Kura maybe a little faster but with a streak of light behind her).

Kura: (Continues smirks as she runs able to keep up with Hiki’s pace).

Hiki: (Is able to pass Kura).

Kura: (Scowls at being passed but is able to stay right behind Hiki).

Hiki: (Stays at the same speed right in front of Kura).

Kura: (As Hiki and her near the mansion she looks determined as she picks up speed a little bit to be at the same speed as Hiki but doesn’t pass her).

Hiki: (Gets to the mansion first with a burst of light).

Kura: (Arrives right behind her at the entrance of the mansion looking a little out of breath as she pouts then smirks).  dammit I need to up my game a bit so I can pass you.

Hiki: Well, it’s going to take more than that, that’s for sure.

Kura: Well, I hope to be more of a challenge next time.

Hiki: I look forward to it.

Kura: Fine but for now I have to go back to acting like a servant again so excuse me if I said anything offensive Miss Hiki.  (As she smirks and bows sarcastically).

Hiki: Same to you Miss Kura, may we have a good time like this again sometime.

Kura: I look forward to it.  (Walks the rest of the way to Kairi’s room with Hiki).

 

Meanwhile back in Kairi’s room everyone waits for Kura and Yami to come back as Kairi as Jennifer and Chazz eat breakfast and Shizen sits near them and relaxes.

Jennifer: I hope everything is going alright with Kura and Yami.

Kairi: They both were very upset….  I wonder if I can help them somehow.

Chazz: I think it’s alright to trust Hiki and Tori to handle those two but maybe there is something you can do.

Kairi: Like what?

Chazz: Hmm maybe something only you can do.

Kairi: (Tilts her head in confusion).  Like hugs, if that’s it I will give them a bunch of those.

Jennifer: (Pats Kairi’s head).  Your hugs make anyone feel better.

Kairi: Thank you.

Chazz: Then do that and speak your true feelings to them because that might make them smile even more.

Kairi: Of course!

Yami: (Hops into the room from the window).

Kairi: Yami are you alright?  (Runs towards Yami and hugs him getting a little teary eyed and Yami looking surprised).

Tori: (Comes in from the window after Yami does).  Well then, someone missed you and was worried.

Yami: Yeah, I guess so, don’t worry I’m better now.

Kairi: But I am still going to give you as many hugs as I can….  (Does not let go of Yami but he smiles slightly at her).

Chazz: (Looks at Yami).  Now Yami do you understand what I told you earlier.

Tori: (Looks at Yami as well as he sits by Chazz on the floor).

Yami: Yeah, I think so, I just have some problems I guess… I need to say sorry to Kura… I kind of took it out on her.

Chazz: Well, that’s good.

Tori: Well, it shouldn’t take much longer for her to get back here.

Yami: Yeah, I guess and I promise I will try to not absorb so much energy.  It helps if I don’t get frustrated and angry.

Chazz: Just be honest to yourself and stop worrying about the past and then you will do fine.  No need to make a promise.

Yami: Fine.

Kura: (Walks in through the door with Hiki).  Lady Kairi I am sorry if I upset you.  For a moment I was not in my right mind set.

Kairi: (Goes to hug Kura instantly).  It is alright as long as you feel better.

Hiki: (Sits next to Tori and leans on his shoulder).  Remember when we didn’t get along at all.

Tori: How could I forget, you kept messing with me.

Hiki: Did I ever stop?

Tori: You have a point.

Chazz: (Smiles at hearing Hiki and Tori, Jennifer and Kairi smiling as well).

Kura: (Looks at Chazz).  I must apologize to you as well.  I jumped to conclusions and thought you had hurt Yami.  I could not hear well from where I was watching but that is no excuse for my actions.

Chazz: No, you are fine since you only were concerned for his safety.

Kura: I am glad we can come to an understanding then.  (Turns and walks towards Yami as Kairi watches them both carefully).

Yami: Yeah… Sorry I snapped at you… You just reminded me of someone who was very important to me in that moment… Guess it messed with my head.

Kura: (Smiles and bows to Yami only Hiki able to tell what Kura truly feels).  I am sorry as well; I do not wish for you to be upset.

Kairi: (Pushes Yami into Kura making them hug both Kura and Yami looking surprised).

Kura: (Catches Yami as he is pushed).

Hiki: (is shocked by the hug as they are so close together).

Kura: (Hides her feelings though all she wants is to hold Yami and tell him everything but instead makes sure he has his footing and then let’s go of him hesitantly).  Are you alright?

Yami: Yeah, no biggy.

Chazz: Well then how is everyone now?

Hiki: All good.

Tori: Same for me.

Yami: Yeah.

Kura: (Nods).

Kairi: Good so now what?

Jennifer: I think training, but I can bring snacks from breakfast.

Chazz: (Nods and walks out the door).

Jennifer: Alright I guess, let’s go.

Kairi: And no more sadness.

Kura: Yes, lady Kairi.

Yami: Does that mean I get a rematch?  (He says as he walks with everyone to head outside).

Tori: Maybe, maybe.

Yami: Well, I need a rematch from both of you, so I’ll fight both of you at once.

Kura: (Sighs).  You never learn.

Yami: Hey!

Hiki: (Laughs).  He never does now, does he?

Yami: Hey not cool.  (Pouts grumpily).

Kairi: It is funny though.

Yami: (Continues to pout).

Shizen: Child I want you to take an easy today.  Yes, you can move your arm but it will be stiff so you cannot rapidly fire your bow.

Jennifer: I know I’ll just work on other things.  I kept the bandages on it so I wouldn’t move it to where it hurts.

Chazz: Well, if you do, I’ll just have to escort you back to your room.

Hiki: (Smirks at Jennifer as if saying “you want the don’t you”).

Jennifer: (Blushes seeing Hiki’s look).  Fine but do not expect me to just sit and watch while you train.  I need to train; I missed a day so I cannot afford to miss another.

Chazz: As you wish milady.

Jennifer: Also, I think I have improved at controlling plants.  I can show you when we go out.

Kairi: Ooh and can you help me talk to animals.

Jennifer: I can translate back to you what they are saying but that is it.

Hiki: Ohh me too?

Jennifer: Sure, I can translate for you anytime, just ask.  (As she says this everyone makes it outside).

Yami: (Stretches his arms out and yawns).

Maru: (Watches everyone outside not able to hear what everyone says but can see them clearly with Luna by his side watching from a nearby window).  W-who are those other p-people?

Kairi: I think I will work on my magic or maybe combat.  I am kind of bad at it.  (Gets her knife out of her bag she had brought with her).

Jennifer: Just practice basic moves then.  I do not think you are balanced with the basics.

Kairi: Alright.

Hiki: I want to spare with Kura.  (As she leans on Kura’s back).

Kura: (Smiles slightly).  As you wish but could you give me a moment to see if Kairi needs help.  (Walks over to check on Kairi’s stance and if she is holding the dagger correctly).

Jennifer: (Looks towards the forest and smiles as a pack of wolves come out and come near her).

Hiki: Ohh cute animals though they usually are seen as scary.

Tori: (Sits by a tree as Chazz stands next to Jennifer).

Jennifer: No, their not that scary.  They are my friends and they just became attached to me and whenever I go out to the forest, I make time to talk to them.  I guess you could say that they are as close as family to me.  (She pets the wolves and they eagerly come up to her some standing others sitting and some very young wolf pups hesitantly go over to everyone to sniff them).

Kairi: Aww cute puppies.  (There is a sparkle in her eyes as she looks at the wolf pups waddle to them looking about a few weeks old).

Jennifer: (The adult wolves look protective, but she tells them that it is alright and that they are friendly).

Hiki: (Sits on her legs as a wolf pup get closer the pup being light grey with white a white stomach and paws as she holds out her hand the wolf pup sniffing her hand and then tilts its head and licks her as two more pups go over to Chazz and Tori).  Daw you’re so cute.

Tori: (Holds out his hand to the wolf pup that has dark grey fur with lighter grey fur on his stomach and legs but also a white mark on his head.  The pup sniffs him then just sleeps on him looking tired from his journey to him).

Chazz: (Holds out his hand to the last wolf pup that ignores his hand and just tackles him the pup’s fur being a medium grey with a white stomach and paws).

Hiki: (The wolf pup by her continues to lick her giving her dog kisses).

Jennifer: (Laughs).  It looks like they like you.

Chazz: I am… Not sure if tackling me is affection.

Hiki: Well, that is how I was attracted to you.  (She blushes with a smile).

Jennifer: That one is a little wild and careful he is a bitter.

Chazz: (As Jennifer says this, the wolf pup bites his pant leg but not his actual leg just his pants and shoe).

Tori: (The wolf pup by him continues to sleep in his lap).

Kairi: Daw I want one.

Yami: No thanks I don’t need one slobbering me.

Chazz: I am still not sure about this one but at least he is having fun.

Tori: (Leans against the tree as he falls asleep with the wolf pup in his lap as it sleeps).

Jennifer: (Laughs more).  Well, I think Tori has the perfect pup for him.

Kairi: (Goes over to Hiki and pets the light grey wolf pup by her).  So cute.

Kura: Indeed.  (Just watches everyone with a smile).

Hiki: (Continues to pet the wolf pup with a smile).

Chazz: (Tries to deal with the wolf pup that is biting him playfully).

Jennifer: (Looks at Chazz and bursts into more laughter).  Do you need some help there?  I think that one is winning against you.  (As she says this one of the larger wolves walks over to Chazz and picks up the wolf pup separating them but then the pup runs over to Tori and bites his shoe as the other one in his lap continues to sleep with Kairi laughing).

Tori: (Yells and falls to his side).  Oww!

Jennifer: (Laughs even more).  I think he likes you as well.

Hiki: (The other one that was by her starts to walk wobbly to Tori curiously to what happened as Kairi pouts to it leaving).

Yami: (Laughs at Tori greatly).

Hiki: (Picks the puppy up as she lies on the ground with the pup on top of her and the pup starts to lick her face).

Tori: (As the one now by him continues to chew on his shoe as the other gets comfortable again and sleeps).

Jennifer: Sorry he woke you up.

Yami: (Still laughs a little bit with a grin).  Was funny though.

Tori: Shush at least I can sleep again.

Hiki: (Begins to laugh from all of the licks).

Jennifer: See not so scary right?

Kairi: (Goes over and pets one of the larger wolves).

Hiki: (Says in-between laughs).  Not… At all.

Tori: (The one chewing on his shoe stops and settles down by him as well as the others walk over to him thinking of resting as well and sleeps there in the shade all around him).

Hiki: (One of the largest wolves lays beside Hiki and another stands by Chazz and stares at him).

Kairi: Daw what are they saying?

Jennifer: They had decided that everyone here is harmless to sum it all up.

Hiki: (Plays with the puppy and the large wolf).

Chazz: (Watches everyone with a smile).

Jennifer: Well, I guess everyone is enjoying themselves but weren’t we going to train… Oh well it’s a slow day, I guess.  I think I may work with plants a little bit though, but I am glad you like my friends.  I have more but this pack has known me the longest.

Chazz: It is always nice to have days like this occasionally where everyone can have fun.

Jennifer: It is kind of is, oh and I learned a cool trick as I was recovering.

Shizen: You mean making sculptures, moving animals and people with nature?

Jennifer: Yes, it is kind of fun.  I even reenacted things from my memory and things like that.  I mean it is not very good for combat but it’s fun to do.

Chazz: What did you remake if I may ask milady?

Jennifer: Just memories mostly, it makes me smile looking back.  I can show you.

Chazz: Well, if you do not mind I will be glad to see.

Jennifer: (Sits down and thinks).  Hmm what should I make.  Hmm maybe just different memories and things as I think of it.

Chazz: (Sits beside Jennifer and waits).

Jennifer: (Puts her hands on the ground and a few seconds later in front of them vines dart upwards forming figures that slowly become more detailed as Kairi, Kura and Yami start to watch wondering what’s happening).

Hiki: (Sits up and watches being interested as she sits by Tori who continues to sleep).

As the nature figures become more detailed can tell its Jennifer but much younger.  She has a very small girl behind her that holds a stuffed rabbit and with her thumb in her mouth as they run around the mansion as they spy on servants and explore).

Kairi: Who is that…?  It looks like a mini version of me.

Chazz: It is you lady Kairi.

Kairi: Wow I am so small.

Jennifer: I think you were about 4 and I think I was 8 maybe.  (Smiles as she watches).

Flashback: (Jennifer and Kairi see some servants rushing to the main hall and the entrance and they follow behind the servants staying out of sight with Kairi behind Jennifer).

Chazz: I… I know this moment….

Flashback: (They make it to the entrance hall seeing their mother at the door with the head butler beside her.  Jennifer tries to get a better look being curious as Kairi looks around her as she holds her stuffed rabbit close to her).

Jennifer: (Has a big smile as she watches).

Kairi: … I don’t remember this well.

Chazz: (Begins to get a big smile but also becomes teary eyed).

Flashback: (Jennifer tries to get Kairi to stay put then runs over to her parents trying to peak over her parents then looks around her mom and the head butler seeing a boy around her age in worn out clothes and a lot taller than her since Jennifer is short for her age.  She looks curiously at the boy who looks similar to Chazz and then the boy looks at Jennifer and she freaks out and hides behind the head butler as he steps forward a little and looks like he is talking).

Chazz: Jennifer….

Hiki: (Wonders what is going on heavily as she sees Jennifer and Chazz smiling).

Jennifer: Yes….  (Her eyes widen in shock as she realizes something).  … You called me by my name….

Flashback: (Jennifer continues to peak around to see Chazz but every time Chazz looks at her she hides as Kairi runs over to peek around Jennifer and she freaks out a little making Kairi go behind her as she tries to see what’s going on).

Chazz: (Shakes out of his daze).  Oh nothing madam just a slip of the tongue.

Jennifer: (frowns slightly).  It is fine, I do not mind at all….  I prefer it actually.

Flashback: (The head butler brings Chazz in and he leads Chazz away but Jennifer looks like she is told not to follow.  She looks upset looking back until Chazz is out of view the plant memory fading into another memory.  As the memory changes they can see Jennifer running through the halls with a training bow and out into the empty yard where looking about the same age as the last memory as she looks around to see if anyone is watching).

Hiki: Hey there’s the bow I saw earlier.

Jennifer: What bow do you mean?

Hiki: The one in the closet

Chazz: You always did try to learn how to use the bow.

Jennifer: Oh, right yes that was my first bow… I have come a long way….

Flashback: (Jennifer starts practicing with the bow and learning how to use it on her own but then the head butler yells at her having found her.  Jennifer looks like she is begging and the head butler sighs and starts teaching her how to wield the bow as Chazz watches being slightly behind the head butler.  Jennifer looks at him and he looks down not saying a word.  It looks like she’s being told to focus as her memory fades into another where Jennifer is in the forest looking a little lost as wolves appear and surround her.  She cries on a fallen tree about being lost. The wolves huddle around her to warm her first.  They start to guide her as Jennifer looks amazed and even more so that she seems to understand them and talk as if regular people).

Jennifer: When I first saw those wolves, they are the first animals I could hear.

Chazz: I remember, I spent hours trying to find you.

Jennifer: I wanted to go into the forest.  I wondered what was there… But I wandered too far and had become lost.

Flashback: (The wolves guide Jennifer then they see the head butler since he had been looking for her in a panic.  The wolves run away, and she tells him about what had happened.  The head butler has this worried surprised and unexpecting look on his face but also a small smile listening to Jennifer as he takes a seat on a stone seeming to care a great deal for the young girl).

Jennifer: Oh I told him about how I talked with the wolves.

Chazz: I got the same reaction when I showed him Hikitori.

Shizen: You may not remember but you had met me soon after that happened.

Jennifer: (Looks surprised).  I did?

Shizen: Yes though your memory was sealed away along with me for a time… Here you can know now.  (Sits next to Jennifer connecting plants to both their hands as the memory changes).

Flashback: (Jennifer is about 14 and training with the head butler.  It looks like he is talking in the forest and Jennifer sits like in meditation or when Chazz had helped her bring out Shizen.  Jennifer starts to look like she is getting uncomfortable and then Shizen appears next to her as she looks like she is talking to the head butler.  Jennifer stands up opening her eyes that are red looking like she is having a headache as she grabs her head as Shizen tries to calm her down).

Jennifer: (Frowns as she watches looking troubled by the memory).

Chazz: Well then….

Hiki: Those eyes seem like something….

Flashback: (Through the plant memory everyone can see that Jennifer loses control and starts to attack Shizen and the head butler who dodges.  They try to calm Jennifer down with all of the plants around them trying to grab them until finally she loses consciousness and falls both Shizen and the head butler rushing to her side and talking to each other about what must be done.  Shizen puts a seal on Jennifer’s mind and the head butler sealing Shizen away once she nods and then the memory fades away).

Jennifer: (Frowns as she looks down a little bit).  Is that why he left?

Chazz: I don’t think so… Rowen would not do that.

Hiki: (Walks over and sits by Jennifer to comfort her).

Jennifer: … I hope not… Well, when he visits, he can see how much I have improved.

Shizen: And he will be proud.

Flashback: (The memory changes once Shizen removes her hand to Jennifer running into Chazz being one of the first time they had talked to each other.  Jennifer tries to talk with Chazz, but he seems very quiet as a very young Kairi peeks around Jennifer with a stuffed rabbit and her thumb in her mouth).

Kairi: Ooh wait I think I remember this!

In the flashback.

Chazz: H-hello or is its good morning that I say to y-you Jen- I mean madam.

Jennifer: (Laughs a little).  Umm hello… Are you a butler in training?  It’s nice to meet you, I’m Jennifer.

Kairi: (Says nothing as she peeks around Jennifer holding her stuffed bunny close to her as she continues to suck on her thumb).

Chazz: Umm yes milady I’m training r-right now.  (Fixes his posture as he stands straight but looks a little awkward and uneasy).

Jennifer: Well maybe one day you can be my butler… You seem nice.  (Blushes a little bit).

Kairi: (Peeks more and is now fully visible as she just stares).

Chazz: (Waves at the young Kairi).

Kairi: (Walks up to Chazz).

Jennifer: Kairi wait!  (Tries to pull Kairi back but cannot already being by Chazz).

Kairi: (Continues to stare at Chazz and starts poking his cheek).

Chazz: (Starts to laugh).  No, no it’s fine.

Kairi: (Gives Chazz the stuffed bunny she was holding and then runs behind Jennifer again).

Jennifer: (Laughs).  Well, this is my sister Kairi.  She doesn’t talk much but she does things like that to people she likes.

Chazz: I am aware, the head butler gave me a run down.

Jennifer: Good well you seem like a good person, so I hope to see you around more.  Who knows you may become one of our butlers?

Kairi: (Takes her thumb out of her mouth but only to say one word).  … Yours….  (Pushes Jennifer into Chazz and stares).

Jennifer: (Blushes as she trips and falls onto Chazz).  Wah!

Chazz: Mi-milady are you alright?

Jennifer: Umm fine umm… I have to go!  (Starts to walk quickly away feeling flustered).

Kairi: (Follows Jennifer but first stops to stare at Chazz again).

Chazz: (Still is on the floor).  Umm yes lady Kairi?

Kairi: (Pokes Chazz’s cheek and then runs away as Jennifer looks back at them with a smile and then bows to Chazz picking up Kairi and walking away as Kairi still looks back at him).

Chazz: (Waves goodbye as he says).  What was that all about?

 

The memory ends and fades away with the plants falling away.

Jennifer: (Has a big smile).  I think that is enough of that for now.

Kairi: (Looks a little teary eyed).  I remember that.

Chazz: Then why are you teary eyed madam?

Kairi: Because that is the first time, I tried to get you two to hug and kiss.

Jennifer: (Blushes falling back a little in shock and flusterness).  K-Kairi!

Hiki: (Blushes heavily as well since she was still in Chazz’s mind at the time).

Chazz: (Starts to cough not expecting Kairi’s response).

Jennifer: T-that is enough of that.  Umm we should train before it gets to late umm.

Shizen: (Laughs a little at everyone’s reactions).

Chazz: Umm yes, we should get going.

Jennifer: Yes, I will just work on my own.

Kairi: Daw most of the wolves are cuddling with Tori.

Tori: (The wolves are cuddling with him in the shade of the tree lying all around him with two of the wolf pups in his lap).

Hiki: Why am I not surprised that Tori is still sleeping through all of this.

Kairi: (Pouts).  But he missed so much.

Tori: … Shush it….

Kairi: hey you sleep talk too.

Kura: I think he is not fully asleep lady Kairi.

Kairi: Oh, it looks comfortable with all of those wolves around him.

Chazz: maybe he is trying to fall back to sleep.

Hiki: (watches Tori as she sits next to Chazz).

Kairi: What are you thinking Hiki?

Hiki: I’m just watching everyone rest together.  It looks nice and makes me feel a bit tired as well.

Kairi: It kind of does but I think I will work on magic.

Kura: I will help you lady Kairi.

Hiki: (Joins the talk with Kairi and Kura to talk about the training in magic and how to improve).

Chazz: (Just sits down by a nearby tree and watches everyone as a large wolf walk up to him as Jennifer tries to tell the big wolf that it’s alright and he is good, but the wolf looks directly at Chazz and into his eyes).

Jennifer: Oh umm… He is trying to see if you are a good person in his territory… He is the one who stepped in thinking I was in danger when we were fighting in the woods so you could learn what I could do.

Chazz: Well, how should I show him I am a good person?

Jennifer: Well, if you look him directly in the eyes he will either take it that you are respecting him or he may take it as a challenge and think you are trying to take his pack and become alpha since he is the alpha.  You could look away or down and he will think of that as if you are saying he is the dominate male here and leave it at that.

Chazz: I always do like a challenge.  (Looks into the wolf’s eyes as the wolf stares directly at him not even blinking).

Jennifer: Umm I am not sure umm.

Chazz: (Continues the stare at the wolf and the wolf snaps at him, its mouth a inch or two away from his face).

Jennifer: You should stop….

Chazz: (Continues to stare and the wolf starts to growl with its ears back).

Jennifer: Alright stop.  (Goes towards and turns the wolf towards her looking directly at the wolf as she blows on his nose).  That’s enough, he will not hurt anyone.

Chazz: Well then….

Jennifer: (The wolf puts its ears back and snaps at her a little.  She looks serious and after about a few moments the wolf looks away a little bit but then tackles her and she instantly changing animals to a wolf and stares at the wolf again as she stands).

Chazz: (Watches being interested in what’s happening).

Jennifer: (Her and the alpha parental leader wolf starts to circle him growling a little at her).

Shizen: (Watches as well).  She could easily just command the wolf to back down, but she doesn’t like to.

Chazz: I know that, but I am also interested in what will happen.

Shizen: As long as she is careful of her arm.

Jennifer: (The alpha wolf pounces at her and she pounces back as if starting a way of sparring).

Chazz: (Continues to watch from sitting on a tree branch to stay out of the way).

Hiki: (Meanwhile she helps Kairi with learning her magic).

Kairi: (Focuses on the ground and a small rock form and rolls over a little).  I did it!  (As Kairi says this the rock falls back and stops its shaking).  Aww.

Hiki: Well, you are progressing well.

Kairi: But when I look away it disappears still.

Hiki: Well because right now you must keep your focus.

Kairi: Alright ooh if I can make other elements like earth appear can I make light appear.  So far it only works with earth though.

Kura: That may be a little hard since you are a dark element holder.

Hiki: It’s possible but not recommended.

Kairi: I will get used to my other things I have learned then, though I do think I have learned the speed stuff well.  (Instantly runs to a tree and back very quickly).

Maru: (Says to Luna from the window).  S-she runs fast like y-you do Luna.

Luna: Yes, she can hmm….

Kura: Very good lady Kairi but try to pick up your feet more as you run.  You were dragging your feet across the ground a little which will slow you down.

Kairi: Oh, I will try!  (Zooms to where she was and to the tree but goes to fast for her to control and runs into the tree).

Kura: (Rushes to her and sits Kairi up in her arms looking concerned).  Are you alright lady Kairi?

Kairi: I… Am fine….  (Looks a little dizzy as she lies there).

Hiki: (Goes by Kairi as well).  I think that was a little too fast.

Kura: Perhaps work at a speed you can control better.

Kairi: Alright….  (Still is dizzy from the impact).

Kura: And perhaps we should work on something else.

Hiki: Yes, I will help you with speed later.

Kairi: I will do better next time.

Jennifer: (Continues to spar with the wolf and she pushes the wolf back a bit even though she is almost half the size of the other wolf).

Kairi: … Is that sis?

Hiki: I think so since master is over there in a tree watching again.  (Points to Chazz who is in a tree).

Kairi: I hope she’s alright.

Kura: Her element is nature.  I believe lady Jennifer can take care of herself.

Jennifer: (She lunges at the wolf, but the wolf grabs her front leg that still is healing, and she yelps a little in pain.  The wolf backs away instantly then go over to her looking concerned the at her front leg since she is in a wolf form).

Chazz: (Gives an angry look clenching his fist as he watches).

Jennifer: (Stands but with her front leg up a little looking like she is talking to the wolf as Shizen watches and listens to them).

Chazz: (Walks to Shizen).  What is going on here?

Shizen: The wolf was not aware of her injury when he grabbed her and is asking how it happened.  At first, he suspected you but she is explaining all that has happened.

Chazz: … If there is no problem, then I do not have to interfere.

Shizen: There is no need, I am in the wolf’s mind so I can easily make him back off or step in myself.  (Turns into a giant grey wolf just like she had used too, much bigger than the large wolf in front of Jennifer.  She goes to sit more just behind yet beside of Jennifer in her own wolf form).  And that will be something he will not want.

Chazz: I can believe that very much.  Thank you Shizen but I must be able to handle madam myself.

Shizen: She is alright though everyone has calmed down.  (Goes back to her true human form).

Jennifer: (Nods to the wolf and grabs her clothes and goes behind a tree as another wolf that is a little smaller than the other stands by Chazz’s side looking at him).

Chazz: I would ask what it is but it would not work if I could not hear your answer now.

Shizen: She is apologizing for her mate’s behavior since she is the alpha female and saying that he can jump to conclusions easily and says sorry for his actions.

Chazz: Ohh alright thank you Shizen.  (Laughs for a second).  No need to worry, us guys tend to act like that when someone precious to us is in trouble.

Shizen: Very well.  (Talks to the wolf but forgets she is not talking in her mind).  … No, she is not his mate… Now I am not translating that.

Chazz: … Well then, I shall leave then.

Shizen: I will see how far Kairi has come on her training.  (Gets up to go over to Kairi and sees how she is doing the female wolf following her as the alpha male just walks away as Jennifer gets away from the tree being fully dress now as she redoes her bandages).

Hiki: (Still helps Kairi with her magic).

Shizen: How is everything going?

Kura: She is doing well at making earth appear but not others it would seem

Kairi: (Pouts).  I do not know why though.

Hiki: (Thinks to herself as she plays with holy fire in her hand making it move one finger to the other).

Kairi: Whoa cool.

Shizen: And what are you thinking?

Hiki: Maybe we could mix the two together.

Kairi: (Gives a confused look).  Mix what?

Hiki: Mix earth and air or fire and earth.  Or you could mix earth with your darkness since it seems to be a secondary element you have if you had not gotten dark spirits and had earth instead.  For now, it’s dormant but that is common for humans I heard.

Kairi: Oh, I can try.  (Shakes off the confusion and focuses on the ground again and after a moment a darker rock starts to roll as if encased in darkness but that is it as Jennifer works on making plant life grow to where she wants it to nearby).

Hiki: Now just focus on a nearby rock and moving it where you want it to go.

Kairi: (Carefully turns to look at the rock so that the darkness does not go out and brings more darkness as a ball near the rock as she tries to get the rock to mix with it and strengthen and it slowly does after a moment).

Hiki: Just maintain the elements and focus.

Kairi: (Focuses the best she can on the stone as she tries not to blink).

Kura: Having focus does not mean you have to not blink.  You may relax a little lady Kairi.

Hiki: Just think of the properties of earth, a starter and darkness the supply but just supply the stone with your energy to keep its strength but don’t focus too much.  It is a difficult balance.

Kairi: (Nods and relaxes slightly but does not look away from the stone).

Shizen: She is a fast learner.

Kura: It is because lady Kairi is open to listening to us.

Hiki: Just a bit.

Kairi: (The rock starts to shake then falls making it turn to dust and disperse making her look surprised).  What!  I did not mean for that to happen… Oops.

Hiki: True but it did last longer than it usually does so you are getting the hang of it.

Kairi: Yay next time I will do even better.

Shizen: How are you doing on your barriers as well?

Kairi: I think that is what I find easiest.  It is combat stuff that is difficult.

Hiki: So, you do better with support things.

Kairi: I guess so but what if I have to fight?

Kura: You have time to learn, you will not be in a fight yourself and if you are in danger Yami and I will protect you.

Yami: (Is on the tree branch Tori is under as he looks up at the sky and relaxes glancing over briefly hearing his name).

Hiki: No need to rush for anything.

Kairi: Alright but one day I will be able to protect everyone.

Hiki: You will be that shield as someone else is the sword, maybe Tori hmm?

Kairi: (Blushes slightly as she looks at Tori).  Maybe… As long as he is awake enough.

Shizen: (Laughs then turns towards the alpha female wolf who is beside her as if talking to her).

Hiki: He more than likely will be when he needs too.

Kairi: Well then, I will do whatever I can to help.  (Gives a determined look).

Shizen: Could you show me how well you can make a barrier or how strong you can make it so far?

Kairi: Oh, where should I put it or who do I put it around?

Hiki: Hmm maybe around Tori.

Kairi: Is that alright?  Should I ask him, and he is asleep too.

Hiki: Maybe not hmm anyone else you have in mind, or I can make something to contain.

Kairi: No that is fine.  I am sure he would not mind.  (Walks over to where Tori lies with wolves surrounding him).  Hmm umm could you get them to move please?  (The alpha female barks and all but the pups in Tori’s lap move and go over to the female wolf)?  Whoa cool, thank you.

Hiki: Men always listen to their lady or mother.

Shizen: She is the alpha female, so she is a leader to them and probably mothered the younger ones and also the mother of the pup you were with along with the ones in Tori’s lap.  (The alpha female picks up the pup Hiki was with by the scruff of its neck and carries her near the pack).

Hiki: (Goes over to the wolf pup and pets it as the mother wolf lies right beside her pup as it begins to lick Hiki again).

Shizen: (Laughs with a grin).  My, my someone has become attached.

Hiki: I like pups like this since I don’t see them often.  Yes, you could say I got attached.

Shizen: I can tell.  (As the alpha female goes over to Tori and picks up the other two pups and brings them over one looking sleepy and the other fighting the hold a bit.  The mother wolf nips him lightly on the head then lays where she was now all three of the pups together).

Hiki: Daw that’s a cute sight.  (She watches the pups, two of them playing as the other sleeps).

Kairi: Aww the one sleeping reminds me of Tori.

Hiki: Yes, it does.

Kairi: Oh, right the barrier.  (Goes over to Tori and sits by him on her legs).  I hope he does not mind.

Hiki: Hopefully he shouldn’t.

Kairi: Well here goes nothing.  (Puts her hands over Tori and a barrier starts to form and slowly becomes darker).

Luna: (Watches from the window still with Maru).  Well then that is interesting.

Maru: L-Luna what should we do?

Luna: (Is silent as she leaves the window).

Kairi: I think that’s as strong as I can make it so far.  (The barrier makes it look like a shadow is cast over Tori and she continues focusing on the barrier giving the barrier’s energy).

Shizen: perhaps we should test the barrier.

Hiki: I can strike it.

Kairi: But what if you hit Tori?

Shizen: well, I suppose you should make this your best barrier yet.

Hiki: Don’t worry, I won’t try too anyways.

Kairi: Alright I will try.  (Darkness goes over her hands and into the barrier as she focuses.

Hiki: (Walks over to Tori and Kairi).

Kairi: (Nods as she focuses with determination).

Hiki: (Strikes the barrier and the barrier flexes order the hit making a loud sound especially for the inside of the barrier but stays unbroken).  Hmm well at least it isn’t broken.

Kairi: That sounded loud though, I hope Tori is alright.

Tori: What, what… (Falls back to sleep somehow looking startled for a brief second before).

Kairi: (Giggles).  Wow you can sleep well.

Hiki: Never doubted it but we need to make sure it doesn’t make that sound again.

Kairi: Alright.

Kura: I believe it almost broke but was able to stay in place.

Hiki: Yes, it is a good barrier for an actual direct hit test.

Kairi: I will do even better next time!  (Gives an even more determined look).

Hiki: I look forward to it.

Kura: I am sure sir Tori will volunteer again.

Hiki: Well, he did by sleeping by the tree.

Kairi: I guess that makes sense.

Jennifer: Good job Kairi.  (She shouts as she trains and decides to grab her bow and tries shooting it to see if she can).

Hiki: (Looks at Chazz).  Master wants to spar with me?

Chazz: (Shakes his head).  Why not.

Kura: I will continue helping lady Kairi with her barrier around Tori.

Shizen: Child do not put too much stress on your arm.

Jennifer: I know.

Chazz: (Goes off to spar with Hiki).

Kairi: (Goes to train some more but then sees a shadow near the door looking by the door curiously).  … Huh?

????: K-Kairi.

Kairi: (Her eyes widen after a second recognizing whose voice it is).  M-Maru?

Maru: (Steps out and shakes his head).

Kairi: (Quickly puts out her barrier in a panic).  Maru!

Shizen: (Watches Maru with interest).

Jennifer: (Hears Kairi looking at her and then Maru and panics a little as well).

Chazz: (Stops sparing with Hiki when they find out what is happening).

Luna: (Steps outside as well).  Well interesting people indeed.

Kairi: Luna, I umm we were just umm.  (Tries to make up an excuse but stumbles).

Jennifer: (Slowly hides her bow behind her back).

Luna: (Recreates a barrier around a nearby rock).  Well, it was a nicely shaped barrier.  I wanted to see it again.

Jennifer: A… Barrier?

Kairi: You umm have powers too?

Luna: No, no I’m the spirit.

Kairi: (Her look of panic slowly changes to a smile).  … Really… Cool I mean I guessed you were one a little bit.

Kura: how did you guess lady Kairi?

Kairi: Well, I thought that all maids close to their masters were spirits?

Jennifer: … That is not how it works.

Chazz: Not really.

Maru: (Hides behind Luna).

Kairi: Oh well umm it’s nice to see you again….  I am Kairi my spirits are Kura and Yami.  My sister is Jennifer, and her spirit is Shizen and her butler is Chazz and his spirits are Hiki and Tori.  (Bows to Maru and Kura and Shizen do so once introduced).

Hiki: (Sits beside Tori when introduced).

Chazz: (Stands by Jennifer).

Luna: No need to bow everyone though I will be honest I didn’t expect this to happen.

Maru: N-nice to meet you all again.

Kairi: (Smiles brightly).  Nice to see you too!

Jennifer: Have you been watching us?

Kairi: Oh, alright Tori, Yami wake up please.

Yami: (Still on the tree branch not really paying attention).  Huh… Leave me alone.

Tori: (Stills sleeps soundly).

Chazz: (Whispers to Kairi).  Hold off on their names for now.  We do not know her background so be careful.

Kairi: Oh, alright umm.  (Walks over to Maru and Luna).  So, tell me about yourselves then.  What kind of spirit are you or something like that?

Luna: Well, I’m a light spirit and Maru is my master.

Kairi: (Looks excited).  Oh, wow a light spirit!  I have always liked how fast they can run.

Maru: W-we saw you try to be fast.

Kairi: (Pouts).  Hey, I ran into that tree on purpose.

Jennifer: (Laughs).  Sure, you did.

Maru: (Laughs and so does Luna).

Kairi: I have not had my powers stuff long but just wait I will get even better.

Maru: (Shakes his head).  S-same for me, I h-hope we can get along.

Kairi: I hope so too.  I mean why should this change anything were still the same people as yesterday.

Maru: (Shakes his head in agreeance).

Hiki: (Sleeps next to Tori leaning on his shoulder).

Kairi: So, what abilities do you have or are you new like I am or how many years have you had your powers I mean.

Jennifer: No need to ramble.

Kairi: Oops sorry.

Maru: (Holds out his arm and Luna disappears into a fencer sword on his hand).

Kairi: (Looks amazed).  Oh, wow cool weapon I have to knives and throwing dagger.  (Brings out her two knives both being black hilts and blades with a red gem at the hilt).

Luna: (Speaks from the sword).  The only difference is that Maru doesn’t carry the weapon I have to be the weapon.

Kairi: Wow cool, you are a very pretty weapon, it is very pointy too.  (Pokes the blade a little).

Jennifer: Kairi all blades are pretty sharp so be careful and is that supposed to be a compliment to her.  (Laughs).

Maru: l learned how to fence w-when I was younger.

Kairi: Whoa I am still new to that kind of stuff hmm I think I started a week or a few weeks ago maybe.

Chazz: It was last week.

Maru: (Looks shocked).  Only a-a week?

Kairi: (Nods cheerfully but also gives a confused look).  I guess so, why is that bad?

Luna: Not it’s just surprising.

Kairi: How is it so surprising I mean I am the youngest here, well besides Yami I guess.  He is a spirit so it is like he’s around 10 or something like that.

Chazz: (Hits his forehead in secret by the tree Hiki, Tori and Yami are by listening to Kairi ramble and do exactly the opposite of what he had asked).

Hiki: (Wakes up from the tree shaking).  What… What happened?

Jennifer: (Whispers to Chazz).  Sorry she does not have a filter in her mind and is very trusting… And you expected her to keep things from people…?  She is not good at it.

Yami: (As the tree shakes it makes him fall from the tree falling onto Hiki and Tori.  He falls so that his face is in Hiki’s chest and one hand grabbing into her chest and the lower half of him landing on Tori’s lap and his legs falling onto Tori in a very painful area for men).  Gah!

Hiki: (Feels a sudden groping on her chest as she thinks “oh is that master so forward all of the sudden” but then she realizes it’s Yami a sudden blush falling down her face and she screams waking Tori).

Tori: (Pushes Yami off without anyone noticing but as he is pushing Yami off a sudden flow of pain falls upon him not realizing what is causing the pain until it was too late for him).

Yami: (Lifts his head a little dizzy from the fall as he tries to figure out what is happening still grabbed onto Hiki).

Jennifer: (Blushes a little and looks away).

Kura: (Looks unsure of how to help but secretly wants to laugh at the scene before her covering her mouth to do so subtly as Kairi looks confused on what is going on).

Shizen: (Walks overlooking a little amused and concerned).

Hiki: (Blushes more as she moves Yami’s hand slowly).

Yami: Huh…?  (Looks down at where his hand was and looks shocked knowing he’s in trouble taking his hand quickly away, but he was supporting himself with that hand and falls right where he was before scrambling to get up placing his hand on Hiki’s side and looking at her still shocked then nervously laughs).  … Oops?

Hiki: (Slaps Yami away with all of her strength as she covers her chest with her arm).

Yami: (Is pushed away and onto Tori who still has his leg on him but now all his weight is on him).  Ow what the hell, I-I didn’t mean it!

Tori: (Pushes Yami off being in a lot of pain).

Yami: (Rolls off both Hiki and Tori but not far as he lies on his back thinking “what just happened”).

Kura: (Face palms again with everyone else).

Kairi: (Quickly walks over).  Are you guys alright?

Hiki: (Still blushes heavily and hiding her face).  … I think I will be.

Yami: (Sits up grabbing his head).  Yo sorry… But thanks for cushioning my fall, I guess.  (Then looks at Tori seeing he is in great pain).  … Dude what’s wrong with you.

Tori: Just… Unforeseen events that caused me pain.

Hiki: (Looks down and returns to her sword which is on Chazz’s back).

Chazz: Hiki what is wrong?

Hiki: (Doesn’t respond).

Jennifer: (Pats the sword on Chazz’s back).  It’s alright Hiki, only girls can understand so just let her be.

Yami: Oh, come on, I’m not that heavy not like I crushed you or anything.

Tori: Just be quiet will you.

Yami: (Gives a confused look as he stands).  What’s your problem?

Shizen: How about this is talked about later there are guests here.

Yami: Huh?  (Looks at Maru with Luna in sword form).  Who the hell are you?

Kura: (Instantly is over by Yami slapping him on the back of the head).  Be polite to our guests.

Yami: (Covers the back of his head with his hand).  Hey what was that for!

Tori: (Gets himself up).  Well, I’ll be heading off nice to meet to see you two again, I’m out.   (Heads back to his sword as well).

Yami: Huh what was his problem, not like I meant to fall.  (Looks grumpy).

Shizen: (Who is by Chazz as she mumbles to herself looking a little amused still).  Probably to yell in pain.

Chazz: (Chuckles hearing Shizen).  Indeed.

Maru: (Looks confused to what is going on at the moment Luna being confused as well).

Kairi: I am sorry about that.  I told you that crazy things happen here.

Yami: (Walks over to stand by Kairi and Kura looking grumpy and tired).  So, who is this guy, do I have to fight him or something?

Kura: No, they are lady Kairi’s guests.

Yami: Oh… Sup?

Luna: Not much in manners there but hello I don’t think we had met yesterday at the party. (Speaks from the sword but comes out to her full body).  My name is Shizuna but most call me Luna.  (Points to Maru who is behind her).  And this guy behind me is master Maru.

Yami: Oh, cool but yeah I’m Yami and I wasn’t at the party.  I mean come on do you see me being a servant.

Kura: I apologize, his manners are lacking so do not take offence to it please.

Luna: No problem, I don’t mind it.

Yami: Whatever… What’s with the guy… Looks like he’s scared… Are you scared of me I mean I don’t think I’m that scary?

Kairi: Yami quiet he’s just a little shy so be nice

Yami: Just asking.

Maru: (Shakes his head a little and hides more).

Yami: Oh, come on not scary.  (Instantly turns into what he really looks like being around ten).  See do I really look scary?

Shizen: Wow showing how you look on your own, I’m impressed.

Yami: (Crosses his arms grumpily).  Shut it.

Luna: (Her eyes widen and so do Maru’s but says nothing on it).  Well, that’s a good trick.

Yami: (Looks away still seeming grumpy).  Yeah, whatever I just don’t like being looked at like just a kid.

Shizen: It’s alright, I do the same trick with my appearance.  (Walks over putting a hand on Yami’s head).

Yami: Hey let go!

Shizen: (Laughs).  Come on now, it’s not that bad.

Yami: … Whatever.

Maru and Luna: (Both laugh at the embarrassed Yami).

Jennifer: (Says to Chazz who still stands by her and walks over to everyone putting her bow on her shoulder with a smile).  They seem trustworthy to me.

Kairi: I hope you like your stay here though I think you will fit in well here.

Maru: (One of the younger wolves looking about 1 or 2 has comes over and sniffs Maru and he shakes since he becomes nervous as the wolf sniffs him).

Jennifer: It is alright he’s friendly.  Wolves are seen as scary but really, they only attack if backed into a corner or protecting its pack.

Luna: (Holds out her hand and the wolf sniffs both her and Maru as she thinks “it is attacks I can’t be held responsible to what happens to it” and the wolf continues to sniff them and licks their hands.  It then sniffs all around them again as the wolf pups start to stumble over being a week old and the sleepy on lagging behind as the alpha female walks behind them).

Maru: T-they are very cute indeed.

Luna: (Shakes her head in agreement as one of the pups’ licks Luna and Maru’s shoes as the other bites Maru’s foot and the third lagging behind finally making it and then falls asleep at his feet).

Maru: (Says playfully).  Oww do not bite me.

Jennifer: (Laughs).  I am glad they like you.

Maru: (The first wolf that came over jumps up on Maru licking his face making him fall over but starts to lick his face).

Luna: (Goes into a defensive state but realizes if she did it would come to a unneeded fight so she stops it and instead she starts petting the wolf that is licking Maru).

Maru: (Laughs).  Hey… Hey that tickles.

Jennifer: Alright that is enough, I think.  (The wolf stops licking Maru but lays on him as the pups try to climb onto Luna).  … Not quite what I meant.

Kairi: Wow they really like you.

Maru: A-animals always seemed to get along with me better.  (He smiles as he pets the wolf pups).

Luna: (Sits down on her legs and smiles at her master).

Jennifer: I can see that.  (As the alpha female sits beside them.  The wolf on top of Maru moves away as the alpha looks closely at both Maru and Luna looking into their eyes).

Maru and Luna: (Gains a questioning look on their faces).

Jennifer: She is the one in charge, so she is trying to see what kind of person you are and if you are good.  (As she says this the alpha female wolf licks both Maru and Luna and gets up to walk away her pups stumbling to follow her).

Maru: I g-guess she likes me.

Luna: M-me as well.

Jennifer: She does.

Kairi: So why did you decide to watch us.  I mean why not just come out and say hi.

Luna: We were unsure of what was going on, so we decided to just watch.

Kairi: Oh, we were just training I guess though today is a slower day than normal.

Luna: Because of the wolves?

Kairi: No, my sister got hurt 2 days ago and another got a little hurt during training yesterday so we are just taking an easy.

Jennifer: That was why I have the bandages and the sling from yesterday.

Luna: Ohh I thought it just was no motivation to train.

Chazz: (Takes notice of that comment and looks at Luna).  What do you mean by that Mis Luna?

Luna: Well, I thought that maybe all of you didn’t want to train so you just prolonged it by just getting the wolves here.

Maru: (Panics and tugs on Luna).  L-Luna that is rude.

Jennifer: It is alright but sometimes you have to relax a little since so much has happened and besides it is a little difficult to fire a bow with one arm… Well at least it grew back so I don’t have to worry about it.

Shizen: … A little too much information.

Luna: No, you I understand since you were injured but that doesn’t excuse everyone else.  Does anyone here ever take the idea of getting better seriously?

Jennifer: (Narrows her eyes at Luna).  Yes, but we do not get caught up in it.  We enjoy every day as it comes and if one is weak, we support them and help best we can.  Any other day we would be sparring and training until morning light or late at night but today we decided we should have a little fun because we have worked so hard.

Luna: Whatever you say.

Yami: (Looks annoyed and seeming to defend the group around him stepping in front of them).  Hey, don’t talk like that!  They work hard so don’t judge how we work!

Kairi: (She Jennifer and Kura look surprised by Yami’s outburst to defend them).

Luna: Well then prove it.  Show me your strength.

Maru: (Tugs on Luna again).

Yami: (Grins).  You asking for a fight?

Kairi: (Tries to pull Yami back).

Luna: Maybe I am.

Yami: (Steps forward a bit looking up at Luna).  I hope you’re a challenge then.

Kairi: Yami.  (Pulls on Yami’s sleeve).

Kura: (Looks carefully at what’s happening protectively).

Luna: I would but it’s not worth my time.

Yami: (Looks a little angry).  Hey, you calling me weak!

Kura: (Watches Yami carefully knowing how he gets her concern rising greatly).

Luna: No, I’m calling you what I told you.  I want too but I must tend to master Maru first.

Yami: Yeah, whatever you say.  I see it as you’re backing out of a fight.

Luna: (Pulls out her sword right in front of Yami’s face with a serious look).  Listen here brat!  If it wasn’t for my duty, I would be sending you back to where ever you came from or through space, whichever happens first.

Maru: (Holds Luna’s arm down).  Luna that’s enough, you are going too far!  Now leave for the moment!

Luna: (Her look of anger changes looking down at Maru and sighs with a nod).  … Yes master.  (Retracts her blade and bows to Maru and then disappears).

Kura: (Knowing the way Yami thinks she watches him carefully).

Maru: (Turns around but one of his eyes are a different color, one eye being siler and the other blue as he bows to Yami).  I am sorry for Luna’s actions and words… She has a temper… again I am very sorry.

Yami: (Instantly snaps being very upset).  Shut up, I’m not a brat she has no right to call me that!  She doesn’t know me!  (Starts taking a little bit of darkness from the things around him and everyone looking surprised and Kura knowing this type of thing happens when he is upset).

Maru: Again, I am sorry.

Chazz: (Walk towards Yami to calm him down but Maru has already begun to notice the darkness being taken away).

Yami: Whatever just stop looking down at me.  I’m not a brat.  (Looks at Maru looking very upset as he takes dark energy from the things around him but doesn’t notice Kura grabbing his shoulder bringing him backwards a little).

Chazz: (Goes by Maru).  Lord Maru, it seems he is upset at the moment so would you allow me to escort you back to your room or the dining room.

Maru: (Agrees nervously).

Yami: (Notices he’s taking energy once Chazz steps in and tries to calm himself looking away).

Kairi: Sorry Maru but we can talk again after breakfast.

Maru: Alright… Bye everyone, sorry again mister Yami.  (Waves and leaves with Chazz as Hiki and Tori staying behind).

Yami: Yeah whatever, don’t worry about it.  (Looks away from everyone).

Kairi: I’m sorry Yami….

Yami: Whatever not your fault.

Tori: Well then, I knew Luna was going to be something but nothing like that.

Hiki: Yes, she’s completely different then Maru.

Jennifer: She was a little out of line, I think.

Shizen: Very quick to judge things.

Hiki: Very bold and straight to the point.

Yami: Didn’t have to be so mean, she’s the one who brought up the challenge.  (Crosses his arms still looking a little upset but not taking energy anymore).

Kairi: Once everyone cools down it will be alright.

Hiki: Yes, yes.

Kairi: What should we do now?

Kura: You could continue training if you wish, maybe try learning a new ability.

Kairi: Ooh that sounds fun.

Yami: Yeah, I’ll join you in a minute, need to hit a tree or something then I’ll be good.

Tori: I’ll join you Yami.

Yami: Join what?  You want to spar?

Shizen: Well, you did make Tori go through a bit of pain and Hiki a little embarrassment he deserves some payback.

Yami: How, I didn’t do anything.

Tori: Sure, why not, I haven’t properly sparred yet.  I have to see if you can actually hold yourself well in a fight so let’s go Yami.

Yami: (Grins excitedly).  Sure, bring it!

Shizen: And Yami I am happy you stood up for us in your own little way.

Yami: What do you mean?

Shizen: You told Luna to not look down on us.  You were standing up for us and that shows your courage and good nature more than you know.

Yami: … I mean not really a big deal.

Hiki: No, it kind of was because most of us were shocked by what she was saying.

Yami: (Shrugs).  Sounded like she was asking for a fight.

Jennifer: She is a guest; she should not judge how things work here.

Hiki: She may be a guest but that doesn’t mean people won’t judge.

Jennifer: I know but still.  (Frowns crossing her arms).

Yami: (Shrugs again).  Didn’t think she would snap like that but hey if she wants a fight, I’ll fight her.

Kairi: Please try not to fight.

Yami: Hey she was asking for it.

Tori: Well, let’s see how the rest of today goes.  Hopefully Maru can speak some sense into her.

Kairi: I hope so, his eyes looked weird for a moment I think but he’s a nice person.  He is just a little shy… Their like opposites.

Jennifer: Pretty much.

Hiki: Sometimes opposites attract.

Kairi: I guess so.

Yami: Well, whatever, Tori we fighting or what?

Tori: Let’s go.

Yami: (Takes out both his knives with a grin).  Bring it!

Kairi: Alright but be careful.  (Walks away a little bit from them along with everyone else).

Tori: (Brings out one of his swords).

Yami: (Readies himself as he watches carefully).

Kura: (Watches a little bit as she helps Kairi learn her skills).

Hiki: (Joins Kairi in her training).

Tori: (Starts to spar with Yami).

Yami: (Clashes with Tori several times but then starts absorbing darkness so he stops and backs off for a second so he can stop taking darkness cursing to himself quietly).  … Sorry.

Tori: It is alright, at least now you realize it.

Yami: (Shrugs).  Just not angry.

Tori: Got to start from somewhere.

Yami: I had all this anger built up inside of me… Guess I’m trying to let go of it.  (Smiles to himself then readies his knives again).

Tori: Well, if you were not, I might have had to beat it out of you.

Yami: (Laughs).  Yeah right, like you could anyways.

Tori: Well, I could use the tree again.

Yami: Oh, come on, not cool dude.  (Says this then throws a throwing dagger and charges at Tori).

Tori: (Blocks the dagger and charges back at Yami).

Yami: (Ducks under the sword instantly going into his child looks and slashing at Tori’s legs making a small cut before kicking).

Tori: (Falls to the floor as he punches Yami).

Yami: (Rolls onto the ground getting up quickly but doesn’t attack making sure Tori is ok bur tries not to show the concern as much remember last time).  You good?

Tori: (Disappears and reappears behind Yami and slashing at him).

Yami: Gah!  (Jumps backwards but gets hit a little and turning towards Tori throwing a dagger that as it is thrown has a shadowy streak behind it as he smiles like enjoying himself).

Tori: (Gathers shadow blades around himself to block as he charges forward).

Yami: (Starts to absorb the darkness blades and charges at Tori).

Tori: (As the darkness blades are absorbed, they become real blades).

Yami: (Uses the strength he had gotten from the darkness blades and uses it as he slashes at Tori, his arms surrounding with darkness).  Thanks for the power.

Tori: No problem.  (He says as he attacks with two swords and overpowers Yami).

Yami: (Struggles to keep his footing and pushes back but slowly is forced back but he refuses to absorb more darkness, so he is unable to match Tori’s strength and is still pushed back).

Tori: (Pushes Yami even more in the battle of physical strength having a clear advantage).

Yami: (Struggles more and grits his teeth and closes his eyes getting frustrated.  He then opens his eyes looking determined and yells as he pushes back but a wave of dark energy comes out of him sending him flying and everyone else feeling the strong wind from it).

Kura: (Looks over surprised and concerned).

Tori: (Flies back from the impact with the wave of energy).

Yami: (Looks shocked as he tries to figure out what just happened as his knives fall from his hands feeling weak all the sudden).

Tori: (Recovers from the blast as he gets back up).

Yami: (Looks around and at Tori being a little dazed as he falls to his knees).

Kura: (Looks over worriedly wanting to rush over to Yami).

Hiki: (Pushes Kura to run to Yami).

Kura: Yami!  (Tries to hold back tears as she rushes to Yami as he falls).

Yami: (He falls into Kura’s arms, but his eyes are still open as he looks around, sound and sight blending together as if he had been close to an explosion looking distant and dazed still).

Kairi: (Runs over to Yami as well looking worried).

Tori: (Stands up fully feeling back to his normal self).  I wished I would get that too.

Hiki: (Sticks her tongue out at Tori with a smile).

Kura: (Holds Yami up).  Are you alright?

Yami: (Doesn’t answer being still dazed as his eyes droop a little being a bit pail).  … What the….  (Passes out).

Kura: (Her eyes widen as her hands darken placing her hands on Yami to check his health and for what is wrong).

Tori: (Runs over to Yami to give him some energy).

Kura: I can give him my energy and some of yours.  He’s very low and cannot gain it back so I need to work quickly.  (She says as she quickly starts giving her energy to Yami as Jennifer and Shizen come overlooking as Kairi get teary eyed).

Hiki: (Goes over to Kairi to calm her down along with Jennifer).

Tori: (Begins to give Yami his energy with Kura as he sits with them).

Kairi: W-will he be alright?

Kura: I think so, he would have run out if we did nothing, but he will be fine.

Jennifer: What was that he did?

Tori: His energy overflowing at a great rate and he tried to use is all to keep his strength up and it caused a backfire effect.

Kura: It made him release nearly all his energy at once making the energy explode.

Tori: He needs to either get some energy now or return to Kairi’s mind to rest for a while.

Kairi: Alright….  (Still cries but wipes her eyes).

Kura: I think we have given him enough for him to absorb darkness on his own when he wakes.  (As Kura says that Yami opens his eyes weakly looking a little dazed still).

Yami: Uhh I feel like someone threw a bomb at me and I covered it with my body.  (Grabs his head since he has a headache from the explosion of darkness).

Kairi: Please be alright.

Yami: Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.

Tori: Too much energy can hurt you.

Yami: Felt like I was using all my energy at once.

Kura: Please try to be careful next time….

Yami: Not like I meant to.  I was trying to not absorb energy but also push back and then that happened.

Tori: An energy reaction or struggle of doing two things at once.

Shizen: I would be careful from now on… You are not your father, but he died in something similar to that explosion… Well, it almost came to that.

Yami: (Looks down with his eyes narrowed at his hand with darkness surrounding it).  Yeah… I get it….

Shizen: Yes, he was obsessed with gathering so much power for him to hold inside himself and the energy was being pressed into one spot.  I am only telling you this, so you know what to be careful of with your abilities.

Yami: Oh… Yeah, I’ll try to be careful….

Tori: You are handling it much better than I thought you would.

Yami: Yeah, well feel a little out of it to throw a fit.

Tori: Fair enough and true.

Jennifer: Maybe Yami should have a small break from sparring.

Kura: Perhaps until you have a chance to absorb more energy.

Tori: Yeah, I could use a rest as well for a while.

Yami: What I’m fine, I can keep going.  (Sits up stiffly but stubbornly but becomes a little dizzy doing so).

Tori: No, you are not, go take a rest.

Yami: (Crosses his arms grumpily).  I’m fine.

Kura: (Chops Yami on the head making him go unconscious and sleep).  Get some rest please.

Hiki: I don’t think it is any use to tell him after he is knocked out.

Kura: If not he would have kept up his stubborn act and not doing what was needed… I think.

Hiki: (Laughs).  No, you’re probably right.

Kairi: It’s a little mean to knock him out though.

Kura: My apologies lady Kairi.

Tori: It is kind of needed sometimes.

Jennifer: If you feel like sparring more I will.  Just will take a easy more than Yami or else Chazz will scold me.

Kairi: Oh, also I learned a little about that shadow form stuff to and when will I get to spar?

Hiki: Maybe you could spar with your sister since you both need to take an easy.

Jennifer: Umm if you think you are ready.

Kairi: I do not know if I am, I mean I still do not do well at that combat stuff and do not want to hurt anyone.

Jennifer: And I do not want you getting hurt.

Shizen: Or it anyone else wants to spar with her and teach her in the process.

Hiki: I think for a starter it should be Jenny and we can fix what errors happen.

Jennifer: Kairi if you are alright with this.

Kairi: Well, this will be my first day of sparring lessons and I will do my best.

Jennifer: Alright but move into learning it slowly since you still have trouble with combat.

Hiki: Just aim to point out her mistakes and we will go from there before she spars again.

Jennifer: Right, first Kairi I want you to attack me and see how you are at that before we go into dodging and blocking and look at one skill at a time.

Kairi: Alright.  (Unsheathes her blade but drops it as she tries to unsheathe it losing her grip).  Oops sorry!

Jennifer: First you need to have a grip on your weapon as you unsheathe it.

Kairi: My bad (bends down to pick up her knife).

Tori: (Without anyone noticing he blushes being behind Kairi as he watches with everyone else but at his angle his eyes wander to look at Kairi’s bottom looking away quickly as he his himself over his head).

Kairi: (Stands back upholding her dagger).  So, I just attack?

Jennifer: Yes, but remember the moves you have practiced.

Kairi: Right.  (Readies herself and swings at Jennifer but a little clumsily as she blocks with her bow).

Jennifer: Remember to keep your balance and widen your stance.

Kairi: (Widens her stance as she swings again and then blocks being a little more stable as she concentrates on her swing taking her time to get it right as Jennifer steps back every time, so she takes a step and swings at the same time).

Hiki: (Watches Kairi to figure out where else to help her as she thinks “she is a fast learner and can adapt fine, the only problem is that she lacks the strength or ability to want to hurt someone which is understandable but that can only last for so long”).

Jennifer: (after a few moments she stops and stops Kairi) alright that’s enough, do you think you can block?

Kairi: I-I guess but what happens if I don’t block in time.

Jennifer: I will use the wooden part of the bow and I won’t swing hard.

Kairi: alright I think I can do it.

Jennifer: we will go slowly like when you were attacking but instead you will be stepping back.

Kairi: I’ll try (readies herself looking a little nervous).

Jennifer: it’s alright sis.

Kairi: I know it just hard to understand that attack stuff, I guess.

Hiki: Just aim to block where you think she is going to attack from.

Jennifer: I am going to make it as obvious as I can.

Kairi: Alright.

Jennifer: Let’s begin.  (Starts to hit with my bow slowly to get her used to it and with not much power as Kairi blocks with the knife looking a little wobbly but able to keep up with the blocks).

Kura: (Watches Kairi closely with Hiki).

Hiki: (Goes over to Kura to talk to her).  So, what do you think?

Kura: It’s not her strength.  Yes, she is new and has a lot to learn but she is learning this and especially attacking much slower then magic and barriers.

Hiki: Maybe she doesn’t want to attack someone.

Kura: I think not either, but she has good protective instincts.

Hiki: I wonder why.

Kura: I’m not sure, maybe she should be working on that instead and work from that instinct first.

Hiki: She should since it would help her very much in the long run.

Kura: Already I can see she is better at blocking, but I wonder….  (Thinks for a moment).

Hiki: Should we ask Jenny?

Kura: I want to try something, I have an idea.

Hiki: Hmm what is your idea then Kura?

Kura: I am going to try something and see what Kairi does.

Kairi: (As Jennifer swings at her the knife falls out of her grasp making Kairi’s eyes widen not having a moment to pick it up as she instinctively put her arm up to block and a barrier forms right when she does and Jennifer looks shocked to what just happened).

Hiki: (Gives a curious look at what Kura is trying to do as Tori and Shizen watch as well).

Kura: She instinctively used a barrier to block not even knowing she did.  She’s not good at using weapon at close range but what about attacking and blocking with barriers.  Her reaction time is quicker that way.

Hiki: (Looks at Kura seeing she is pressing her fingers together as she made a small barrier that made the knife fall).  I see then but it was a little help from you which allowed the reaction to happen at all.

Kura: True but it was just a test, but she has good instincts.  Perhaps if she has someone she cares about to protect or block in front of she will do better but then again it is her first day learning this and she has come a long way in a week.

Hiki: I expect great things from Kairi.  She has the ability to do quite well in a fight.

Kura: Yes, she will not be fighting on her own soon though but if this is how far she has come in a week I am interested to see what she has learned in a year but for now she is progressing well and she brings a smile to anyone’s face.

Hiki: Maybe she could take on Jenny and master at an even level.  I’m excited for that fight.

Kura: I don’t think both at the same time but if she thinks quickly with using magic, she can have the upper hand quickly and hopefully not be like Yami who rushes in without thinking.

Hiki: Of course, not at the same time but I won’t lose to Kura.  (Serious look in Hiki’s eyes which doesn’t happen that often).

Kura: Lose, what do you mean by that?

Hiki: Ohh nothing?

Kura: Very well but I am not going anywhere.

Kairi: (Uses the barrier and the knife to block making her move a little faster but drops her knife again and bends down to grab it with Tori not far behind her getting a good view of her again).

Tori: (Looks away with a slight blush as Hiki starts to bug him about it).

Kairi: (Focuses on blocking as she slowly gets better as Jennifer focuses on holding back).

Yami: (Grabs his head as he sits up and tries to figure out what is happening.

Shizen: (Smirks at Tori’s reaction deciding to tease him a bit to being ammused).  You can look, I won’t tell.

Tori: (Looks shocked and begins to stutter).  W-what are you t-talking about Shizen.

Shizen: (Laughs a little).  There’s no need to act clueless.

Tori: (Doesn’t respond as he looks down with a easily seen blush).

Shizen: (Laughs more).  It’s fine but you are fun to tease about these things.  No wonder Hiki does that to you, Chazz, and the child so often.

Hiki: (Smiles).  I only tease those who are not honest with their feelings.

Shizen: Well, this does count.  Your brother is not being honest with himself.

Hiki: Oh, I know he usually is not.  I’ll go tease him later.

Shizen: I know you will.

Yami: (Stands next to Hiki, Tori and Shizen as he grabs his head having a headache from being knocked out and seeming a bit bothered but he hides that now).  What happened?

Hiki: Oh, you needed a nap, so you fell down and knocked out.

Yami: Huh I didn’t fall down… Well, I fell on you guys before that, so I guess that counts.

Hiki: (Blushes).  Yes, it does.

Yami: … What’s your problem?

Shizen: You should apologies to them.  You grabbed Hiki in an inappropriate place and caused Tori quite a bit of pain.

Yami: (Shrugs).  I don’t see how.

Hiki: Just forget about it and let’s move on from it.

Yami: Whatever still don’t see why you screamed and slapped me.

Shizen: (Laughs).  You know so little of these things being so young.

Yami: Hey!

Hiki: You really don’t.

Yami: Fine I’m sorry so happy?  Don’t make me feel bad about that shit, I mean how many times have you grabbed other people’s chests and you didn’t freak out when Shizen grabbed you.

Shizen: That’s enough Yami.

Yami: Fine but still don’t get it.

Hiki: It’s different when girls do it….

Yami: (Just looks confused and lost).

Kura: It’s alright Miss Hiki, he didn’t mean too.

Yami: Yeah… Sorry?

Hiki: I know its fine.

Yami: Sure… What’s Kairi doing?

Hiki: Practicing sparring.

Tori: We asked Jennifer to do this since they both need to take it easy, and we can work on the things Kairi is lacking in.

Hiki: (Nods).  Right now, she just needs to work on actually attacking.

Yami: Yeah, I showed her some attacks but she didn’t seem to get it.

Kura: Well, you gave up teaching after 5 minutes.

Yami: … I’m not good at teaching, I guess.  (Crosses his arms grumpily).

Kairi: (Blocks using the barrier to swing again as she blocks, Jennifer looking surprised as she blocks quickly).

Jennifer: Nice job.

Kairi: Oh, umm thank you.

Maru: (Watches from the window again but not with Luna).

Jennifer: Try combining attacks and blocks and you will move faster and don’t worry you won’t hurt me.

Kairi: I will try….  (Continues sparring with Jennifer as she tries to mix different moves.  She then tries moving faster and absorbs dark energy from a shadow nearby like Yami but more controlled which make her improve).

Maru: Lady Kairi… Why….  (His eyes widen and then looks sad as he leaves).

Kura: Lady Kairi has good control of her power; she handles it well.

Jennifer: Good job Kairi, you’re improving well from that.

Kairi: Thank you.  (Smiles proudly).

Hiki: Maybe you could mix magic with your weapons?

Kairi: I can try.

Kura: Also, your speed, try charging from far away but not fast enough that you lose control.

Kairi: Oh, I get it, so run and swing at the same time.

Jennifer: Exactly, I am ready when you are.  (As she walks further away for her to try charging).

Kairi: Well here goes nothing.  (Readies her stance being careful to be balanced then runs fast at Jennifer and tries striking as Jennifer blocks then dodges to the side a little).

Jennifer: Not bad but try focusing on where you want to aim, you are fast though.

Kairi: Thank you….  (Is a little out of breath).

Hiki: How about we take it slow after a little break.

Jennifer: Sounds good, I think it is close to lunch.

Kairi: Yay food and I hope Maru and Luna are doing alright from before.

Jennifer: We can have lunch with them.

Kairi: Ooh can we eat outside to?

Jennifer: I do not see why not.  It is a nice day after all.

Hiki: Do you want me to fetch master?

Jennifer: If you want to and maybe if you run into Maru and Luna, you could tell them they can join if they wish.

Hiki: Yes.  (Runs off at light speed).

Kairi: Wow she is so fast.

Kura: Indeed, and Yami I suggest absorbing darkness before they arrive.  You have had what we gave you which was to keep your health up.

Yami: Nah I’m fine, I’ll manage.

Tori: Well, if we are on break then I am going to take another nap.

Kairi: How are you able to sleep so much?

Tori: Because in sleep the world is calm and peaceful, and my mind can wonder anywhere it wants without limitations.  It’s a world I can soar freely in.  I like that world very much.

Kairi: I understand but do not spend all your time there because then you miss out on life out here.

Tori: I never said I did.

Kairi: Alright then have a good nap.  (Hugs Tori).

Jennifer: I can get the wolves to surround you again; it’s a pretty comfortable way to sleep.

Tori: (Hugs Kairi back).  Well Kairi you could take a nap with me as well.  (Says jokingly so that Jennifer does not attack him).

Kairi: I am a little tired from training so alright.

Jennifer: (Pauses for a moment but sighs as she tries to let it go).

Tori: (Lies by the tree like before).

Kairi: (Lies right beside Tori on a wolf nearby with a smile as she closes her eyes and relaxes everyone else starting to sit and relax as well).

Tori: Now then time for some rest.

Kairi: It does feel like a peaceful day, so this is nice.  (Holds onto Tori as she yawns).

Tori: (Already is falling asleep).

Kairi: (Smiles but doesn’t fully sleep, just enjoys being near Tori).

Jennifer: (Her and Shizen meditate looking through the nature around them).

Yami: (Leans back and relaxes but stays awake with his eyes closed at times).

Kura: (Smiles looking at Yami as she sits playing with a dark barrier in her hands).

 

Meanwhile Hiki runs into Chazz at her light speed.

Chazz: (Is on the floor having fallen from the impact).  What is it Hiki?

Hiki: Master can we get food ready for everyone outside?

Chazz: (Chuckles a little bit).  Is that why you ran at light speed?

Hiki: (Blushes).  Maybe but I also wanted to see you very much.

Chazz: (Pets Hiki’s head).  Well, I am glad then.

Hiki: (Blushes more as she hides her face in Chazz’s shirt).  Master….   (Says in a small whisper that Chazz cannot hear).  I love you master very much….

Chazz: What did you say Hiki?

Hiki: (Still blushes).  Oh, nothing master, oh is Maru and Luna going to join us.

Chazz: I am not sure.  I told them we might be eating outside later but Maru said that they will eat later so I am not sure.

Hiki: Well, let’s go and get food for everyone.

Chazz: Yes, lady Hiki.  (Smiles sweetly to her and bows like he would to Jennifer).

Hiki: (Blushes more).  Master don’t do that….  (Whispers).  You’ll make my heart flutter more than it already has.

 

Back to everyone outside that still relaxes, Yami still lies back with his eyes closed seeming to rest but not fully asleep as Jennifer meditates with Shizen still.  Kura sits near Yami as Kairi lies resting her head on top of Tori).

Chazz: (He and Hiki come back out with a cart full of food for everyone).

Hiki: Ohh time to eat.

Jennifer: (She, Kura and Shizen look Chazz’s way as Yami still sleeps and Kairi opens her eyes sitting up on Tori as she rubs her eyes).  Ooh good timing.  We were starting to get hungry.

Kura: Thank you Sir Chazz and Miss Hiki.

Tori: (Continues to sleep but at the same time pulls Kairi down to his chest).

Kairi: (Is surprised but lies down again snuggling up to Tori as she holds him close liking how warm the holkd is with a light blush).

Jennifer: Umm so what did you bring to eat?

Chazz: We have some sandwiches, some pasta salad, and some chips to add to it.  Also, some juice as well or water if some would fancy that.

Jennifer: Ooh sounds great; if Maru does not join us, he is missing out.

Kura: Yami it is time to wake up.

Yami: (Continues to pretend to sleep).

Kura: (Sighs).  Heavy sleeper then, he has something in common with Sir Tori.

Hiki: Probably does.

Chazz: (Talks to Kairi as she stands by everyone else).  Kairi it is time to eat.

Kairi: (stutters a little not knowing what to do not able to go over to eat with everyone).  B-but I can’t get up.

Jennifer: (Eyes Tori giving a glare in suspicion).  … What do you mean.

Kairi: I-I.  (Blushes a little more being held by Tori who rests peacefully unable to get up).

Hiki: Well then Tori is being forward today, isn’t he?

Tori: (Still hangs onto Kairi as he rests with a smile).

Kairi: (Blushes a little bit but enjoys being held).

Jennifer: (Does not know what to think one part of her thinking it’s cute and the other part wanting to shoot an arrow at Tori).

Shizen: (Laughs).  Well, it is cute though.

Hiki: It really is, I kind of don’t want to wake him up.

Jennifer: I will wake him.  (Walks over casually with her bow in her hand).

Hiki: I say without the bow.

Jennifer: No need to worry about that.  (She says politely with a innocent smile as she stands by Tori and kneels down and Kairi looks confused as she pokes Tori’s face).

Hiki: May Tori rest in peace.

Jennifer: (Continues to poke Tori’s face so he can wake up).

Chazz: Umm milady?

Jennifer: Come on, wake up already.  (Continues to poke Tori).

Tori: (As he sleeps).  … What….

Jennifer: Tori wake up….  (Sings that sweetly but also a little creepily with a polite yet a little scary of a smile).

Tori: (Continues to sleep).

Jennifer: Come on now.  (Pokes Tori in the cheek hard but not to painfully just to get him to wake up).

Chazz: Umm milady not so hard now.

Jennifer: Well, he is not waking up… I have an idea.  (Kneels down to whisper in Tori’s ear pinching him to make sure he’s awake to hear her and says).  Now I know you like sleeping and I do not mind that, but you are holding on to my sister and your hand is very near some places, so you have to make a choice….  Let go of her or not and if you do not, I have my bow on the ground aimed at your arm… Now make your choice.

Tori: (His arm retracts, and he wakes up suddenly).

Jennifer: (Sits up and smiles innocently at Tori as she picks up her bow putting it over her shoulder to carry).  Good choice.

Tori: (Still hugs onto Kairi one more time anyways as he gets up without Jennifer seeing).

Kairi: (Stands up when Tori does as they walk back to everyone).  Are you alright, did she say something?

Tori: Just something that got me scared.

Kairi: I am sorry.  (Looks up at Tori with concern).

Jennifer: (Walks back to everyone with a big smile as she acts like she had done nothing).

Chazz: Uh huh nice secret there milady.

Jennifer: (Smiles innocently still).  I have no idea what you are talking about.

Chazz: (Smiles nervously).  Whatever you say Lady Jennifer.

Jennifer: So, shall we eat or should we wait for Maru and Luna.

Kura: And Yami is asleep still, shall I wake him?

Hiki: I’m hungry so let’s eat.

Jennifer: Maybe they will join later.

Kura: (Goes over to Yami and shakes him a little).

Yami: (Opens his eyes looking annoyed).  … What?

Kura: It’s time to eat.

Yami: (Stands grumpily and a little sleepily as he walks over rubbing his eyes).  Fine….

Hiki: Yay time to eat!

Tori: (Walks over to eat as well).

Kairi: Oh, I can get a blanket to sit on, hold on one minute.  (Runs quickly into the mansion zooming past Chazz).

Jennifer: Wait you do not have- and she is gone.

Chazz: Well, I guess we do not have a choice.  I will make sure everything is ready to eat.

Hiki: Oh, come on master please can I at least take a bit of a sandwich.

Chazz: No not yet Hiki.

Kura: I will help you if you wish.

Jennifer: Well, she runs fast so it will not be long.

 

Kairi: (Meanwhile she runs to her room and grabs a blanket with different shades of pink stripes on it and zooms back.  When in the hall she accidentally running right into Maru making both crash into the ground and landing on top of Maru).  Gah look out!

Maru: (Rubs his head after falling over).  Oww… Are you alright?

Kairi: (Gets up as she rubs her head to looking at Maru with concern).  I think so, I am sorry I didn’t mean to.  Are you alright?

Maru: (Now realises who had run into him).  L-lady Kairi… Yes, I’m alright.

Kairi: Sorry I think I ran to fast again, but I guess this time I did not run into a tree.  (Offers her hand to help Maru up).

Maru: (Hesitates for a second as he retracts his hand for a second but grabs her hand to get up).  T-thank you.

Kairi: For what…?  I mean why would I not help you up?  I mean even if you were not my quest, I still ran into you.

Maru: No not that, thank you for being a good person that is willing to talk to me normally.

Kairi: Why would I not?  You are a nice person and that is why I want to talk to you and thank you for saying I am a good person.  Truth is I just like talking to you.  You seem like you could be another great friend.

Maru: (Smiles).  W-well either way you have my thanks.

Kairi: (Smiles brightly).  No problem I am here to talk anytime.  I just hope our spirits get along.

Maru: That may be harder than it needs to be….  (As Maru scratches the back of his head like something is bothering him).

Kairi: (Gives a concerned look).  Are you alright, is something wrong?

Maru: (Looks at the blanket).  Yes, I am fine… What is the b-blanket for?

Kairi: Everyone wanted to have a picnic outside for lunch, so I was getting something to sit on.  You and Luna were invited to join.

Maru: … I know but Luna still seems to be in a bad mood so I will come out in a bit….  (As he says that his eye changes color again to blue and silver).

Kairi: Oh, umm alright we will save you some to eat… Your eyes they….  (Looks at Maru’s eyes with curiosity).

Maru: (Realizes where Kairi is looking and panics a little).  Ohh these eyes… Mean uhh Luna is back in my mind for some rest so she is always nearby… Is what she told me. (Realizes he should not have told Kairi this, but he could not bring himself to lie to her).

Kairi: Oh, wow they look cool that way.  (Looks at Maru’s eyes being fascinated by them).

Maru: (Blushes).  Ohh… Well, they do not compare… To your own… L-lady Kairi.

Kairi: (Blushes faintly as well and looks down to hide it).  Thank you, that is very sweet.

Maru: (Panics and runs away suddenly in a flustered rush).  S-sorry I have somewhere to be!

Kairi: U-umm?  (Looks back seeing Maru run down the hallway being a little confused then after a moment runs out to everyone outside with the blanket).  Hi everyone, I’m back!

Chazz: Hello Miss Kairi did you run into any trouble?

Kairi: I umm ran to fast again and crashed into Maru on accident.  I think I scared him a little, but he was being nice.

Chazz: That is good.  Can you help get the blanket set up as I ready the food.

Kairi: I can.  (Starts setting out the blanket as Jennifer helps her and Kura helps Chazz).

Shizen: Here let me handle that.  (Plants that are around the edges of the blanket start to move and hold it down the blanket making it unwrinkled).

Kairi: Whoa cool.

Tori: (Helps with the blanket as well).

Hiki: (Dazes at the food in a sight of want).

Jennifer: Hiki be patient, we will eat once it is set out.

Hiki: Fine.  (She then sits on the blanket once it is set out everyone else doing the same as she sits next to Tori).

Chazz: (Brings the food to the blanket as Maru comes outside).

Kairi: Hi Maru, yay you decided to join us!

Jennifer: Yes, and where is Luna?  Will she not be joining us?

Maru: (Is still a bit shy but not as shy as before).  H-hi everyone and I do not know if Luna will be.

Chazz: Well, that is a shame and here I brought a bit more than usual just for our quests.

Maru: I-I am sorry about that.

Chazz: No, no Sir Maru.  It is fine.

Kairi: There is plenty of food so dig in and sit anywhere you like.  (Kura sits on one side of her and other side being free for anyone to sit there with Yami sitting on Kura’s other side).

Maru: T-thank you….  (Walks towards Kairi to go sit by her).

Kairi: (Smiles at Maru as he sits).  So, what did you do while most of us were outside?

Maru: Just explored while Luna was calming down.

Kairi: Oh, do you like it here?  There are a lot of rooms, so I am sorry if you got lost.

Maru: Not a problem, a-after a while I figured out where I was going and so far, it is fun.

Chazz: Well, I am glad to hear that.

Kura: You had mentioned that you wanted to see the forest as well, correct Lord Maru?

Jennifer: (Raises her eyebrows in interest).  Really, well I can help with that.

Maru: No, I-it’s fine, I was just curious about it.

Hiki: Come on, don’t be modest here.

Chazz: Hiki….

Jennifer: It really is fine.  I can also ask animals to guide you through the paths if you wish.

Kairi: My sis can talk to animals.

Maru: (Looks surprised at Kairi’s statement).  Really but that would also explain the wolves.

Jennifer: Yes, I can, I can also make plants bend and grow to my will and turn into animals myself.  (As she says that a small vine grows near Maru’s hand and starts to wrap around his hand).

Kairi: She has nature powers.

Shizen: Yes, and I am her spirit Shizen.

Maru: (Gets shocked by the vine and falls on Kairi lap a deep blush falling upon him).

Hiki: Well then someone is more forward than expected.

Kairi: Umm are you alright?  (Looks at Maru with concern).

Maru: I… Um… Yes, I am fine.

Hiki: Any competition for Tori?

Tori: … I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

Kairi: As long as you’re alright.  You looked a little scared but that is what my sister’s power does.  It is really cool.

Maru: (Continues to lay there as he looks at Kairi and the vine on his hand).  Yes, it r-really does look cool.

Jennifer: I did not think you were the type to be so forward to lie in my sister’s lap….

Kairi: Sis… And as long as you are comfortable Maru.  I do not mind.

Maru: Well, umm… T-thank you lady Kairi and Jennifer.

Hiki: Neither did I expect that.

Jennifer: Although not as forward as another.  (Glares at Tori).

Kairi: Umm oh Chazz is human too and he has light and dark powers, and his spirits are Hiki and Tori.

Hiki: Hello!

Tori: How do you do Lord Maru?

Maru: Oh yeah, I saw you two yesterday at the ball.

Kairi: Yes, they are very strong and have been teaching me how to use magic and spar and Kura has been teaching me how to make barriers and use dark power stuff.

Maru: … Very nice, it is good to learn from others, I guess.

Hiki: Yes, Kairi has become my student in the ways of magic.

Tori: You know that sounds cheesy Hiki, right?

Hiki: … Shush.

Kairi: (Laughs).  Well, you are a good teacher though earth seems easier.

Kura: What Lady Kairi is best at so far is her barriers.  She has come a long way in a week.

Yami: Still sucks at combat though.

Hiki: Yami that was rude.

Maru: I-I think she will get better.

Yami: What its true for now.  I’ll say she’s good at it when she is.

Kura: (Pulls on Yami’s ear).  What did I say about being polite?

Yami: Hey let go!  (Pulls away and Kura lets go of him).

Kairi: I know I will get better, and I will work hard so I can learn everything I can.

Maru: G-good luck Kairi.

Kairi: (Gives a determined look).  I know I can do it.  I know I do not have experience using a weapon before they got their powers like everyone else here, but I think I can do it.  I had my first sparring lesson today and it was hard, but I will do better next time.

Maru: I-I could spar with you… Maybe.

Kairi: If you want to but I am not really good at attacking.

Jennifer: She still learning how to swing and stay balanced though she is better with blocking.

Maru: W-well I could use a practice sword.  I-is that fine?

Kairi: If you want to but are you done eating?

Maru: I… Uh haven’t eaten yet….

Kairi: Oh, right I have not either… I forgot, we should start eating then unless you want to continue lying on my lap.

Maru: (Blushes and sits up).  I will eat now.

Kura: (Passes out empty plates to everyone).  There is plenty of food for everyone so take what you like.  There are sandwiches, pasta and juices so help yourself if you would please.

Jennifer: (Her, Kairi and Shizen say when handed their plates).  Thank you.

Yami: (Takes a plate once offered but there is a pause as if something is expected of him).  Yeah… Thanks.

Shizen: Very good.

Yami: … Quiet.

Hiki: Yay good foods time!  (As her stomach growls).

Tori: Thank you very much.

Maru: T-thank you for the food.

Chazz: Not a problem, dig in everyone.

Jennifer: (Grabs mostly pasta and eats along with everyone else).

Kairi: Yum looks good, I think Luna is missing out.

Yami: Yeah, I mean… No hard feelings.

Maru: (As he eats a sandwich).  It is fine understand, Luna went too far.

Yami: Nah we both wanted a fight, but I meant sparring not like an actual fight though fighting is fun.

Maru: I think Luna took it as a actual fight… She has a temper sometimes.

Hiki: Maru you are speaking more fully now, good job.

Maru: (Blushes and ducks down).

Yami: (Laughs).  Yeah, I guess I have one too.

Kura: But Yami is not a bad person, he just is a little rude.

Yami: Hey!

Kairi: But Maru you are doing a good job opening up.

Maru: T-thank you very much and Luna just takes things in a serious way.

Yami: Yeah, I’m not serious on that stuff.  I mean she seemed to be the kind of person who enjoys sparring.  (Shrugs).

Maru: Luna… Takes the safety of people serious as she is scared for something bad to happen to someone….

Kairi: I think that is a good thing.  She likes to protect others.  It is a good thing to have.

Shizen: (Raises her eyebrow in interest).  Something bad?  Like what for example?

Maru: W-well uh Luna never went into detail but she afraid of losing people she wants to protect.

Jennifer: I can respect that.  Here we do whatever we can to protect each other.  I mean that’s how I became wounded 2 days ago… I wanted to protect everyone.  (Looks down a little and then smiles).

Chazz: It is fine madam.

Hiki: Yes Jenny, you did all you could.

Jennifer: I know but at least I learned I can grow my arm back.

Shizen: Next time try it at full energy.  It will take less time.

Jennifer: Yes… Wait next time!

Shizen: … Is it something I said?

Maru: (Has a steady look on his face but it slowly changes to a look of shock and surprise).  W-what do you mean i-it can grow back.

Kairi: (Looks surprised as well).  You lost your arm!

Jennifer: … Yes, kind of like reptiles and plants grow limbs back… Shizen has all nature abilities since she is the first-generation nature spirit.

Shizen: Now do not share that so easily.

Jennifer: … Oops sorry.

Maru: One, Luna told me she was second.

Shizen: Ahh I see yes there are not many first-generation spirits.  I believe there is one for every element.

Kairi: And Tori had the first dark spirit as his teacher.

Maru: (Looks surprised but not as much as before).  R-really?

Tori: Uhh yes, he taught me everything I know.

Kairi: He sounds like he was really cool!  Shizen how did you know him?

Shizen: We were very close friends.  (Smiles to herself as she remembers).

Hiki: (Holds back the instinct to ask questions since a guest is with them).

Maru: Close friends?  (As he thinks “could you be the person Luna talked about”)?

Shizen: (Has a questioning look).  Yes… What do you mean?

Maru: Oh nothing….

Shizen: No say what you were meaning to ask, what is it?

Maru: Well… Umm… Luna told me stories on how spirits get along and even from different elements.

Shizen: Yes, they do, there are even breeds of spirits that were created by to different element spirits especially from 1st and some second-generation spirits.

Jennifer: Really, how do they do that?

Shizen: (Laughs a little Jennifer making this mistake once again).  Well, when two spirits care about each other very much they-.

Jennifer: Alright that is enough, do not say the rest!  (Blushes heavily).

Hiki: (Laughs).

Chazz: (Coughs to interrupt the train of thought).

Kairi: (A thought comes into her mind and smiles).  Did you like Tori’s teacher?

Shizen: (Look surprised but can barely see a slight blush).  Well, umm yes, we were close friends.

Hiki: But that doesn’t answer the question now does it?

Shizen: Hmm how do I put this… His wife and I had a good fight because of acts attempted with him.  (Looks away as she remembers).

Jennifer: (Looks shocked as Kairi looks confused and Kura raises an eyebrow).

Hiki: (Gasps with shock Tori doing the same).

Shizen: (Scratches her cheek with a little nervous laugh).  I told you sometimes that I had fights with the first light spirit… Well, that is why….

Hiki: I’m just shocked you went so forward with it.

Tori: (Says nothing still being in shock).

Shizen: Yes, one time I was chased out of the house as she tried to kill me… I ran through this little boy’s room through their window.  Very adorable though I tried to not wake him… he had white hair… Huh….  (Looks at Tori realizing whose room it was).

Kura: Wait more than once?

Shizen: … Yes….

Tori: (Looks at Shizen still being shocked but then remembers something).

Hiki: How many times did you two meet?

Shizen: (Starts to count on her fingers as she thinks, already having to reuse both hands since it had gone over how many fingers she has).

Hiki: (Hits her head with her hand in shock).  I think you’re going to run out of fingers.

Shizen: Already have… Twice… Maybe five times over… We had been alive a long time.  It is hard to keep track.

Jennifer: (Still speechless being in shock).

Yami: (Shrugs not really showing interest as he eats).

Kairi: (Still is confused to what is going on).

Shizen: Many of their children considered me as an aunt though.

Hiki: That’s surprising really from how many times you were chased out.

Shizen: We still were great friends though since we both liked him once upon time and still teased him about it after those fights were settled but there was a time long ago, we had our fights over him… She usually won since they truly loved and were meant for eachother looking back at them… Tori you have not said a word.

Tori: I’m just shocked by this really.

Shizen: You never had heard his wife screaming something like get out of here with some curses or anything like that… We still were close friends.

Tori: I think I did one night but I just ignored it.

Shizen: That was a wise choice then, but I am surprised I had not realized you were that child.  The white hair is proof enough, my memory is not what it was I suppose.

Tori: Yes Shizen….

Shizen: (Laughs).  Well now you know that I suppose… I had some good times with both of them though.  (Smiles and looks up as she remembers).

Tori: I heard many stories about the time you had though they didn’t share names probably because of all those events.

Shizen: Yes, probably from their kids since they knew me and thought of me as an aunt.  So they said that I and a few others would look after them and make sure they were alright if anything were to happen to them… I guess that includes you as well Tori, but you are on a good path so far.

Tori: Thank you for looking over me from time to time.

Shizen: Well, you don’t really need me to.  Hiki does that well and you make a great team.  I will only step in if your life is in danger.

Hiki: (Hugs Tori).  Well of course, I have to watch over him.  Who else is going to keep track of this silly guy?

Tori: Says the girl who acts sillier than I do.

Shizen: See you look after each other and it is adorable to see.

Jennifer: (Still look a bit shocked from what Shizen said before).

Chazz: Are you alright madam.

Hiki: Didn’t shock you too much right?

Jennifer: Well, I don’t see how the wife forgive you so easily.

Shizen: don’t worry; I made it up to her.

Hiki: How?

Shizen: Hmm… You already have heard enough, I think.

Jennifer: … I do not think I want to know.

Hiki: I’m kind of interested.

Maru: (Has the same look as Kairi not knowing what’s going on).

Shizen: If you ask later then maybe but there are children nearby and they do not need to hear anymore.

Hiki: Alright I will ask later.

Shizen: Very well.  (As everyone else finishes up as Yami still eats).

Kairi: Wow Yami you eat a lot.

Yami: (Shrugs).  Always have.

Chazz: Only way to keep up energy.

Hiki: But you don’t eat a lot master.

Chazz: Well… I… Um do not get that hungry.

Hiki: Whatever you say.

Jennifer: You should eat more.

Kura: I would think Yami eats so much because he is still a growing child.

Yami: (Shrugs being too busy eating).  Uh not a little kid let’s go with that.

Chazz: Umm yes milady.  (Says with a giving up look on his face not trying to argue).

Jennifer: (Pouts).  Do not give me that look, you will make me feel bad.

Kairi: (Laughs).  So, what are we doing after this, are we training again?

Jennifer: If you wish to but it is a slow day and if you want to go into the forest Maru let me know.

Kairi: Wait you have light powers so does that mean you and Luna go light speed like Hiki does?

Maru: Uhh yeah though I still am learning to handle the changes in speed.

Kairi: Oh alright, I wonder who would win in a race and if Hiki and Luna raced who would win that.

Hiki: I’m not sure I would like to find out, but I don’t think I will find out.

Kairi: Oh, if you do not want to it is fine.

Jennifer: You do not have to race everyone.

Kairi: I know but it still is fun.

Hiki: No, I want to; I just do not want to cause problems.

Maru: I think Luna will be alright with it if you ask later.

Hiki: I would appreciate that.

Kairi: I think I am going to work on making barriers while I sit here then.

Jennifer: Go ahead, is there anything we need to do for this afternoon?

Chazz: From what I can remember we do not have anything for you today.  Just for lady Kairi, it is the day to spend with Maru since she chose him to stay the night.

Jennifer: Oh right,

Kairi: I hope you are enjoying your stay so far.

Maru: Y-yes, I am very much.

Kairi: (Smiles happily).  Good you can visit anytime you want.

Maru: Yes, I may take you up on that.

Kairi: Good I hope so, you are nice and you’re opening up more which is great.

Maru: (Smiles at Kairi).  Yes.

Luna: (Comes outside being noticed when she speaks up).  Oh, that’s where you were master Maru, are you alright?

Maru: Y-yes Luna I’m fine.

Kairi: Oh, hi Luna.

Jennifer: oh hello.

Kura: (Narrows her eyes at Luna Jennifer doing the same but does her best to stay polite as well).  We still have some food left over if you wish to eat.

Yami: (Stops eating then looks like he’s not sure what to say so he looks away a little).

Luna: Hmm sure I will eat.

Kairi: Help yourself and sit anywhere you like.

Yami: (Sighs to himself and gets up walking over to Luna and everyone looks at Yami questioningly).

Luna: Yes, may I help you?

Yami: (Hold his hand out to shake as he looks away feeling awkward).  Look we got off to a bad start I guess… So, um yeah.

Luna: (Laughs a little as she grabs Yami’s hand).  True we did act a bit childish.  Our emotions got the better of us.

Yami: (Grins a little).  Only stepped in then since I thought you would enjoy sparing.  Didn’t mean actual fighting like enemies or something.

Luna: Ahh my mistake, then I got ahead of myself.

Yami: Yeah, it’s cool.  I kind of lost it to though I guess when you left… Guess I snapped at your master.

Luna: Oh, did you now…?  (Get a little bit of a scary look).

Maru: But it is fine Luna, no need to worry.

Luna: As you say master Maru.

Yami: Hey everything’s cool… I mean not like anyone got hurt.

Kairi: Yes, and as long as both of you can get along.

Luna: Fine, fine, I will forgive it if master Maru is alright with it.

Yami: Cool everything’s good then.  (Walks back to where he was sitting and eats again).

Kairi: I am glad that was worked out.

Jennifer: Yes, now you two can start to get along hopefully but for now eat something before Yami eats it all.

Yami: Hey!  (As his mouth is stuffed with food).

Luna: (Chuckles a little).  Yes, yes, I will eat a bit but are we sparing?

Maru: I-I think so.

Chazz: We will see what happens.

Yami: I’m always up for sparing so bring it.

Kairi: Oh, can I spar with sis again?  I want to get better at it.

Jennifer: I do not see the problem with that.  (Turns to Luna).  She just had her first sparing lesson right before lunch.  She does not have experience with a weapon before she got her powers, so she is learning now.  She has come a long way in a week though.

Kairi: (Smiles brightly).  Thank you.

Luna: Hmm I could teach her, or do you wish for someone else?

Jennifer: (Looks a little surprised).  I do not see a problem with that.

Kairi: I am better at blocking more than attacking though.

Luna: That is a very good trait to have but it is also nice to have a sense of attacking.

Kairi: I will learn all I can then.

Kura: If you need to use a barrier to block lady Kairi then do that if that feels easier.  There are also ways to attack with one but it’s mostly for blocking.

Kairi: Oh, alright thank you.

Luna: Yes, using a barrier to block is perfectly fine since it can make things easier.

Kairi: The barriers are just easier to use.  I do not know why.  (As she cups her hands over her cup of juice making a barrier of darkness appear around it, the cup looking like it is covered by a deep shadow).

Maru: Can I have some juice too?

Kairi: Of course!  (Looks at the barrier trying to slowly move the barrier and move the juice with it but is a little wobbly slowly making it to Maru then having a proud look on her face afterwards).

Maru: (Smiles and drinks from the cup).  Thank you, Kairi.

Hiki: Ohh is there some feelings between the two of you hmm?

Maru: (Blushes).  I… Umm….

Luna: (Laughs a little).

Kairi: (Blushes slightly but mostly pouts).  Hey, be nice to my guest.

Hiki: Yes, yes just had to get it out of my system.

Kairi: Still and Luna how good are you at combat stuff.  You seem confident with it I think.

Luna: I specialize in combat, like I think your friend Tori does.

Tori: I uh wouldn’t say that.

Kairi: Oh, I see, and Tori don’t be modest.  You are awesome at that combat stuff!

Tori: Well, I’m not sure.

Luna: So, do you want me to help you train or no?

Kairi: Oh… I would be honored!  (Gets up and bows as she smiles brightly).

Luna: Well alright, let’s go then.

Kairi: What do I do?  (Walks away from everyone as she unsheathes her dagger looking a little nervous).

Luna: Well first try to calm down.

Kairi: Sorry….  (Takes a deep breath to calm down and she does).

Luna: Good you never want to go into a fight all tensed up.

Kairi: I think I’m calm now….  (Goes into a ready stance then makes sure she is balanced).

Luna: Alright then, should I use a real sword or a practice one hmm.

Maru: Umm practice sword please.

Kairi: R-real or umm I mean… I can block it… I can do it.  (Looks shy but then determined).

Jennifer: (Looks a little worried).  Umm I am not sure about that.

Luna: Alright I’ll use a wooden sword so I won’t injure you, but it will sting if you get hit by it.

Kairi: I know I can block it, but should I use a wooden knife?

Luna: No, you will be fine.

Kairi: Alright.  (Readies herself making sure she is balanced as everyone watches).

Jennifer: (Looks a little concerned being protective of Kairi).

Maru: Luna will be careful; she knows teaching is different than actual fighting.

Jennifer: I know it is just my instinct to worry about her.

Kairi: Alright I am ready.

Luna: Then let’s see if you can block my first strike.

Kairi: I know I can do it!  (Gives a determined look).

Luna: (Starts to walk towards Kairi getting ready to attack).

Kairi: (Steadies herself as she watches Luna closely readying her dagger to block).

Luna: (Strikes Kairi making sure to move slow enough to make it easy).

Kairi: (Brings her knife up just in time to block but filches as their weapons clash a little).

Luna: Well, done, let me try again.

Kairi: (Nods as she concentrates on where to block).

Luna: (Strikes again but a little faster).

Kairi: (Is a little surprised but blocks quickly as she blocks barely).  Eek!

Luna: Will you be alright for a second one right away?

Kairi: I will try.  (Nods looking determined still as she tries to watch carefully and not flinch).

Luna: (Strikes again into Kairi’s shoulder).

Kairi: (tries to block but is a second to slow on the second block and grabs her shoulder looking a little painful and disappointed).  Oww… I’m sorry I missed.

Luna: It is fine Kairi you did well but yes you are fine at this for just beginning.

Kairi: Can I try again please?  I know I can do it.  (Readies herself again looking determined).

Luna: Are you sure Kairi?

Kairi: I can do it; I know I can!

Luna: If you are sure then here, I come.

Kairi: (Nods as she watches Luna closely).

Luna: (Strikes again aiming at Kairi’s arm).

Kairi: (Flinches a little her knife dropping in the first block but still puts her arms up to block on instinct and a barrier forms big enough to block Luna).

Luna: Well done with the barrier and sorry if that had hurt.

Kairi: It is alright, I am fine.  I do not mind but I can block faster with the barrier, so I panicked and I guess I used it.

Luna: and that is fine.

Kairi: Maybe you could go faster since I am using a barrier.  Maybe I can do better.

Luna: If you say so.

Kairi: I can do it; I know I can!  (Gives a determined look and nods).

Luna: (Strikes at Kairi once again).

Kairi: (Blocks Luna again with a barrier and then gets ready to block again, her speed noticeably increasing).

Luna: (Strikes again but with more speed).

Kairi: (As the strikes continue, she starts to struggle to keep up becoming panicked a little but then she unintentionally starts absorbing darkness from a shadow nearby and then is able to keep Luna’s pace once again).

Kura: (Her eyes widen knowing that, that ability is considered dangerous to know since most know it is the ability of Yami’s and her’s father).

Luna: (Stops for a second but recollects herself and strikes again but is a little stronger than before).

Kairi: (Starts to struggle with keeping the barrier solid with each hit as the strikes become stronger and one time the barrier cracking).

Luna: (Stops striking at Kairi).  That’s good for now.

Kairi: Oh… Did I do alright?  (Lets down her hands catching her breath and the barrier fades and so does her taking of energy from the shadow).

Luna: Yes, you are doing fine.  You just need to keep up when someone strikes harder and become more and more.

Kairi: I will do better next time.  (Smiles happily and bows then runs back to where everyone is sitting with a big smile).

Jennifer: You did much better.

Kairi: Thank you!

Luna: She has potential, but she mustn’t rely on that barrier too much because it can only take so much.  If my weapon were real, it would have broken by now.

Kura: If she works on it more it will have less chance of breaking easily.  I will help her more with that since it is my specialty.

Luna: That will work for her greatly.

Yami: Yeah, I’m supposed to help her combat skills but she’s better at that support crap.  (Kura glares at him slightly making him uncomfortable).  … Stuff.

Luna: Then why are you not trying to teach her.  I think her own spirit would be more convenient since she needs to also attack.

Yami: (Shrugs).  Just not really used to teaching I guess, takes too much patience.

Kura: Which he has none of.

Yami: Hey!

Hiki: (Laughs).  It’s kind of true since you really don’t.

Tori: (Shakes his head yes).  I was going to teach her before you came out but again thank you for the help.

Luna: (Bows).  No need to thank me.  It’s the least I could do to make up for my behavior earlier.

Maru: (Smiles at Luna).

Jennifer: I am glad everyone is getting along then.

Yami: (Shrugs it off).  Was no big deal.

Jennifer: But also, Hiki is not the only light spirit anymore.  It seems like there are a lot of dark spirits here, not a problem but it’s a little more balanced.

Shizen: (Laughs being a little amused as she shakes her head).  And then nature is randomly mixed in as well.

Chazz: (Chuckles a little).  As it seems.

Hiki: Yay more light spirits though I am getting used to the dark ones.

Tori: I’m not sure how I feel being called that.

Shizen: (Laughs).  It is fine, light needs dark to balance things out as well as the other way around. Hiki has enough light to balance this group out I would think, she has been doing a good job at that.

Hiki: (Smiles and says with confidence).  I have so much light I could compete with the sun.

Kairi: Wow that is a lot!

Jennifer: … I honestly do not know if that is an exaggeration or not because I have seen sometimes where you start glowing so bright you nearly blind me.

Hiki: (Laughs mischievously).

Chazz: That is too much Hiki but I do like your self-confidence to say the lease.

Hiki: Thank you master.  (She says with a big smile).

Jennifer: Well confidence is a good thing.

Yami: Especially in fighting or sparing.  Makes it fun oh and Tori our last fight I’m counting as a tie.  I would have won that, I was just holding back.

Tori: Ah huh whatever you say Yami.

Chazz: Though it could have been a close fight.

Yami: Was a good fight though, I expect a rematch.

Jennifer: For the, what is it 4th time?

Yami: Hey!

Tori: 4th, I thought it was the 5th so far or maybe 7th, I’m not sure.

Jennifer: (Laughs).  Well, it seems we lost track, but I guess you are seen as a good competitor.

Yami: … Yeah, I guess.

Tori: A challenge arrives, I have to decide if their worth the effort.

Chazz: Now, now don’t get too full of yourself.

Yami: Not cool dude.  (Throws one of his throwing knives at Tori like usual).

Tori: Hey, hey you’re worth my effort now aren’t you or else we wouldn’t be fighting.

Yami: … Should have said that in the first place.  (Looks away as he crosses his arms grumpily).

Tori: Thought that was a given in what I just said now isn’t it?

Maru: That is nice to have a sense of rivalry I-I think.

Yami: Teah its fun.

Shizen: Yes, it is but Luna I had heard you are a 2nd generation spirit.  When not contracted or when you are, either or I suppose, are you a light guardian or is there something different that you do nowadays?

Luna: (Stares at Maru like to say “why master but alright I will forgive”).  Now where did you hear that from and well yes, I am a 2nd generation.  You may say I am part of that group, but I was more in the assault area.  The guardians called us the heavens lancers or something like that.  I was not to intrested in niknames.

Kura: Hmm it sounds familiar to me, I’m not sure why.

Shizen: It is like a group that was made for tracking down corrupted spirits, correct?

Yami: (Looks away to hide his look of shock and a little fear).

Luna: True that was part of our job but we mostly stayed around the guardians since true they should handle themselves but always liked a sparring buddy so that was most of our time after the spirit fights that broke out around us.

Shizen: Yes I hope things have gotten better since I was there, especially on the council they created.  I was a part of it but… Needed a break to put it short.

Luna: I am aware of whom you are council member Shizen.  You had played a part in the poison spirit genocide but not in the same way they had intended.

Shizen: (Narrows her eyes).  I consider all nature spirits as my children.  I will protect them with my life if I have to so you can imagine why I was strongly against it to put it lightly.

Luna: Don’t get me wrong, I understood your view and your passion behind it but what I failed to understand is why you didn’t try to get them out sooner.

Shizen: I… They told me that their decision was not made yet and they would go over it the next council meeting… Then I was kept there… A bit of a blindside I that still hold rage for.  I had to be locked up but I escaped raging through the halls until I was in my nature territory and started evacuating as many as possible while fighting back… So, after that I went into hiding and here, I am now.

Luna: I can see that though you know the lancers play close attention to council members.  You could have made a more discreet way of getting out.  They are still trying to repair some of the damages done.

Shizen: Right… Never was the quiet type, always needed to make my presence known… I think I will be the first council member cast out.  Then again, I was always the rebel of the group.  Even before then I pulled pranks on many in my younger days.

Luna: I am sure they could not cast you out since the nature spirits are not really saying anything to the council since you are the representative and leader.   They can’t even if they wanted to.

Shizen: (Smirks).  I knew they wouldn’t rat me out.  Well once I return it looks like they will have to deal with me, too bad for them.

Luna: Well, I think everyone is aware of how you acted and that’s why the nature spirits are acting like this since they understand and respect your choices.

Shizen: Well, they understand that I care about every one of them and will protect them no matter what and in return they have done that for me.  I couldn’t be prouder.

Luna: Yes, yes so, the council would like you to visit at least to help with the current relation issues.

Shizen: And I will once poison spirits are able to come back to where they belong and live in peace.

Luna: Yes, I think they are aware of that but for all the council knows they think they are all gone or not in the world anymore.

Shizen: Well, if they do find out I will never say where they are.  Even if tortured for centuries I will keep them safe.

Luna: yes, council member, I would ask but then you wouldn’t answer me anyway so it’s fine.

Shizen: (Smirks more).  Got that right, plus the nature spirits keep me informed enough if they are treated well and if not, they will have another rampage on their hands.

Luna: (Sighs).  Well, no one wants that again.  I don’t want to see another huge tree monster attacking everyone.

Jennifer: Tree monster?

Shizen: Yes, I can make plants move so why not make a giant moving tree.  Plus, I was using my rage ability so controlling myself became difficult, especially in my third form.

Jennifer: (Looks amazed).  Wow I hope I get that good at my powers.

Shizen: Perhaps in time.

Chazz: Hopefully without the rage to say the least.

Luna: Yes, it was a problem to deal with, even the fire spirits had a little trouble.

Shizen: If a spirit attacks that is your weakness you can still beat them.  You just need to have more strength and especially cunning… Also, I never liked the first fire spirit, and he was always so hot headed….  (There is a slight moment where she looks down, but she quickly brushes it away).

Hiki: Well, it is in his name, isn’t it?

Luna: Yes, council member Agni is a bit hot headed but then he became of more a darker mindset It has seemed lately.

Chazz: (Looks shocked by the name).

Shizen: Always jumping to the option that leads to war when peace can easily be reached and wanting to take charge of everything himself….  So, power hungry but I am glad I am friends with the first water spirit.  Mizuko can put him in his place.

Hiki: Did they have a steamy relationship?  (Laughs at her own pun).

Chazz and Tori: Hiki….

Maru: (Stares at Hiki thinking what).

Shizen: (Shakes her head no with a small sigh).  No nothing like that… He mainly avoided her since she could put him in his place though not often since she is a bit conservative and used to be shy.

Yami: … Lame joke.

Luna: (Laugh a little).  Yes, you could say they did in a different way.

Shizen: I suppose.

Yami: (Looks a little bored).  Still a lame joke.

Hiki: Grr Yami you just don’t know good comedy.

Yami: What it was a terrible pun.

Hiki: (Falls onto Chazz as she starts fake crying).  Wah master, Yami made fun of me and made me cry wah.

Chazz: There, there Hiki it was a good pun.

Yami: No not going to feel bad.  I won’t fall for it.  (Crosses his arms and looks away stubbornly).

Tori: (Whispers to Yami).  I think she just wanted to be held by master.

Hiki: (Still is on Chazz’s lap as she pretends to be sad).

Yami: Yeah well, it’s working but still not apologizing though.

Tori: I don’t think she cares if you do or not, but master may.  I’m not sure so just say it was kind of funny and she will be happy.

Yami: No way, I’m not saying it.

Kura: (Sighs hearing both Tori and Yami).  So stubborn.

Tori: Very.

Hiki: (Pretends to cry again).  Yami doesn’t ever like me.

Yami: (Becomes irritated feeling picked on).  Hey, quit it, you’re making me look bad!

Hiki: Wah now he is yelling at me and I’m just a girl.

Yami: Stop it not my fault your jokes are lame!

Hiki: Still rude but he’s a nice guy too so he needs to pick one.

Yami: No, I don’t and who needs manners.  There not that important.

Hiki: (Continues to pretend to cry).

Luna: Now don’t make girls cry.

Yami: What did I do?  I mean not even real tears so come on toughen up.

Hiki: (Hides her face as Chazz pets her head).

Yami: Come on I’m not apologizing so stop the act.

Hiki: Am I kind of funny at least?

Yami: Not when you make lame puns….

Yami: (Becomes frustrated taken some darkness slightly).  Stop it!  … Fine Sorry!

Jennifer: Good job, you said a thanks at least.  It is progress.

Yami: … Quiet.

Luna: Very nice but still is not nice to be rude to girls.

Luna: Just the way you said it and how you did not even lie to make her feel better.

Yami: I’m not trying to.  (Takes energy slightly for a moment but Luna notices).

Kura: (She pats Yami on the shoulder making him realize it).

Luna: (Says in a whisper).  I see… Very interesting.

Yami: Yeah… Just don’t like lying… Sorry….

Hiki: (Sits up with a little bit of a sign that she was tearing up a bit).  Its fine at least you are honest.

Yami: (looks at Hiki, his eyes widening then looks away whispering but people around him hearing him including Hiki).  Your actually crying… Sorry….

Hiki: (Wipes her eyes a little).  Before more fighting happens let’s be happy, alright everyone?

Chazz: Yes Hiki.

Yami: Yeah, only sparing… No fighting aloud, got it.

Kairi: Right, everyone needs to enjoy themselves today.

Hiki: Master is it alright if I rest on your lap for a little bit more?

Chazz: Of course, Hiki, you may rest.

Hiki: Thank you master.  (Goes back to laying down on Chazz).

Jennifer: (Smiles at Hiki and Chazz thinking how cute).

Kairi: I guess it’s just a day to relax then.

Yami: Sounds good to me.  (Falls backwards and lies back on the blanket).

Hiki: Rest is good.

Tori: Well, I could train for a bit more.  Anyone want to join me?

Luna: I could train with you.

Tori: I umm don’t feel like getting injured.

Luna: (Chuckles a little).  Whatever you say.

Yami: I’ll train with you, I’m not scared.  (Sits up a little but lazily).

Kura: (Looks concerned not liking the idea).

Tori: No, we sparred already.  We don’t need another overload so you relax, maybe I will practice by the trees with my seals.

Luna: Sealing arts?

Tori: Yes, I can use sealing magic.

Shizen: He is very skilled with seals; with one he even blocked my second form.

Tori: No just locked off your magic for a bit since it wouldn’t be strong enough to seal it completely.

Luna: Maybe but the fact you even did it for a bit is amazing in its own way.  May I ask why you chose that magic type?

Tori: Well, I’m not that sure myself.

Shizen: I do know that was a skill your teacher liked to use along with his wife so perhaps you were inspired and wanted to follow his favorite skills.

Kura: I have always found seals interesting though only learned the skills to break seals mainly.

Tori: Maybe and breaking seals simple seals are easy but trying to make them and keep them in control is the harder part because if you let off even for a second the seal gets weaker.

Kura: I have made weak seals before so I know a little but if you could teach me, I would be in your debt Sir Tori.  (Bows to Tori as she sits, slightly being able to see the cleavage of her shirt a little as she bows unintentionally him quickly looking away).

Tori: I… Umm… Umm sure I can teach a little.

Kura: Thank you, I appreciate it.  (Gives a small, amused smile to Tori’s flustered expression).

Yami: Yeah, while you do that I guess I’ll train on my own.  (Gets up and starts to walk away).

Kairi: Alright Yami.

Tori: No problem, I’m happy to help.

Kura: (Looks at Yami as he continues to walk away, and she stares at him knowing he is going to absorb more dark energy deep in the forest.  Knowing he had not absorbed enough from going through that release of power).

Tori: Kura shall we get going?

Kura: Oh yes of course Sir Tori.  (Gets up and follows Tori but every few seconds looks at Yami as he walks away).

Luna: Well, I can train with you Yami if you want to.

Yami: … If you want but I won’t back down from a challenge if were sparring.

Kura: (Stops in her tracks turning to watch Yami and Luna carefully not following Tori anymore).

Luna: Do you wish to spar?

Yami: (Shrugs).  Only training I really think is for 2 people, so I thought that is what you meant.

Luna: Well, what do you want to do?

Yami: (Shrugs again).  Doesn’t matter, I mean you look like a challenge and I’m always up for that.

Luna: As you wish then.

Yami: (Grins).  Bring it.

Kura: (Watches carefully and talks to herself only Tori hearing her).  Idiot.

Maru: I Luna….

Luna: Don’t worry master, Maru I’ll back soon.

Tori: (Looks unsure of what is going to happen after hearing Kura).  I’m sure this is not going to be good.

Kura: Do you recall him absorbing darkness to get his strength up?  Yes, we gave him some but only enough for him to be able to wake up.

Tori: Should we stop him?

Kura: I’m not sure, that could cause suspicion for him more, but it is not even close to full strength which worries me more making it easier for him to take energy.

Tori: Well than what do you wish to do?

Kura: I am not sure, if something bad does happen one of us should step in so let’s not leave or you may go but I am staying.

Tori: No, I have to teach you sealing so I am going to teach you a bit of sealing while we watch.

Kura: Very well Sir Tori but I will be keeping an eye on Yami as you teach me, my apologies if I am to distracted at the moment.   (Bows to Tori).

Tori: No worries it will be just some normal seals that you will probably get the hang of quickly.  (Bows back to Kura).

Kura: I will listen to the best of my ability.

Tori: Yes, well with seals you aim to make a certain thing happen or have it restricted and energy flow as it is the base idea of seals.  Knowing the flow of energy is key to focus on as a start.

Yami: (Meanwhile as he stands facing Luna).  Yeah, so you seem pretty strong so this should be fun.

Luna: Yes, it shall be Yami.

Yami: (Grins as he readies himself pulling out two knives).  Bring it if you’re that confident but don’t be so sure you’ll win.

Luna: (Brings out her fencer sword and readies herself).

Yami: Since you’re a girl I guess you attack first so go ahead.  Was told its polite to do that anyways.  (Watches Luna carefully).

Luna: You may regret that very much.

Yami: Whatever bring it!

Luna: (With that warning she charges in a beam of light).

Yami: (Her eyes widen being surprised by the speed and the streak of light seeming familiar as he barely dodges throwing a throwing dagger).

Luna: (Charges again after turning around completely to come back).

Yami: (Charges as well as they clash, and it becomes a struggle of overpowering the other).  Not bad.

Luna: Not bad yourself.  (Stops the stream of light and just takes a sword fighting stance with the blade).

Yami: (Steps forward striking at Luna the other knife ready to block).

Luna: (Blocks the attack and knocks the dagger out of Yami’s hand as she aims to strike him).

Yami: (Steps back barely able to dodge backwards and steps to the side as he strikes with the knife he still has).

Luna: (Blocks his attack and keeps the same pose she had started with).

Yami: (Strikes again putting all his strength into his swings but realizes quickly he had never fully regained his strength and with every strike he feels the impact that is making more and more).

Luna: (Kicks Yami down after blocking his attack).

Yami: (Gets up as quickly in a jump up striking back then going into his true kid form and striking low but a little out of breath as he backs up).

Luna: Out of energy, are we?

Yami: (Smiles and laughs a little but still looks weaker then when they started as he readies himself again).  Me?  Nah just warming up.

Luna: Whatever you say Mr. Yami.  (Charges in again and gets behind Yami as she readies her blade against his back).

Yami: (Dodges the blade to his back and then charges as well clashing with Luna but slowly is being pushed back, though he tries to push Luna back, but he cannot).

Luna: (Charges again with the idea that she can overpower Yami).

Yami: (Tries to match Luna’s strength but his remaining energy is not enough, and he struggles and begins to get frustrated with himself for not being strong enough).

Luna: (Strikes again at Yami trying to make him mad so she can gain an advantage).

Yami: (As he is pushed back, he is almost backed into a tree becoming angry that he looks weak.  After a few more strikes his control lessens and he starts to absorb a lot of darkness as if his body had gone through withdrawal as with 1 strike he pushes Luna back quite a bit, no longer being almost against the tree).  I’m not weak!

Kura: (She, Kairi and Tori notice first Kura turning immediately to see what has happened).

Tori: Should we go in?

Kura: Stay here, I will go.  (Runs off quickly towards Yami).

Kairi: (Runs towards Yami as well).  Yami!

Yami: (Faces Luna looking stronger than before as he absorbs power not noticing the power taken).  … I’m… Not weak.

Luna: Ohh nice trick there, now let’s turn it up a notch.  (As she says this, a light aura surrounds her to power up her strikes and speed as she readies her next attack).

Tori: Kura come back!

Kairi: (Tackles Yami in a hug as he looks surprised).  Yami, stop!

Kura: (Stands next to Yami with her hand on his shoulder).

Yami: What are you doing!

Kura: Just calm down….

Yami: (Looks confused but then realizes he’s taking a lot of darkness energy and tries to calm himself down).  Oh, I see….

Luna: Are we done then Mr. Yami?

Yami: Yeah… Sorry… Lost myself for a second….  (Looks down and away).

Kairi: It is alright Yami.

Yami: Yeah… Why are you over here?

Kairi: Yes, we are here to calm you down.  (Still hugs Yami not letting go).

Luna: Well, you are strong physically but mentally you are easy to upset, that will be your downfall.  (Thinks to herself “I have to keep an eye on him”).

Yami: Yeah, I’m working on it but thanks for the fight anyways, it was fun.

Luna: It was an experience to say the least.

Maru: (Walks over to stand next to Kairi).  Are you a-alright Yami?

Yami: Yeah, just an anger stuff I have, don’t worry about it.

Kairi: I just came over to calm Yami down.

Kura: Yes, as did I, he has a… Just an issue with anger and temper tantrums being a young spirit.

Yami: Hey!

Maru: A-as long as no one was injured.  (Looks at Luna with a worried look).  Are you also alright Luna?

Luna: Yes, I am fine master Maru but thank you for your concern.  (She makes her sword disappear as she throws it into the sky).

Yami: (Sheaths his knife then goes to pick up his other knife he had dropped doing the same).  Yeah, was getting interesting though, I’ll admit that.

Kura: Yes but no need for that.

Luna: Fair enough, very interesting indeed.

Yami: Ehh don’t think too much on it… Kura’s right I’m really just trying to let go of stuff… Life was hard and here it is starting to feel like I have a family again….  (Looks away and smiles to himself).

Kura: (Has trouble keeping her feelings inside but manages barely as Kairi still hugs Yami).

Luna: A family huh, they are always great to relay on since they are there to pull you back if you go too far out.

Chazz: Yes, family is nice.  It is never good to be alone.

Hiki: (Goes to stand by Kura’s side since she knows she is holding everything back).

Yami: Yeah… I guess you are… Thanks for keeping me in line, I guess.

Kairi: No problem, at least you are admitting were family finally.

Hiki: Its progress to say the least.

Yami: Yeah, yeah don’t rub it in.

Kura: (Looks at Hiki a with small smile as she whispers).  I’m fine, you may go back.  I can manage.

Hiki: No, I’m staying here.

Kura: … As you wish.  (Smiles then regains her composer).  Are we done here then?

Yami: (Shrugs).  I think so.

Luna: It was a fair spar but sorry for interrupt your lesson, Tori.  (Bows to Tori).

Tori: Oh, um no worries, I can just teach Kura later.

Kura: Yes, my apologies as well for running off.  (Bows to Tori).

Kairi: I ran to, but I needed to hug Yami.

Hiki: Well Kairi you are fine just be more careful when running into a fight, sparring or not.

Tori: And it is fine Kura, we can finish later.

Kairi: Alright but if someone needs a hug, I’m going to try my best to get to them.

Yami: (Laughs).  Pretty sure she’s not lying.

Kairi: Nope.

Chazz: (Laughs as well).  More than likely is not.  She does like giving hugs.

Kairi: They make people feel better and take less energy form stuff.

Jennifer: (Face palms as Chazz, Hiki, Kura and Shizen do the same).

Luna: I can see that.

Yami: (Nervously laughs).  Yeah, not really a big deal though.

Kairi: … Oops I said something bad, didn’t I?

Hiki: (Face palms again).  Just think before you talk next time alright.

Kairi: Sorry.

Jennifer: She is not very good at that.

Yami: Yeah, thanks a lot.

Luna: Ohh it was a big deal then huh?  I wonder if that was it maybe or I’m not sure.

Yami: N-no not a big deal.

Kura: He just had a temper tantrum Miss Luna.  (Stares at Luna being protective of Yami).

Luna: Yes, a temper but also a very protective partner if I say so, though there’s nothing wrong with that since you have to trust each other in order to work together.  (Stares back at Kura).

Kura: (Her eyes widen but then she regains her composure continuing to stare looking serious).  Yes, he is my team member so it is my responsibility to look after him.

Yami: (Looks confused but then annoyed).  You don’t have to.  I can look after myself so stop protecting me.

Kura: (Says nothing to keep her feelings inside).

Luna: No, you can’t say that Yami as one day you will need to lean on her and Kura, I wouldn’t say you are a team now.  Your how should I say, fighters fighting for the same thing.  The safety and protection of your master.

Kura: I am merely a support spirit and make barriers so I am lady Kairi’s shield but also will look after Yami the same way.

Yami: I don’t need to; I can fight for them.  I don’t need it.  (Takes energy from everything around him including dark spirits around him like Tori).

Kura: (Puts a hand on Yami’s shoulder to make him calm down and he does so after a few breaths).

Yami: … Sorry.

Luna: Oh, go ahead and think like that and you will fall on your face one day.

Maru: Luna… Do not go too far again.

Luna: I know master Maru, I apologize.

Kura: It is fine, his past may be lonely, but he is learning how to not be.

Yami: (Sighs and looks away).  Yeah… What she said….

Luna: If you can grow from the past then you can become stronger.

Yami: Yeah… I guess.

Kairi: (Frowns and hugs Yami again).

Yami: Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.

Chazz: yes, yes, all the hugs for Yami.

Hiki: They are nice, aren’t they?

Chazz: They really can be.

Maru: (Shakes his head in agreeance).

Kairi: Right!  (Nods happily).

Jennifer: Shall we settle down again then?

Kairi: But I want to train more.

Kura: We can teach you lady Kairi.

Yami: Yeah, I’ll try not to give up teaching if you improve more.

Kairi: Right, I will do my best!  (Gives another determined look).

Tori: Well, it would be a good change of teachers so I’m alright with it.

Hiki: As am I.

Kairi: (Hugs Tori before she sets out to leave).  Alright see you later and Maru.  We can hang out afterwards and do whatever you want.  I could even show you around the place a little more. (Hugs Maru as she continues to smile happily).

Maru: (Blushes as the hug ends).  I-I… Umm would like that very much.

Kairi: Great I even know some paths in the forest so we can walk through there and don’t worry about the animals.  Even the bears are nice.

Jennifer: Fine but you know the rules, no matter what one of our servants need to stay by you two.

Kairi: I know but still it will be fun and bye everyone!  (Waves as she walks away from everyone and everyone waves back as she talks to Kura and Yami once out of earshot).  What are we doing for training?

Kura: I could help you with your magic and barriers while Yami can help you learn sparring moves.

Yami: Yeah, I’ll do what I can.

Kairi: alright!  (She makes it to the other side of the building and her and Kura help Kairi make her barrier stronger).

Kura: Yami why don’t you absorb energy while we are away from everyone.

Yami: Why, won’t I absorb from you?

Kura: It is fine… I will not be affected as much as Tori.

Yami: (Gives a confused look).  Huh why not?

Kura: … It’s because I am learning how to counter it.

Yami: … Whatever you say I guess but tell me if you get too weak.  (Sits down and relaxes as he starts to absorb energy).

Kairi: Oh, Yami can you make your eyes change like before.  I really like how it looks.

Kura: I am not sure that is a good idea.

Kairi: Why not?

Kura: It is easy to tell who he looks like if he does.

Kairi: But we are not around anyone right now.

Yami: … Eh sure whatever but only for a little bit.  (Closes his eyes and then when he opens them, his eyes have changed to black and red).

Kairi: Yay!

Kura: Just be careful.

Yami: Yeah, yeah, I will.  (Goes back to relax as he lays back with his eyes closed as he takes energy).

Kairi: (Works on her barrier with Kura making it stronger than she tries to add different elements to the barrier as Yami decides to watch sitting up and smiling a little).

 

Later that day the sun is setting and Kairi, Kura and Yami had been gone a while as the sun starts to set.

Jennifer: They must have lost track of time.  Someone should probably go get them.

Maru: (Raises his hand).  I… Uh… Can go look for them since Kairi promised to show m-me around anyway.

Luna: And of course, I will go with him.

Tori: (Sleeps by a tree again and Hiki sleeps next to him resting her head on his shoulder).

Chazz: Since those two are resting for now I do not see a problem with sending Lord Maru.

Jennifer: Very well and if you want to you may stay another night and leave tomorrow afternoon.  Therefore, you will still have time to spend with her though it is up to her.  I have a feeling she will have no problem with it.

Maru: I-I might take you up on that, but it does depend on Kairi since she asked me to stay.  I-if I do stay again, I am in your care again.  (Bows to Jennifer).

Chazz: (Smiles).  Plus, we have been training since they left so everyone is kind of tired now.

Jennifer: We are happy to have you visit anytime and she is determined to become better and train so she will be much improved the next time you visit.  For now, go on and catch up with her.  We will come by to tell you it is dinner time, but you have a bit until then so farewell.  (Waves to Maru and Luna).

Maru: (Waves back and Luna does the same).  I-I will be back with her in no time.

Jennifer: (Laughs).  We will have fun and if we are not here then going to the dining room for dinner.

Maru: Yes.  (As he and Luna go out of sight).

Luna: Lord Maru let’s make sure Kairi is not down the path we are afraid she might be going down.

Maru: (Looks down).  Yes Luna….

Luna: (Disappears into Maru’s mind and his eyes change to one silver and one blue again).

Kairi: (Makes a barrier that covers her and Kura).

Yami: (Still watches and smiles to himself as he absorbs energy forgetting he was with his eyes still back and red).  Not really a fan of that barrier crap but your good at it, I guess.

Kairi: (Smiles).  Thank you.

Kura: Do not call it a crap though.

Yami: (Shrugs).  Yeah, yeah sorry.

Kura: Hmm the sun is setting.

Kairi: Oh no I guess we lost track of time oops.

Kura: It’s alright, just finish this lesson and we will leave.

Kairi: Alright.

Maru: (Shows up to where Kairi is training).  Kairi it is time to go eat.

Kairi: Oh, Maru I am sorry.  I lost track of time.  (Releases the barrier and walks over happily).

Kura: (Gets up and follows Kairi bowing to Maru).  Hello lord Maru my apologies.

Yami: (Gets up and stops taking dark energy as he yawns and stretches as he walks over forgetting about his eyes and stands behind everyone).  Hey what’s going on.

Maru: (His eyes widen in shock as he stares at Yami’s eyes but not saying a word).

Yami: … Hey what’s wrong with you?  (Walks over to Maru looking confused)?

Kura: (Looks at Yami’s eyes and her eyes widen in shock and whispers to herself).  Shit….

Maru: (Says in a different tone of voice almost sounding like Luna).  Eyes as black as darkness but stained red in the center.  The eyes of the evil dark spirit Izumi, son of dark spirit grand master Nagi.

Yami: (His eyes widen in shock as he takes a step back).  What I mean umm shit my eyes I umm.

Kairi: Maru what are you talking about?  (Looks confused and a little scared).

Kura: Calm down Luna, let us explain.  (She says seriously as she glares watching carefully).

Maru?: What is there to explain!  Tell me why I shouldn’t take action!

Yami: I-I’m not evil like him… I-I may have his eyes and his abilities but I’m not… I’m just not and will try to never be like him no matter what!  (Looks down).

Kairi: He is not an evil corrupt spirit I promise so please!

Maru?: (Looks at Kairi being teary eyes but his are both the same blue color for a brief moment).  I am sorry lady Kairi.  I did have fun today and yesterday and I can say I am truly sorry, but this is my duty to Luna.  (His eyes change to two different colors again as he holds out his right arm as a barrier surrounds the area but is hard to see).  Shizuna….

Yami: I’m not like him!  I won’t kill on purpose!

Kura: Listen to me, I will not let you hurt Yami.  You will have to go through me first!

Kairi: Maru, Luna please!  (As her tears start to spill fromher eyes).

Maru: I am sorry Kairi.  I cannot ask for your forgiveness… I did like you after all….  (As he clearly cries then his eyes change different colors as Luna take control of his body).

Luna: Shizuna… Begin the assault!  (The fencer sword appears in Maru’s hand which she controls but this time the sword having a moon symbol on the hilt as he holds it).

Kairi: Maru… Please don’t do this!  (Runs to Maru hugging him).

Kura: (Gets ready to attack pushing Yami back and reaching out to Kairi protectively).  Lady Kairi stays back!

Yami: (Swears under his breath but still heard as he gets ready to fight).  … Dammit… This is why I hate my dad.

Luna: (Disappears from Kairi’s hug as she appears behind her still holding her sword but ignoring Kairi only focused on Kura and Yami).

Jennifer: (Shows up outside of the barrier).  What is going on here!

Shizen: It looks like a serious fight.

Jennifer: We have to stop them!  (She yells as she runs and hits the barrier).  What no let me in, Kairi!

Shizen: It’s no use, there is a strong barrier in the way.

Hiki and Tori: (As they start hitting the barrier with their blades try breaking through).

Chazz: (Tries to make the barrier dissolve using his own magic).  It is a pure light spirit barrier.  This is going to be tough.

Jennifer: (Hits the barrier with all her strength as she yells for Kairi).

Shizen: I have an idea but Chazz you need to help, and I can only give enough time for one person to get through but it will take a few moments.

Chazz: Let me rest a bit… I am still tired from the training and trying to do something about this barrier… Let us just hope they can last… I am sorry.  (Looks a bit weakened as it seems the barriers energy had wiped away a good portion of his when he had tried to break it).

Jennifer: No hurry up, Kairi’s in danger please!  (She says as she cries but Shizen comes behind her and knocks her out).

Shizen: I am sorry child I had to.  You are not thinking straight and need a focused mind to save them… I will get the opening in the barrier started.  One of you must go through.  Hiki or Tori, it can’t be both.

Hiki: I would go but then I would not be able to keep up with a lancer because she is more combat than I am… I bet she has many tricks up her sleeve.

Tori: (Looks at Chazz and Shizen and nods seriously).  I’m going.

Shizen: (Nods).  Very well but I need a few minutes to make a opening.  I will tell you when to run through and you must be quick.  I can only hold it for a second or two, got it?

 

Meanwhile inside of the barrier.

Yami: (Places his hand on his dagger ready to unsheathe it).  You don’t have to do this.

Kura: He is not like Izumi.

Yami: I may have my father’s eyes, but I am not him… Let me prove it to you.

Luna: I will gladly… Let me see how you do against this assault but first let me ask you something.  Why are you here?  I thought all spirits related to the incident were imprisoned by sealing or killed so why are you both here?

Kura: Both…?  (Her eyes widen for a second, but she shakes it off).

Yami: I ran as people started attacking my house, my brother held them off as my sister and I escaped then we lived on the streets doing anything just to survive but I lost her when she protected me too… I never asked for his ability, and I’m not corrupt.  I refuse to be so leave me alone!  (As he starts taking energy because of his emotions).

Kairi: Yami….

Luna: Well unfortunately you may be off to join them both so go have a happy reunion as you leave this world.  Now what about you Kura I ask the same question.  I am aware someone matching your appearance was also involved or appeared at that moment.

Kura: … I am of no relation to this.  I am just looking after young Kairi and Yami.

Yami: Both of you go, I’ll deal with this myself.

Kura: I am not leaving you to die.

Kairi: And I’m not leaving either!  (Runs over to stand between Kura and Yami as tears continue to fall).

Kura: Lady Kairi stay back!  (Uses her hand to push Kairi back).

Kairi: (Cries).  No, you’re my spirits and I will help no matter what and Yami is not bad!  He’s good so stop saying you will hurt him!

Luna: I see… I can’t avoid you being involved then… Highly unfortunate.

Kairi: Please stop it!  Do not do this!

Kura: Let us handle this Kairi!  (Snaps at Kairi forcing her to back up).

Kairi: … Kura….

Yami: Wow alright I guess there’s nothing to stop this fight from happening.

Luna: Yes, best prepare yourself….  (Charges in a streak of light again most aimed at Yami).

Kura: (Blocks with barriers as Luna strikes).

Yami: (Unsheathes his knives and starts to block and dodge but seems familiar to him but then his eyes widen).  That’s it…!  You were the one in the forest last night that attacked me.

Luna: (While attacking in Maru’s body taking over completely Maru unable to stop her as she powers through Kura’s barrier as the sword starts to slowly cut through it).  Yes, it was, it’s weird it took you this long to figure it out.

Yami: (As he tries to fight back).  Why… Why did you come after me!  I didn’t do anything!

Kura: (Pulls out her knife and makes strikes through the air a barrier forming where she swings blocking as many strikes as possible as she grits her teeth trying to go over to Yami, but she is unable to).

Luna: All spirits involved with Izumi run the risk of becoming like him.  Hungry for power and strength wanting more and more to become stronger.  You may say you are not like that now and I can agree with that but one day you will think you will want more power to beat someone or something and that feeling will consume you.  As long as that possibility is there I will interfere and you’re in my way.  (Cuts through the barrier and then kicks Kura away as she puts a seal on her back to keep her restrained to the ground.  When she places her seal a lock of hair was pulled, and the blue being taken off showing a lock of red hair under the blue coloring and rubbed onto Maru’s hand).

Kura: Dammit he will not turn evil!  (Struggles to get up reaching for anything but her back cannot lift from the ground).

Yami: (He clashes with Luna but being pushed back).  She has nothing to do with this, leave her alone!

Kairi: (Cries many tears as she watches falling to her knees).  Stop!

Luna: (Continues to clash with Yami as the ground rises slowly as if being pulled out of the ground into platforms.  She then looks at her hand that had gotten the coloring on it as they are clashing and looks back at Kura for a second).  I see… So, you dyed your hair.

Yami: (Strikes at Luna but leaves himself open at his side being struck there and stumbles back putting a hand to his side.  The darkness he absorbs becomes less and looks at the wound seeing it glow of light then glares at Luna as he is glad, he does not feel burning pain that goes with it ready to attack again).

Kura: (Continues to try and get up looking at what’s happening becoming more protective and angrier).

Luna: You won’t be able to handle that wound for that long since it will slow down the energy you gather at first.  It’s supposed to destroy you from the inside but for now it will just slow down your gathering so you better not get cut up anymore.  (Jumps to a higher platform in the air as she places a barrier around Kairi).

Kairi: No let me out, stop it!  (As she tries to get through but is not able to).

Yami: Shut up and let them go!  (Charges at Luna jumping to the higher platform to strike again but after a few powerful strikes but he slows a little and curses himself).

Kura: (Starts to cry as she hits the ground in frustration).  I… Won’t let… You die….

Luna: That barrier is so that she doesn’t get hurt.  Maru is begging to make sure lady Kairi is unharmed and that I don’t harm her so I will grant that wish but you two Maru is wishing the same.  I can’t afford to do that… Since the sun is out, I need to make it darker here… So here will do.  (Points her sword up and a beam of light shoots up turning the day to become night with the moon directly shining onto the battleground the moon symbol on her sword begins to shine, the sword slowly being covered in a white light).

Yami: Let them both go!  They have nothing to do with this!  (Strikes at Luna but then backs up and is out of breath as he grabs his side looking at the moon and then Luna as he spits out blood to the side but still stands to fight).  Dammit!

Kura: (Closes her eyes whispering no and then darkness surrounds her as she punches the ground and a crater forms).

Luna: (Sighs as she points her sword at Yami’s head).  If they have nothing to do with this, do you accept your fate and will let me finish you off in the spirit world.  Then I will let these two go. (Notices the darkness surrounding Kura and throws a seal towards her to hold her down more).

Yami: (Laughs and looks away with a smile).  That’s the funny thing… A day ago, I would have been glad I could stop fighting and let everything go but now.  (Starts to tear up).  I don’t want to die.

Kura: (Gets up slowly the seal cracking slowly and her back turned to everyone as more darkness surrounds her as she finally stops holding back).  Such a weak seal…. Is that the best you have?

Yami: (Looks surprised but not looking back since Luna’s sword is pointed at him but is also scared to look Kura’s way fearing he would make the mistake of her being someone he had lost that was dear to him again).

Shizen: (Watches from outside of the barrier with everyone else).  Hmm Kura’s personality changed from what I see.

Hiki: Oh, you have no idea.  We are about to see something great.

Tori: Yeah, we are from the both of them.

Shizen: (Gives a small smirk seeming to know more than she lets on).  Perhaps I know more than you would think.

Chazz: (Looks at Hiki and Tori with a smile).  They have made their resolve to grow not only as spirits but as a family.

 

Luna: (Sighs again as she undoes the seal on Kura).  If those are your resolves, then allow me to test the both of you with all you have.

Kura: (Laughs).  It’s not even close… I could break a seal like that… I have broken stronger so is that it?  (Walks towards Yami and Luna then disappears from sight showing up right behind Luna with a knife to her back and a smile yet also a scary look).  Surprise… It looks like I’m awake.

Yami: (Looks shocked at Kura this moment looking familiar to another).  What….

Kairi: (Looks shocked as well not knowing what is happening).  Kura….

Luna: I did say both didn’t I?  Let me show you both.  (Kicks Kura back as well as Yami in a instant).

Kura: (She recovers quickly with a smirk).  That was not nice to kick.

Yami: (Still is in shock).  What’s… Going on?

Luna: (Her sword changes into a wave like fencer blade with a moon on the hilt and charges towards Yami with her blade in a fast streak of light).

Kura: No Yami!  (She yells and races towards Yami getting in front of him as she absorbs darkness and her hair changes to black and red as she runs facing Luna with her eyes closed and then they open again with her eyes being red instead of blue).

Yami: (His eyes widen recognizing the hair and is unable to make words come out).

Shizen: Hmm her hair is Yami’s hair color.  (Her smirk grows).

Luna: Well then, now it all makes sense….  (Stops her blade as it nears Kura and Yami).

Kura: (Looks angry).  You stay away from my brother!

Yami: K-Kura… S-sister…?  (Still is in a state of shock unable to process what has happened that well).

Kura: (Her eyes flash to black and red as she makes her hand move around with darkness and punches the platform below setting up one of her strongest barriers then turns to Yami with a small smile).

Yami: … S-sis…?  (His hand goes to his mouth as tears start to fall).

Luna: I will let you two have a moment before we keep going.  I want you two at full strength.  (Stands up and stabs her sword into the ground as a sign of waiting for them).

Kura: (Walks over to Yami and hugs him as tears form in her eyes as well).  I’m sorry… So sorry I left you alone….

Yami: … S-sis….  (Cries more unable to understand of know if he is dreaming or not).

Kura: Yes, I’m sorry I left you… I was captured not killed… I’m so sorry I left you alone….  (Cries as well holding Yami close).

Yami: … Your alive!  (Holds Kura as well as he continues to cry falling to his knees and Kura doing so as well as they hold each other).

Hiki: (Has some tears in her eyes as she is seeing the reunion since she is happy for Kura).

Tori: (Says to himself).  … I knew it was something like that.

Luna: A reunion in the middle of a battle… Who would have thought?

Kura: I’m so sorry but we need to focus on this fight… Can you do that…?  I will explain everything afterwards.

Yami: I-I think so… You’re alive.  (Tears fall as he hugs onto Kura close and nods feeling his tears as he cries into her shoulder).

Kura: Good… Thank you….  (Helps Yami up taking the light out of his wound and then healing him).

Yami: (Face Luna still tearing up but nods again unable to say much).

Kura: (Lets down the barrier).  … Yes, we are done and we cannot afford to die here unfortunately.

Yami: … I just gained a piece of myself… So, I can’t afford to die.

Luna: Very well, show me your resolve.

Kura and Yami: (Smiles as they ready themselves to fight, Yami doing the same as they say at the same time).  Bring it!

Luna: (Pulls her blade out of the ground and readies herself).

Kura: (Holds one knife in her hand as Yami hold two others as they charge at Luna as one).

Luna: (Readies her blade as she is ready to block the next attack).

Kura: (Attacks after Yami does striking one after the other and when Luna attacks she blocks as Yami attacks).

Luna: Well, this is different indeed.  (Pulls out a second but shorter sword to use in her other hand also shining from the moonlight to counter this attack pattern).

Kura: (Her eyes widen moving Yami out of the way).  Look out!  (Gets struck on her side and stumbles back).

Yami: (Rushes to Kura’s side).  Kura!

Luna: Didn’t want to do that but it was the only way I could keep up.

Kura: I’m alright… It’s fine….  (Puts a hand to her side).

Yami: Stop it, I’m not losing you again!  Not ever so don’t say it’s fine!  (Steps in front of Kura protectively).

Kura: Yami….  (Looks down being surprised but smiles a little).

Luna: Oh, young brother protects his sister, how sweet.  (Charges in with both blades at hand as a fast speed).

Yami: (Fights back but is forced back but Kura pushes him out of the way to block Luna as she holds her side, and his eyes widen to being pushed).

Luna: (Hits Kura’s Knife so she is blocked by the other blade and stabs Kura’s wound again).

Kura: (Yells out in pain and falls back as she coughs blood).

Yami: (Runs to Kura’s side kneeling beside her as he cries).  Sis!

Kura: (Sits up stiffly gritting her teeth as she places her hand on Yami’s cheek).  It’s alright, I’m fine… But I want you to run.

Yami: … N-no not again!  I won’t do that, not again!  I’m protecting you no matter what!  I can’t lose you again!  (Stands up facing Luna ready to attack).

Kura: Yami… No please….

Yami: (Doesn’t listen staying where he is).

Shizen: This doesn’t look good, and I need another minute or more until I can make an opening.

Chazz: I am ready to go now, let’s go Shizen!  Are you ready Tori?

Tori: (unsheathes his sword).  I’m ready.

Luna: (Walks closer to the two readying her blades).

Yami: (Is out of breath as he swings at Luna with all he has).

Luna: (blocks the sloppy attacks as she knocks Yami’s knife out of his hands).

Yami: (Punches at Luna with a small throwing dagger pulled out as he attacks again).

Kura: Y-Yami no don’t!

Luna: (Strikes at Yami hitting him in the same place Kura was hit).

Yami: (Stumbles back and falls right beside Kura and starts to tear up being frustrated with himself) … I-I tried to protect you this time… I-I can’t.

Kura: (Holds Yami’s head as she cries as well).  I know Yami, it’s alright… You did your best.

Luna: (Walks towards Kura and Yami with her swords ready).

Yami: Sis… I’m glad I got to see you again.

Kura: I am as well… And I’m glad you found out.  (Holds her little brother close to her).

Luna: I am sorry, but I can’t let you two live.

Kairi: (Stands in front of Kura and Yami with her arms outstretched to block Luna as she cries and Kura and Yami being stunned in shock).  Stop it please!

Shizen: No Kairi don’t, dam I still need 10 seconds!

Luna: (Readies her strike but her blade stops midway).  W-what are you doing Maru.

Kairi: (Her, Kura and Yami hear Maru as he fights Luna for control of his body).

Maru: No that’s enough Luna!  You will not harm her or her spirits anymore, so we are done.

Luna: (Gives an angry and frustrated look).  Why are you doing this now Maru.  This is my duty!

Maru: Because I think Kairi is not corrupted and her spirits are not going to become like Izumi.  I was with them, talked with them.  You can’t say they will because they care for Kairi a lot.

Luna: (Her sword shakes in her hand as she tries to slash at Kairi but is unable to).

Kairi: Maru… Please Luna you know I am not corrupt, and they are not either!  Their part of my family, I can’t let you so please!

Yami: Kairi leave!

Kura: We don’t want you to get hurt!

Kairi: I can’t leave, I need to help and protect!  I don’t want to lose you!  (Sets a barrier in front of Luna to protect Kura and Yami).

Luna: (The sign of struggle over Maru’s body is easy to see as he is still fighting with her for control).

Kairi: (Still cries as she tries to get through to Luna knowing Maru doesn’t want to hurt them).  Maru, I know you can stop this and Luna please trust me.  We are not corrupt!

Maru: Kairi… I am sorry I cannot hold her back anymore… P-please run now.

Kairi: No, I am not leaving, I cannot!

Kura: No Kairi run, don’t worry about us we will be fine!

Kairi: (Puts her hands on the barrier to strengthen it being stubborn and determined not wanting to lose any of her new family).  No, I am not leaving you!  I will protect you with everything I have!

Kura: No Kairi you’re not strong enough.  It will pierce tight through, go now!  She is too strong!

Kairi: No, I cannot!

Maru: Kairi… Like you… Goodbye.

Luna: (Takes back control of Maru’s body fully once again).  Master Maru is so stubborn.

Kairi: No Maru… But he is right, just give us a chance to prove it!

Yami: Get out of here!

Kairi: No, I will not!

Luna: (Shrugs up and downs her shoulders too loosen up).  Miss Kairi if you won’t move then you are just proving to me that you are corrupted for protecting such beings and must be eliminated.  I am sorry it has come to this.

Kairi: (Focuses on the barrier making it as strong as she possibly can).  I’m not, I am protecting my family.  You are the one who is wrong for judging when you do not know anything about them as people.  You do not know anything!

Luna: As you wish then.  (She strikes the barrier multiple times in a chain).

Kairi: (Each time the barrier is struck it cracks a little as Kairi grits her teeth trying to hold it steady but then the barrier shatters after so many strikes to it.  The sword pierces her right shoulder, and she screams because of the pain from it and stand there staring at Luna with tears coming down and her mind becoming a little foggy).

Kura: No Kairi!  (Reaches out to Kairi along with Yami in vain).

Yami: No!

Kairi: (Falls to her knees looking up at Luna with tears still in her eyes).

Luna: This is the end.  (Swings her sword down but it is suddenly stopped in mid-air by another sword clashing with it).

????: Don’t you think it is rude to harm a lady and siblings who have just reunited?

Kairi: (Look for who she hears and sees someone very familiar to her with white hair as Kura and Yami look in shock his back facing them as he blocks Luna).  … T-Tori?

Tori: (Waves at everyone as he smirks).  Sorry I’m late, I got stuck outside the door.  It wouldn’t open at all.

Luna: W-what in the world, that barrier was the strongest I could make!

Tori: Might have to thank Maru for losing your powers for a second.

Kairi: (Smiles at Tori but then coughs a little blood from the wound she had just received and looks like she is about to fall backwards).

Kura and Yami: Kairi!  (Both scramble to her but the burning pain from their wounds make it so that they can’t move in a state of paralysis because of the light magic in their wounds).

Tori: (Goes to Kairi as he hands some bottles to Kura and Yami that are pure black and white in a swirl).

Kairi: (Still awake but falls backward into Tori’s arms).  T-Tori… I-I am sorry.

Kura: Thank you Tori.  (Takes the bottle making Yami drink his first).

Yami: (After he takes a drink).  Kairi… Be ok.

Tori: I will get her healed up by getting her to drink some medicine and patch her up… It should stop the bleeding and she will be fine.

Kura: Right… Thank you, you have good timing.

Kairi: I-I am sorry… I could not protect everyone….  (She says as tears fall).

Tori: (Pets Kairi’s head).  No, you did it to protect them… You gave enough time for me to be here in time… So, get your rest now lady Kairi.

Kairi: T-Tori….  (Hides her face in his shirt as she cries but squishes her shoulder since it is on the side she was laying against and makes a little painful noise).

Kura: (Stands and helps Yami up and both look at Kairi with sadness then glares at Luna, Yami doing the same).

Yami: You will pay for that.

Tori: I may want to mention that for the duration of this fight you have light energy so those cuts will not burn anymore but you can’t do more than that with it.  You should be able to go into your first form if you have the resolve to do it.

Kura: As long as we have enough power to defeat her and protect Kairi that’s all we will need.

Yami: If we take energy during this fight, we are taking yours too.  Are you cool with that?  I know you can’t get out now so you can’t really get away from here.

Tori: I have to watch over you two for master Nagi.  It’s the least I can do so go out there and fight.

Yami: If you say so.  (Picks up his knife and another appears from darkness in his hand).

Kura: Then we won’t hold back.  (Her knife appears the same way as Yami’s, and her hand becomes surrounded by shadow as they both look at Luna with anger).  You hurt a sweet innocent girl that had nothing to do with any of this….  We will make you pay for that.

Luna: Oh, will you now?  After I gave you this break that’s how you repay me, so ungrateful.

Yami: You the one who’s trying to kill us and anyone who gets in your way?  If anyone here is corrupt it’s you!

Luna: Am I now?  I didn’t kill anyone in this fight have I or caused others innocent to this to be hurt.  I believe in justice and fairness, and I gave you chances, and you were doing good until I saw those eyes.

Yami: I can’t help what I was born with, and I may be his son, but it doesn’t mean I have to follow his path!  My big brother and sister taught me that!

Kura: (Smiles at Yami).  Thanks, I’m glad you forgive me.

Yami: I’ll talk to you about that later but now’s not the time.

Kura: You’re right.

Luna: Well then, enough chatting, time to fight again.  Bring it you two.  (Readies her blades which are shining more than before).

Yami: Couldn’t say it better myself.  (Both he and Kura absorb darkness then after a few seconds the darkness starts to swirl all around them but mostly around their blades).

Kura: Follow my lead, I have a plan do you feel that power inside of you.

Yami: Yeah, and ok sure.

Kura: Luna your power comes from the moon, correct?

Luna: Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t.

Kura: If it does, I think you will have trouble for what I think we have in store for you.  Yami are you ready.

Yami: Yeah.  (The darkness that swirls around them as they concentrate on their inner strength and their eyes black with red and the red part glowing).

Kura and Yami: (Say at the same time talking as one).  Let the darkness fall KuraYami.  (The darkness that swirls around them then expands to cover the area.  The moon above them slowly being engulfed in darkness as their weapons change shape and Yami’s knives becoming more detailed and defined with one a little longer to become almost like a short sword both having a red hilt with a gem to match it.  Kura getting a black shield that covers her arm in one hand and a dagger in the other with the same red gem).

Luna: Oh that was your plan huh?

Yami: I feel… Weird… Like I have more power… My weapons.

Kura: I know but let’s use this to our advantage.

Yami: Right!  (Both fade into the shadows and the whole area becoming pitch black except for the light from Luna and after a few seconds Yami strikes from behind at Luna with his dagger).

Luna: (Blocks that attack fine with the knife as her sword still glows).

Kura: (comes in from the darkness blocking any of Luna’s strikes as Yami continues to strike and pushing Luna back a little bit for the first time making her take a step back).

Luna: It’s a little dark in here, isn’t it?  Let’s lighten it up a bit….  (She holds out her two blades after getting away from Yami and Kura).  First cycle Lunar release.

Yami: (Is alert and in battle stance as Kura gets in front of him being ready to block anything with her shield using a barrier to expand it).

Luna: (Her swords shine bright as they both change shape into a wavy form but are filled with little stars on the blade to a long sword as the knife grows longer with a space like detail on the blade).

Yami: That’s a shame we can see just fine in the dark.

Kura: Stay alert Yami!

Yami: Right let’s go!  (Charges at Luna).

Kura: You’re always rushing in without thinking.  (Charges as well getting ready to block for Yami).

Luna: (Slashes once and a flow of light energy coming out of the slash as well as from a second slash right after it).

Kura: (Pushes Yami out of the way to block and blocking the first slash but gets cut on her leg stumbling but has no burning pain so she continues to fight).

Yami: (As Kura attacks and mostly blocks Yami attacks from the back slashing Luna’s back and is able to make a slight cut).

Luna: (Blocks most of the attacks but as she is struck, she doesn’t flinch but strikes Yami in the arm).

Yami: (Gets a cut on his arm but doesn’t flinch either as he clashes with one of Luna’s swords and Kura the other as they push back Luna’s attack together as a team).

Luna: Ohh now it’s getting interesting.  (Pushes them both from behind in a flash).

Yami: Yeah, I guess if I weren’t protecting everything I care about I would say that.

Kura: Not the time, focus on your attack and listen to me.

Yami: Right… It’s like I hear you in my head… What… But this is the only time you’re allowed in my head.

Kura: Whatever you say.  (Switches knives to block and attack Kura blocking the bigger sword with her shield as Yami strikes her other side).

Luna: (Instead of defense and goes into offense and charges the two but at a faster speed then before).

Kura and Yami: (Both dodge to the side going into the darkness and then Kura attacking from behind and Yami suddenly from above).

Luna: (Disappears again and charges from the air striking both of them at the same time in the shoulders and the cut being deep).

Kura and Yami: (Both yell in pain but then nod to each other grabbing the blade that cut into them pulling it in more than both using their knives and stabbing Luna’s stomach as they grit their teeth in pain).

Luna: (Pulls the blade out as another blade appears above them in different locations while she deals with the pain to blinded by anger and rage to think of Maru’s wellbeing).

Kura: (As they dodge the blades subtly putting something in Yami’s hand).  Do exactly as I tell you.  I’m not as good at these but it should help with this much power.

Yami: Right, whatever you say.  (As they say this a shred of darkness starts to come from both wounds then become one and slowly form a seal that becomes covered by a barrier).

Luna: (Coughs a bit).  Now, now don’t be trying to kill me here.

Kura: (Smirks and so does Yami).  And who said we were killing you.  We want to save him from you.

Luna: (Starts to feel faintly but slowly gets stronger like she is splitting from Maru’s mind as spirits do when coming out of one’s mind).  Ah a force separation seal, those lessons worked well then.  (Raises her sword).  Full moon release.  (A beam of light breaks the darkness surrounding them and bringing back the moon as Luna’s sword gains a back edge to them as if they were more double edged since they are a bit curved now but still keep the same design).

Kura: Stay alert and look for any opening.

Yami: Right and maybe that barrier stuff isn’t as useless as I thought.  (Darkness still makes a shadowed outline of them as they become alert ready for anything).

Luna: (Doesn’t notice at first that the barrier is on her side and surrounds the outline of Kura and Yami with the moonlight to make the shadows disappear).

Yami: Dammit well better attack now.

Kura: Rushing in again now, are we?  (Charges with Yami and they both attack Luna at once).

Luna: (Disappears from sight).

Kura and Yami: (Both miss their strikes and look at their surroundings being up against each other’s back as they prepare for anything).

Luna: No more play time!  (Speeds around Kura and Yami at amazing speeds and both are unable to keep track of her as she cuts them from time to time).

Kura and Yami: (They shield their faces with their arms getting cuts on their arms and their legs as the look back at each other as if talking.  They then nod as Kura sheaths her blade jumping away from Yami as he closes his eyes and listens closely ignoring the cuts and suddenly punches the air in a certain direction and a wave of darkness coming from his fist like when he had fought Tori but more controlled making the power compress into one area making it stronger and hitting Luna since it was aimed in her area).

Luna: (Recovers from the blast stopping for a second to regain herself).

Kura: (Strikes at Luna surprising her as Luna recovers, striking from behind and making a shallow cut as Yami charges as well).

Luna: (Strikes as well with both blades and cuts through Yami and Kura in their stomachs as light energy burns their energy from the inside making them lose their strength heavily).

Kura and Yami: (Both cough blood in pain as Yami struggles to get free pushing Luna’s face away with his bare hand to get away).

Kura: Yami… Stop making the blade go further into… Me.  (Pushes on the back of Luna’s head to try and get away getting the same result but back at Yami).

Yami: K-Kura….  (Coughs as they both struggle but either one pushes the other into Luna’s sword more as they struggle really fighting each other in a way).

Luna: Even if you pull the blade out it will just cut you more by the edge and if the cuts will not burn then I will do it myself.  Now be ready and if you try to pull yourself then the other gets cut more.  (As the light energy starts to burn within them).

Kura and Yami: (They yell as the burning feeling flashes through the stab wound the sword is pierced through but Yami seeming not to be as phased pain wise physically.  Both of their hands still on either side Luna’s head to try and pull away but hands still placed there).

Yami: (Says as he ignores and deals with the pain with Kura).  Wow… You really are an idiot.

Kura: Keeping your… Head wide open.

Kura and Yami: (With the last of their energy a seal forms on both of their hands connecting with each other’s seal one being placed in Yami’s hand by Kura before).

Yami: Now Maru I know… You’re in their so force her out… We’re making it easy for you.

Kura: Come on… You can do it.

Luna: (Pulls her swords out at a fast rate but readies to attack again at different angles to do more damage).

Kura and Yami: (Both stumbles back weakly but the seal remains as Kura focuses on it and the seal growing darker and completing the seal since they left enough darkness there to finish it as they breath heavily covering their wounds and falling to their knees together).

Kura: Come on… I know you got enough strength.

Yami: It’s not… That hard… We’re making it easy for you Maru.

Luna: (Is seen hanging onto her head as Maru tries to regain control).

Yami: (Smirks).  Come on what’s wrong, got a headache?

Kura: Think of Kairi if that helps.

Maru: (His voice can be faintly heard).  No… More… Hurting… People… Close… To… Kairi, Shizuna!

Luna: … Fine master Maru… You win….  (Disappears from Maru’s eyes and mind as his body falls to the platform).

Kura and Yami: (Both catch Maru’s body as he falls and ignoring their own pain as they do so).

Kura: Good job… You did it….

Yami: Yeah… But ahh… Sorry for all… The cutting and stabbing you… I guess….

Maru: (Holds his arms in the air and aims it towards the fading moonlight).  Like the moon.  (Coughs up blood).  But it must fade.  (His eyes slowly close).  Tell… Everyone it was… Fun… And I’m sorry I caused so much harm….  (His arm falls to the ground).

Yami: No come on… You’re not dying you idiot!  (As he shakes Maru’s to get up).

Kura: Don’t do this to Kairi.

Maru: I hope… My feelings… Reached her… Even if she did not like me like that… Even if it was hopeless, I hope I made her smile….

Tori: Why not ask her yourself.

Kairi: M-Maru…?  (Crawls over to Maru as she covers her shoulder).  I am sorry… You are not hopeless and all my smiles to you were real.

Maru: (Looks at Kairi with tears flowing).  Are you… Alright… Kairi…? You were not hurt too bad were you…?  (Maru places his hand on Kairi’s cheek).  And I only want is for you to smile brightly… A sad face doesn’t fit you at all.

Kairi: (Cries as well).  I am fine Maru; it is just a scratch….  It is not your fault….  I am sorry I could not stop this from happening… I tried but I could not.

Maru: No… Need to be sorry… I had caused this… If I was strong enough… I could have stopped Luna sooner, but I could not… Without help… So do not be sorry so… Just smile alright, it is all I wanted….

Kura: It is alright Maru we can smile again after this, and you were strong enough back there.

Yami: Yeah, if you hadn’t of helped in the end, we would have been goners.

Kairi: See everyone’s fine, no one had to die and Hiki can help all three of you heal up.

Yami: Eh I’m not that bad so don’t need it.

Kura: Lier.

Yami: Hey!  (Moves a little and winces).

Maru: (His hand slowly falls from Kairi’s cheek).  Again… I am so sorry… Everyone… It was fun….  (Maru smiles with blood falling down his cheek) … I think I should fade like the moon for what just happened….  (Looks at Kairi with tears in his eyes).  … You are strong Kairi… I will miss you… I like you… good… bye.  (His hand falls to the ground).

Kairi: Maru… Wake up… Wake up!  (Cries as she shakes Maru a little to wake him up).

Yami: Dammit what did I say about dying.  You’re not dying you idiot.  I’m not killing anyone!  Not again so you better live through this!  (As he shakes Maru’s shoulders as he yells).

Kura: Yami calm down, let me see him.  (Genteelly lies Maru’s back down and carefully puts her head down to Maru’s chest listening for a heart).

Luna: (Is out of Maru’s body now having her own to the side with her arms crossed).  Maru is stubborn even when he does not want to be.

Kura: (Hears a faint heartbeat).  He has a faint heartbeat, but I need to heal him now before we lose him.  Kairi, I need your help.

Kairi: Please I will do anything!

Kura: Start by putting pressure on the wound by pressing on it.

Kairi: Alright.  (Places her hand on Maru’s stomach wound as Kura’s hands become surrounded with shadows but it then goes out).

Kura: I don’t have enough energy, we need Hiki!

Yami: (Glares at Luna).

Luna: What you want me to put down the barrier?

Yami: Do you want your master to die?  (Gets up but stiffly ignoring the pain facing Luna with his knife in his hand).  If you don’t, he’s going to die.

Luna: Not at all but what can I do myself?  I want to help him but I lack any skill to heal him so I will just put down the barrier… And stop looking at me like that… With those eyes.  (The barrier goes down as she says this).

Yami: (Starts to walk towards Luna).  Looking at you how?  Do you mean you can’t stand my eyes!  How can I convince you I’m not corrupt!  HOW!

 

Shizen: (As the barrier goes down).  The barriers down go!

Jennifer: What, let’s go!

Shizen: Hiki go ahead with light speed.  We will catch up to you.

Hiki: (Nods and runs off in light speed).

Yami: (Stumbles in pain as he walks, and Kura looks at him with concern).

Luna: (Looks down in shame).  You didn’t kill Maru and that is enough for me since he has been my best friend since I had come to this world.

Yami: Then glad you finally get that… Maybe someone isn’t as corrupt as they appear.  (Stands close to Luna facing her sticking his knife in the ground but still out of breath from his wounds but grins regardless).  Yes, I have a father who was pretty much a monster but that doesn’t mean I have to be one too.

Luna: (Continues to look down and away).

Yami: (Offers his hand to shake with Luna).  Call it truths then and can we stop fighting?

Luna: (Shakes Yami’s hand).  Fine but if you mess up, I’m coming again to finish this fight.

Yami: Fine but leave everyone else out of it.  No one needs to get hurt because of something stupid like that.

Hiki: (As she runs to everyone).  What’s happ-.  (Sees Maru).  Maru are you alright?

Kura: Please he is in critical condition, and we are losing him fast!  I have no more energy so I cannot heal so please he’s almost gone.

Kairi: (Looks at Hiki with tears in her eyes).  Save him please!

Hiki: Leave it to me!  (Gathers energy in her hands as she places them down on Maru’s chest).

Kairi: Please….  (Does not move from Maru’s side).

Kura: (Moves to the side so Hiki can sit and work on Maru next to her).  Thank you… I hope it’s not so late.

Hiki: He should be fine though the cuts are deep.  If I convert the energy to the wounds, they should be able to stop bleeding for now.

Chazz: (As he arrives with everyone else).  Hiki is doing everything she can so just believe in her Mis Kairi.

Kairi: … I just wish I could have done more to protect everyone.

Jennifer: (Places a hand on Kairi’s shoulder holding back her emotions with all the control she has).  … It is alright Kairi you did your best and I am proud of you.

Yami: Now come on, you owe Kairi an apology and probably her sister.  Plus, you can try and help your master.

Luna: I have been doing so ever since I have been standing here.

Yami: (Can see a small rope like energy being supplied to Hiki and Maru and smiles and laughs).  Nice going but hey if I wasn’t fighting for the lives of people, I care about I’d say it was an awesome fight.

Luna: I know already, you have said that twice and I will apologize later.

Yami: hey it was, saying it twice makes it even better.

Luna: Well, I’m heading back to Maru’s mind to gain back energy since I’m giving most of mine to help Hiki here.

Jennifer: (Gets up placing her hand on Kairi’s head since she was comforting her and looks directly at Luna with a serious look).  Luna come over here!  I need to have a word with you.

Kairi: No sis I’m fine… Luna… I forgive you… I-I’m just glad I didn’t have to lose anyone….  (Looks down a little).

Hiki: (Continues to heal Maru not paying attention about her surroundings).

Jennifer: … Alright but we are talking later.

Kairi: Thank you for saving him… I can tell you care a lot about him, even though all of that stuff happened… You must of been really angry….

Shizen: And Luna that was an impressive barrier.  It took Chazz and I a bit to figure it out and send someone through.

Luna: Fine but Kairi I am sorry… My duty blinded me heavily and I got Maru dragged around in my selfishness so I must apologize to Maru later… But I must be going back for now and thank you, the barriers is the only magic I can do well….  (Begins to fade away into light energy into Maru’s mind).

Kairi: I understand, as long as you understand us now.

Shizen: Rest well, you have much to think through for yourself.

Luna: (bows and fades away completely).

Kairi: … Kura, Yami are you alright?

Yami: Eh I’m fine just a scratch.

Kura: You were stabbed through the stomach, are bleeding out and should clearly be in a lot of pain.

Yami: Same for you!

Kura: Ha you admitted it.

Yami: … Dammit.

Kura: (Gets up stiffly walking over to Yami and staring at each other than after a moment starts to tear up).

Hiki: I could try to help but it wouldn’t be as effective.

Shizen: (Smiles and laughs).  I think they will be fine, look.

Kura and Yami: (Both of them start to cry heavily and then hold each other tight as they fall to their knees).

Yami: (As he sobs).  I thought you were dead!

Kura: (Sobs as well).  I’m so sorry I left you alone!

Yami: I’m never letting you leave again!

Kura: I never wanted to, I’m so sorry!  I’m so glad you are safe!

Yami: I was so alone then, I missed you so much!

Kura: I missed you too!

Kura and Yami: (Both are on their knees still as they hug each other, not letting go as they continue to cry).

Hiki: (Gets teary eyes).  Finally….

Tori: (Gets a bit teary eyed as well as he looks away).

Kairi: (Starts to cry again but smiles and Jennifer does the same).  … Kura… Yami….

Kura and Yami: (Both continue to hold each other and cry.  Kura letting out all of the emotions she bottled up and Yami crying seeing someone who was very close to him come back afraid if he let go they would disappear again).

Chazz: (Pushes Kairi a little).  Miss Kairi you are the reason they are reunited.  You have a part to play out as well so join them.

Kairi: (Nods and hesitantly walks over to Kura and Yami standing in front of them).  U-umm.

Kura: (She looks over at Kairi and Yami does the same and they smile as tears still fall).  Oh, get over here.  (She grabs Kairi’s arm pulling her and both hugging her, and Kairi starts to cry with them).

Hiki: Maru is done, he should be fine now since Luna was helping me with the wounds so he should be fine.  (Still is teary eyed as she tries to wipe them now).

Jennifer: That is good… This makes you cry to watch them… Chazz, Tori it is alright to cry too, you don’t have to hide it.

Tori: (Starts to cough as his eyes seem like he was just crying as he tries to cover it up by acting like he wasn’t).  Ahh fine you little brats, master Nagi and Kuro made me promise to look over you two so I will do just that.

Shizen: Oh, come on now, show how you really feel.  (Gets behind Tori suddenly and pushes him to Kairi, Kura and Yami making him join the hug, all 3 of them still crying and holding each other and Kairi holding Tori making him stay stuck there).

Tori: Well, look like I’m stuck in the hug….

Kura: (After a few moments she and Yami calm down letting go of each other but Kura and Yami sticking together, Kura looks at everyone).  … I suppose there is some explaining that needs to be done.

Hiki: No not really.

Chazz and Tori: Nope.

Kura: (Looks surprised but then smiles).  Thank you… Especially you Hiki… Thank you.

Hiki: (Smiles with tears in her eyes).  No problem, Kura.

Jennifer: It also explains why you snapped at Chazz this morning in Kairi’s room.

Kura: Yes, because anyone who comes close to harming my little brother gets a broken arm as the least. (Says with a innocent yet somehow scary look towards Chazz).

Jennifer: … Umm.  (Looks at Chazz then Kura looking for a reaction from Chazz).

Chazz: Well if you broke mine I will break the same with a dose of payback.  (Looks at Kura with the same look).

Kura: (Smirks).  Bring it, little Yami will be protected by me not matter what.

Yami: (Crosses his arms grumpily).  … Sis don’t call me that!  It’s embarrassing and I’m not that small anymore.

Jennifer: (Smiles as she tries to hold back a laugh).  Little Yami?

Yami: Shut it!

Hiki: Well, you do look little sometimes.  (Begins to laugh a little).

Chazz and Tori: (Chuckle a little hearing Yami’s nickname from Kura).

Kura: Like now he is and stop using that trick to look older.  Your fine the way you are.

Yami: But sis.

Kura: No buts that’s final, you will grow eventually.

Yami: … Fine.

Kura: Good now how have you kept up on being clean.  You never liked taking baths, but have you been staying clean.

Yami: Sis stop it I have been keeping clean.

Kura: Hmm are you sure?  (Looks at Yami like she is not buying it).

Yami: (Tries to think of something).  Well I….

Kura: (Smells Yami’s hair).  You have not, have you?  Next morning you are taking a bath and that’s final.

Yami: But sis.

Kura: That’s final or else it can be like old times when me you and your older brother took baths together… well the two of us anyways.

Yami: Stop it you’re embarrassing me, and I don’t want to take a bath.

Kura: Well, you need one regularly and brush your teeth.

Jennifer: (Looks at both Kura and Yami with a little shock and blush).  What kind of family were you?

Hiki: If they weren’t siblings they would sound like a married couple if anything.

Kura: We were a odd family.  It was me with an older and a younger brother who always got into fights with each other and I always ended them by hitting them both.

Jennifer: Seems like that would start more fighting….

Yami: It did.

Jennifer: Wait still you took baths with your older and younger brother…?  (Just looks stunned).

Kura: Yes… Is that not normal?

Chazz: (Covers Jennifer’s mouth with his hand).  It is fine… Kura.

Kura: … I see no problem with it.  Never bothered with that type of thinking of being decent and never cared usually just laughed at their reactions.

Yami: Sis?

Kura: Yes?

Yami: Shut up please.

Kura: (Sighs and hits Yami over the head).

Yami: (Grabs his head).  Hey not cool!

Hiki: Hey, hey no more fighting you two.  You can barely stand as it is.

Kura and Yami: Hey were fine.  (As both turn to Hiki but then grab their stomachs in pain).

Yami: Ha idiot.

Kura: Right back at you little Yami.

Hiki: (Crosses her arms as she stares at Kura and Yami).

Kura and Yami: What?

Shizen: (Laughs).  You can really tell they are brother and sister.

Hiki: Still no fighting at all so stop it or I won’t help heal you at all.

Tori: She gets stubborn like this.

Yami: Hey and sisters can also be evil.

Kura: Quiet.  (Knocks Yami on the head again making Yami grab his head again).

Yami: Ow, see.

Kura: Oh, also Tori I wanted to say this since yesterday but your reaction in Kairi’s room.  You almost made me laugh, it was too priceless.  (Says as she looks at Tori with a slightly mischievous smile).

Tori: (Sighs).  I feel like you did that on purpose.

Hiki: (Gives a confused look Kairi giving the same look and she looks at both Tori and Kura not remembering what Kura had told her yesterday).

Kura: (Laughs the smiles innocently).  Now I am merely a servant.  How could I think of something like that?

Yami: See evil.

Kura: (Laughs more).  And Yami you have no reaction as usual.

Yami: (Shrugs).  Just don’t see why a big deal is made from that stuff.

Tori: Fine, fine let’s just forget that before I have to avoid a deadly attack.  (Sighs again).

Hiki: (Still looks lost).  I’m lost but alright moving on Kura, Yami come here so I can work on you too as well.   Tori mind lending me some dark energy.

Tori: (Stands next to Hiki).  Sure.

Yami: I’m fine, just a scratch.  (Crosses his arms stubbornly).

Kura: (Sighs pulling on Yami ear).  Just come on and heal him first if you would please.

Yami: Let go and no heal sis first!

Kura: (Let’s go).  Come on Yami don’t argue.

Yami: No, you’re first… I… I never want to lose you again.  (Looks down and away).

Kura: (Smiles and hug Yami).  Yami… I’m not going anywhere this time.

Hiki: Well, I could heal you both actually just going to divide it even between the two of you.  (Holds out both hands and Tori’s energy is surrounding her hands).

Kura: Very well.  (Both her and Yami come over and lay side by side the wounds on their stomachs looking bad since both were stabbed through).

Jennifer: … How are you even awake?

Kairi: Please be alright….

Yami: Don’t worry about it, it’s not that bad.

Hiki: Shush let me focus so no talking you two.

Yami: I’m telling you I’m fine.

Kura: Yami.

Yami: Yeah!

Kura: Shut it and don’t complain or else I will have to knock you out.

Yami: … Fine.  (Crosses his arms and pouts then realize something).  Wait Tori didn’t I take most of your energy, how are you still standing?

Tori: Well Kairi was giving me her energy while she was resting with me.  (Suddenly feels like he said something he shouldn’t have).

Jennifer: Oh, really now?  (Looks at Tori with a polite yet scary expression).

Kairi: He also helped patch up my shoulder and stopped it from bleeding.

Jennifer: (Notices Kairi’s shoulder).  … What happened to your shoulder!

Tori: She was attacked by Luna while she was protecting Kura and Yami.  She did her best and she knew the risk going in.

Kairi: … I just wanted to protect them.

Jennifer: (Pauses and sighs trying to let it go).  I cannot be mad… I would have done the same.

Hiki: Didn’t you do the same for master when you had fought with Luka?

Chazz: Ah yes you did.  I have not thanked you yet.  (Walks over to Jennifer and bows to her).  Thank you for saving me milady but please try to refrain from being so reckless.

Jennifer: (Blushes heavily).  I-it’s no problem at all.  I had to protect you and Kairi and that is the only option I had because I had no time to think of another way….  (Looks down a little).

Kairi: You saved me too… I wish I could have seen it but thank you sis and I guess I wanted to do the same as you did then.

Hiki: Then what about all us spirits Jenny?

Jennifer: (Looks surprised but then smiles).  Of course, but you were not the ones with weapons pointed at you.  I would risk everything for any of you.  Especially you Hiki since you are there for me to and I don’t want you or anyone else to get hurt so do not feel left out.

Hiki: Well, I wasn’t feeling the love but now I do so thank you.

Jennifer: Of course, I care a lot about you.

Hiki: Don’t say things like that.  I may just fall for you as well Jenny.  (Smiles as she heals Kura and Yami).

Jennifer: (Blushes heavily again then pouts a little).  I-I did not mean, I mean umm Hiki why do you have to tease me so much.

Hiki: Because you react like that, it is why it is fun.

Chazz: (Sighs).  Hiki could you not tease Madam Jennifer as much?

Hiki: Anything for you master.

Jennifer: I-its fine, it’s how Hiki is so I really do not mind.  You are a great friend to have, could not ask for anyone better.

Hiki: (Smiles as she finishes up healing Kura and Yami).  Alright all done, I recommend that you both take it easy.  You don’t need the wounds reopening.

Kura: Thank you Hiki.

Yami: (Had gone unconscious being weaker than he had claimed).

Kura: (Looks at Yami with a smile).  … I’m just happy to have him back… I can’t imagine what he went through all this time….  (Frowns a little as she gets teary eyed).

Tori: (Stares at Kura and as he sits next to her).  He was telling me some of it and the only thing that made it possible for him to keep going was that you and his brother wouldn’t let him give up so easily.

Kura: That’s just like him… Before we were separated and lived in our father’s house still.  It was just the three of us… Our father came home less and less often after Yami was born and always lashed out easily if someone said something he didn’t like… Especially about us our late mother.

Jennifer: He was not always power hungry?

Kura: No, he was much better… But it changed when Yami was born.

Tori: How was it different?  Whenever I went with master Nagi to your house he didn’t seem that rageful.

Kura: Our grandfather adopted you before all of this so you should know.  You were even best friends with our older brother Kuro.  My father hid it from others to a point, but it got worse over time.

Tori: Well, I believe I knew some but I was kept away still being a bit young.

Kura: I see well before Yami was born he was… happier.  He had two children and his wife then another child on the way too, he was… Happy.  (Looks down sadly).

Hiki: Kura.  (Puts her hand on Kura’s shoulder).

Kura: (Smiles at Hiki then continues).  Well once our mom was having Yami something went wrong, and she lost her life… But they were able to save Yami but he… Wasn’t himself after that and had trouble with Yami and his power.  I guess you could say it was a mix of grief and being overwhelmed.

Chazz: Losing a loved one haunts someone heavily.

Kura: After that he stayed in his quarters a lot… I snuck in once and found a book on bring the dead back to life… This was shortly before everything had happened.

Shizen: I see and that is why he wanted so much power.

Kura: I guess so, he started to come home less and less so my older brother and I tried raising Yami ourselves… It was pretty fun, and he was the oldest so he was protective of us and did all that he could for us.

Hiki: (Looks at Tori).  Siblings are nice to have.

Kura: They really are and a bond forms that can never be taken away.  We did everything together.  (Smiles as she remembers).  And even though it was just the three of us we were happy.  Yes, we had a good sized home but that didn’t matter much as long as we were there together but….  (Her smile turns into a frown).

Hiki: (Hugs Kura).

Kura: (Smiles at Hiki’s comfort).  Thank you… Yami was different from both of us… Even as a baby and a toddler we noticed that if her had a temper tantrum or cried even a little he would absorb so much darkness energy that it almost killed any dark spirits who visited.  It didn’t affect us for some reason, but it did to others and most started spreading rumors that we were as corrupt as our father which had become normal.  Being called names and picked on since out eyes were a giveaway to who we were….  I think when a crowd of people was saying bad things about our father, Yami who looked around 4 then kept telling them to stop being mean to us… Even then he had his little attitude of his it was kind of cute.  Well, when Yami was I guess he looked 6 in human years and our father hadn’t come home for a long time and a mob marched towards the house and we didn’t know why….  We didn’t do anything to them, so we were confused but then they rushed the house burning it as they went… Yami and I barely escaped.

Jennifer: … What about your older brother?

Kura: (Looks down and away as she tears up).  He held them off as we hid and then escaped… He didn’t make it, but I made sure to cover Yami’s eyes and hold him back… It was hard and I felt helpless….

Hiki: (Tears up as she holds onto Kura more).

Kura: (Holds Hiki back as well).  After that I did everything to protect Yami, but we didn’t have much living on the streets and did everything we could to stay hidden since we were being hunted constantly so we moved around often… But Yami was a little easier to track since he became upset a lot.  I didn’t blame him for that; besides he was a little kid and he already had gone through so much.

Tori: Yes, I had heard about that….  (Looks down and away having his own sadness for Kuro).

Kura: One time when Yami was around 8 a large group of hunters caught up with us.  We ran but couldn’t get us away so… I told Yami to run and that I would be fine, and I would hold them off… He saw through the lie and of course wanted to stay and protect me but I forced him to go making a barrier to hide him so he could run but not come near me… The reason he probably thought I was dead was because those hunters hurt me very badly… Much worse than the wounds I have now but I somehow survived… At that time and when I woke up most of me wishing I hadn’t.

Jennifer: … Why did you wish you were not alive?

Kura: Wellbeing captured I was not treated well to say the least… I disguised myself as a servant until I could get away… Being a little stubborn and well like Yami in a way I was treated worse, but I don’t regret punching them in the face… I felt like I went through every bad thing that could happen, but one thought kept me going and that was the hope of Yami being safe.

Hiki: (Holds tighter than before as Kura feels tears’ coming down her face as Chazz pets her head).

Kura: (Holds Hiki tight for comfort).  The way I escaped is others in the similar situation deciding to escape and tried sneaking out but then we were found and had to run.  Some tried to stall but I think either not many or only I escaped… After that I came up with a disguise being the blue hair and eyes and lived as a simple servant spirit pretending to be something I hated just so I could blend in and not be found out again… After a while I got used to it and decided to become contracted to a human to hide better… And… There I was… Seeing Kairi and then realizing who the other spirit with me was… But I couldn’t say a thing and it hurt that I couldn’t, but it was safer the way….

Chazz: True at the time if I had known who Yami was and who you were more than likely I might have been more against it as such but now I am happy that I did not decide on that.

Kura: Right… Kairi I want to thank you… Because of you I found Yami… Thank you.

Kairi: (Joins the hug with Kura and Hiki and cries as well).  You do not need to say thank you.  I am happy I could help you see Yami again… I am sorry that happened to you.

Kura: (Cries as well).  It is alright you two, no need to cry.

Hiki: (Say in-between crying).  Says… The girl… Crying herself.

Kura: I know, it was just hard to talk about the past but now you know my side of it.

Yami: (Has been awake and pretending to sleep and had heard everything as he looks away and frown wishing for tears to stop).

Tori: (Notices Yami is awake and walks over to him and hits his head).  Stop hiding you dimwit.

Yami: (Sits up grabbing his head).  Hey, you’ll pay for that!

Kura: You were pretending to sleep weren’t you Yami.

Yami: … No.

Kura: (Looks at Yami like she is not buying it).  Yami.

Yami: Fine I was awake… I just wished I would have known you were alive… You suffered so much because of me….

Kura: It was not because of you.  It was because I cared so much about you that I thought at the time we parted that whatever happened to me I didn’t want to happen to you too.

Yami: … Sis… I understand… But I can’t complain… Yeah, I was alone on the streets and hunted constantly but I can’t imagine you went through the same… I’m sorry….

Kura: (Brings Yami over to join the hug).  Yami… I’m so sorry I left you alone….

Yami: I’m sorry I couldn’t help and protect you.

Kura: It’s fine Yami, after all you were younger, and it couldn’t be helped.

Yami: I-I… I know… But I’ll get stronger, I promise.

Kura: I know you will.

Hiki: All to protect those dearest to him… Doesn’t that sound like you master?

Chazz: (Is shocked for a second but smiles).  Yes, yes it does.

Kura: Yes, and Hiki I’m sorry I made you cry hearing that… You’re a very good friend for listening to me… Thank you….

Hiki: I always listen to my friend no matter how hard it is for me to hear it.  (Pulls away from Kura with a smile on a face yet tears still flowing).

Chazz: (Comes by Hiki and Kura).  Kura remember Hiki and Tori are part of me though I may not speak or show my emotions as much I can rely on them to show my part as I know the feeling of growing up fearing of seeing tomorrow or even have the chance.  I am glad Kairi gave you the chance to reunite and I know you two won’t be separated from her so easily since it’s a bond dear to you.  (Everyone can now see tears flowing down his face as well).

Jennifer: (Cries as well putting her hand to her mouth never seeing him cry like this).  Chazz….

Kura: (Smiles at Chazz).  I understand… And I need to thank you and Tori for accepting Yami, though it took a little time, and he can be a little hard to handle.  Thank you for giving him the chance.

Yami: (Holds onto Kura tighter looking away from Chazz and Tori).  … Sis….

Chazz: Well in actuality Tori and I had accepted Yami a good while ago after hearing things from Tori and Shizen and filling some parts.

Kura: I see well thank you for giving him the chance regardless.

Shizen: Every person has their side of a story that connects with others, and it goes on and on though most of what I know is your grandfather’s and grandmother’s side and how they stopped your father being there as well.

Kura: I see….

Tori: (Lays his arm on Kura’s shoulder).  Though our fathers are different in how things ended it doesn’t mean you two aren’t like family to me so no more hiding alright.

Kura: It is kind of hard to hide now since you know who I am now.

Yami: Yeah, and who said I was hiding from someone like you.  I’m not scared, I’ll fight you anytime, even now.  (Straightens up to hit Tori on the head but once he does, he crouches in pain grabbing his stomach where he was just healed).

Kura: (Sighs).  Idiot.

Tori: (Laughs).  Well, he’s your idiot brother.

Kura: (Reaches up and grabs Tori’s ear and pulls on it).  Now don’t call my brother an idiot, it’s not nice.

Yami: You just called me that….

Kura: And I have known you a long time and am your sister so I can get away with it.  (Smiles but looks a little scary).

Yami: … That makes no sense.

Kura: (Pulls on Yami’s ear as well pulling both Tori and Yami’s ears).

Yami: Ow let go!

Tori: Yes, yes.  (Gets Kura’s hand off his ear as he rubs it).

Kura: (Smiles innocently as she lets go of Yami who rubs his ear as well looking annoyed and then she laughs).  Well, whenever you two start fighting I will do that to you two at the end of the fight or knock some sense into you myself.

Kairi: … Isn’t Tori older than you so should he be in charge?

Kura: And who said that was a rule?

Hiki: Maybe I should do that to you too Tori.  (Grins at Tori).

Tori: Well, I think I could handle myself in a fight at least.

Kura: No, it’s not that it’s not like I am helping you fight.  I grabbed your ear too since you are technically family as well so I have to treat you like family, and Hiki I am glad I can give you ideas.  (Smiles at Hiki).

Tori: I see misfortune in my future.

Hiki: (Grins mischievously at Tori).  Now whatever could you mean Tori?

Kairi: It is fine Tori, if it helps, I will not pick on you.  Instead, I will give you lots of hugs.

Tori: (Smiles at Kairi).  Thank you, Kairi, you give hope that I will survive.

Hiki: Hmm any feelings behind that?

Tori: (Blushes in shock).  W-what are you saying Hiki?

Kura: (Smiles as she takes out on of her small books and writes in it getting a idea).

Jennifer: (Looks from Tori and Kairi that smiles a little and looks at Chazz with a small frown thinking of when he cried and wanting to help but is not sure of how).

Chazz: I will be fine milady, no need to worry.

Jennifer: I-I know but it is just that hearing about Kura and Yami’s past and yours too it is just… I cannot imagine how hard I must have been… And I complain about little things in my life to you and it feels selfish because you have had worse problems so why should I complain… I have no right to….  (Looks down gets teary eyes).

Chazz: Well yes life was hard for us and may not have been a luxury but right now we are happy so if you need to complain come to me anytime.  Do not feel like you cannot talk to me after hearing everything and cannot complain.  Everyone complains so there is no way around it.

Shizen: Everyone has problems in life, big and small but it helps to have at least one to talk to to vent those frustrations.

Jennifer: I see….  (Walks over and hugs Chazz and is still a little teary eyes).

Chazz: (Pets Jennifer’s head).  Thank you, milady… You gave me a chance to be happy again.

Jennifer: And I want you to continue being happy.  I will make sure of that.

Chazz: And I am so there is no need to worry.

Jennifer: Good.  (Smiles with a slight blush as she lets go of the hug and then look at Kairi, Kura and Yami).  Now we should start heading back… Are you sure you are fine to move?

Yami: Ehh sure it doesn’t hurt that much.

Kura: Yes, I can manage as well.

Kairi: I can as well, my shoulder just hurts.

Jennifer: (Looks at Kairi feeling bad she could not prevent her from getting hurt and gives Kairi a hug).

Kairi: (Winces a little from her shoulder trying to not show it hurts and hugs Jennifer back).

Hiki: Alright Jenny, you don’t want to injure everyone now.

Jennifer: (Pulls away looking at Kairi’s shoulder).  I am sorry… It looks like it is a really deep wound… I am sorry I could not do anything.

Kairi: It is alright sis, I just wanted to save Kura and Yami, so I rushed in.

Shizen: I must admit it is something to be proud of and also it took Luna a few hits to get through the barrier which is very impressive progress and instincts.

Kairi: I did good… But I could not protect then… If something happens, I want to be able to protect others, but I cannot now.  (Looks down a little as Jennifer hugs her but more genteelly).

Hiki: (Sits next to Kura and Tori sitting by Yami).  Well true you can’t do anything alone.

Tori: But at the same time, you are not alone at all.  (Pulls Yami to Kairi and Hiki doing the same to Kura).

Kura: Thank you but I can go over on my own.

Yami: Yeah, I don’t need help.  (Winces a little the fact being both him and Kura are pretty weak as Kura leans on Hiki and Yami leans on Tori.  Both not having the energy or are not in the condition to stand and walk well).

Hiki and Tori: Let us support you then.

Yami: I just said I don’t need it.  (Pouts grumpily).

Kura: Yami just accept the help.

Yami: … Fine.

Hiki and Tori: (Take Kura and Yami’s arms and puts it on their shoulders to help them walk).

Yami: … Thanks.

Kura: Yes, Hiki thank you as well.  (As she and Yami both walk being supported by Hiki and Tori with their hands on their stomachs).

Jennifer: We need some to help Maru even if he wakes up now.  He is in no condition to move.

Chazz: I could get him.  (As he walks over to Maru to pick him up).

Shizen: I can help him if you wish.

Jennifer: No Shizen that is alright, here I can help.

Kairi: No, I want to help.

Jennifer: No Kairi your shoulder is in not in any condition to do that.

Kairi: … Fine.

Chazz: Well, I am already carrying him on my back so let’s go.

Jennifer: I will walk with you then to his guest room.

Kairi: I hope he wakes up in the morning so I can tell him everything is alright.

Chazz: Yes, yes.  (Walks with everyone back to the mansion).

Shizen: Also, Kura, Yami I noticed that you gained new powers.

Yami: Yeah, I think, one of my knives changed I remember too.

Kura: And I only had one knife originally, but I gained a shield of some sort.

Chazz: Very interesting indeed.

Kura: We could also hear each other’s thoughts.

Yami: Yeah, never go in my head again.

Kura: I wasn’t trying to, and you were in my head too.

Yami: I wasn’t trying to be.

Hiki: Now, now your siblings now aren’t you, I thought that was normal?

Kura: Yes, it’s easy to tell what he thinks but I actually heard what he was thinking, and he heard me.

Hiki: Ohh anything interesting worth sharing?

Kura: Yami is very straight forward, he says what he thinks.

Yami: Not the same with you.  You have some weird stuff in your head but couldn’t really focus on it.

Hiki: (Laughs).  Maybe it was a good thing.  A girl’s mind is very complicated.

Kura: (Laughs).  Very true.

Shizen: Hmm new weapons, a connection to the others mind and probably new powers.  That sounds a lot like a first form besides the connection to their minds.

Kura and Yami: (Both give a confused look).  First form?

Chazz: As it seems so since both your resolves were unsteady and now, they are solid.

Shizen: Yes, and as for the talking through your minds I have heard of that a few times in twin spirits though they are extremely rare for spirits to have.  I am not sure about otherwise, perhaps it is because they become more connected through Kairi since they are both her spirits yet also related by blood as siblings.

Kairi: Wow I wish I could hear my sis thoughts.

Jennifer: … Umm please do not try.  I do not think I want you in my head.  (Thinks of all the moments she had thought of Chazz).

Kairi: (Pouts).  Aww no fun.

Tori: But makes sense.

Hiki: I bet they are filled with master or how she felt-.

Chazz: (Covers Hiki’s mouth).  That is enough Hiki.

Jennifer: (Blushes heavily and looks away).

Kairi: (Laughs and so does Kura).  But what about Hiki and Tori, what would you do if you could read each other’s thoughts.

Hiki: I would tease him a lot or just ask him for snacks.

Tori: (Thinks of his answer).  I would be scared of what I think of and still talk to Hiki normally.

Kairi: (Laughs).  It would be fun though.

Jennifer: Umm let’s drop everyone off at their rooms, Maru’s room is on the way so let’s stop there first.

Chazz: Yes madam.

Hiki and Tori: Yes.  (Both still carry Kura and Yami).

Kairi: I hope he will be alright.

Chazz: From what I hear from carrying him that his breathing has become regular again.

Jennifer: Good I am glad he will make it.

Kairi: Me to, he is really nice, so he needs to live.

Maru: (Says in his sleep).  Smile… As bright… As the moon….

Kairi: Yay he spoke.

Jennifer: I think it was in his sleep.

Kairi: But still, it means he will be alright, and Luna will be too.  (Whispers to herself and then smiles as she looks through the window at the moon as she smiles).  Smile as bright as the moon.

Chazz: More likely he is just recovering energy.

Jennifer: Well, he can take all the time he needs.  (Arrives at Maru’s door and she opens it for everyone who walks through).

Chazz: (As he walks in with Maru, he wakes up a little).

Maru: W-where am I?

Kairi: Oh, Maru your up, how are you feeling?  (As she walks over looking at Maru with concern).

Maru: (Smiles seeing Kairi).  Ah… Kairi… Yes, I am alright, think… I feel like I’m floating into sleep again….

Kairi: That is fine, I will see you tomorrow, but I am glad everyone is getting along again and that everything can be happy again.

Maru: That… Is good… Luna is fine… Too.  She says thank… You….  (Falls back to sleep).

Hiki: Well, looks like he is gone back to sleep.

Kairi: Well, I am glad he woke up though even if it was only for a moment.

Jennifer: Yes, here I will help you get Maru in bed.  (Pulls away the covers so Chazz can place Maru down and she can tuck him in).

Chazz: Thank you madam.  (Places Maru down into the bad).

Jennifer: (She tucks Maru into bed carefully).  There, much easier then when I got Amber tucked in for bed.  He moves around less.

Chazz: Well, he is younger than Amber and more exhausted.

Jennifer: True still is kind of adorable, now shall we get going then?

Kairi: Goodnight Maru.  (Hugs Maru as he lies there and sleeps then smiles as she begins to leave with everyone).

Hiki: (Pokes at Kairi’s cheek).  Having feelings now are you Kairi?

Kairi: Hmm I’m not sure…?  He is very nice but….  (Looks from Tori to Maru a couple of times as she thinks).

Hiki: (Pauses in a look of thought).  Well… Maybe both wouldn’t be as bad, but Maru already told you how he feels about since you became his star in the shinning night.

Kairi: I am not sure.  I mean Maru’s nice… But I do not know if he’s the one for me….  Do I have to choose?  (Pouts a little).

Kura: (Laughs).  Well, it looks like I should make books of that pair as well.

Kairi: (Gives a confused look).

Hiki: (Whispers to Kura).  Yes, please Kura.  (Looks at Kairi).  Well, you have time to decide.

Kairi: I guess so.  (As they walk Kairi looks at Tori more and more with a slight blush).

Kura: (Whispers back to Hiki).  I think she will pick Tori in all honesty.

Hiki: I know but Maru would be the safer choice since he wouldn’t want her heart to be broken by time.

Kura: … True but who said love was always safe and I would be more concerned for Tori with time being the issue… He will live on after all.  (Frowns at the thought).

Hiki: True enough but could Tori though is the question.

Kura: I’m not sure….

Shizen: (Who has been standing behind them).  I’m not sure, quite a sollum conversion of the future you are having.  I mean there are ways to prolong life even for one to become spirit like but at a heavy cost.

Hiki: (Doesn’t seem surprised at this point and sighs).  Tori wouldn’t be happy with that.  All he would want is for someone he cares about not to be put at risk for him and I should know that by now.

Shizen: Of course, but she would not be harmed the problem is that whoever is making that happen must go into their 4th form to do that.  A life for a life to put it short.

Kura: I see, not a logical option then… It is quite a problem later on but for now… It’s cute.

Hiki: I guess so.

Kura: Indeed.

Yami: (Stumbles as he is walking with Tori and most of his weight on Tori.  Leaning on him more and more over the time they had been walking also looking weaker and paler).

Tori: You alright there Yami.  Not having trouble, are we?

Yami: Nah I’m fine don’t… Worry about it.

Kura: Yami… He can’t regain his energy.  He absorbs it.  When we were stabbed through Luna was draining our energy rather quickly with light and if he doesn’t absorb dark energy, he gets sick.

Yami: Sis… I’m fine….

Tori: Silly, silly here.  (Puts his hand on Yami’s head to give a bit of his energy but not too much).  Feeling a bit better?

Yami: Thanks, but I don’t need it.  I’ll manage and go out into the forest like usual.

Kura: And that’s how you absorb large amounts of darkness without affecting Chazz or Tori.  Very smart and shows that you care about their safety.

Yami: … Well, I never said that….

Hiki: But yet you are not denying it either hmm Yami?

Tori: (Sighs).

Yami: Hey shut it, I just hurt a lot of people that way, so I try to stay away is all.

Shizen: Hmm how much energy do you need to keep going every day?

Yami: I don’t know just absorb enough until I’m at full power usually or don’t feel weak at least.

Kura: Let’s see he usually stays outside like he has for an hour or so, so at the rate you see him normally absorb but for a hour each night.

Yami: Ehh more if I lose track of time, it’s relaxing to do that.

Tori: Alright do you want me to take you to the forest then?

Hiki: Kura you want to go with him or go back to Kairi’s room?

Yami: Nah I can make it on my own.

Kura: Liar.

Yami: Shut up I can!

Kura: I am sure I don’t need to go with though.

Hiki: Well, we are at the room finally then.

Jennifer: Here let me get the door.  All 3 of you look very tired.

Kairi: I’m not that tired.  (As she then yawns).

Jennifer: Uh huh sure you are not.  Now here I will help you get ready for bed and change your bandages.

Kura: I think I will sleep as well.

Jennifer: (Nods and goes into Kairi’s closet with her to help her get ready for bed being careful of her arm).

Hiki: Yes, I’ll come in.

Tori: Now what about you Yami?

Yami: Guess I’ll wait until I get my energy back up to go outside.

Kura: Yami you know full well your energy doesn’t work like that so stop being modest.

Yami: Hey!

Tori: Well Miss Kura where should I put him then?

Yami: … Fine I guess just put me outside near the forest.  It should be far enough after a bit.  I can get back on my own easily enough then.

Kura: Thank you for admitting it.

Tori: (Chuckles).  Finally, you are honest and let’s get going.

Kura: He’s light weight since he’s around 10.  He’s probably easy to carry there but I hope it’s no trouble.

Yami: Hey I can get there without being carried, let alone having to lean on you so there.

Kura: What have you been doing this whole time?

Yami: … Umm being lazy?

Kura: liar.

Tori: I will drop you here Yami if you don’t want that then let’s go.

Yami: … Fine let’s go.

Kura: Have fun.

Kairi: (Comes out wearing her favorite pink nightgown with a clean bandage on her shoulder and gives Tori and Yami a hug before they leave wincing a little then moves her shoulder, so it is more comfortable).  Goodnight and see you tomorrow.

Tori: (Bows and leaves with Yami as Chazz and Hiki follow him).  Goodnight and rest well Kairi.

Hiki: (Hugs Kairi quickly before she leaves).  You did well today, now rest.

Kairi: Thank you goodnight.

Jennifer: Goodnight, everyone, see you in the morning.

Shizen: Farewell.

Kura: (Has already fallen asleep on Kairi’s bed).

Yami: (As they leave).  Yeah umm… All of you don’t have to drop me off at the forest.

Tori: Well then where are we taking you then?

Hiki: Hmm.  (Looks at Chazz as she thinks with a small blush).

Yami: I usually go to the darkest part of the forest I can find but right outside of the forest should be far enough I think for you to not be affected.

Tori: No, I’m going to at least take you there.  I’ll leave as soon as I drop you off or just Hiki could take you since she won’t be affected.

Yami: I can just wait a few minutes before I start absorbing darkness for you to get away.

Tori: Let’s get going then, Master, Hiki I will see you later.

Chazz: (Shakes his head as Tori bolts off with Yami).

Hiki: (Blushes saving what she says until Tori leaves).  M-master can I ask you something…?

Chazz: Of course, Hiki, what is it?

Hiki: (Looks down with a huge blush falling over her face and stays silent).

Chazz: (Gives a questioning look wondering what is coming over Hiki).

Hiki: Well… Umm say I was a normal human girl, and I was… A maid here… Would you say… You would like me… Being around you all the time….

Chazz: I don’t see how that changes things from now.

Hiki: (Has a deep blush not looking straight at Chazz).  Just answer me please….

Chazz: Well, umm… If I did not know you and you were a normal girl I would say yes.  I would like you being around because you can make people smile by how funny and kind you can be Hiki.

Hiki: Master… Now let me ask another question….

Chazz: Alright then sure go ahead.

Hiki: (Plays with her fingers looking down a little as she blushes).  If I was this normal girl… Would their maybe be a chance you could… Umm… Lov-… Stay by my side no matter what….

Chazz: Well, why wouldn’t I Hiki.  You are very nice person and great to be around and I would have to add that you are quite pretty to say the least.

Hiki: Master… Would you love me….

Chazz: (Stops in his tracks to look back at Hiki).  Hiki….

Hiki: (Has tears in her eyes because of the nervousness she is feeling).

Chazz: … I think I would but… For now….  (Stumbles over his words never even considering such things before).

Hiki: (Looks at Chazz and he can see the full expression on her face of fear, sadness and yet joy).

Chazz: Let me figure out me own feelings because I do-.

Hiki: (Cuts Chazz off by putting her fingers on his lips).  No explaining but yes I will wait… I will always be waiting for you Chazz….

Chazz: (Embraces Hiki for a moment to comfort her since he didn’t answer her fully).

Hiki: (Wipes her tears away after a moment and starts to walk again as she pulls Chazz along).  Gosh that is good to get off my chest.  Let’s get going master, it’s time to rest.

Chazz: But Hiki….

Hiki: (Stops and looks at Chazz again).  It’s fine master I know you are not that good when it comes to this type of stuff, but my feelings won’t change if I have to wait.  Just know that I love you and I have been loving you for a while so take all the time you need, and I will always be there for you….

Chazz: (Shakes his head not knowing what else to say).

Hiki: Now then let’s get to bed.  (Is in front of Chazz now so she can cry a little but still stands by her feeling to wait and face forward with Chazz).

Jennifer: (Had overheard Hiki’s confession as she left Kairi’s room soon after smiles as tears form in her eyes feeling happy for Hiki and as she walks into her room and falls into bed, she thinks about it over and over again in her head and how brave Hiki is and wishing she could do the same).

 

Meanwhile as Tori bring Yami outside.

Yami: Hey no need to rush, if I lean on you, I can’t keep up.

Tori: Well, you know how the moonlight was setting in the hallway as we were walking and it’s alright, we can walk from here.

Yami: Fine.  (Makes it outside leaning on Tori for support but stumbles every minute or two as they walk).  … Thanks.

Tori: (Gives a confused look).  For what?

Yami: Being family when I thought I had none and for saving Kairi and Kura just in time like that… Thank you for being my friend… Or uncle… Brother… I mean well my grandpa’s son so that makes you family, I guess.  It’s a little confusing to me I guess since never saw you but anyways… Thanks for being a friend now.

Tori: Idiot I have always been your friend.  Even before I knew who you were just didn’t see it.  You have a lot of friends not just me.

Yami: Yeah, it’s different then what I’m used to but it’s a good thing to get used to.  (Comes to a big tree that is almost pitch black under it).  I think here is a good place to leave me.

Tori: Well, if you need me just yell really loud and Kura will come to get you, I bet.  (He says with a grin on his face).

Yami: (Laughs weakly as he sits under the tree only his eyes that glow a little can be seen in the darkness but Tori able to see him fine being a dark spirit).  Yeah, your right.  Now get going I’ll give you 5 minutes to get away, is that enough time?

Tori: Yeah, I’ll be heading out now.  Are you sure you don’t need me nearby?

Yami: Nah I would be taking your energy.  I’ll be fine just need to get my energy back and I’ll be strong enough to make it back on my own so don’t worry about it.

Tori: If you’re sure well then, I’m out then Yami, goodnight.  (Waves as he begins to walk away).  Also, one more thing, Master Nagi would be proud of you two.

Yami: (Looks surprised but then tear up a little looking up with a smile).  … Thanks.
