Chapter 22

Luna: (She calls out to the boy).  Hello Yami.

Yami: (Turns quickly being startled as Luna can see his red eyes glowing in the dark as he settles down realizing who it is putting his knife away from being startled as he takes a breath).  Hey… What up, kind of early.

Luna: (Sees him put away the knife but does not ask).  Well, I could say the same for you Yami.

Yami: (Shrugs hopping down from the tree branch only to sit on the ground against the tree).  Not like I sleep anyways.

Luna: Though you really should, maybe you wouldn’t look so tired all the time then.

Yami: Nah I get my energy this way so don’t really need it.  Haven’t really slept in a long time… Not that I can really… Oh well… What can you do?  (He tries to shrug it off like it’s nothing).

Luna: (She pats his head as she bends down).  If you say so Yami just be careful alright.  Just saying maybe sleeping next to someone like Kairi would make things easier but that’s just me.

Yami: … Sure… I guess….  (As Luna pats his head, she notices he’s tensed up like something’s wrong.  Like something’s troubling his mind as he looks down).

Luna: (Feeling the same worry that Maru has sometimes she gets on her knees as she keeps his hand on his head).  What’s wrong Yami… You can’t lie out of this.

Yami: (Looks around a little with a small laugh).  I think this same place we were first fighting… Sort of… Must have lost a lot to get that mad… Huh… Guess that happens a lot with everything going on….

Luna: Don’t try to change the subject… But I understand what you mean… And yes, it was a lot.

Yami: (As he is looking down).  I guess whatever happened must have been really bad for you… Don’t blame you for trying kill me though… Thought I was a monster like… Well, you know… And have to protect everyone right…?  Pretty hard job….

Luna: (She looks down and takes her hand off Yami).  It wasn’t you… It was your dad… When the incident happened… My husband and child were staying at the nearby village to get some things that we could only get there… But then… I didn’t hear back from them at all… And then I heard about what happened even away from the fighting… I understand it wasn’t your fault… It’s just the rage I had blinded me….

Yami: (Says nothing for a long moment).  … I see… Sorry… Must have been hard… And don’t blame yourself for coming at me… Look like him after all… So, get that a lot… But you lost a lot… So many people did… And it’s not like I didn’t take people away too….  (His fists clench as he continues to look downwards).

Luna: No, it wasn’t because you looked like him physically… It was just the ability that blinded me… So regardless I still say I’m sorry for my rage and blindness to the truth… Plus give yourself some credit… You’re a good person Yami.

Yami: (Looks away).  Yeah, guess the ability got us into some trouble… Oh well not like I control it… But thanks… But if I really was like you thought…, Would you do all of that again… If I did become a monster.  (He looks downwards, Luna unable to see his face).

Luna: (After some time to think to herself).  Yami….  (She places her hand on his shoulder).  No, I couldn’t.

Yami: (Pauses before responding).  That’s… Not the answer I needed.  (He looks up at Luna, she able to see the serious look in his glowing red eyes).  I needed a promise….

Luna: (She can see clearly what the meaning in his eyes… They are scared and worried).  Alright… If worse comes to worse… I will put you down.

Yami: (Continues to look into Luna’s eyes seriously).  … You promise?

Luna: Only so that your sister doesn’t have to do it herself.

Yami: (He looks down again hiding his face with a small smile as if relieved and sighs).  … Good… Thanks.

Luna: (She hugs him).  No problem… Though I hope it doesn’t come to that.

Yami: (Continues to look downwards not hugging back).  Yeah… But just in case I guess… Thanks.

 

Yami and Luna continue to sit there as the dark night fades away to dawn as people start to wake.  Mostly servants are waking up at first as well as invited guests planning to leave early.  Some of the household wakes as well as the sun is just about to show since Amber is to be leaving as well into town to meet with the merchants and join them.  Jennifer gets up early just to say farewell not letting her tiredness get in the way of it though looking outside she can see it is getting a little cloudy and hoping it doesn’t rain that day.  She gets dressed in the new dress Kairi had gotten her yesterday and begins to head into the hall noticing Chazz is not in his room assuming he is already helping Amber.  She makes her way down the hall until she sees Amber making sure she has everything with Cordelia right beside her as well as Rowen.  Chazz is there helping load the luggage seeing they are almost done, and Jennifer goes up to everyone to see if she could help.

Jennifer: (Goes up to Amber first with a big smile though still looks tired as she has a cup of tea a maid had brought her).  Good morning, wow everyone is up so early.

Amber: (As Chazz is still busy helping her).  Oh, good morning, Jennifer, and yes everyone wanted an early start on things

Jennifer: Here let me help as well then.  (She puts down her tea and walks with Amber bringing things out).  Are you sure you have to leave so early; you are welcome to stay longer?

Amber: Well, knowing my parents they probably figured out where I am by now.  In that case the sooner I leave the less likely I will be bother to everyone because of them.

Jennifer: (Pauses for a moment then hugs Amber).  Just remember your not a bother to us alright and I just hope where you are going you are happier and can-do things that are your choice and not pushed into anything.

Amber: Yes….  (She hugs Jennifer back).  With the way things seems to be going… I do not expect anything to go bad but lead a new life in a whole new world.

Jennifer: I look forward to hearing about every adventure you have but we will miss you here.  Kairi and I both will but we are happy for you.  Now if only I could track her down to say goodbye as well.  She is always wandering off somewhere.  (She laughs a little).

Amber: (She laughs as well being happy with the last couple of days feeling like she would not replace them for the world).

Jennifer: (They continue to talk as they talk to each other as Cordelia walks up to them with Rowen and Chazz).

Cordelia: (Curtsies formally).  Amber excuse me but I think we have all your things packed oh and Jennifer I hope the tea helped with waking up more.

Jennifer: (Pouts).  I can wake early easily sometimes.

Cordelia: (Laughs).  No that would be your sister.

Jennifer: (Pouts more knowing her mom is right).

Rowen: (He laughs alongside Chazz).  We all on how much of a sleepy head you can be Mis Jennifer.

Chazz: No comment….

Jennifer: (Continues to pout about everyone knowing her so well).

Cordelia: (Calms down from laughing).  Enough picking on my daughter now I think it is about time to leave.  Are you ready Amber?

Amber: Umm actually is it alright if I borrow Chazz for a little bit?  (She says this more towards Jennifer).

Jennifer: (Is taken by surprise but nods).  Umm alright… If it is fine with Chazz though really.

Chazz: (He is taken by surprise as well).  Well… Um I believe it will be alright than.

Jennifer: (Nods getting a idea of what Amber needs to say and starts to figure out where to go deciding to look for Kairi).

Cordelia: (Steps away as well with Rowen to talk with him).

Amber: (As she is walking off with Chazz into the nearby hallway).  Well… Chazz….

Chazz: (It seems he was spacing out).  Yes Amber, what is it?

Amber: (She blushes a little not looking towards him).  Do you remember… The times I played with you when you were younger.  Even when you were with your family, we still played together….

Chazz: (He has to think a little to reclaim the memory but then he nods).  Yes… I do… Somehow, I could just always tell when you were nearby, and it made me happy

Amber: (She is a little shocked).  It made you… Happy?

Chazz: Yes, yes it did because you were such a playful and caring person… That having someone like you to play with… Made me feel excited to be in town everyday… Just to see you smile and laugh… And make all kind of memories together of silly games.

Amber: (She says silent for a moment).  You are not fair….  (Now out loud again).  Well with all the memories we have together… I want to add one more special one I hope you keep in your heart.

Chazz: (He smiles).  I will always cherish it.

Amber: Good!  Now close your eyes for me really quick.

Chazz: (Not sure what she has in mind he closes his eyes.  As he does this, he feels a soft sensation on his lips that having had this same feeling with Jennifer he knows what it is).

Amber: (As he kisses him, she cannot help but feel a relief and as she pulls away from the kiss she says).  I have loved you Chazz for a long time now… But for now, I guess my chance is gone… So that is one I am moving on to other things… Do not get me wrong I will always cherish you and love you… But if I have a chance another day… You got to let me know alright?  But regardless… I will say it again… I love you with all my heart….  (As she pulls away more, she smiles greatly with a blush spread across her face).

Chazz: (He opens his eyes in shock).  Amber… I-.

Amber: (She puts her finger on his lips).  No, no… Cherish this moment as much as I am… But do not waste a girl’s feelings alright?

Chazz: (He smiles).  Alright… I shall cherish this memory… Forever….

Amber: Good now shall we head back then Chazz?  (She raises her arm hoping to be escorted properly).

Chazz: Alright… Amber we shall get going now.  (He begins to escort her back to the main corridor.

Cordelia: (Sees Chazz and Amber exiting the hallway and starts to approach them with Rowen as she nods understanding the goodbye was needed).  Amber are you ready to get going then?  The merchants plan to leave town this afternoon but perhaps sooner depending on how the weather is.

Amber: Yes….  (She looks at Chazz for a second then back to Cordeila with a blush).  I am all set to go now.

Cordelia: (Nods and smiles).  Very well then, we shall head out to the carriage.  (She pauses looking at Rowen).  Rowen, I request you stay here with my daughters if you do not mind.  At most I will only be gone for today.

Rowen: (He bows).  As you wish madam.

Cordelia: (Curtsies and smiles more).  Thank you, Rowen.  (She turns to Amber again).  Now shall we get going Amber?

Rowen: (He bows as well, as does Chazz).

Amber: (She smiles).  Yes!

Cordelia: (Nods and curtsies with Amber to Chazz and Rowen then turns to leave outside with her waving to them as she leaves).  I leave you in charge of the household as I am gone Rowen and good luck with Shizen this morning.

Rowen: Yes… I shall do my best since I have heard stories from Orion.

Cordelia: I am sure things will be interesting.  (She laughs as she heads outs with Amber with one last wave farewell).

 

Amber leaves to her new life escorted by Cordelia as in another area of the mansion Jennifer looks through the halls to try and find Kairi being confused to where she had gone so early.  She does not realize right away that she is in the guest’s area in a sitting and part library type room with one of the guests.  It is Maru that runs into them first hearing Kairi’s giggle and a softer shy voice he remembers well from meeting her last night as he is approaching the more open area.

Maru. (As he approaches the room, he is surprised to see Hailey and Kairi together since their personalities are a bit different).  Oh, hey Kairi, Hailey good morning.  (As he gets closer, he can see Kairi and Hailey sitting on the floor both still in their nightgowns still.  Kairi’s the pink one she had gotten from her birthday and Hailey in a longer sleeve nightgown with the same type of skirt but a light blue with some pink trimmings and borders around the skirt.  They both have a big pile of yarn surrounding them with both having a pair of wooden knitting needles and making what looks like a scarf.  Hailey’s project looks a lot neater and well crafted while Kairi’s is a little messier since she is more of a beginner).

Kairi: (Gets a bright smile seeing Maru).  Good morning, Maru, Hailey is teaching me how to knit!

Hailey: (Hears that Maru is there and stop getting a faint blush and small smile).  … H-hi Maru.

Maru: (He blushes seeing the both of them in night gowns).  Oh… Hey and sounds fun.

Kairi: (Holds up her knitting needles with not too bad of an attempt at a scarf with dark pink yarn).  It really is!  (She holds her project up to Hailey excitedly).  Hailey, am I doing it right?

Hailey: (Pauses and puts her almost fully completed light blue scarf down and reaches for Kairi’s project running her hands across every stitch carefully and once done goes back to one point where there looks a little off).  I-I think you missed a stitch here… It is like this….  (She starts to carefully lift the stitch to put it back on the knitting needle).
Kairi: (Has a big smile as she tries it again).  Thank you, wow you are so good at this!

Hailey: (Blushes being a little embarrassed by the praise but nods).  T-thank you….

Maru: (He looks at Hailey’s scarf).  Wow it really does seem good, and it seems so soft.

Hailey: (Blushes more as she looks downwards a bit flusteredly holding out the scarf for Maru to see).  Umm… T-thank you… My mom taught me when I was little.

Maru: (Realizes what he says and blushes a little as he sits down next to the two girls).  Well, it is still amazing.

Hailey: (Nods and continues to blush heavily).

Kairi: (Looks between Maru and Hailey and giggles a little).  Maybe Hailey can teach you as well.  It is really cool being able to make all of this.  She even made me these purple cat ears, their so cute.  (She picks up a headband with knitted cat ears attached).

Hailey: (Hears that the cat ears are purple and starts to become more flustered that she had made a mistake).  W-wait purple, I am sorry I thought they were pink, I am sorry….

Kairi: (Smiles and puts the headband on giving Hailey a hug which surprises her).  It is alright, purple is pretty too do not worry!

Maru: (He laughs).  Yes, it still looks great so do not get apologetic Hailey… Everything is fine.

Hailey: (Still is surprised but gets a small smile).  As long as you like it….

Kairi: I do so do not worry!

Maru: (He smiles at the sight of the two hugging; happy they are having a good time together).

Kairi: (Let’s go of the hug and has a big smile).  I guess we should get ready for the day now.  Ooh maybe we can all have breakfast together today.

Hailey: (Nods).  Sounds nice… But I may have to go home a little after… Sorry….

Kairi: It is alright you are welcome to come back too, and I am sure Maru will visit you too.

Maru: (He speaks in a more happy and energizing tone).  Yes, I will come over anytime to see you again… Or maybe I could visit your house too… Kairi.

Hailey: (Gets a small, sweet smile towards Maru).  Thank you… Maru.  (She faces towards his direction with the sweet expression).

Kairi: (Has a bright smile looking at Maru).  Of course, you are welcome here any time!

Maru: (He smiles as he stands up and holds out both of his hands for the girls to grab to bring them back up).

Kairi: (Takes Maru’s hand and curtsies happily with a giggle).  Thank you, Maru.

Hailey: (Gives a confused look being not sure of what is happening since she is not able to see Maru’s hand).

Maru: (He sighs in his embarrassment).  Oh yes, I forgot, here Hailey.  (He takes her hand gently and holds it which Hailey can feel a sort of affection in his hold).  Let’s head back to everyone alright.

Hailey: (Feels Maru’s soft hold and stands as she begins to blush as well stumbling a little in the curtsies not realizing how close he is to her).  I-I umm… Thank you….

Maru: (He blushes as well, and Kairi just laughs at the sight knowing something is starting to see how they feel towards each other).  Oh… Yes, no problem.

Kairi: (Can tell they like each other even though they just met yesterday and decides to go somewhere else to leave them alone together as she makes an excuse).  Oh, umm I have to go get something from my room so I will see you after everyone is up and ready alright?

Maru: (He takes a second to think about what she just said).  Oh, alright then, we can wait here, I guess.

Kairi: I think breakfast is being made downstairs too and if it does not rain, we can even go outside hopefully so maybe we can go out there.  (She has a big smile as she starts to skip away).

Hailey: (Has a small smile).  I like the rain though… It is nice sometimes.

Kairi: Then we can go outside either way!  (She giggles and waves goodbye so she can go get changed and ready for the day.  As she starts to skip through the hall, she bumps into her sister who had been looking for her).

Jennifer: (Sighs relieved that she had found Kairi).  There you are, why are you still in your nightgown.

Kairi: Oh, I was learning how to knit from Hailey!

Jennifer: (Smiles and laughs a little).  I am glad you were having fun but come on now let’s get dressed.  We may even do a little training today as well.

Kairi: Yay!  (She gets an excited look and zooms off towards her room which makes Jennifer laugh more as she follows at a slower pace).

 

Everyone is getting ready for the day with Hiki, Tori and Kura having just finished up some cleaning around the mansion and taking a break.  All three walk through one hall near the backyard and see Shizen sitting on a tree stump as she drinks some tea with her eyes closed.  They decide to go outside in the fresh air as well feeling that it is just cloudy, and it doesn’t seem like rain would come until later.

Kura: (Is beside Hiki and Tori as they go up to Shizen and smile).  Good morning Shizen, I hope you slept well.

Shizen: (Winces a little hearing the voice with a small laugh).  You may want to come back when I finish tea and when your voices sound softer honestly.

Hiki: Oh… Sorry Shizen… We will just go off for now than.

Shizen: (Laughs more).  There’s no need to, I will be fine.  Beside I wanted to have a lesson for Tori this morning.  Hiki we will focus on your ability more later though since you both are able to access your third forms.

Tori: (He and Hiki look at each other wondering what she has in mind).  Ok then?

Shizen: (Takes a big drink from her cup of tea then continues with her eyes glowing green).  Best to focus on one new ability at a time though Tori how are you at flying now?  I have noticed you have the basics well, but it seems you can only keep them for a few moments at a time for now, correct?

Tori: (As he brings out his wings).  Well, I can keep them out for a long time now, so I think I’m getting the hang of them.

Shizen: (Gets a big grin and stands up as she finishes her tea).  Well maybe we should put that to the test now, perhaps build on your skills as well.

Tori: Umm ok then I guess?

Shizen: Most of it relies on instinct which we will be testing today… With a little help as well.  (As she says that something flies towards them out of the trees and once close, they can see it is the falcon they had brought back from the festival.  It flies high and the dives straight down as Shizen lifts her arm the falcon instantly slowing to land on her arm and make chirping noise at Tori as Shizen pets it getting a prideful look from it).

Hiki: It’s the falcon from before… It really did stay in the forest nearby… So cool!  (She gets all excited from the falcon).

Tori: Yeah, I guess…. Huh having a bird for a teacher will be interesting.

Shizen: (Laughs).  Well, I believe birds are quite used to flying, and a falcon like this young girl here are one of the best at it so it makes sense to follow her example since your wings seem to be a similar shape to a falcon.  (As the falcon hops from Shizen’s arm to Tori’s shoulder and chirps, picking at his hair affectionately).

Kura: (Looks at the falcon with an amused smile).  Still seems to have a little crush on you Tori.

Tori: (He smiles as he pets the falcon gently).  Well, I think it’s pretty cute too.  (The falcon raffles it’s feathers chirps at Tori in response).

Shizen: (Looks amused as well).  Well, she says she knows she’s a pretty bird honestly.  (She laughs at the prideful look the bird has as it looks around).  Quite a prideful creature honestly but shall we go to a little further of a area.  I believe I found a good area for you to practice.

Tori: (He keeps petting the falcon).  Ok take me to where you want Shizen, and she does seem very full of themselves now doesn’t she?

Hiki: (She has sudden uneasy feeling but does not say anything).

Shizen: Very well, good luck with this then.  (She grins and takes the rest of her tea with her and starts to head towards the woods with the small group following behind).

Kura: (Follows as well but then sees Yami sitting against a tree with Luna as they are walking and gives a confused look).  Yami, Luna? Why are you two out here?

Yami: (Sees Kura and the others and gets up starting to walk towards them).  Hey not much, what about you guys?

Kura: We are just tagging along to watch Tori learn a few things about flying from Shizen.

Yami: (Shrugs nonchalantly).  Ok, I guess.

Kura: (Looks at Yami and gets a sense that something is wrong looking from Yami and Luna trying to figure it out but having difficulty).

Luna: Oh umm… I just meet up with Yami for a bit by accident but if it is this early already then, I may need to go back Inside.  Excuse me everyone.  (She curtsies as she leaves just as fast as everyone had seen her).

Kura: (Still gives a confused look as Luna leaves then looks back at Yami).  What did you two talk about?

Yami: (Shrugs acting like nothing was talked about).  Not much really, just sitting there.

Kura: (Narrows her eyes at Yami able to tell when he is not as truthful easily but plans to ask later since they are on their way somewhere).  Do you want to tag along with us?

Yami: Sure, not much else going on.  (He stretches and starts to walk with the group looking towards Tori).  So, what are you doing?

Hiki: Shizen said she wanted to help Tori learn how to fly better so we are just walking to the area she is leading us too for that.

Yami: Huh ok.  (He seems indifferent about the whole thing as he tags along).

Shizen: Don’t worry, we will be there soon.  (As they continue to speed through the forest to get there faster staying behind Shizen to follow it’s a few moments before Yami gets impatient).

Yami: (Asks in annoyed tone).  Hey, are we there yet?  How far away is this place?

Shizen: Have patience, we are almost there.

Kura: (Sighs).  I don’t think little Yami has any.

Yami: (Looks even more grumpy and annoyed at the comment).  Hey, I’m not little and just asking didn’t know it would be this far!  (The falcon caws at him and he glares at it feeling like it is talking back at him as he mumbles).  Stupid bird.  (As he says that the falcon starts to fly over at him and peck him before flying back to Tori).  Hey not cool!

Tori: (He laughs a bit but can’t help feeling nervous knowing on how extreme Shizen can be when she is teaching).

Yami: (Starts to run ahead of everyone since he wants to get there faster).

Shizen: (Sighs).  I wouldn’t go ahead of us if I were him.

Hiki: (She gets confused when suddenly hearing Yami panic about something).

Yami: (Can be heard beyond the greenery saying something and then yelling out).  Oh shit!

Shizen: (Sighs again).  Well, I think we should slow down some or else you may be doing the same as him.

Kura: Yami are you ok!  (She yells as she approaches the area with caution going through the bushes and then pausing in complete surprised seeing that they are on a giant cliff that would be quite dangerous falling off which she nearly does as Hiki helps to catch her before she does as she makes a small yell from it).

Hiki: Whoa their Kura!  (She catches Kura and pulls her back up and makes a sigh of relief).  Why a cliff Shizen?

Kura: (Clings to Hiki from the fright being thankful to her and that she’s not falling at the moment).

Shizen: (Looks down the cliff looking for a good area).  It’s a good area to dive from.

Yami: Get me up dammit!  (Tori first notices he is just over the cliff and is holding onto a tree root coming out of the cliff for dear life looks for anything to reach to get back up being a little panicked).

Tori: Oh, hey Yami how’s it hanging.  (He laughs to himself as he helps Yami get back up).

Yami: (Yells being angry about the sudden cliff).  Not funny, why didn’t you tell me, I could have died!   (Once helped up he gets on to of the nearest tree possible to get away from the cliff).

Shizen: (Sighs and the root goes back into the cliff like it was meant to catch Yami).  You should thank me for catching you honestly.  Diving down there is not meant for you.

Tori: Um guessing it’s for me then?

Shizen: (Grins and nods).  Yes, that’s why you were brought out here.  Though I wish I could have found a higher cliff, but this will do.

Kura: (Looks down the cliff a little though still holding onto Hiki from almost falling).  Higher than this?

Hiki: I don’t think you could go higher….

Tori: Well, what do you want me to do now Shizen?  (He ignores the comment about the cliff height).

Shizen: I will let our little friend do a demonstration for you.  Watch closely now.  (She says this as the falcon lands on her arm and she takes out a small pouch which the falcon looks very interested in turning out there are slices of meat as treats for it as she holds one up for it looking directly at it as if talking with it through her mind.  She then goes to the edge of the highest point on the cliff and where there is a lake on the bottom and drops the treat waiting a second or two before the falcon gets the signal to go.  The falcon instantly dives after the treat at a fast speed being about 200 miles per hour with its wings tucked in making its body seem in the shape of a teardrop as it hones in on its target.  Just before it hits the ground the falcon spreads its wings wide and grabs the piece of food with outstretched claws as it then glides nearby to enjoy its food).

Tori: (as he begins to admire the movements of the falcon) wow….

Yami: (looks at the falcon with a similar expression) so he’s supposed to jump and do that… good luck dude.

Shizen: (looks at Tori directly a little more seriously now) yes, a falcon is the fastest bird known with excellent diving instinct. In this type of dive can be deadly without that instinct but we’re about to test how your instincts in flying will fair. It’s like feeling your own moments and air as you are diving and perfect timing as well. It is a instinct where you must focus on your target and not allow yourself to be distracted.

Tori: (as he begins to process everything as he goes near the edge with his wings out) alright… time to take a dive now… and just focus.

Shizen: (Steps away looking at Tori closely).  Close your eyes and feel the breeze like the feelings you get when gliding through the air then open them and harness that feeling but more intense rushing past you.  Like the bird of prey focus on that one thing you aim for, let that instinct take over and strive for it fiercely.

Tori: (He walks up to the very edge of the cliff).  Ok… Well, it’s time to fly then.

Shizen: (Nods).  Take your time with it.  (She puts a finger to her lips as a sign to be quiet to the others as she steps closer behind Tori without him noticing).

Tori: (As he readies his wings and himself for this he breathes in and out).

Hiki: (She just looks with a worried expression on her face).

Shizen: (Before he is fully ready to dive, she places a hand on Tori’s back with just enough force that he would go over, doing so without warning as everyone else looks at her shocked).

Tori: Aghh Shizen!  (He yells as he falls and begins to panic a little, but he knows panicking will not help since he may die.  Because of that he begins to focus on his wings and go into the diving formation that he saw before.  More and more he focuses and finally he is able to get into the position correctly and is able to pull off the dive and the recovery so he can fly back up).

Shizen: (Watches Tori closely as he figures out the dive and smiles once he recovers from it standing on the edge looking down at him with a grin).  Not too bad for a first attempt.

Kura: (Just is in shock that Shizen actually pushed Tori not sure of what to say).

Tori: (As he reaches up to the cliff).  That wasn’t very nice Shizen.

Shizen: (Just grins up at Tori as he flies up to them).  Well instincts are not something you prepare for, so I believe it was needed.

Yami: (Can be heard still sitting on the tree branch still as he bursts into laughter).  Man, you should’ve seen your face when she pushed you it was awesome.

Kura: (Sighs as she mumbles which Hiki hears).  If he were smart, he would stay quiet or he may be pushed next.

Hiki: And I don’t you could fly Yami… Tell me how the water is when you get back up alright?

Yami: (Stops laughing hearing Hiki).  Are you crazy I’m not jumping down there, I don’t have a death wish.

Shizen: (Grins as she looks at Yami and seems to have an amusing idea in her head she contemplates).

Yami: (Looks at Shizen and crosses his arms stubbornly).  Hey, don’t even think about it.

Tori: (He sighs as Hiki laughs).  Well anyways I’m guessing I’m going to have to repeat this for a while.

Shizen: (Nods to Tori).  Yes, until you have a hang of that part.  Once you are used to recovering low enough and with proper techniques more refined, I may add targets for using your power with it.  I can give examples of how it will look when the lesson is fully understood as well.

Tori: (As he lands back next to Hiki and Kura).  Ok just no more surprises.

Shizen: (Laughs a little).  No that was only going to happen once, next time I expect you to jump right away.  (As her eyes glow green and something grows at the bottom of the cliff looking like a target made of trees if they looked closely.  As she does this, she drinks the last of her tea handing it to Hiki as she stretches a little).  If you don’t mind holding this Hiki.

Hiki: Oh… No problem at all Shizen, are you feeling better now?

Shizen: I suppose well enough to give at least one demonstration on what this lesson will eventually look like.  (She finishes stretching and goes to the very edge of the cliff but facing the opposite way with a focused look as a green glow surrounds her).

Kura: Why do I have the feeling she’s about to show off.

Hiki: … Because it is just her really….

Tori: (He shakes his head).  As always, she has to show she is on top, I guess.

Shizen: Ohh perhaps, though I suppose Orion would challenge that if he was here.  (She laughs and steps backwards so that she goes over the cliff instantly flipping into a diving formation as feathers start to form on her arms instantly taking the shape of a large grey hawk that glows green.  After a second there is a loud sound as her speed increases greatly making a blast of wind behind her that everyone on the cliff can feel.  Once so close to the ground she pulls up towards the target and clashes with it directly.  The target goes into many pieces as the glow fades, and she is back to looking like her normal self but in her 2nd form with her hood and two short swords).

Yami: (Looks at the whole thing with his mouth dropped then looks at Tori).  So, she expects you to do that dude… Nice knowing you.

Kura: (Says with a bit of sarcasm as she sighs).  Well, it looks like you have faith in his abilities.

Hiki: (She laughs a little).  For once he acknowledges Tori and what he can do huh?

Tori: (He gets a big smile on his face).  Oh man the first time.

Yami: Hey didn’t mean it like that!

Kura: (Laughs along with Hiki).

Shizen: (Glides back up in a animal form of a hawk and lands on a branch by Yami with the falcon near Tori as another target grows at the bottom of the cliff).  Now I think it’s time for a little practice.  I don’t expect it to be perfect like that beginning Tori, I want you to get used to the pattern of flying and follow the current of wind and remember the falcons flight patterns.  Be sure not to hesitate though.

Yami: (Just looks at Shizen as a hawk not sure why it’s weird to him).  Well, I guess you’re taking lessons from some kind of talking bird now.

Shizen: It’s a hawk and perhaps the same lesson can be done for others as well.

Kura: (Is amused but sighs again).  Well even if he somehow landed in the lake unharmed, he still doesn’t know how to swim.

Yami: (Gets a grumpy and stubborn expression).  Hey, bud out can’t be that hard!

Tori: Ok I can practice this more in a bit since it seems Chazz is calling us.

Hiki: (She shakes her head yes).  Yes, master needs us.

Shizen: (Nods and goes back into her normal human self as she hops down from the tree).  Very well, we shall get going then.  Perhaps we will train more by the mansion with the others as well today.

Tori: Yes, I would look forward to that but right now duty calls, I guess.  (He smiles to Shizen as he and Hiki begin to walk back towards the mansion).

Shizen: (Nods and begins to walk back as well).

Kura: (Is beginning to follow but notices Yami still sitting on the tree branch seeming to be in his own thoughts wondering what’s been on his mind recently).  Yami, are you coming with?

Yami: (Snaps out of his thoughts and hops off the tree to catch up).  Yeah, I’m coming.

 

The small group starts to head back to the mansion since they were called back.  They move quicker since they were called to come back by Chazz and soon make it to the outside area behind the mansion.  They can see some of the rest of their group waiting outside including Jennifer, Chazz, Kairi, Rowen, and Orion.  Jennifer seems to be using targets to practice her aim with her bow as Kairi is sitting with Orion as they seem to be looking at rocks sitting near them.  Chazz and Rowen seems to be sparring at the moment as well as they wait for Hiki, Tori and the others to come back.

Hiki: Master we’re back now, did you miss me?

Chazz: (As he is blocking Rowen’s attack).  Yes, yes, I always miss you Hiki but hold on for one moment.  (He goes back to sparring).

Hiki: Hehe.  (She smiles as she holds her fingers together).

Shizen: (Smiles and waves to Rowen knowing not to distract too much as she goes to pour herself another cup of tea).  Well, it looks like everyone is getting a little training done then.  (She goes over to Jennifer to start helping her with her skills).

Kairi: (Notices Tori and gets a big smile as she waves as it looks like she has paint brushes with her as she paints some of the rocks with Orion).  Hi Tori!

Kura: (Looks at Kairi and smiles as she walks over to see what she is doing).

Yami: (Just goes to sit on a tree at the edge of the forest area casually).

Orion: (He looks over at everyone and waves as well).  So how was the flight training?

Tori: Well, I was pushed off a cliff so that was fun.

Shizen: (Laughs with a big grin).  That’s how any nature spirit with a type of bird ability would learn, so I assumed the same would apply to him, so I believe it worked out.

Kairi: (Has a big smile as she quickly goes over to hug Tori then back to where she was sitting using a bit of extra speed so her sister wouldn’t get to mad at him).

Jennifer: (Has an amused look hearing Tori was pushed off a cliff as she concentrates on her targets).

Tori: (He smiles as he gets the hugs and Hiki laughs knowing something happened).  Yeah, yeah just don’t do that again alright.

Orion: (He laughs).  Well don’t expect that she probably would knowing her.

Kairi: (Giggles and continue to paint the rocks Orion gives her).

Kura: (Goes closer to sit with Kairi as well to get a closer look at what she is doing).  What are you up to Kairi?  It looks fun.

Kairi: (Has a bright smile as she holds up a rock the size of her head that she made swirls of blue and red on).  I’m painting rocks with Orion, I promised I would and it’s really fun!

Kura: (Laughs and pats Kairi’s head).  It looks fun, Orion I’m sure you are having fun with this as well.

Orion: Yes, I am actually since knowing Kairi I figured she would enjoy something like this.

Kairi: (Looks up at Orion still with a big smile as she continues to paint with him).

Jennifer: (Looks back at Kairi and Orion and smiles).  It seems like they are having fun.  I’m glad they get along so well, it’s like he’s a role model in a way or an uncle to her.

Shizen: (Laughs as she looks as well which seems to bring back memories).  Well, he has experience being an uncle… But I think it’s more that Kairi reminds him of when he had a daughter… I haven’t seen that kind of happiness in him in such a long time… It brings back good memories.

Jennifer: So, Orion has a daughter?  (She gives a bit of a confused look as she looks at Shizen being far away enough for Orion to not overhear but Hiki and Tori do being much closer to them).

Hiki: A daughter… Really, he doesn’t seem like one to settle down….  (She can feel something is wrong). 

Tori: Yeah same… Just what is the story behind that.

Orion: (Overhears them and looks down with gloom as Kairi continues painting).

Shizen: (Takes notice of Orion’s look and brings Hiki and Tori closer so they are not so loud knowing how hard this topic is for him with a more serious and a bit saddened look making sure to talk quietly).  Please keep it down… It’s not a easy topic… Especially for him….

Jennifer: (Gets a more concerned look looking at Orion).  … What happened….

Shizen: Let me start by saying Orion never exactly settled down but he did have a child with a human he had feelings for long ago.  The daughter was a spirit like himself, so she stayed with Orion.  From early on her was a single father… He didn’t mind… He loved her with all his heart… It was quite cute seeing such a small girl following such a giant guy around like a little duckling… She also loved pink as well… I think Kairi reminds him of her in some ways… There are a lot of similarities… He was so happy.  (She has a small smile as she remembers while looking down).

Hiki: (She is silent hearing the story alongside Tori not expecting this type of story and makes the same gloomy face as the others are making).  So that’s why he cares for Kairi so much.

Shizen: (Nods as her small smile fades).  Yes… I would think so… She was still a child but for a unknown reason she became very ill suddenly… He hides this well but bringing it up still hurts… I advise you not to… There is a rope bracelet he never takes off though under his sleeve… It has tied to it her first and last time trying to mold rock into something… I believe it was a duck… That was her favorite animal….  (She looks at Orion slightly and sighs from such a hard topic).

Jennifer: (Cannot help but look at Orion as well not being able to imagine how much that must have hurt him not being sure of how to respond).

Hiki: (She wants to hug him so much but cannot help to watch Orion paint with Kairi).  Well at least… Kairi can make him happy again.

Shizen: That’s true… It’s quite nice to see that smile again.  (She smiles at seeing Orion and Kairi hoping she can help him with the crack made in his heart back then).

Jennifer: (Looks at Kairi and Orion and has a small smile).  … he really does care about her… I think having a role model in her life like that helps… I kind of can see Orion being like a father figure to her in a way….

Shizen: (Smiles and nods).  He makes a great uncle as well, though he does have a habit of spoiling them… Never could predict a giant guy like him to be a pushover when it comes to a child pouting.

Jennifer: (Makes a small laugh).  I think that is hard for anyone to say no to Kairi… He does seem like a gentle giant type of guy once getting to know him, at first, I thought he was intimidating though.

Hiki: Yes, so did master really… But looks can be deceiving, I guess.

Shizen: The only time he is truly one to be feared is when the people, especially in his territory are threatened some way but I believe that would be almost every council members feelings on such things.

Jennifer: (Nods understandingly).  I can understand that it’s protecting the things that mean something to you.

Tori: Yeah, so it all makes sense but now… Let’s not get all gloomy, ok?  Let’s just be happy for now.

Shizen: (Nods agreeingly).  Right, perhaps focus more on our training then.  Child, I remember you wanting to learn something specific today.

Jennifer: (Nods as she is reminded).  Oh, I wanted to know how you made cat ears form on Amber during the festival.  It made me curious.

Shizen: (Pauses a second as she thinks of how to explain it).  Well, I suppose the closest way to explain how it works is like a barrier.  It’s changing the appearance to something animal like but not the mind entirely set since they are not nature element themselves just the physical look at most.

Jennifer: (Sighs hearing the part about barriers since that is what she is worst at).  Really… Barriers?

Hiki: (As she hears about how it is made).  Maybe I could help out than?  Since I’m really good at working with barriers.

Shizen: It’s will not really work for you since you are not of nature element sadly.  You could make a barrier shaped like the ears, but they will just be the look of a barrier.  The person performing this type of barrier needs to be of a specific nature element to be done to another because it’s of the form of a animal.  Perhaps you would like to volunteer to help Jennifer practice.

Jennifer: (Looks at Hiki seeming unsure of it not wanting to mess it up then).  Wait on Hiki, I do not know… I do not want to mess it up and end up making you look silly Hiki.

Hiki: Well, I don’t mind helping out at all so don’t worry about it so just relax and just focus alright?  (She says with a slight blush and a smile).

Shizen: Just like a barrier you must concentrate on what you want to happen, don’t let your mind wander like many times before and tune out those distractions.  I will show you first then I want you to try it yourself.  (She looks around for a volunteer seeing Tori has gone away a little seeming like he does not want to then she notices Rowen is letting Chazz take a small break and waves to him with a big smirk).  Rowen, I need a handsome volunteer for a moment.

Rowen: (He sighs but then laughs).  Of course, she would now.

Chazz: (He laughs as well as he is taking his break and happy that he has a few more moments to himself).

Shizen: It’s just for a moment to teach a new ability to the child, if you don’t mind me using it on you as a example first.

Rowen: Well, I do not mind at all really just make sure it doesn’t last long alright?

Shizen: (Nods and continues to grin waving him to come a little closer).  Thank you Rowen I will make up for this little favor later then.

Rowen: (He mumbles to himself as he walks over to Shizen).

Shizen: (Laughs and gives him a kiss).  Come on now, it’s not that bad to volunteer.

Rowen: True… But knowing you it may end up… Weird.  Hopefully it does not.

Shizen: Ohh it won’t be that bad just relax, I need to concentrate for a moment.

Jennifer: (Stands besides Hiki as she watches, giggling a bit from the kiss with a slight blush from how Shizen acts towards Rowen).

Hiki: She is one of the bold types so this isn’t that surprising, now if someone would kiss master again.  (She says with a smile with a lighthearted undertone in it).

Jennifer: (Blushes more).  Hey, you know I am not that bold and besides I think you can be bolder than me at times.

Hiki: Well, you are right sometimes I can but a girl’s heart is tender alright.  (She sticks her tongue out to Jennifer with a silky grin and a slight blush).

Jennifer: (Cannot help but giggle at the face Hiki is making).  You have a point just do not expect me to try being as bold.

Shizen: (Sighs).  Child you will need to pay attention if you are wanting to learn this.

Jennifer: (Instant faces towards Shizen to pay attention again being a little embarrassed).  Sorry Shizen.

Shizen: (Shakes her head).  You need to learn how to focus more, don’t let your mind wander so much.

Hiki: (She says sorry as she holds her hands together innocently).

Shizen: Now then.  (She faces Rowen and begins to concentrate on him, seeming to become quite focused).

Rowen: (He looks a bit nervous not sure on how this will work out.  As a moment passes Rowen can feel a barrier form around his body then closing his eyes for a second, he feels a bit different.  He looks up at everyone, it is seeming strange that he is looking up at everyone not remembering if he sat down as everyone else looks at him with a very surprised look and some shock.   He wants to speak but whenever he does an animal sound is made somewhere nearby and is very confused on what is going on).

Kairi: (Looks over from doing her painting hearing some type of barking and sees a large dark brown and grey wolf sitting by Jennifer, Hiki and Shizen).  Yay one of the wolves are back, hi!

Shizen: (Laughs and Kneels in front of Rowen scratching behind his ears).  Well not exactly I suppose, let me try and tone it down so you can be understood by the others at least.  But quite a good attempt though, I haven’t done this fully in quite while.

Jennifer: (Looks complete amazed).  Whoa… He… Looks like a real wolf….

Rowen: (When he first looks like down at himself, he can see he’s covered in fur that’s brown with a bit of grey in it as well and seeing two front paws.  As he realizes what he has become he can’t help but growl a little bit knowing that Shizen did this on purpose).

Shizen: Ohh Rowen don’t be to mad, besides you look quite handsome as a wolf if I say so myself.  (She scratches Rowen’s head and laughs a little as she makes her eye glow green as she tries adjusts the ability on him so he can try to talk as he normally would).

Jennifer: (Whispers to Hiki).  Something tells me she just did this for her own amusement.

Hiki: (She shakes her head yes).  I wouldn’t be surprised.

Rowen: (As he growls again).  Well regardless could you get me out of this body already.

Shizen: (Pretends to pout).  Aww but you look quite good as a wolf.  Hmm I always wondered this….  (As she grins and changes her own form to a wolf as well like many times before with grey fur and green eyes still smiling at Rowen).

Rowen: (He breathes out).  Of course, you would do this as well.

Shizen: (Sits beside him as she kisses his cheek like a dog would and laughs).  Well, I believe we would make a great wolf couple at least.

Jennifer: (Cannot help but laughs and nod since she can’t disagree thinking it is cute).

Kairi: (Runs over hearing Rowen voice coming from the wolf as she looks amazed).  Whoa is that really you Rowen?  You look so cute as a wolf and even cuter together!

Shizen: (Laughs as Kairi pets both their heads).  I cannot disagree.

Rowen: (He sighs as he lays down).  Alright fun but I do feel tired so I’m going to lay down for a little bit.  Shizen, would you like to join me?

Shizen: (Her grin grows as she lays beside Rowen).  Well, I would be happy too.

Jennifer: (Still smiles at the wolf couple and decides to try it herself now).  Well, I guess I should try the ability as well then.

Shizen: (Looks over at Jennifer).  This will take a large amount of concentration, even for just changing one part and Hiki stand directly in front of her to make it easier.

Hiki: (She stands in front of Jennifer hoping everything works out for her).

Jennifer: (Takes a breath and think of what she wants to do).  I guess I can try the cat ears first.

Shizen: That would be wise, just focusing on one area is much easier than the entire body.

Hiki: Well, give it your best shot Jenny!

Jennifer: I promise to try and not make you look silly Hiki.  (She nods being determined as she takes a breath and closes her eyes to focus trying to not let any distraction get to her the best, she can though taking a few minutes of trying nothing yet has changed but she continues trying).

Shizen: (As she lays beside Rowen, both in wolf form she watches Jennifer closely).

Hiki: (She sits and waits to notice the barrier beginning to appear around her head).

Jennifer: (She starts to struggle to keep the barrier there as it flickers and disappears before it can take form.  She takes a couple more moments to try again and opens her eyes but gets a disappointed look when seeing nothing seems to have happened).  Nothing happened….

Hiki: (After looking around and feeling her head and feeling nothing different).  So, nothing happened nyan?

Jennifer: (Gives a confused look towards Hiki).  What was that Hiki?

Shizen: (Tilts her head at Hiki curiously seeing something in back of her).  Hiki, could you turn around for a moment?

Hiki: (After she is done putting up her act, she looks behind her and sees a white deer tail in surprised).

Jennifer: (Is just as surprised seeing the tail flip up as she goes to get a closer look).  Is that a… Deer tail?

Hiki: It… Looks like it… I like it.  It looks really cute!  (As it moves around because she is happy).

Jennifer: It is not what I meant to do… But I’m glad you like it.

Shizen: It’s not too bad for a first try but the change in animal and placing usually means your mind had wondered so try to do you focus exercise more often to develop that skill more.  Also adding more power will usually increase the area that changes as well but it’s more difficult to maintain.

Jennifer: (Nods understanding it and smiles at Hiki).  Well, I hope I can have you as a volunteer next time too, and the deer tail looks really cute!

Kairi: (Goes over to Hiki to see the tail and puts a hand on it amazed that it feels real).  It is so cute and fluffy, maybe you can make a bunny tail for me next time too!

Jennifer: (Laughs at how excited Kairi is getting from all of this).  Well, I can try later.

Hiki: Yes, I’ll happily be your volunteer, Jenny!

Jennifer: (Smiles and hugs Hiki).  Thank you, you’re such a big help!

Kairi: (Goes over to Kura to ask something).  Kura is there some way that I could do that too?

Kura: (Shakes her head no).  No, the closest I can do is change my hair and eye color really, but I can’t really teach that to you. Kairi: (Makes a small pout for a second).  Aww… Oh well at least I can ask sis to do that later.

Kura: (Laughs and pats Kairi’s head and then looks at the deer tail on Hiki but quickly looks away realizing where she is looking with a slight blush).  Well… I have to agree it looks cute….

Hiki: (As she laughs and smiles as she does a mini dance with her tail).

Jennifer: (Laughs as she tries to focus on making the tail stay since Hiki is having so much fun with it).

Shizen: (Laughs a little then looks towards Rowen to see if he is still upset giving him a wolf kiss and nuzzling her nose against him affectionately).  Are you still upset now; I think being a wolf isn’t so bad right?

Rowen: No, no not anymore since I was given a chance to snuggle up with you easily my dear.

Shizen: (Smiles and nuzzles up to him more as the others in their group are giving them some privacy).  Well, I’m glad you can enjoy snuggling like this.  Quite interesting using this ability on a mate, never have been able too.

Rowen: Well, I’m happy to give you the experience love.

Shizen: (Can tell she smiles greatly as relaxes with Rowen and releases the ability making him go back to normal and then herself as they sit together, and she rests her head on his shoulder in the affectionate moment).  Thank you, Rowen… It will make me truly happy.

Rowen: (As he grabs her shoulder and holds her close).  Well, I will do my best to make you happy.  Just as much you make me the happiest person alive.

Shizen: Well, I can promise that I will try at least.  I’m not exactly the easiest person to manage but at least I have learned how to put my all into a relationship once in one… Even if I get a little forward and rush things at times.  (She laughs a little and she leans into Rowen’s hold and kisses him).

Rowen: Well, no matter how you are I have come to love you more and more and I do not plan on stopping anytime soon.  (He kisses her forehead).

Shizen: And I am coming to love you as well and feel the same way for you.  (She enjoys the little moment and sighs contently kissing Rowen’s cheek as they enjoy each other’s embrace though there is a slight feeling in the back of her mind like her instincts on danger triggering though not knowing whereas she scans the area while resting on Rowen though seeing nothing suspicious).

 

Shizen and Rowen continue to sit together as everyone else continues to train or talk amongst themselves as Jennifer, Hiki, Kairi and Kura sit together with Chazz nearby meditating on a ability he is working on.  Tori naps against a tree as the 4 girls continue talking about the animal form and the deer tail and laughs.  Kairi asks Kura again about the ability Kura does to change her hair and eyes like she had done early on.

Kairi: It seems really neat, are you sure you cannot teach it to me?

Kura: (Pats Kairi’s head).  Sadly, I can’t but I wish I could so you could make your hair pink.

Kairi: (Giggles as she imagines herself with pink hair).  Well at least tell me how you had done it please?

Kura: It’s simple, I just gathered the shadows from around me and changed how my appearance was each time but cannot change the black part of my hair really just the red.  (As she takes two fingers and swirls darkness around then as she goes through every red highlight of her hair turning them blue).

Kairi: (Gives an amazed look then takes two fingers and tries to do the same with one of her strands of hair but nothing happens which makes her pout).

Jennifer: (Laughs and pets Kairi’s hair giving her a comforting hug).  I think imagining having pink hair is making you determined anyways.

Hiki: (As she sits down like how she usually would).  Yes, I think it is.

Jennifer: (Laughs more).  Well maybe one day we could look for wigs that color then, though I do not think it is a common color to find.

Kairi: (Nods and giggles liking the idea).  I guess I can do that!

Kura: (Laughs as she continues to change her hair color to blue as she smiles holding a strand of it).

Jennifer: (Looks at Kura smiling at her hair and a question pops into her head).  Kura, why did you disguise yourself with blue?  Is it a favorite color?

Kairi: It is very pretty but I like the red too!

Kura: (Smiles down at her hair as she puts her hands over her eyes to change them to blue).  Well… I suppose it’s because it was my mother’s color… And when I was younger, I always wanted to look more like her in a way… She was very beautiful after all… And I wanted Yami to at least get an idea of what she looked like.  (She smiles as she remembers while looking at the color in her hair).

Hiki: (She looks down as well since Tori has told her some stories of his past and she remembers hearing about her).

Kura: (Notices Hiki looking down as well as the others and smiles to reassure them).  It’s ok, I’m fine… It’s just nice to remember her is all.

Jennifer: (Gets a small smile understanding what Kura means and nods).  I understand, she must of been quite I amazing mother then.

Kairi: (Nods as well as she looks at Kura with the blue highlights and eyes getting a idea of what she must of looked like).  She must have been really pretty then if you look like her and even with the red it’s still very pretty… And just as caring as you are too.

Kura: (Smiles and pats Kairi’s head).  I’m glad you think so… And she really was.

Kairi: (Cannot help but give Kura a hug at the moment pulling Jennifer to join her as well).

Hiki: (Upon looking back up there are slight tears in her eyes that Kura sees as she hugs Kura from behind as Kairi and Jennifer are giving her one from the front).  It’s alright now Kura… Don’t hold back… Hitomi wouldn’t like it.

Kura: (Smiles at Hiki as she tears up listening to her).  I guess I do, do that at times… And no, she wouldn’t… I just wish Yami could have experienced knowing her at least… Even if only for a few moments.  (She looks at Yami as he sits on a tree branch a little way away).

Hiki: Well… Maybe you could tell him some stories that you can tell him about his mother.

Kura: I have tried, especially when he was smaller… Even tried showing drawings I did of her when I was younger… But I think he still blames himself a bit as well… Even though I tell him otherwise….  (She continues looking up at Yami with a frown not wanting him to blame himself for so many things).

Kairi: (Hugs Kura tighter as Jennifer does the same looking behind her to see Yami).

Hiki: Well… It takes time… And knowing Yami he will keep doing that… But you’re just doing what you can as his loving sister.

Kura: Thank you… I do my best, after all I promised Kuro, I would.

Kairi: (Looks up at Kura while hugging her).  Kura, you can keep the blue in your hair for today if it helps.

Kura: (Smiles and hugs everyone back).  Well maybe for a little bit then at least.

Hiki: Yed it always has looked very good on you so no more sadness alright?

Kura: (Gets a slight blush from Hiki as she smiles and wipes her eyes).  Thank you… And yes, let’s talk about something a bit happier now… Though it’s nice to remember some things too.

Jennifer: Well, any time you feel like talking about it we are here to listen.

Kairi: (Nods agreeingly with a big smile to help cheer Kura up).

Hiki: (She is still hanging tight of Kura).  Anytime we are here for you.

Kura: (Relaxes a bit and sits beside Hiki who holds onto her making her smile with a slight blush leaning her way into the hug).  … I think just talking like this helps really and having everyone around enjoy themselves.

Jennifer: (Looks behind them noticing something with an amused look).  Well not sure of everyone in a moment.  (As she sees the wolf pack in the woods are coming back and a few are approaching unnoticed to Chazz as he meditates and Tori as he naps sitting against a tree).

Hiki: Yes… It really does help and hey look the wolves are coming back to help cheer you up as well.

Kairi: (Giggles watching the wolves, wondering what they are doing).

 

The girls watch some of the younger wolves approached them Chazz being closer to them is reached first.  As Chazz is focused on his meditating, he instantly feels something is licking his face being one of the wolves that look 1 or 2 years old followed by the light grey sweet wolf pup trying to reach up as well with both wagging their tails happily.

Chazz: (As he opens his eyes and sees the wolf pup, he cannot help but smile as he pets one of them).  Well, hey there little one, having a good time with your parent?

Jennifer: (Smiles and laughs).  It is more an older brother really since the bigger one was the group of pups before this one.  The mother is right there though, she is the alpha female of the pack.  (She points to a large medium grey wolf sitting nearby that watches.

 

Meanwhile the other two of the small pups are going towards Tori, the black pup with white markings being the calmer and more tired one licking his hand before trying to climb in his lap as usual.  The medium grey one rushes at him and pouncing at his shoe as he begins to chew it.

Chazz: Well regardless they are all quite cute and it looks like Tori is going to have his napping buddy with him again.  (As he keeps petting the pup).

Jennifer: You have a point.  (She laughs as the larger wolf by Chazz tackles him playfully and the pup just licks his hand cutely trying to climb up).

Kairi: (Giggles seeing Tori and the puppies).  Daw so cute.  (As she says this the black and dark grey wolf pup curls in Tori’s lap to take a nap as well as the medium grey pup continues biting his shoe causing a little pain as well as damaging the shoe).

Tori: (As the pups curl up on him, he wakes up slightly and just smiles as he pets them both and goes back to sleep.  The wolf pups calm down a bit though one continues to chew on things finding a stick as it wags its tail as the other wags its tail as well and rests with him).

Kairi: (Giggles more with a slight blush at how cute it is as everyone laughs and pets some of the wolves).

Shizen: (Starts to laugh seeing the wolves and gets a big grin looking at Rowen with a small idea coming to mind from what happened before as he can read the look quite well).  Well looks like the wolves are visiting again.

Rowen: (As he looks around and sees the wolves playing with the group).  So, it seems.

Shizen: Well might as well participate a little then.  (She has a sly smile as her eyes glow green and Rowen can feel the ability from before starting to be used on him again as well as herself in the wolf forms, they had just been in.  The alpha male and female of the wolf pack take notice perking up as they walk over though the female staying more in back to watch her pups).

Rowen: (He sighs).  Of course, you would do something like this.

Shizen: Well, it is good to have some practice with a ability I have not used often.  (She laughs as the alpha male of the pack looks at Rowen as he approaches and sniffs putting its guard down more as if recognizing the scent as Shizen looking like she is listening to the wolf able to understand it and laughs a little).

Rowen: I guess so… Oh well might as well enjoy it while I can.

Shizen: (Nods as she laughs more).  Well not every day you turn into a different species, but he seems to know you at least.  This is the wolf that brought the child back when she kept getting lost in the woods when much younger.  Probably saved you quite a lot of panic back then.  (As she nods at the wolf as it goes around sniffing both of them then into Rowen’s eyes seeming to understand seeming wise).

Rowen: Well, I thank you very much for your help with our madam and as well for your help.  (The wolf makes a low barking response as the female alpha of the pack comes closer as well).

Shizen: (Laughs again).  Well, it looks like I will be the translator for you then and yes I would say we are mates.  (She answers the wolves with the last part they seeming to have asked as Shizen nuzzles up to Rowen as a way of confirming it.  They continue to talk with the other wolf couple as Shizen translates for Rowen so he can join the conversation more).

 

Everyone is busy with the wolves as Kairi is the first to notice Maru and Luna are coming outside.  She waves to them and says hi with a big smile so that they can come over to them.  The bigger of the two wolves by Chazz tackling him hears there are more people approaching and perks up immediately looking directly at Maru appearing to be the same wolf that first tackled him on his first visit as it starts to wag its tail more.

Kairi: Hi Maru, hi Luna over here, the wolves are here!

Maru: (He waves back with a big smile on his face as Luna walks with a smile as well happy to see the wolves again).  Hey!  (Instantly the wolf by Chazz runs to Maru and before he can react, he is tackled which makes him fall over as the wolf licks his face and wags its tail).

Kairi: (Giggles as this happens as the others begin to laugh as well).  Yay they remember you!

Maru: (As he laughs from being licked so much Luna cannot help but laugh as well).  I can see that; I am happy they do!

Kairi: (Giggles more as Maru get up and continues to be attacked with dog kisses).

Kura: (She moves over a bit so Maru and Luna could sit with them).  I think we were going to start training a bit more today if you would like to join before you have to leave.

Luna: No, I don’t think we could really since we have to meeting with some other family that is important so Maru cannot get all tired out from the training.

Jennifer: That is fine then, I hope the meeting goes well.  You do not mind if some of us practice a little while you are here, do you?

Kairi: (Nods as she makes darkness surround her hands and smiles at Luna).  I have really gotten a lot better at barriers too, maybe it will not break as easily as last time too!

Kura: Well perhaps Luna could test it for you again when she has more time but for now let someone else test it.

Luna: By all means be our guests to train.  It may even give us ideas on how to train ourselves and I would be willing to help out since it seems Maru is busy right now.  (As he is still playing with the wolves, and she smiles seeing him having a good time).

Kairi: (Gets a bright smile and stands up skipping towards Luna).  Thank you, Luna, you are a big help!

Jennifer: (Her eyes glow green as she looks at all of the wolves seeming to tell them to keep their distance from the ones training as the wolves do as told being alert).

Luna: Happy to help anytime I can.

Hiki: (As she is separated from Kura she stretches).  Well, this should be fun now.

Jennifer: I see her practicing a lot in her room with Kura, so I am sure she improved a lot.

Kura: (Nods in agreement as she watches Kairi closely).

Kairi: Thank you Luna, you are a really big help.  (She gets a determined look wanting to do well as she looks for a good spot to stand finding a stick and placing it close behind her to ready herself for the small sparring match).

Shizen: (Cannot help but take interest as well as Rowen as she let’s go of her focus on the ability both turning back to normal as they watch with interest).

Luna: Alright then better prepare yourself Kairi.

Rowen: (He looks interested as well knowing how determined Kairi can be).

Kairi: (Keeps her determined look but with a smile as she gets in a fighting stance that is more balanced as darkness surrounds her hands readying herself to form a barrier quickly).  I am ready when you are!

Luna: (She grins as she unsheathes her sword and readies to strike the barrier as everyone watches closely).

Kairi: (Puts everything she has into the darkness barrier using both hands making the barrier even stronger.  The barrier also seems very sturdy from the looks of it as well as she gathers darkness from shadows near her as her arms look like they are in a shadow form as she flows the energy into the barrier with a focused look).

Luna: (As she prepares to strike the barrier, she puts some extra energy in her blade since it seems nothing simple will work.  When she strikes, she manages to break through the barrier but only after a small delay instead of instantly like before).

Kairi: (Having thought the barrier would stay better she gets a disappointed look since she thought she prepared enough for the attack wondering what step she had missed).  Aww it broke… I thought it would not this time.

Luna: No, it is much better than before.  I actually had to put some energy into the barrier in order to penetrate it, so you have certainly improved.

Kairi: (Perks up hearing she improved and gets a more determined look).  Well next time it will be even harder to break it just need to practice more!

Shizen: (Calls out having watched with everyone else).  Kairi does much better when taken off guard or protecting someone.  She just needs to channel that feeling but it’s more of a instinct. I think when in that moment the barrier will have more strength as well.

Luna: Well regardless she is making excellent progress.

Kairi: (Has bright smile as she hugs Luna happily).  Thank you Luna and I promise to practice so next time I am even stronger!

Luna: (As she is surprised at first, she cannot help but smile as she pets Kairi’s head).  And I look forward to seeing you grow even stronger Kairi.

Kairi: I hope so too.  (She nods as she goes back to the rest of the group bringing Maru and Luna to sit with everyone).

Jennifer: (Has stood and started stretching as she sees Hiki is doing the same).  Hiki if you need someone to spar with do you mind sparring with me for a little bit?

Hiki: (As she finishes up).  Sure, I can do that.

Jennifer: (Smiles at Hiki as she and Hiki walk away from the group a little, so they are not too in the way).

Kura: (Before helping Kairi with a small barrier she has in her hands as she talks to Maru, she looks up in the tree still seeing Yami on a branch leaning against the tree a bit further from the group.  She can tell something is wrong but hasn’t been able to get a clear answer on what is on his mind.  She walks to Tori to see is he can help seeing him nap against another closer tree still).  Tori could you do me a favor?

Tori: (As he opens one of his eyes to see what Kura wants).  Yeah, what’s up Kura.

Kura: (Looks at where Yami is not able to see much since Yami’s not facing the group then back to Tori).  Could you talk to Yami or at least spar with him to cheer him up.  It seems like something’s wrong, but he won’t say so, so I was wondering if he might talk to you instead… I just feel like something’s wrong.  (She has a more worried look as she looks back at where Yami is).

Tori: (As he notices the more worried feeling in her voice).  Ok I can do that.  (As he stands up and head towards Yami).

Kura: Thank you Tori, I owe you one.  (She smiles at Tori as he begins to walk towards where Yami is feeling a little better).

Tori: (He kicks Yami’s tree).  Ay Yami!  Come on down here and let’s spar for a bit, ok?

 

Tori can feel a little darkness from around the area flowing to where Yami is as he does not seem to answer.  He can see Yami sitting on one of the lower tree branches but unable to see his face since he’s looking down and away not seeming to notice Tori is there.

Tori: (He sighs as he kicks the tree causing Yami to fall so Tori can catch him).  Yo.

Yami: (He falls but seems not all there still as Tori catches him since expected him to curse at him but instead can see something’s troubling him as he seems worried and scared looking into the distance with his red and black eyes wide and teeth gritted as if tensed up, shaky and alert to something not really seeming to notice what happened or Tori catching him being that out of it. His ears also are pointed and teeth more canine like what happened with his power when training with Rowen).

Tori: (He knocks Yami on the head).  Hey there knucklehead calm down.

Yami: (Once knocked over the head he starts to snap out of it shaking his head as he looks down to try and collect himself.  He covers his eyes shaking his head a little while grabbing it for a moment his ears and teeth going back to how they normally are.  He tries to calm down as he stops taking darkness from Tori and his surroundings).  Umm… Hey dude….

Tori: (He sighs as he lets Yami stand back up).  What was going on with you Yami.

Yami: (Leans against the tree and looks down as he thinks trying to figure it out himself).  I… I don’t know….

Tori: (As he begins to worry a little bit, he shakes the look off).  Well want to spar.

Yami: (Pauses before responding seeming a little out of it as she shakes his head no while still looking down).  Nah… Maybe later I guess….

Tori: (As he looks shocked from what Yami has said knowing full well on how much he enjoys sparring.  He can’t find the right words to say).

Yami: (There is another pause before he speaks again still not looking directly at Tori).  You ever just get a bad feeling… And not know why….

Tori: Yeah, I have… Though I don’t try to let be easy to control me.

Yami: (Looks up at Tori).  … How do you do that?

Tori: (He smiles as he extends his arm to show off the group practicing).  By remembering who will be there by my side.

Yami: (Looks where everyone in the group are practicing their skills or talking with one another and begins to smile seeing everyone else smile and enjoy themselves which makes himself feel better and laugh a little).  You have a point.

Tori: (Feels relieved seeing Yami smile).  Good now calm down, ok?

Yami: Yeah, guess I’m just over thinking it… Be there in a second to spar and win.  (He grins to Tori lifting his arm to fist bump).

Tori: (He smiles as he fists bumps Yami back).  Yeah, yeah keep telling yourself that.

Yami: (Starts to get his normal attitude back).  Hey, shut it this time it will be different!

Tori: Well regardless make sure your ready for a fight.  (As he turns around to head towards the sparring area he normally uses).

Yami: You kidding I’m always ready to fight.  (As he stays behind a moment to grab his knives that fell when he fell and to try and shake off the rest the bad feeling he has).

 

Tori is walking back and to the area other people are sparring to stretch and warm up as Shizen is the first to approach as Kura seems focused on a barrier with Kairi.  As Shizen approaches she looks at where Yami is seeming interested in what’s going on then looking back at Tori.

Shizen: Is something going on, he’s been over there for quite a while now.

Tori: Um… It seems that he is having bad feelings and they are controlling his mind set.

Shizen: (Pauses looking back at Yami as she thinks scanning the area again).  Bad feelings then… Did he say from what specifically?

Tori: (He thinks back).  No not really, didn’t say much on that.

Jennifer: (Gets out of her sparring with Hiki the instant she hears the trees fall).  Does everyone else hear that?

Shizen: (Has a more serious tone).  Child tell the animals to get out of this area.

Jennifer: (Hears the more serious and strict tone Shizen has knowing something’s wrong from how she sounds and nods making her eyes glow green as people can see the wolves gather and start to leave quickly as well as the rest of the forest animals as if an alarm was sounded).

Kairi: (Looks around not sure what the sound was).  What is it, is something wrong?

Kura: (Holds onto Kairi protectively not sure of what it was either).  I’m not sure… Stay close Kairi.

Hiki: (She and Tori run over to Chazz in an instant readying their weapons).

Luna: (She puts Maru behind her reading herself for anything).

Shizen: (Looks back at Orion and Rowen with a serious look still). Do you feel any movement on the ground where trees were falling?  (As she says this her eyes glow green then closes them as if checking the area as well through nature).

Rowen: (He and Orion shake their heads yes as they put their hands on the ground).  It is… A gate.

Shizen: (Vines wrap around her legs as she checks the same area).  I see… It’s a big one too… Wait… It not a normal one.  (Her eyes open wide as if there’s something she did not expect, not expecting such a giant gate to appear she and Orion both knowing it is only used by the council when absolutely necessary but not knowing why yet.  She looks at Orion and Rowen still seriously but now concern as well for the others with them).

Orion: (Upon realizing what the gate of this size is regularly used for).  Why… Would they send this many people.

Shizen: (Grits her teeth as she tries to think).  Why come here like this… What do they want?  (As she thinks she starts thinking of how to protect the younger ones with them not wanting to involve them in something that could be serious with the rest of the council).  Orion… The young ones should go just in case….

Jennifer: (Picks up her bow readying it but pointing it down).  If it is something dangerous were facing it together Shizen but Kairi I do not want, you getting hurt.  Go inside for a bit.

Kairi: (Shakes her head no stubbornly).  No, I am staying to help everyone!

Kura: (Knows how stubborn Kairi is but keeps her behind herself protectively just in case something happens).

Hiki: (She runs up by Shizen as she grabs Chazz’s and Tori’s arm).  Well don’t forgot about us now.  Since we aren’t letting you push away from something like this

Shizen: (Sighs knowing they will not listen).  I swear you are all as stubborn as me… But since you are staying keep your guard up.  (As she scans the area where the gate is sensing movement as she and Orion go in front of everyone with Rowen right behind and just as on guard as she whispers to Orion).  I don’t like this… There’s a bad feeling in the air. 

 

The group is getting ready for whatever is starting they begin to hear more trees falls down but hear a familiar voice.

????: It’s time for the main event everyone!  (As the voice says this hundreds of soldiers from all different element territories show up through the trees from the fire to air and some council members show up in front as well with their weapons unsheathed knowing this will not be easy)

Shizen: (Her eyes narrow looking directly in front of them seeing the people a merge from the forest and once hearing the voice knowing exactly who it is). I see… I expected you to show your face again… Never expected the council to agree with someone as power hungry as yourself.  (The anger is clear in her voice and eyes as she glares at where Agni is behind the fire guards waiting for him to show himself as she clenches her fist tightly with everyone else looking at the guards with weapons readied for anything).

Agni: Hey there Shizen dear, nice to see you again too and no, no I’m not here on that business.  It’s rude to call someone power hungry when they aren’t but no, I’m not here on any special business this was an issue brought to the council by outside sources.

Shizen: Well, your actions say otherwise and what would that be exactly.  (She looks at the other council members pausing once seeing Nagi and Shiro’s children with their daughter Chikara wearing the medal of the light council member with her long white hair pulled back in a light grey headband with white eyes scanning the area carefully looking a lot like her mother.  The youngest son Kyoda wearing the dark council member medal over a black tunic with dark blue borders to match his eyes and his short black hair pulled back.  Kishi is beside them in black knights’ armor with his black hair longer than Kyoda’s with black eyes looking the most like Nagi out of the siblings. Shizen turns her attention to them to try and avoid the urge to kill Agni that moment).  I see you have taken your parents positions on the council for now… Please tell me what this is about.

Chikara: (Looks away from Shizen).  We were notified of a highly dangerous spirit that runs from capture at this location by the head of light guardians Yuzuki and have voted on things being done before anything disastrous is to happen.

Shizen: (Her eyes widen then sees Yuzuki at the head of the light guardians being able to tell it is her even with the helmet and armor as she narrows her eyes at her even though knowing she probably did not have much of a choice).

Kura: (Her eyes widen in shock as she whispers to herself Yami’s name and clenches her fist making Kairi even more worried and concerned).

Orion: (As he stands beside Shizen with an angry look in his eyes).  WHAT DO YOU MEAN A COUNCIL MATTER!  (He yells at first but tunes himself down).  If it was such an important matter, why didn’t you call Shizen and I to the meeting about this!

Agni: (He stands forward first).  Well, we would but knowing on how you two are connected to the spirit your votes were unneeded knowing they would be bias.

Shizen: (Grits her teeth as she looks at all the council members then at the water council member.  She has black flowing hair with deep blue and a blue gown the fabric almost looks like water flowing with shades a blue in each fold of silky fabric and deep blue eyes and pink lips.  Shizen looks at the spirit that is like a older sister to her).  Mizuko please don’t tell me you voted for this to happen as well.

Mizuko: (She steps forward and sighs regretfully).  No, I was opposed to it as well as Kyoda but the votes were against us.

Shizen: (Looks at a man wearing grey robes with short grey hair and a fan in one hand appearing to be the wind council member and sighs).  Seiji why did you vote for this then as well as for you Chikara.

Chikara: (Still looks away).  Even though I did not agree with my brother I still see how it is logical to have any danger to innocent lives be dealt with quickly as well as we could not ignore things that happened in the past involving a loss of many lives.

Seiji: Now Shizen, I know we weren’t always on the best of term’s but one of my trusted advisors had said troubling things after being in this location for a while.  He felt like an impassable danger was nearby.  Mr. Yasuo wouldn’t dare lie if it would involve the many innocent lives, he would affect.

Chazz: (Upon hearing the name he immediately realizes who it is and clenches his fists knowing he should have sealed him away).

Shizen: Even if the person I think you are talking about is just a young child?  Is it fair to take him away just because of his ability right when he found a place to call a home?

Chikara: He may be young, but he still had done crimes that must be answered for in a court of the council.  We also must seal the ability to make sure more lives are not lost that way.

Kura: (Instantly snaps at the council yelling at them before anyone can stop her).  You can’t seal it, you’ll kill him.  He’s just I little boy DON’T DO THIS!  I WON’T LET YOU!

Kairi: (Hears everything happening and tears up with a beggful expression).  Please don’t take Yami away!

Kyoda: Well I….  (He is then taken by surprise from how much the person who just yelled looks so much like Hitomi from the last time he saw her and cannot find the right words to say right now after a very minor pause).  Alright now… I still don’t why this all necessary if it would cost another life.  I knew the person who cause the last incident personally and I know that this spirit wouldn’t cause it again!  Chikara please you must understand this isn’t right when it seems like he isn’t a threat and if Shizen knew a way how to solve the killing issue don’t you think she would have done it by now!  Please understand our parents wouldn’t want this.

Agni: (He takes an interest in what he just said, raising an eyebrow).

Kishi: (Being just the knight he isn’t allowed to speak during this discussion but is doing his best to hold back everything in his head for once seeing Tori again).

Chikara: (Looks at Kyoda clearly not fully agreeing).  He may be our nephew, but I cannot ignore that the ability is a danger to others and must be dealt with at the least!

Shizen: (Sighs).  You two are very unbalanced in your views… The council needs a balance like Nagi and Shiro’s, but I know that you are doing your best as their children for now… However.  (Her eyes flash red with anger looking directly at Agni).  I will not allow you to take the boy away from where he belongs.  IF YOU EVEN THINK OF DOING ANYTHING, I WILL DEAL WITH YOU MYSELF ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Rowen: (He puts his hand on her shoulder knowing the rage she is feeling and the same for him, but he lets her do the talking).

Agni: Oh, but how are we taking him from where he belongs when he could kill the people he is trying to protect by a simple shift in his mood?  I would welcome the sparring match Shizen but that would need to be for another time.

Shizen: (She clenches her fist and grits her teeth with a low growl in anger).

Mizuko: (Has a look of sympathy to Shizen, Orion and the others with them wishing she was not out voted).

Chikara: That is enough, let’s get this over with.  (She nods and in a flash of light guards surround the group).

Jennifer: (In an instant she becomes unarmed by 4 guards that surround her as she grits her teeth as more guards heading towards Chazz, Hiki and Tori to surround them).

Kura: (Tries to get through but is quickly restrained as she struggles).  Let me go DON’T YOU DARE GO NEAR HIM!

Kairi: (She tears up even more looking for Yami not wanting him to go away).

Shizen: (Has an angered look at the guards but then notices streams of darkness flowing to somewhere a little further in back of her making her curse at the timing of it as Tori can feel the pull of darkness as well as Kishi, Kyoda and the dark spirit guards with them).

Tori: (He and all the other dark spirits feel the pull of energy and he begins to panic).  Yami don’t do it!

Yami: (Is in back oh everyone standing a little further in back but more forward from the tree he was sitting in.  He seems frozen where he stands with a fearful and panicked look in his eyes from what is happening unable to control the ability with his emotions like this).

Chikara: (Sees Yami now and sighs looking at Kishi as if he already knows his role in this).  Kishi… You know what you must do.

Kura: (Her eyes widen as she clashes with one of the guards that hold her back in a panic).

Shizen: (Starts to run to Yami but clashes with 4 guards who struggle to keep her back needing back up from more guards as the others surround Orion and Rowen).

Kishi: (In an instant he is already behind Yami and places his hands on his shoulders).  Yami… Please calm down, you’re hurting everyone else… Please just calm down… It’s time to sleep again….  (In an instant he knocks Yami out and stops his ability from being used for the time being).

Yami: (In that moment he slowly looks back at Kishi still frozen in his fears a bit as he falls to his knees from being knocked over the head as he is whispering).  … No….

Kairi: (She tries to run to Yami but is held back but she is able to reach a handout give energy to Yami).

Kura: (Tries to struggle to reach Yami but is unable to like Kairi so she reaches her hand out to give him her dark energy while shouting for him to snap out of it).  YAMI GO RUN!

Yami: (As energy is being given to him making him wake up and Kura’s shouting making him snap out of it while laying there he nods and disappears into the shadow to come out of another shadow where trees are growing to the side of them.  He bolts into the forest as if in a fight or flight type of mindset as he continues repeating no but a little louder from everything happening and his own fears).

Kishi: (He sighs).  I really didn’t want this to be harder than it already is…But ok then… Again, I’m sorry everyone….  (He begins to chase after Yami with a similar type of speed that Kairi uses).

Shizen: (She tries to get past then makes a quick decision to make a guard trip up with a vine near Tori giving him a small opening).  GO!

Tori: (Speeds after them in instant as he begins to fly towards the general direction where the two of them went).

Yami: (As the others clash with guards trying to get to him, he runs as possibly can with adrenaline taking over a bit as he pulls out his knives to defend himself.  He can feel the fear in him as he’s in a fight or flight. He looks behind him to see if anyone’s there as he reaches a darker area of the forest as he absorbs dark energy because of his panic and emotions not that he can control it at the moment as he keeps looking in back of him as he runs).

Kishi: (As he runs, he gets ahead of him and blocks Yami’s path with a dark aura surrounding him).  Ok now Yami that’s enough.

Yami: (Grits his teeth and punches Kishi with darkness swirling around his fist to try and get past).  LEAVE ME ALONE!

Kishi: (He takes the punch as he grabs Yami’s arm).  Just listen to me for one second!

Yami: (Still is in his panic as he tries to pull away).  NO, I’M NOT GOING BACK!  (As he says this her knees Kishi hitting a very painful area for a guy even though there’s armor there just focusing on trying to get away as his ears become more pointed and teeth more canine as he takes some darkness still).

Kishi: (After being hit he feels a sting but manages to hang onto Yami).

Yami: (As a last attempt to try and get out of Kishi’s he bites onto the arm holding onto him even though covered in armor and leather with a small growl).

Kishi: (He starts to get annoyed).  Just listen to me for one second Yami!

Yami: (Looks behind him and up at Kishi with an angered look although the fear clear in his eyes).  Fine but not going to rot in a cell and die!  I didn’t mean to kill those people and not going to be taken away by fire, I’m not going with him!

Tori: (As he gets there soon after he grabs Kishi’s arm and pulls him away with his wings spread out).

Kishi: (Being pulled away from Yami by Tori he can’t help but grit his teeth).  Dammit Tori though it’s nice seeing you have gotten much stronger, but I can’t let you stop me from doing this.

Tori: Dammit Kishi leave us, I don’t want to fight you! 

Kishi: Then let me talk to him for one minute!  (He has the dark fire in his eyes meaning he is completely serious with Tori knowing those very well).

Yami: (Grits his teeth and yells at Kishi as he faces him in a defensive stance).  Then just tell me already, get it over with just stop hunting me like a monster!

Kishi: (He sighs as Tori let’s go of him).  Fine… If you come now there is an easy way to get you out in a day or two.  I will be placed in charge of guarding you and another spirit that is there that after having contact with her she can help everyone get you out….

Yami: (Pauses as he lets his guard down with a surprised look).  Your… Going to break me out… Why… It’s not like I didn’t do a lot bad things… So why are you doing that… Why help me….

Kishi: Because I know your can do better than anyone else at controlling this.  I want to know for sure you can sleep at night without being scared for once and I’m doing this because this is wrong for what they are doing to you.  Even if I stand against my own sister, I won’t let this happen to anyone innocent since it isn’t what my parents taught me.

Yami: (Leans against the tree he’s near and looks up as he thinks).  I guess that was the last time I sort of slept when caught me on the street even if not that long… Is that why you let me go that easily? I’m not exactly innocent, I took lives the day I was born… And what if I can’t control it… I mean every time I even get a little upset, I hurt someone… So, I don’t blame them for thinking I’ll become a monster like my dad… I just… Didn’t know what else to do I guess….  (He looks down at his hand as he creates a ball of darkness from the darkness around him with streams coming up from it like smoke as his red eyes glow in the darkness as he looks at it).

Kishi: (He sighs).  Well even if you begin to lose control isn’t there people who will be there to help you regain your sense’s.  I know you didn’t mean too but no matter what I know you’re a good kid Yami.

Yami: (Smiles a little as he puts out the darkness in his hand).  Guess I have a few people now that deal with me for some reason… Don’t want to hurt them… But not as bad as before. Just don’t know how that happened but guess their ok.  (He grins at Tori feeling a little better Kishi is trying to help).

Kishi: Ok then good, so to make things easier on everyone please just come with me for a little bit, ok?

Yami: (Pauses as he thinks looking from Tori then back to Kishi).  … You promise I’m coming back… Right? But mostly… Promise that none of them get hurt.  (He looks directly at into Kishi’s eyes with seriousness in his glowing red eyes as he walks up and looks up at him).

Kishi: I will do everything I can on my end.  It will be up to everyone else to get you but knowing your sister and friends they be there in a day or even less if they could.

Tori: (He laughs a little).  And we will be there to bring you back no matter the cost

Yami: (Looks at both Tori and Kishi again).  Ok… I guess you have to arrest me now, right?  I know you got to do it anyways… Wow I always thought being a knight kind of was cool long time ago too since Kuro wanted to be one too… Guess jobs not as cool sometimes….

Kishi: No, they really can be great and cool… But it isn’t cool when you know you’re doing something that you know is wrong… But unfortunately, yes, I have to “arrest you”.  (He makes air quotes up with his fingers).

Yami: (Can’t help but laugh at the air quotes but then sighs seeing what looks like handcuffs attached to Kishi’s belt and reaches for them.  He pauses looking at the handcuffs in his hands now seeming to hesitate with some of his fears he had been thinking about recently).

Tori: It will fine Yami.  (He places his fist up for a fist bump).  We will their to get you as soon as we can.  I promised Kuro I would always have your back so count on it.

Yami: (Feels reassured by Tori’s words and raises his arms to his to fist bump back).  Ok, just make sure everyone else safe….  (Once reassured it would be alright, he starts to put the handcuffs on himself from behind his back and once he has them on looks up at Kishi again).

Kishi: Ok then come with me and stay by me.  I’ll make sure nothing goes wrong while your near me, ok?

Yami: (Pauses before nodding that he understands).  Will kind of look weird with looking like not much of a fight… Well guess there was a little.

Kishi: I’ll just say I just convinced you to come peacefully since it will be the easiest explanation.

Yami: Ok if you say so… Guess should get going huh.  (He seems fine at first glance but when looking in his eyes can see the worry and fear flooding his mind like how Tori saw him earlier with his instincts).

Tori: (He and Kishi knock him on the head).  Calm down now.  It will be ok just be brave?  We won’t let anything happen to you and we will make sure there is a home for you to return too.

Yami: (Gets an annoyed and grumpy look like he normally would).  Hey, I’m not scared and quit hitting me.  I probably could have won if we fought more too!

Tori: Yes, yes keep telling yourself that Yami.

Yami: (Grins at the challenge then goes back to looking more serious with a thought as he looks at Kishi).  Just… Keep that Agni guy away… Can’t promise I won’t kill or at least bite the asshole or something.  (Can see a deep anger as his fists clench behind his back).

Kishi: (He nods his head).  Ok, trust me I don’t like the fellow just as much and since you’re a dark spirit, you would be under my brother’s protection not the fire spirits.

Yami: (Nods understanding Kishi and sighs).  Ok… Want to say goodbye to all of them before leaving… I guess just say that’s what required leaving without struggle or something… Since know Kairi and Kura not gonna like this.

Tori: I’ll explain to them what’s going on, but I’ll follow behind you.

Kishi: Thank you and knowing Kura she is going to try to attack so I apologize in advance… It’s really her?  (He says the last part more quietly to himself still with some disbelief).

Yami: Thanks, probably still be mad knowing her.  (He looks up at Kishi seeming confused).  Wait how’d you know it was her, hair, and eyes all blue?  She used it to disguise before.

Kishi: (He laughs a little with a sad smile afterwards).  I knew how your mother looked for the years she came over to the house… so knowing how Kura was when she was younger and how she adored your mom.  Of course, she would try to disguise herself like your mom.

Yami: (Looks down as he thinks about what Kishi said for a moment but still not sure how to feel or respond about the information).  So, looks like our mom?… Huh… Well, umm let’s get going I guess….  (He starts to walk ahead of both Kishi and Tori with thoughts on what Kishi just said as he tries to imagine it still having trouble though without knowing for real, he tries to focus on what’s going on now instead).

Kishi: (As he leads the two towards the exit to the forest yet he also begins to have a bad feeling about this, yet he can’t bring himself to say anything).

Yami: (Looks at the forest seeing they are reaching the end of it and sighs before he Kishi and Tori are seen looking away from it).

Shizen: (Sees the movement first and is about to try getting past the guards but notices Tori is walking with them and is unwounded become puzzled by what happened in the forest with some of the others wondering the same).

Kura: (Instantly tries reaching out to Yami frantically while trying to get past the guards holding her back).  No Yami!  Let him go!

Kairi: (Does the same as Kura as she starts to tear up).  Please do not take Yami away!

Jennifer: (Tries to jump for her bow again but is held back as well gritting her teeth).

Kishi: (He just looks down as creates a small wall of dark fire and walks Yami over to Kura and Kairi).  You have 5 minutes.

Shizen: (She watches Kura and Kairi with sadness but also looks at Tori pulling him towards her so he can let her, and Orion know what had happened).

Kura: (Her eyes widen looking at Kishi and then Yami as she is let go to hug Yami tightly as tears begin to fall).  No… Please no… He doesn’t deserve any of this… Please….

Yami: (Says quietly as he looks down).  Sis… It’s ok… It’ll be ok.

Kairi: (Grabs Kishi’s arm holding onto it tightly before he moves away while looking up at him with big beggful teary eyes).  Please… Do not take Yami away….

Kishi: (He wants to say everything but seeing on how close Agni is watching him he can’t bring himself to say anything but one thing).  I’m sorry.

Kairi: (Tears fall as she quickly hugs Yami with Kura her tears flowing just as heavily).

Jennifer: (Now being released by the guards she begins to walk towards Yami with Chazz and Hiki as she wipes the tears in her eyes not knowing what she can do).

Yami: (Pauses in the hug but after a few seconds leans into the hug doing his best to hug back with hands behind his back but still doing his best to comfort them).

Kairi: (Her and Kura’s eyes widen at actually being hugged back by Yami which makes their emotions overwhelm them even more).

Hiki: (Has been crying with Chazz holding her in a hug to help her deal with the rush of sadness).

Tori: (He explains everything to Shizen and Orion quickly and quietly).

Shizen: (As Tori explains the plan, she nods understanding looking a Kishi but still has a look clearly that she disapproves the plan narrowing her eyes at Agni in a glare as she goes over to Yami kneeling to his height with a glowing hand she hides until the glow fades and she subtlety shows a green gem to Yami remembering it the same one Kairi and Chazz were given).

Yami: (Yami quickly takes the gem in his mouth a shallows it as a moment later well as grabbing one of the hair pins in Kairi’s hair as he let’s go of the hug hiding it in his mouth only Tori noticing him do this).

Tori: (As he sighs seeing Yami do that).  Well, I guess things will work out then.  Just got to believe in him.  (Shizen hears him only)

Shizen: (Smiles at Tori).  Ahh, I trust Kishi fully, he’s like his father in what he believes in… So, his side of things are not what I sense danger from. (She glares at Agni while saying that knowing he will be up to something).

Agni: (Upon seeing the group have their hug he can’t help but smile and wave at Shizen as he silently says).  Welcome to my plan Shizen… It’s all going according to it.

Shizen: (Grits her teeth in anger and clenches her fists as she tries to figure out what Agni is planning with this).

Yami: (As he is being hugged tightly by Kairi and Kura, he sees the others are upset as well seeing Hiki and Jennifer is crying too along with Kura and Kairi).  Come on aren’t Hiki and Kairi the ones with that goofy smile.  Come on too much crying in this.

Kairi: (Tries to wipe her eyes but it not working at all).  I can’t help it I do not want to say goodbye… Please do not go.

Yami: (Leans in to hug Kairi again).  Come on I’ll be back… It won’t be that long just… Take care of everyone… Be safe ok… Don’t worry about me.

Kura: (Joins the hug again as her emotions are still overwhelming).  You can’t tell me not to worry Yami, I can’t accept this.  You did nothing wrong!  You don’t deserve it, you’re a little boy.  You shouldn’t have to deal with all of this, and you should be able to at least sleep one night peacefully you, shouldn’t have to just give up on it and stay up.  You shouldn’t be in a cell you’re not a criminal, you’re just a little boy.  You shouldn’t have to struggle like this!  (She says in a quieter voice but still breakdowns with Yami in her arms).  What good am I as a big sister… If I can’t even protect you from all the pain you’ve been through… What kind of sad excuse for a big sister am I..? And why am I not able to protect you now… You deserve better than struggling with the pain in your mind… You deserve to just be a happy kid that I’ve seen slowly break… Why can’t I protect that…? Why can’t I protect you…?

Kishi: (As he struggles to keep himself together, he puts his hand on Yami’s shoulder).  It’s time Yami… I’m sorry Kura… May your mother forgive me.

Kura: (Just holds onto Yami closer and tighter as tears flow heavily).  No… Please don’t… Please….

Yami: (Says to Kura as he looks down).  You do your best protecting me… But I want to protect you so try not to cry to much through this… I’ll be ok… Just hang on to Kairi….  (He looks at everyone else with a small smile from Kura’s and Kairi’s hug as both have heavy tears).  Just… Take care, ok?

Hiki: (As she leaves Chazz’s side while holding his hand, she goes over to hug Yami too knowing he never wanted a hug from her, but she does not care, just hugs him from behind and knocks him a bit over).  Idiot… Idiot… Idiot… What happened to being where you belong… What happened to happily living here… What is making you want to leave… I’m sorry… I’m sorry… Don’t leave Yami… We need you here just as much as anyone else….

Yami: (Looks down accept being surrounded in hugs at the moment).  I guess I was starting to think I could stay no problem too… But come on… I don’t want any of you guys getting into trouble or getting hurt… Not again… So just let me go for a little bit… And Tori will explain what’s going on… Just… Let me go for now… You have to… Sorry.

Kura: (Just holds tight as she cries not really able to get as many words out as before).  You know… You sound too much like Kuro….

Jennifer: (Goes to sit behind Kairi with tears in her eyes).  No one will accept this… So do not think this little group is going to leave like this… We will catch up… And do whatever it takes to get you out of this.

Kairi: (Holds onto Yami just as much as Kura as she cries uncontrollably doing everything she can to hold on as long as possible).

Kishi: (Even more he struggles as he just looks down while he taps Yami’s shoulder).  I’m sorry.

Yami: (Looks down as well knowing Kishi doesn’t have a choice).  Yeah, I know… I gotta go….  (He slowly stands but the hugging making it difficult to do so).  I’m sorry… I gotta go….

Kairi: (She tries to wipe her tears, but it is not working).  We are going to come get you Yami… I do not want to say goodbye forever….

Shizen: (Says in a serious voice).  We will journey to capital just until then, Orion and I will speak on your behalf to help your case… We will make it there as soon as we can manage.

Yami: (Continues looking away).  Yeah, I know… But come on… Gotta let go of me.  (He says to the ones hugging him).

Kairi: (Looks up at him with heavy tears as she tries to loosen her grip as Jennifer holds onto her making her hug Jennifer back tightly and cry looking at Yami).

Kura: (Has the most trouble letting go unable to say anything else just trying to hold on for as long as she possibly can).

Yami: (Sighs knowing Kura would take this the hardest as he moves both Hiki and Kura off knowing he has to even though it hurts them mumbling a sorry as he pushes them off.  He walks up to Kishi but looks back at everyone one more time with a small smile to try reassuring them but it’s not very convincing since the way he was acting with fear is still slightly in his eyes clearly hiding his instincts from them.  He wants to be strong and act how he usually does for Kura and the others making himself grin towards them, but it quickly fades when turning away).

Tori: (He looks down as Hiki cries into Chazz’s arms as Rowen and Orion look down as well seeming disappointed in themselves as Luna and Maru are in awe from what has just happened).

Yami: (As he is being led by Kishi now he stops a second passing Maru and Luna looking directly at Luna with a serious expression).  You’re keeping your promise… Right?

Luna: (It takes a second for her to recollect herself).  Yes, I will be there if worse comes to worse… I’ll put you down so your sister doesn’t live with the guilt… I will live with the hatred.

Maru: (He and Kishi both look surprised as what Luna has just said).  Wait Luna….

Yami: (Just smiles looking reassured and nods).  Thanks…. (As he says this he begins to walk away again not needing to say much more since it was already said before.  Kishi almost has to shake out of his surprise so he can stay in front of Yami).

Kishi: (As he shakes out of the weird feelings from the statement, he brings Yami over to Kyoda and Chikara).  Well, he is here, what are we doing now.

Chikara: (Steps forward first but isn’t looking directly at Kishi and Yami though her voice acting strong and commanding as her roll demands even if it sounds harsh).  Good work Kishi, we are to take him to a more secure cell not near the other dark spirits as a precaution and have the court assemble on this matter in three days time hopefully.

Yami: (Looks at Chikara and seems like his normal self when opening his mouth when he shouldn’t with a grin).  What you think I’m gonna break out again.

Chikara: (Sighs).  I see he has as much manners as last time.  Don’t talk out of turn.

Yami: (Has a grumpy expression towards his aunt).  Don’t tell me what to do.

Kyoda: Well regardless of your political feelings Chikara I think it is wise to also try and be nice to your nephew at least since it is the first time you are seeing him in years now.

Chikara: (Sighs).  Perhaps after our duties are taken care of, we can act like a big happy family… But for now, he is a prisoner of the council, and we must put our duties first.

Yami: (Gets surprised at how cold Chikara is).  Wow… Guess a lot of stuff happened?

Chikara: (Keeps her face serious as taking her role in the council just as seriously).  I will not take this lightly again since the count of dark spirits harmed by this ability have been almost countless.

Kyoda: (He sighs).  And this why we can’t get along as well anymore Chikara but regardless we shall talk about it more tomorrow.

Chikara: (Nods saying nothing more to it as she approaches Yami while creating a light seal in her hand).

Yami: (Leans away being weary of the seal in her hand).  What’s that for?

Chikara: To block your darkness energy, don’t worry I will be there to release it when needed.

Yami: (Snaps at Chikara now knowing what it’s for, his emotions about seals like that making him take a very small amount of darkness).  Hey, I didn’t agree to that!

Chikara: Even so it must be done.  (She places the seal on Yami before his attempt to get away from it).

Yami: (Curses once it’s on him but since he’s taking a little darkness, he feels a shock go through him every time he uses his power.  The more he tries the bigger the shock with bigger what looks like white electricity on him making him grit his teeth and curse again though not really feeling the pain as much behind it although it does make him stop).

Chikara: Let’s head back… Yami… You’ve grown since last time…  (She walks away with that done seeming like she wanted to say something more sincere but holds it back changing what she says without another word to Yami or her brother’s as Yami deals with the electric shocks every time he’s unintentionally slightly taking darkness and more when he acts out or uses his power).

Kyoda: (He sighs as he walks by Yami and whispers).  I apologize for your aunt but no need to worry, when you’re alone with Kishi he will be giving you energy through a handshake which will bypass the seal so you will still receive energy.

Yami: (Shrugs it off like its nothing as he has calmed down from the seal).  No big deal, guess I get why she’s mad.  Kind of got used to it.  Thought you guys do the same kind of thing at some point.  (He shrugs again as he walks behind both Kishi and Kyoda as he looks around as all the guards and different colors of armor with interest like when he was smaller).

Kyoda: (Both he and Kishi sigh knowing deep inside that Yami is grateful but regardless they keep walking in front of Yami).

Yami: (Continues looking around as they approach the gate stopping for a few seconds to look back at the forest where he left everyone with some sadness looking downwards as he continues to catch up a guard pushing him along.  As he walks, he can feel a presence coming over beside him with the air warming slightly as he is looking away still.  He clenches his fist behind him and grits his teeth as angers swells in him making a seal shock him a little).

Agni: (He comes up behind Yami and places his hand on Yami’s shoulder).  No offense Yami, it wasn’t up to me it was just a gathered vote… So, no hard feelings, right?

Yami: (Instantly he looks back at Agni once his hand is on his shoulder.  He has a look at Agni with a deep rage not buying any of it as he makes a low growl).  Yeah right, not stupid, and not going to fall for that crap asshole….

Agni: (He makes a sarcastic sigh).  Oh well I tried.

Yami: Whatever.  (He is still filled with anger and clearly showing in his expression as he says in a warning tone).  Now get your hand off before I take it off.

Agni: Yes, I’ll be taking my leave now since I’ll have a better chance to talk to you later anyway.

Yami: (As he has been holding back his anger, he finally breaks it and bites down on Agni’s hand as hard as he can the fangs making it a deeper wound.  As he does this, he is constantly being shocked painfully by the seal on him which uses up some of his energy not that he cares about it now).

Agni: Oww!  (He yells out as guards begin to swarm Yami).  Get off my hand you little menace!

Yami: (Continues to look at Agni with rage as he refuses to let go as guards try to pull him away as white lightening increases the electric jolts around Yami’s body though he still bites down just as hard).

Chikara: (Quickly goes back to where the situation is going on to see what Yami has done and has a strict tone not that Yami listens not caring the lightning is increasing).  Yami, you are assaulting a council member, release him now!

Kishi; (He manually gets Yami off Agni’s hand).  That’s enough Yami!

Kyoda: (He sighs as Agni’s hand bleeds).  Well, we figured this would happen.

Yami: (As he is lifted and pulled away, he still has anger in his eyes looking at Agni as he spits to the side since he drew blood as he grits his teeth).

Agni: (As he covers his hand with his uninjured hand).  Oww oh now you have done it now you little….

Yami: (Still tries to struggle in Kishi’s arms as he is taken away from the situation).

Chikara: (Sighs and goes to help Kishi and Kyoda with Yami).

Mizuko: (Sighs and shakes her head quietly as she slowly goes over to Agni, not seeming to agree with his views but still faces him.  A water with a light blue glow covers her hand as she is directly in front of him.  She holds out her hand towards him but looks downwards with little said).  Your hand please?

Agni: (Ss he shrugs and holds out his hand).  Thank you for being kind Mizuko, I greatly appreciate it.

Mizuko: (Nods as she places her hands on Agni’s as the water goes over the wound.  There is a little steam from the water and fire energies but as she lifts her hand the wound is healed).  There you are then….  (She looks away and walks past Agni sighing again as she leaves clearly not happy about the situation still).

Agni: (As Mizuko leaves he waves goodbye with a smile on his face).  See you.  (As she leaves, he can’t help but think of the next step he needs to take as he feels a very familiar presence nearby).  Well, there’s the worst assassin ever to grace my presence.  Yet I do need to play her again in chess.

Adara: (Is sitting on a tree branch above Agni casually with her green face mask up and a red scarf with her outfit matching like when she last Agni saw her with mostly red and her hood up.  She looks down at him with a slight sarcastic look in her green eyes).  Well, if I killed you, it would quite hard finding another person who could be challenging.  Also, I wouldn’t say it’s bad job just liking a clothing fashion at least, plus I don’t think they would send a little girl to take on such a task so long ago to still have it not be done.

Agni: True it would be harder to have a good game with an assassin when all they want to do is kill though you don’t seem like one now, just a random companion.

Adara: (Has a little bit of an amused look).  I suppose but then again, it’s good to keep things a mystery.  It’s almost like a very long guessing game for you.  (She laughs a little).

Agni: I guess so in a way it is like that isn’t it?

Adara: I suppose but I am just a random person who will visit whether you like it or not.  For now, I have someone I need to visit but I look forward to the next game… It will be quite an interesting one.  (She glances at Yami in the distance as people try to calm him down then back to Agni as she bites her thumb trying to analyze the situation though she keeps it to herself as she leaves to look at the seal she copied from his study as she travels).

Agni: (As he sees his favorite assassin leave, he sighs).  Well hopefully I can learn who you are really… That is the game I look forward to the most… Though I wonder on how this plan will work in the end.

 

The council head through the gate they had come from as the group back at the mansion try to recollect each other with Tori explaining to everyone what Kishi’s plan is that he hadn’t told yet.  Most still have a feeling of sadness of how this happened but also hearing Tori are determined to bring Yami back.

Kairi: (Looks up at Tori hopefully as she tries to wipe her eyes).  So, we are going to go get Yami?  Can we go now?

Jennifer: (Grabs her bow looking determined to leave right that moment).  I can message our mother home right away to let her know.  We should leave as soon as possible.

Shizen: (Still has her fists clenched with anger but tries to speak calmly though wanting to punch something as hard as possible.  She stands next to Rowen and Orion holding back the feeling in front of everyone for now).  Once I have a map of the spirits world I will try and figure out the best way to get to the neutral city the council is in.  It may be little bit of traveling involved if some gates are closed off to us.

Tori: (As much as he wants to get him right now, he knows he should wait).  Yeah… Let us wait to get map first, can’t just charge right away….

Rowen: If we did it would ruin the entire plan and further risk Yami’s life.

Kairi: (Looks at the parts of the forest where Yami left still with hope).  Please hold on Yami… We’re going to bring you back… We have to.

Jennifer: (Looks at Kairi and kneels to hug her in comfort).  It will be alright….

Kura: (Still is in the same spot Yami broke away from her and is motionless with her head down and face in the shadows as everyone is discussing what they will do).

Hiki: (As she is talking with Chazz and Jennifer, she finally gets closer to Kura and kneels down next to her).  Hey Kura….

Kura: (Doesn’t respond to Hiki her face still in the shadows as she blames herself).

Hiki: (She place her hands on Kura’s shoulder and shakes her a little bit).  Hey, hey Kura come on now you’re scaring me.

Kura: (Still doesn’t respond right away as she stays where she is).  I wasn’t strong enough to keep him here… To keep him safe.  (Her fists clench on the ground).

Kairi: (Starts to tear up in Jennifer’s arms seeing Kura like this).  We are going to get him back… It will be alright.

Hiki: No… No, it wasn’t that you weren’t strong enough… Yami just didn’t want to see you hurt again… He can withstand the pain as long as it is for the sister he loves.

Kura: (Tears go down her cheeks as she shakes her head).  No… No, I don’t want that kind of pain for him anymore… Please… And why didn’t they take me too… Then at least I could be there to protect him.

Jennifer: (Hears Kura and sighs).  We are going as soon as possible do not worry and they may not of all recognized you with the blue in your hair.

Kura: (Hears Jennifer and lifts a strand of her hair that is blue having forgotten about the blue hair and eyes as she makes them change back to red).  I see… I guess he realized that….

Tori: The only people who realized who you were was Kishi and Kyoda and Chikara since they knew Aunt Hitomi personally.

Kura: (Sighs).  At least he can be kept safe then right…?  Please protect him until we can… Please….  (She says shaking as she is starting to break down in her worries).

Hiki: (She rushes to hug like the first one she gave her in comfort).  Stop that bad thinking now… Please… We will get him back.

Kura: (Responds by leaning into the hug as if she really needed it at the moment).

Hiki: (She pets her head).  It’s alright now… No more crying now… Yami would be upset to see you cry….

Tori: (He can’t help but get a little teary eyed as well seeing Hiki and Kura like this).

Shizen: (Sighs and clenches her fists from the situation then sees Luna and Maru are still with them as well).  Luna I am sure you will be called to the court a day or two from now about your opinion as a witness to the situation then and Maru I suggest if she does that you stay behind.

Maru: No, I should-.

Luna: (She cuts him off before he can finish speaking and nods her head).  I will be the witness of it more than likely and depending on the situation before I get there, I might have Maru accompany since his opinion matters just as much.

Shizen: Very well, we will more than likely be meeting again then.  (She looks to Orion).  We may have to travel through one or both of our territories to do this.  Well need to come up with a plan once we make a appearance in the court.  I trust Kishi and Kyoda will do their best on their side of things.

Orion: (He shakes his head in agreement).  Right now, we will wait to get the hearing so we just have to place our trust in those two for now that Yami will be fine.

Shizen: (Has a more serious expression as she nods).  I understand… Though they are not the part that concerns me, that bad feeling is still there… I know he has a plan in this somewhere.  (She narrows her eyes at the thought of Agni as her fists clench trying to figure out his plans in this).

Rowen: (He puts his hand into her hand).  It is alright Shizen, breathe for a second.  It will not help calm everyone down if you are serious the entire time.  Just trust Kishi and Kyoda alright?

Shizen: (Looks at Rowen for a moment then sighs knowing he is right as she holds his hand back tightly).  I understand….

??????: (A woman’s voice is heard approaching them).  If it would help, you are welcome to pass through my territory as well.

Shizen: (She looks in the direction of the very familiar voice and smiles).  Oh, Mizuko you haven’t left then?

Jennifer: (Lifts her bow since she and the others don’t know who is approaching).

Shizen: It’s alright she is very close to Orion and I, we can trust her.

Mizuko: (Nods with a bow having a small, kind and concerned smile with her hands in the sleeves of her blue kimono).  I am sorry about what happened, is anyone hurt?

Orion: No Mizu…. Everyone is fine physically minus the emotional trauma at the moment.

Mizuko: (Looks down).  I see… If it helps, I am on your side in this as well as Kyoda though I prefer my territory stay peaceful in this.

Shizen: (Goes over to Mizuko with a reassuring smile).  Mizu it is fine, I know you will help and for now just letting us pass through your territory like any normal travelers would help.

Kairi: (Looks at Mizuko).  I think Shizen mention your name, you are like sisters.

Shizen: (Pats Kairi’s head).  Well, Mizuko, Orion and I are quite close though Mizuko has always been the shy one.

Mizuko: (Gets embarrassed).  Shizen it is not like that… It is just I am quieter I suppose.

Jennifer: (Walks over as well to greet Mizuko).  Wow then you are the water council member, it is nice to meet you and we are happy you are helping.

Mizuko: (Smiles politely).  I just wish I had enough votes on my side to help more.

Orion: She always has been like this, can’t really try to be put in the spotlight since she always shys behind a little when she gets flustered.

Rowen: (He chuckles a little as Mizuko reminds him of some other girls he knows).

Mizuko: (Gets a slight blush).  I have gotten better at the flustered part… But it is nice to see both of you in person, it has been a few centuries at least.

Shizen: (Thinks back).  Yes, it has been quite long with me hiding for a bit and Orion’s contract.  Though I wish it was better circumstances.

Mizuko: (Nods and looks at Rowen noticing an earth medallion clipped onto his suit).  You must be the one with Orion’s contact back then.  It is nice to meet you.  (She bows politely).

Rowen: (He bows as well).  Yes, I am, it is very nice to meet you and Orion has said many things about you.

Mizuko: (Starts to blush looking from Orion then back to Rowen hoping it is nothing embarrassing).  W-what did he say?

Rowen: Well… He said you were always like a little sister… Yet they wouldn’t trade you for the world because of how much you mean to him.

Mizuko: (Has a surprised look as she faces Orion and folds her hands looking down as she blushes).  Thank you, Orion….

Shizen: (Laughs a little patting Mizuko’s shoulder).  If it were anyone else, I bet embarrassing stories would have been told.

Orion: (He smiles as he scratches his head).  Yeah, she is right… And no problem, Mizu.

Mizuko: (Smiles and nods looking at the group as a whole).  I can tell you what had happened with Yami as we were leaving at least and give what information I can.  He seemed quite calm most of the way to the gate though.

Kura: (Perks up looking at Mizuko intently wanting to know how Yami is doing).

Kairi: (Has a hopeful look hearing Mizuko).  So, he is alright?

Mizuko: (Nods).  Yes, though he did lash out at Agni and bite him when approached.

Shizen: (Clenches her fists hearing this, knowing Agni would not stay out of this).  At least that little one has a strong bite.

Mizuko: It was quite a deep wound to heal.

Shizen: (Pauses then sighs at Mizuko).  Mizu… Your too kind… He doesn’t deserve it….

Mizuko: (Looks down and away).  I am sorry… I can’t help it.

Orion: (He sighs with Shizen).  Well, that’s just who you are but regardless you are a very kind person Mizu.

Hiki: (As he is hanging onto Kura, she smiles seeing that she has cheered up even a little bit).

Mizuko: I know….

Shizen: (Places a hand on Mizuko’s shoulder saying quietly).  I know your still waiting for him to change back but he won’t.  There’s too much destruction that has happened in this path he chose… But then again Orion is right.  Showing compassion to others even when undeserved is just who you are.  Just be careful because of it… Not all people are even close to as kind as you are.  (She hugs Mizuko).

Mizuko: (Smiles and hugs Shizen back).  Your right, I can’t help believing a person still has good in them but thank you both for looking out for me in that.  (She let’s go of the hug then looks at the group).  You have created a supportive little group here… I will do all I can to help with passage through the water territory and information being sent… Just be very careful on your journey, there’s a lot of dangerous things in the spirit world that the human world doesn’t have.  (She has a look of concern especially for the younger people in the group).

Chazz: I believe there will be no need to worry… From all the events we have been through it will work out just fine.

Hiki: (She smiles as does Tori as they bring reassurance to Mizuko).

Orion: I’m pretty sure… That through all of this we will be just fine in the end since those three right there are as stubborn as can be when it comes to doing what is right but the rest of the group will have their own resolve in this.

Kairi: (Has a determined look).  We are bringing Yami back no matter what!

Jennifer: (Nods in agreement with Kairi).  He is a part of this group.  We need to be there for him.

Kura: (Looks at everyone’s determined expressions and nods while standing up).  Whatever it takes….

Mizuko: (Smiles at the determined looks and sighs in relief).  Very well… But I must go then, they will wonder where I had disappeared to.

Orion: Ok then, well when we are in the territory I will come visit and talk to you a bit more to catch up on things ok?

Mizuko: I would like that, and once you come back perhaps make this one you are contracted with a advisor of yours.

Shizen: (Cannot help but laugh).  Well, he could guarantee peace between nature and earth if so, that’s for sure.

Mizuko: (Pauses once the comment looking from Shizen to Rowen and seeing her hold his hand and smiles).  You moved on, I’m happy for you.

Shizen: (Nods and smiles back).  Yes… Now you need to move on from him as well.

Mizuko: (Pauses again but nods understanding).  I know… It’s just hard to explain… But I must be going, goodbye for now. (She does one more bow farewell).

Shizen: (Places a hand on her shoulder with a smile).  Farewell Mizu, we will see you at some point during our travels.

Mizuko: (Nods and before everyone knows it, she is gone as if turning into water that falls only leaving a puddle).

Orion: I can never get used to how she exits anything by becoming a puddle.

Rowen: (He chuckles silently to himself).

Shizen: (Laughs lightly).  Well, I find it amusing but at least we have another strong ally.

Jennifer: (Is beside Shizen looking at the puddle as Kairi kneels to feel the water).  So, she is as strong as both of you since she is a council member as well?

Shizen: (Nods with a grin).  Yes, if not stronger, though she’s not one to show off.  She’s to humble for that.

Orion: It basically follows this type of chain, though when she was mad once… It wasn’t a good thing to see… She almost ended up flooding the city….

Chazz: Yes… I can see what you mean.  We will make sure to keep that in mind.  (He, Hiki and Tori shakes their heads nervously).

Kairi: (Something catches her eyes in the water, and she reaches for it inspecting a vile of very clear water).  What is this, did she leave this?

Shizen: (Notices the vile Kairi has picked up and laughs a little to herself).  Oh, she left some of her healing waters then as well.  It works quite well so I assume she still worries.  She always has been like that; we’ll need to thank her next time.

Kairi: (Smiles at the vile).  That is really nice.  (She stands up and goes to Hiki offering it to her).  You are the best at the healing things so you should keep it Hiki.

Hiki: (She smiles as she takes the vile).  Alright… I will make sure not to let you down and make this vile count when most needed.

Kairi: (Smiles up at Hiki).  But you never let us down, so do not worry and I know we will get Yami back!

Kura: (Sighs).  I would prefer we go now then.

Shizen: (Looks at Kura understanding how she feels).  We need to be prepared for the travel, so I suggest we leave before dawn.  It gives both Orion and I time to set up the things we need, and it makes sure everyone is rested enough.

Kura: (Is about to protest but just looks down understanding what Shizen is saying but wanting to go as soon as possible).

Hiki: (She gives Kura another hug with a huge reassuring smile).  It’s alright Kura, I’ll spend time with you today so that you aren’t that depressed.  Is that alright?

Kura: (Gives Hiki a small smile).  Thank you Hiki, it means a lot….

Kairi: (Is the next to hug Kura with a bright smile to try and help comfort her).  It will be alright, plus I am sure we will see a lot of amazing things while we travel, we can tell Yami about!

Kura: (Can’t help but smile with both Hiki and Kairi smiling at her and pats Kairi’s head).  I’m sure we will.

Hiki: Yes, we always do since there are so many things to see!  Let’s go with Yami next time and see everything we can!  (She cannot help but get all excited at the idea).

Kairi: We can show it all to him on the way back!

Kura: (Can’t help but laugh).  He probably will like that, though I doubt he will admit it.

Hiki: Well then, we will make him admit it!

Kairi: And hug him until he does!

Shizen: (Cannot help but laugh at Hiki and Kairi’s positivity but something grabs her attention in the direction of the forest area nearest only Orion and Rowen noticing a flicker of green light as well.  She looks towards the younger people of the group as she speaks).  Why don’t all of you get some training in.  Child why don’t you practice your new skill a little, I’m sure Hiki and Kairi will be happy to volunteer.

Jennifer: (Is a little surprised but nods looking at Hiki and Kairi).  If you do not mind.

Kairi: Ooh please, I wonder what it will be.  I hope it is cat ears!

Jennifer: (Laughs).  Well, I can try at least.

Hiki: Yay more animals!  (She gets all excited alongside Kairi as they try to cheer everyone up with their determined positivity).

Rowen and Orion: (Looks toward Shizen wondering if she has an idea what the light could be).

Shizen: (Looks at both Orion and Rowen and smiles).  Well, I will be back in a little bit.  There is something I need to attend to.  (She kisses Rowen’s cheek before she goes into the forest disappearing into it quickly).

Orion: (He cannot help but feel a sense of curiosity overcome him).  Ok now… Rowen I’ll be right back… I need to see this.

Rowen: Oh… Alright… Orion just be careful; I do not think Shizen will like that very much.

Orion: I would hope so.  (He begins to follow her from a distance).

Shizen: (Continues to walk deeper into the forest as Orion follows.  After a little walk she stops at a tree and looking up with a big grin and hands on her hips as Orion also sees a figure of a person sitting on a branch swinging her legs.  She wears green and red with her mask up and scarf as well as her hood still, but it is clear who it is to Orion from where he is).

Orion: Ohh that’s who it was, well maybe I should watch for a little bit more right now.  (As he hangs out leaning against a tree.  As he watches the mother and daughter, he overhears their conversation).

Adara: (Hops down from the tree branch pulling down her mask with a big grin).  Hi mom, I missed you.

Shizen: (Laughs and gives Adara a giant hug).  Hello, my baby girl, I’ve heard you’ve been very busy.  I’ve missed you too.

Adara: (Can’t help but laugh as well).  Mom I’m not a baby anymore.

Shizen: (Puts her hands on her hips stubbornly).  Hey, your my baby so I have a right to call you one.

Adara: (Has Shizen’s same grin as she laughs with her).  Fine as long as not around people, it’s embarrassing.

Shizen: Well, I can try, there are no promises.

Adara: (pretends to give a stubborn pout).  Aww now I know I’ll be embarrassed.

Shizen: Then you will just have to deal with it.

Adara: Ok but I did want to bring some news to you, I was watching Yami leave.

Shizen: (Her light tone changes into a little more serious of one).  Oh, and how is that little one?  He seemed safe.

Adara: (Leans against a tree as she talks).  Yes, but dad approached him and he was bit pretty harshly.  It was slightly amusing though on the other hand I know there is something odd with this.

Shizen: (Looks down).  So, you felt it too then.

Adara: (Starts to shuffle through her shoulder bag against her hip).  I found this seal last time I visited his study… One moment.  (Her attention is taken away from her mother for a moment looking where Orion hides).

Orion: (Meanwhile as he has kept his distance, as moves a little he accidentally stepping on a green and red seal which wraps him in vines restraining him and a thin flame barrier covering each vine.  Adara’s attention is caught as soon as the seal is hit and Shizen’s as well once the seal activates.  As he comes out from behind the tree, he holds his hands up).  Hey, hey I was caught, maybe I should take some lessons from Tori sometime on this.

Shizen: (Laughs shaking her head).  I thought I sensed a giant eve’s dropper.

Adara: Oh, looks like the seal is not exploding anymore, I suppose I made progress to the main components.  I’ll need to write that down.  (She laughs being amused and releases the seal as she goes over to hug Orion).  Well anyways it’s nice seeing you Uncle Orion.

Orion: (He hugs her back as he says while still hanging onto her).  It’s nice to see you too dear.

Adara: (Continues to grin).  Well, I guess I can share this information with both of you then.

Shizen: (Pauses to pretend to think looking at Orion).  Hmm I’m not sure… I suppose since he’s family.

Adara: Plus, already know from last time I snuck out there.

Shizen: (Sighs shaking her head hearing Adara).  And every time you do, I still become a worried wreak.

Adara: (Smiles reassuringly).  It’s fine, haven’t gotten hurt once and it’s not like fires going to burn me.

Shizen: (Pauses still).  It does not ease my worries as a mother.

Orion: Well, how about we just place our trust in her since she is your daughter so I’m sure she has already had a good head on her shoulders to this point.  Though it does seem she likes things to blow up sometimes.

Adara: Hey it only happens in trials of a complex magic or seals, there is no progress and accomplishments without some failed attempts to begin with.  It only motivates improvement.

Shizen: (Shakes her head with a smile).  And there’s that way of striving for intelligence you’ve always had.  I swear you have surpassed both of ours combined long ago and combined it with my independents and wild instincts when young.  (She laughs at how fast Adara has matured being proud of her).

Adara: (Has a amused look as she brushes her hair away).  Well, I only took the best parts.

Orion: And there’s the cocky side but regardless you can be a bundle of explosions sometimes.

Adara: (Pretends to pout like her feelings are hurt).  And you think that is a bad thing?

Shizen: (Sighs but pats Adara’s head with a smile still).  As long as you are careful but what news did you have for us?

Adara: Oh right. (She shuffles through the papers in her bag again, looking for the seal from before).  Orion you remember last time I went to my father’s study, correct?  I’ve been testing a sketch on his desk I copied and it’s quite puzzling.

Orion: (As he seems to get puzzled himself).  What do you mean dear?

Adara: Here let me show you.  (She takes out the paper and starts to draw a red glowing seal on the tree but with so many details it is hard for Shizen and Orion to follow it).  When I first tried to replicate this nothing seemed to happen so I concluded this must activate fully on a larger seal.  I also think these circles on the sides are separate seals are to stand and convert energy in some way, but I haven’t had enough energy to activate it fully but my instincts sense danger every time I do like there’s something missing, but I can’t find the main components here… It’s like an incomplete puzzle.  (She bites her thumb staring at the very complex seal.  It has two small seals on the opposite edges of a giant seal in the center as well as two places to stand she very quickly made as if memorized completely.  They can both see her mind looking at every angle extremely quickly with a focused look).

Shizen: (Looks at the seal her head tilting trying to understand).  I’m not sure what it is, it’s not at all familiar to other seals.

Adara: There are a few high skill ones mixed in as well as ones I’ve seen in rare books but it’s much more complicated than that and needs more than one powerful element at least.  (She continues to look at the seal while biting her thumb scanning every detail quickly).

Orion: (As he looks at the seal as trying to figure what Agni would do with such a weird seal and why he would need Yami).  Wait… Can’t Yami absorb a bottomless amount of energy?

Shizen: (Nods looking more serious at the seal trying to figure it out as well).  Yes a infinite amount of darkness although it is uncontrolled and he cannot regain his own.

Adara: I see….  (She quickly thinks then eyes snap wide digging in her bag again pulling out a pile of blank paper and pen and finding a solid part of the ground to write and draw quickly switching to a new one while ripping a few that didn’t work in her mind, her mind working extremely quickly).

Shizen: (Is curious as she watches Adara).  And there’s that brilliant mind at work.

Orion: Oh boy, I better sit down.  She may take a while to do all this.

Shizen: (Smiles watching Adara work).  Still amazes me though watching her… If anyone can keep up with a mind like her father’s, it’s her.  I even remember finding her with books starting on seals and abilities at 2 and 3… She learns so quickly.  (She has a big grin of pride in her daughter).

Orion: Well regardless of how her father is now.  You got to admit because of him you were given the chance to love this joy in your life.

Shizen: (Nods in agreement as she grins).  Your right Orion… Back then it was just happiness to be in a relationship… I’m sorry I didn’t realize sooner I was not the one who truly loved him but still wouldn’t trade it for anything… Because I got something that’s more precious to me than anything else… So, I wouldn’t trade that for anything… I just wonder if things would have been different if I found out before….  (She stops herself at the thought).  Never mind it’s only a what if… Things are the way they are now, and I can’t stop her from wanting to know him… I can only protect her from harm to the best my ability… I just need to know why she continues to go see him… Does she see something I can’t anymore.  (She has a look as if she’s deep in thought looking at Adara work).

Orion: (As he smiles as Shizen has an unknown smile on her face as she talks about Adara).  Well maybe you could ask her later or maybe she just has that missing symbol in her heart that only Agni can help fix up.

Shizen: (Sighs but still has the smile as she holds the locket wrapped around her wrist tightly).  Your right, even when very small she always asked where she got her fire from and wanted to know that side of her… Her curiosity with that is very understandable.

Orion: Well than don’t misunderstand what she is feeling than… She wants that side of her to be well known as well… And it’s only natural for your daughter to be curious.

Shizen: (Laughs a little patting Orion on the back).  You have a point Orion… And your very good with these types of things and deserve all of that for yourself again.  (She looks at Orion more sincerely with a hand on his shoulder).

Orion: (He looks down for a moment).  Yeah… She was very much like that… But still, she will keep holding a place in my heart.

Shizen: I remember how much you smiled then… And notice how much you smiled when with Kairi… It was nice seeing that side of you again… There are a lot of similarities after all.

Orion: Yeah….  (He looks up at Shizen with a shy smile as well as becoming a little teary eyed).  I just miss her so much… But in the end, she isn’t coming back.  I’m just doing my best to keep her in my heart.

Shizen: I can’t imagine that type of pain, but I know how precious those memories are… Perhaps one day you will be a father again… Not to replace but to have those types of memories again and for them to stay.  (She places a hand on Orion’s wrist holding up the stone on a bracelet in the rough shape of a duck).

Orion: Maybe I will but for right now I need to focus on what I need to protect now.

Shizen: (Smiles and nods).  I agree and right now we need to focus on making sure that this is resolved, and everyone is in a safe environment to grow.

Orion: Yes… All for the people… So, they don’t fear their future but embrace it.

Shizen: (Nods in agreement).  It is our job as the older generation to guide a path for the newer ones.  It’s why we became council members after all.

Adara: (As both Shizen and Orion talk Adara has made many sketches scattered across the ground.  She sits up and looks at all the papers one by one picking out ones that do not help as much as others and crumbling them up.  She continues to look them over while biting her thumb as she says quietly though Shizen and Orion hear her mumble which catches their attention).  What is he a reactor for…?

Orion: (As he catches wind of what Adara has said).  A reactor?

Adara: I considered Yami’s abilities and concluded that ability could be an unlimited supply of vast energy, but the only problem is what could that energy be used for.  The possibilities are quite endless to tell the truth, but this seal takes away any simple uses for it.

Shizen: (Has a more serious look as she tries to think).  Does the seal look as dangerous as my instincts suspect it is?

Adara: Possibly if whatever this seal is, is done wrong and perhaps emotions are involved like any other seal made.

Orion: (As he thinks back to the incident with Yami’s father).  So, Izumi… Might have taken part in the seal as well… But what does the seal do?

Adara: (Continues to stare at her work in thought).  That’s what is puzzling me here.  There are so many components it seems like it does so many things but….

Shizen: (Looks at Adara as she pauses now being worried for Yami’s safety even more).  But?

Adara: Something’s wrong… Like the work done on it is a little off… It’s difficult to explain but it just feels like he’s missing something in the work I saw… Just what is it?  (She seems to be in deep thought as she is going over the complicated seal in her head so many times).

Orion: Now that part I’m not sure of either since there could be many answers.

Adara: Yes, and that could be disastrous if it is wrong.

Shizen: (Looks down as she thinks).  So that could be why Izumi became so rageful and uncontrolled.

Adara: (Pauses with a slow nod).  It could be but the fact that Yami’s ability is stronger than his fathers could help the problem is it’s a uncontrollable energy.  It could either be worse if done wrong or the power is unstable, or whatever the outcome is that he wants is achieved though not sure what would be sacrificed as a result.

Orion: I’m sure it would be his life, but this seal doesn’t seem to be anything close to that since it requires that constant energy source.

Shizen: (Nods seeming very troubled by this).  I see… We’ll need to get to our world by tomorrow at latest… But I don’t want the others to panic more than they likely already are.

Adara: (Nods knowing the concern).  I will meet with the person with Yami after stopping at my study to collect things that may be needed.  I will need a short cut there, but I won’t meet them until right before dawn.  The one I am supposed to meet is Kishi correct?

Orion: Yes, that is correct since he is the one, I made contact with if anything were to happen to Yami.

Adara: Alright I will go as quick as possible….

Shizen: (Pets Adara’s head).  I am sure Kishi is doing his best until then and I am sure you will do all you can to help.

Adara: I will.  (As a thought pops into her head).  Oh, and while I’m thinking of that I was wondering if he would be cute.

Shizen: (Cannot help but laugh at the less serious question to try and lift the mood).  You certainly do have my forwardness.  (She then thinks to herself on the question).  Hmm he does have his father’s looks and personality so I would think so.

Adara: (Gets a smile hearing this as she laughs).  Well, I guess I will need to judge myself on this.

Orion: (He sighs).  Well just try to keep focused please.  Don’t want Kishi to get too distracted.

Adara: I will, after all there’s a lot at stake so I’ll keep most of that until after all of this.

Shizen: (Still laughs at Adara’s forwardness reminding her of herself).  That is wise then my little girl, just be careful.

Adara: I will, oh and I had something else you might need as well.  (She digs through her satchel and takes out a small, closed scroll).  I was thinking you might need this.

Shizen: (Has a grin as she takes the scroll with a map inside).  Yes, we needed a map especially with those who are not as familiar with all the spirit world holds.

Orion: Especially if we get separated then having that information will be very beneficial.

Adara: Yes, I thought so, but I must be off.  I have a lot to put to together.

Shizen: (Smiles and hugs Adara tightly kissing her on the forehead).  Please be careful my little girl….

Adara: (Smiles and hugs back).  Mom I’ll be fine, you worry too much.

Shizen: (Continues to hug Adara close).  I worry about you constantly because you’re my daughter, you should know that.

Orion: And I will worry as well, but I have more faith in your ability to get out of anything.

Adara: (Grins at Orion giving him a hug as well).  Thanks uncle, I’ll have news on things for you by around noon tomorrow.  I just hope I can grab enough things in my study to help Yami out in any situation we have here.

Orion: I know you will dear….  (He hugs her tight and pets her head).

Adara: (Grins as she’s saying her farewells letting go of the hug after a moment).  Well, I must be off, see you in a day or two.

Shizen: (Grins back and nods).  Take care then my baby girl, don’t do anything too dangerous.

Adara: (Can’t help but laugh as she pulls up her mask and scarf up over her face again).  Don’t worry I’m always cautious, you should know that.  (As she says this, she jumps onto the tree branch she sat on before and moves from tree to tree to reach the gate hidden she had made).

Shizen: (Smiles as she waves goodbye and says to Orion with a small laugh shaking her head).  Sometimes I think she too independent but then I must remember where she gets it from.

Orion: True she may be… But it’s because she has a wonderful mother that she knows has her back no matter what happens.

 

Shizen and Orion head out to the forest with the map in hand so they can make a plan as soon as possible.  They remain calm to keep the others calm knowing how they would react to some of the things Adara had told them.  While the group figures out a plan Yami has arrived at the capital as Kishi continues to escort him.  They walk to an underground area which holds dark spirits in the dungeon the others leaving Kishi to escort Yami to a cell more secluded from the other inmates.  The hallway is empty and quiet making their footsteps seeming to echo.

Yami: (Has seemed to calm down being away from Agni as he starts to look around curiously behind Kishi).  Wow… Place looks kind of bigger huh.

Kishi: (As he looks around to make sure that no one has come into the area as he sighs).  Yeah… It can be.

Yami: (Stops seeing the hallway of cells is empty besides them being there).  Yeah, kind of will be boring here, I guess.

Kishi: Yami I have been wanting to ask you something… What did you mean by that promise with Mis Luna?

Yami: (Stops looking at Kishi and shrugs like it’s nothing though not hiding it well while looking away).  It’s nothing… Just to take care of stuff.

Kishi: Ok… Just don’t let it be something reckless.  (He begins to have bad feeling knowing on how far Luna can take things in order to follow up on her promises).

Yami: (Continues to look away as he leans against the wall putting his arms behind his head having broken out of the restraints on them already).  It’s just a just in case if things end up going to shit.  (He shrugs again to hide).  No big deal just… Making sure… No matter what….

Kishi: Well… We will do everything thing, so things don’t go bad… I will make sure of that… But… Here’s your cell for now.  (He leads Yami towards a standard looking cell but with a comfy looking bed and simple wooden chair).  Now you may be asking why and it’s because I requested it and Kyoda was able to get the oks for this type of thing.

Yami: (Peaks his head inside to see what Kishi is talking about but is hesitant to go into the cell still).  Better than one had before at least….

Kishi: (As he looks down hearing Yami’s comment).  Yeah… I tried my best.

Yami: Yeah… At least don’t have to worry about breaking out as much… Well maybe if bored.  (He laughs lightly to try and make himself feel better about the situation but still looks hesitant to go in the cell).

Kishi: (Notices his fake laughing).  Yeah… And you still have the same habit as your brother….

Yami: (Wonders what Kishi is talking about for a moment but then looks down thinking about his big brother Kuro with a small smile).  Yeah… I guess learned a lot of that stuff from him… Think Kura did too.

Kishi: Yeah… It wasn’t good to hear about what happened to him… But I’m happy you and Kura could make it.  (As he tries to make the atmosphere better).

Yami: (He leans on the side of the cell door as he thinks about what happened).  Yeah… I don’t remember as much as Kura since he knocked me out to get me to hide better… Kura said she left flowers since there was a shadow where he was… But we made it out because of him… Just wonder how he would handle all this now.

Kishi: He probably would be charging in right now with a fit of rage and with Kura right behind him and Tori knowing how he can persuade people.

Yami: (Can’t help but laugh at that).  Yeah, they would… It’s funny guess I would do the same in a way… Guess I got that from him too.

Kishi: (He laughs a little as well).  Yeah… I would see that happening.

Yami: (The laughter goes down but still has a small smile as he looks down and thinks).  Well… Can’t do much about it now… Man… Wish was given different abilities, make things easier for everyone at least….

Kishi: That may be true but… Then someone else could be living with these struggles and knowing you I’m sure you wouldn’t be happy with it.

Yami: (Pauses thinking about what Kishi said).  Either that or just it not exist.  No one has to struggle with it or lose anybody else.  (He says as he thinks of all the people lost because of this ability).

Kishi: Yeah, that would have been preferred considering all that has happened.

Yami: (Looks downwards).  Yeah… A lot of people would be alive now… And dad wouldn’t have lost mom and went mad and….  (He cuts himself off from the sentence).  Yeah, a lot of stuff happened I guess… Can’t do much now but least make sure people we have now are safe.

Kishi: (He shakes his head in agreement).  Yes, that is true and that is all matters in the end really.

Yami: (Continues to think looking up at Kishi).  Maybe… When this is all over… I can go through the knight training… Kuro always wanted you to teach him that stuff and get stronger… But never could… Maybe I can get stronger doing that one day… If I’m not stuck in here or something….

Kishi: (He pats him on the back).  I would be happy to teach you everything I know.  It would the least I could do.

Yami: (Has a big grin).  Yeah, just need to get out of here, then I’ll even be strong enough beat you at sparring so bring it!  (He grins more as he is in a fighting stance as if ready to spare right then).

Kishi: Well don’t get too ahead of yourself, maybe you should beat Tori first than worry about me.  I imagine that’s a regular event with you.

Yami: (Crosses his arms stubbornly).  Hey, the last ones were just ties, I can beat him any day!

Kishi: Yes, yes whatever you say Yami.

Yami: (Has a small grumpy pout but then looks back in the cell still seeming hesitant to go in).  Guess I got to go in now… Kind a will be bored being there all night…. (Even though he says this it’s clearly not what is making him so hesitant).

Kishi: (He smiles as he looks down).  Don’t worry I’m going to be right by your cell the entire night.  I’m not going anywhere so we can keep talking if you wish.

Yami: (Looks down but seems to understand being relieved).  Just don’t like being in a cage like a wild animal… Guess I understand though from past stuff… Just don’t want to be in here forever.

Kishi: I won’t let that happen and I’m sure your group won’t allow that either.

Yami: Yeah… Your right.  (He smiles and nods as he finally steps into the cell as he goes to sit on the bed leaning against the wall).  Well guess it’s getting late, can’t really tell without a window.  Aren’t you gonna sleep like a normal person?

Kishi: No, I’m not, I slept earlier in the day so I’m ready to go for the night.  (As he gets into his favorite chair he brought down earlier).  No one is getting in your cell without me knowing.

Yami: (Looks at the empty hall seeming a little relieved but not admitting it with a smirk).  Well not like I couldn’t handle it myself.

Kishi: (He sighs).  Yes, yes you are all powerful… Just try to take it easy, ok?

Yami: Yeah, yeah ok just gonna do some training maybe while here but….  (He seems to pause like debating on saying something but only keeps it to one word as he looks up at the ceiling).  Thanks….

Kishi: (He laughs a little as he smiles).  Anytime Yami and go ahead, I’ll be right there if you need me.

Yami: (Smiles as he feels better about the situation not being alone though not admitting he’s happy having someone there though it’s not well hidden.  The rest of the night they continue to talk and catch up.  Yami tells his uncle about the group he’s with and the things they had done as Kishi tells Yami stories from his adventures as a knight, Yami seeming interested in them).
